Abstract

L'invention concerne une sangle de maintien de sécurité pour un siège qui oblige les occupants à utiliser la sangle de maintien parce qu'elle empêche le fonctionnement du véhicule lorsque la sangle de maintien n'est pas bouclée de façon appropriée. La sangle de maintien peut être fournie en combinaison avec un siège de sécurité. L'orientation de la sangle de maintien par rapport au siège peut être modifiée pour permettre à la sangle de maintien d'être bouclée confortablement pour des occupants de différentes formes et dimensions. La sangle de maintien comprend deux éléments de maintien qui peuvent être adaptés sur un siège. Les montures pour la sangle de maintien sont enfermées dans des boîtiers, qui peuvent également jouer le rôle d'accoudoirs ou d'éléments de maintien latéraux. Les boîtiers de préférence limitent le degré d'orientation avec laquelle la sangle de maintien peut être modifiée et empêchent également un opérateur d'effectuer aisément des manœuvres abusives avec les montures des éléments de maintien. Les éléments de maintien selon l'invention peuvent être avantageusement être adaptés à de nouveaux véhicules ou installés sur des véhicules existants.
