Description

ブーツバンド
 本発明は、ゴム、樹脂等からなるブーツ等の被締付部材を締め付けることにより被締付部材を相手部材に固定するブーツバンドに関する。
 ブーツバンドは例えば、エンジンの駆動力を駆動軸から従動軸に伝達する等速ジョイントに用いられる。等速ジョイントにおいては、動力伝達部分が蛇腹状のブーツによって覆われており、このブーツの内部にグリースが封入されている。ブーツバンドはブーツ両端部の外周に巻き付けられて縮径されることにより、ブーツを締め付けてブーツの内部からグリースが漏れ出ることを防止する。このようなブーツバンドには、締付工具による締め付けが可能なように一対の工具爪が設けられ、一対の工具爪を介して縮径方向の締め付け力を作用させるようになっている。
 図12は従来のブーツバンド1を示す。ブーツバンド1は金属薄板からなるバンド本体3からなり、ブーツ等の被締付部材が内部を貫通するようにリング状に巻回された状態で締め付けが行われる。このようなバンド本体3の巻回に際しては、上下で重なり合う重なり部分を有するように行われることから、バンド本体3は相互に重なり合う外側重なり部4及び内側重なり部5を有している。
 図12(a)で示すように、ブーツバンド1の外側重なり部4の先端側には、第1工具爪7が形成される一方、内側重なり部5には第1工具爪7と対となる第2工具爪6が形成されている。これらの一対の工具爪7,6はリング状のバンド本体3を縮径方向に締め付けるための工具爪であり、締付工具の爪部(図示省略)が引っ掛けられる。
 第2工具爪6は径方向外側に向かって立ち上がるようにプレス成形されており、これにより第2工具爪6には、第1工具爪7に向かって開放された開口部6bが形成され、開口部6bの外側壁が押え部6aとなっている。一方、外側重なり部4における第1工具爪7よりも先端(自由端)は、平坦状となって延びる端末部14となっており、この端末部14が開口部6bから第2工具爪6に入り込むようになっている。開口部6bに入り込んだ端末部14は押え部6aによって外側から押さえられて径方向外側への浮き上がりが防止される。このように外側重なり部4の先端の端末部14が第2工具爪6に入り込むことにより外側重なり部4の先端(端末部14)が押え部6aによって押さえられるため、締め付け時に外側重なり部4を内側方向に押さえる操作が不要となる。このため縮径方向への締め付け操作だけで締め付けを行うことができ、締め付けを1アクションで行うことができ、作業性が向上する。特許文献1には、図12と同様に外側重なり部の先端に設けた端末部を第2工具爪が押さえることにより1アクションでの締め付けを可能としたブーツバンドが記載されている。
 従来のブーツバンドにおいては、図12(a)で示すように外側重なり部4には複数の係合孔12,13が長さ方向に沿って形成され、内側重なり部5には係合孔12,13に係合する係合爪11が形成されている。係合爪11は外側重なり部4の先端側を向いて傾斜状に立ち上がっている。図12(a)はリング状のバンド本体3が仮止め状態を示し、仮止め状態では係合爪11は外側重なり部4の先端側に位置している先端側係合孔12と係合しており、バンド本体3に対して縮径方向への締め付け力F(図12(b)参照)を作用させることにより、先端側係合孔12が係合爪11を乗り越え、この乗り越えの後、先端側係合孔12に続く後続係合孔13が係合爪11と係合する。この係合によりバンド本体3は被締付部材を締め付ける縮径状態を保持した状態となる。
 以上の従来のブーツバンド1においては、バンド本体3の締め付け時に内側重なり部5が座屈する問題を有している。座屈が発生するメカニズムを図12により説明する。
 図12(a)は、係合爪11が先端側係合孔12に係合することによりバンド本体3がリング状となっている仮止め状態である。この状態に対し、締付工具によって縮径方向の締め付け力Fをバンド本体3に作用させると、図12(b)で示すように先端側係合孔12が係合爪11の背面11aをスライドしながら係合爪11を乗り越えるように摺動する。この乗り越えの際に、外側重なり部4における先端側係合孔12の後側が係合爪11の背面11aと囓りを生じて摺動がロックされる。
 摺動がロックされることにより、バンド本体3の縮径のために消費されるべき荷重が内側重なり部5における係合爪11と第2工具爪6との間に負荷される。このように先端側の係合孔12の摺動がロックした状態では、締め付け力Fを作用させても、締め付け力Fの荷重を内側重なり部5における係合爪11と第2工具爪6との間で受けていると同じ状態となる。そして、バンド本体3の締め付け荷重がバンド本体3の耐座屈荷重を上回った過負荷状態になると、内側重なり部5における係合爪11と第2工具爪6との間に座屈16が発生する(図12(c)参照)。
