Abstract
Selon l'invention, des commutateurs de réseau contrôlés par un serveur de contrôle peuvent comprendre des ports à travers lesquels sont reçus et transmis des paquets de réseau. Un architecte peut configurer le serveur de contrôle pour créer des commutateurs virtuels. Chaque commutateur virtuel peut être formé d'un sous-ensemble des ports des commutateurs de réseau. L'architecte peut affecter des administrateurs aux commutateurs virtuels. Les administrateurs peuvent configurer les commutateurs virtuels. Un administrateur peut utiliser une interface à ligne de commande pour configurer un commutateur virtuel. L'administrateur peut utiliser des commandes comme une commande d'affichage des ports, une commande de liste d'accès, une commande d'affichage de liste d'accès et une commande de règles d'appartenance pour gérer le commutateur virtuel. Le serveur de contrôle peut empêcher l'administrateur de se connecter aux commutateurs virtuels qui ont été affectés à d'autres administrateurs.
