Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un appareil et à un procédé destinés à manipuler des fluides de forage au cours d'une opération de forage sous-marine. Le procédé comprend la mise en place d'un corps au niveau d'un site de puits sous-marin et la réception d'un fluide de forage et de solides entraînés dans la chambre depuis un puits de forage sur le site de puits sous-marin. Le fluide de forage et les solides entraînés sont traités sur le site de puits sous-marin pour disperser et/ou fluidiser les solides entraînés par l'actionnement d'au moins une pompe de coupe, qui sert également à pomper le fluide de forage et les solides entraînés traités depuis une sortie jusqu'à un conduit de retour. Le fluide de forage et les solides entraînés traités sont acheminés jusqu'à la surface grâce au pompage du fluide de forage et des solides entraînés dans le conduit de retour.