 特許文献1には、図12と同様に外側重なり部の先端に設けた端末部を第2工具爪が押さえることにより1アクションでの締め付けを可能とした構造のブーツバンドであり、上述した内側重なり部5の座屈発生を防止した構造が記載されている。この特許文献1においては、外側重なり部4における先端側係合孔12と第1工具爪7との間にスリット等を形成することにより、これらの間の剛性を小さくしている。このように剛性を小さくすることによりバンド本体の締め付け時に外側重なり部4が内側重なり部5における係合爪11と第2工具爪6との間を押し付けるように摺動することが可能となり、あわせて外側重なり部が係合爪11の背面を中心方向に押し付ける荷重が低減される。これにより内側重なり部5における係合爪11と第2工具爪6との間の座屈16の発生を防止することが可能となる。
 また、特許文献1には、内側重なり部5における第2工具爪6と係合爪11の間にリブ等を形成することにより、第2工具爪6と係合爪11の間の剛性を高くし耐座屈荷重を高め、これにより内側重なり部5における係合爪11と第2工具爪6との間の座屈16の発生を防止することが記載されている。

 被締付部材としてのブーツとしては、硬質な樹脂製のブーツの他に、ゴム製のブーツが用いられる。ゴム製のブーツは樹脂製のブーツよりも軟らかいため、その締め付けに用いるブーツバンドは樹脂製のブーツに用いるブーツバンドよりも板厚を薄く、または板幅を狭めて断面積を小さくすることが出来ることから軽量化が可能であるメリットがある。しかしながら板厚が薄い反面、剛性が低くなるため、締め付け時の耐座屈荷重が低下する。この場合には、特許文献1記載の座屈防止構造であっても、耐座屈荷重を十分に高めることができず、座屈発生を防止することが難しい事態が発生する場合がある。このようなことから板厚が薄い場合においても座屈発生を防止することが可能な構造のブーツバンドの要求が高まっている。
 本発明は、このような事情を考慮してなされたものであり、特許文献1と同様に1アクションでの締め付けを可能とした構造のブーツバンドであり、しかも板厚を薄くする、又は板幅を狭めた場合にあっても座屈が発生することを防止することが可能なブーツバンドを提供することを目的とする。
 本発明のブーツバンドは、外側重なり部及び内側重なり部が相互に重なり合ったリング状態となって被締付部材の外周に巻き付けられるバンド本体と、前記外側重なり部の先端側に形成された第1工具爪と、この第1工具爪よりも先端における外側重なり部に形成された平坦状の端末部と、この端末部が挿入可能な開口部及びこの開口部に挿入された端末部を外側から押さえる押え部を有して前記内側重なり部に形成され、前記第1工具爪と共にバンド本体を縮径させて締め付ける第2工具爪と、前記外側重なり部の長さ方向に沿って形成された複数の係合孔と、前記外側重なり部の先端側を向いて傾斜状に立ち上がった状態で前記内側重なり部に形成された係合爪とを備え、前記係合爪が外側重なり部の長さ方向の先端側に位置している先端側係合孔に入り込んだ状態に対し、縮径方向の締め付け力をバンド本体に作用させることにより先端側係合孔が係合爪を乗り越え、先端側係合孔に続く後続係合孔が係合爪と係合するブーツバンドであって、前記先端側係合孔の後端部に、前記係合爪に対向したガイド手段が設けられていることを特徴とする。
 この場合、前記ガイド手段は、前記先端側係合孔の後端部における内側重なり部側に設けられるR部であることが好ましい。
 又、前記ガイド手段は、前記係合爪に沿った傾斜部を有していることが好ましい。
 又、前記ガイド手段は、前記先端側係合孔の後端部から係合爪の立上がり方向に沿って傾斜状に立ち上がるガイド爪であり、前記傾斜部は前記ガイド爪における係合爪との対向面に設けられていることが好ましい。
 又、前記ガイド手段は、前記先端側係合孔における前記係合爪と対向する後端部の内面であり、前記傾斜部は前記後端部の内面に設けられていることが好ましい。
 又、前記縮径方向の締め付け力によって前記ガイド手段が前記係合爪の背面を乗り越え可能となっており、前記係合爪の背面の傾斜角度が乗り越え初期角度β及びこれに続く乗り越え終期角度αの2段に形成されると共に、α<βの関係となっていることが好ましい。
 又、前記縮径方向の締め付け力によって前記ガイド手段が前記係合爪の背面を乗り越え可能となっており、前記係合爪の背面の傾斜角度が乗り越え初期角度β及びこれに続く乗り越え終期角度αの2段に形成されると共に、前記ガイド手段の傾斜部の角度γに対し、α<β<γの関係となっていることが好ましい。
 本発明において、係合爪が入り込む先端側係合孔における係合爪との対向部位にガイド手段が設けられているため、バンド本体の締め付け時に外側重なり部が係合爪と囓りを生じることがなくなる。このため、外側重なり部が係合爪の背面に乗り上げ、さらに乗越える際の抵抗が小さくなり、円滑に移動して乗越えることが可能となる。これにより、内側重なり部に過負荷の荷重が作用することがなくなり、バンド本体の板厚を薄くした場合であっても内側重なり部の係合爪と第2工具爪との間の部分に座屈が発生することがなくなる。

 以下、本発明を図示する実施形態により具体的に説明する。
(第1実施形態)
 図1~図7は、本発明の第1実施形態を示す。図1~図3に示すようにブーツバンド31は、金属薄板からなるバンド本体33によって形成されている。
