Abstract

Conformément à certains modes de réalisation, l'invention concerne un système et un procédé d'estimation de l'emplacement géographique auquel des données d'image ont été capturées à l'aide d'un appareil photographique. Lesdits système et procédé identifient des points caractéristiques correspondant entre les images capturées, estiment une pose de l'appareil photographique pendant la capture d'image à partir des points caractéristiques, effectuent une reconstruction géométrique d'une scène dans les images à l'aide de la pose estimée de l'appareil photographique pour obtenir une scène reconstruite, et comparent la scène reconstruite à des images en vue de dessus d'une origine géographique connue pour identifier des correspondances potentielles.
