- UEs can only reside in one wireless system (called Single Radio) at the same time due to capacity limitations and energy saving requirements, such as when the UE resides in LTE
- the paging message cannot be received from UTRAN/GERAN at this time.
- An evolved NodeB (eNodeB) can provide a ratio on an air interface.
- the UTRAN has higher uplink and downlink rates, lower transmission delay and more reliable wireless transmission.
- the eNodeB provides radio resources for terminal access and establishes an S1 control plane link with the mobility management unit (MME) of the core network.

- Mobility Management Entity is a control plane entity that temporarily stores user data. It is responsible for managing and storing UE contexts (such as UE/user ID, mobility management status, and user security parameters). - the SG network element of the SAE and the VLR of the traditional circuit domain switching network are connected through the SGs interface. Summary of the invention
- the replacement of traditional circuit domain switching networks by SAE networks is a long-term trend. In this process, since the traditional circuit domain switching network has better wireless coverage and stable service, it is an effective supplement to the SAE network. When SAE is unable to provide satisfactory traditional voice services, it can be transferred to traditional circuit domains.
- the exchange network provides related services. This mechanism of fallback to the traditional circuit domain switching network is called Circuit Switch Fallback (CSFB) technology.
- CSFB Circuit Switch Fallback
- a UE that can fall back to the traditional circuit domain switching network for service is called a dual mode single radio UE.
- the CSFB technology establishes an SGs interface between the MME of the SAE and the VLR of the traditional circuit domain switching network.
- the MME can enable the UE roaming under the LTE to trigger the location update process of the traditional circuit domain switching network, so that the UE registers in the traditional circuit domain switching network while the SAE is active.
- the process includes the following steps:
- Step 201 The UE in the LTE is powered on or changes the Tracking Area (TA), and initiates an ATTACH or a Tracking Area Update (TAU) operation.
- TA Tracking Area
- TAU Tracking Area Update
- Step 202 The MME receives the foregoing message, and performs registration in the SAE to the HSS.
- Step 203 After the registration is successful, the MME derives a location area (LAI) of the UE in the traditional circuit domain switching network by using the tracking area where the UE is located, and locates the corresponding VLR. The MME sends the location through the SGs interface. Update request to the VLR;
- LAI location area
- Step 204 If the VLR does not have user data, or the VLR considers that the user data is unreliable, the VLR sends a location update request to the HLR;
- Step 205 The HLR inserts the user data into the VLR, and the VLR records the user subscription data, and returns a response.
- Step 206 The HLR returns a success response of the location update, and records the number of the VLR where the user is located.
- Step 207 The VLR returns a location update complete message to the MME, and modifies the status of the SGs interface to be activated.
- FIG. 3 specifically includes:
- Step 301 After receiving the IAM (Initial Address Message) of the external network, the GMSC finds the called HLR according to the called MSISDN number (ie, the user's phone number), and sends an SRI (Send Routing Information) to the HLR. Information) request, with the user's MSISDN number;

- the MSRN uniquely identifies the MSCWLR and the called UE;
- Step 303 the HLR returns an SRI response to the GMSC, and the response carries the MSRN;
- Step 304 The GMSC then routes the call to the MSCWLR according to the MSRN.
- Step 305 The MSCWLR initiates a CS paging process from the SGs to the MME, where the MME is
- LTE internally initiates a CS paging process
- Step 306 The UE rolls back to the circuit domain, and initiates a paging response from the traditional circuit domain switching network.
- Step 307 If necessary, the MSCWLR performs an access operation.
- Step 308 The MSCWLR sends a call setup request (Setup) to the UE.
- Step 309 The MSCWLR, the RNC, and the UE complete the remaining called establishment process.
- the HLR in the traditional circuit domain switching network may lose the user's dynamic data, including the number of the VLR of the user, in the event of a failure. This will cause the HLR to fail to obtain the MSRN from the VLR and the subscriber will therefore not be called as a call.
- the HLR in the traditional circuit domain switching network sends a reset message (RESET) to the VLR after the restart, and the VLR receives the user data to be unreliable.
- RESET reset message
- the VLR will initiate a location update operation to the HLR, so that the HLR regains the VLR number of the user.
- the above method can effectively solve the HLR restart problem in the traditional circuit domain switching network.
- the MME initiates a flow to the VLR only when the UE is powered on or changes the tracking area. Therefore, if the UE does not move, and does not restart, the VLR The location update message will not be received and will not be registered with the HLR. As a result, the restarted HLR cannot obtain the VLR number, and the user will not be able to receive incoming calls from the traditional circuit domain switched network for a long time.
- the present invention provides a method and system for processing an HLR reset, so as to solve the problem that a UE residing in LTE cannot perform a call reception circuit domain switching network incoming call after the HLR of the traditional circuit domain switching network is restarted.