 バンド本体33は金属薄板がプレス打ち抜きされることにより帯状に形成されており、帯状からリング状に巻回した状態でブーツ等の被締付部材(図示省略)の締め付けに用いられる。リング状に巻回されたバンド本体33は、相互に重なり合う外側重なり部34及び内側重なり部35が形成され、これらの重なり部34,35を縮径方向(図2の矢印F方向)に引き寄せることにより、被締付部材を締め付けるようになっている。
 外側重なり部34の先端側(図1における右端側)には、第1工具爪37が径方向外側に立ち上がるように形成されている。この第1工具爪37よりもさらに先端(右端)である自由端には、平坦状の端末部38が形成されている。端末部38は後述する第2工具爪36に臨むように形成されるものである。
 内側重なり部35には、第1工具爪37と対をなす第2工具爪36が形成されている。第2工具爪36は、内側重なり部35に立ち上がり状に形成されるものであり、開口部36b及び押え部36aを有している。開口部36bは、第1工具爪37側が開口しており、これにより外側重なり部34の端末部38が挿入可能となっている。押え部36aは開口部36bの外側を覆っており、開口部36bに挿入された端末部38を外側から押え付けるように作用する。
 このように外側重なり部34の端末部38が内側重なり部35に設けた第2工具爪36の押え部36aに押え付けられることにより、バンド本体33の締め付け時に外側重なり部34が浮き上がることがないため、外側重なり部4を内側方向に押さえる操作が不要となる。このため縮径方向への締め付け操作だけで締め付けを行うことができ、締め付けを1アクションで行うことができ、作業性が向上する。
 内側重なり部35には係合爪41がプレス切り起こしによって形成されている。係合爪41は外側重なり部34の先端側(図3及び図4における右端側)を向いた傾斜状に立ち上がった状態となって内側重なり部35に形成されている。すなわち、係合爪41は図3及び図4に示すように外側重なり部34の先端側に向かって徐々に高くなる傾斜を有して立ち上がっている。ここでの係合爪41は外側重なり部34の先端側に対応するように内側重なり部35に形成された係合爪であり、内側重なり部35における係合爪41の後側(外側重なり部34から離れる側)には、さらに第2の係合爪47が所定間隔を有して形成されている。第2の係合爪47も係合爪41と同様に外側重なり部34の先端側(図3及び図4における右端側)を向いた傾斜状に立ち上がった状態となって形成されている。
 外側重なり部34には、複数の係合孔42,43,44が長さ方向に沿って形成されている。この内、係合孔42は外側重なり部34の最も先端側(図1における右端側)に位置することにより先端側係合孔42となっている。係合孔43は先端側係合孔42よりも後側に形成されることにより後続係合孔43となっている。先端側係合孔42に内側重なり部35の係合爪41が入り込んで係合することによりバンド本体33のリング状を保持する仮止め状態となる。一方、バンド本体33の縮径方向への締め付けによって係合爪41は先端側係合孔42から後続係合孔43に相対的に移動して後続係合孔43に係合する。この係合によってバンド本体33は被締付部材を締め付ける締め付け状態を保持する。係合孔44は第3の係合孔となっており、後続係合孔43よりもさらに後側に形成されている。第3の係合孔44に対してはバンド本体33の締め付け時に第2の係合爪47が入り込んで係合する。
 ブーツバンド31には、ガイド手段51が先端側係合孔42に形成されている。この実施形態において、ガイド手段51は先端側係合孔42の後端部(図3及び図4において、左端部)42aから立ち上がるガイド爪52によって形成されている。
 図3及び図4に示すようにガイド爪52は先端側係合孔42の後端部(左端部)42aから係合爪41に向かって傾斜状に立ち上がるようにプレス成型等により形成されている。すなわちガイド爪52は係合爪41に向かって徐々に高くなる傾斜を有して立ち上がっている。このようにガイド爪52が傾斜状に立ち上がることにより、ガイド爪52の下面が係合爪41の背面46に対向している。そして係合爪41の背面46に対向したガイド爪52の下面は、係合爪41の背面46と同じ方向に傾斜する傾斜部53となっている。また、傾斜部53の根元部すなわち最後端部(図示左端部)はなだらかなR部56となっている。
 R部56は先端側係合孔42の後端部42aにおける内側重なり部34側の形成されており、傾斜部53はこのR部56から連続するように形成されている。傾斜部53は、R部56を起点して係合爪41の背面46の傾斜に沿って傾斜しており、バンド本体33の縮径方向の締め付けに際し、係合爪41の背面に円滑に乗り上げて、係合爪との囓りを生じることなく摺動するように作用する。
 なお、この実施形態においては、後続係合孔43にもガイド爪52と同様な形状の第2のガイド爪57が形成されている(図1参照)。第2のガイド爪57は第2の係合爪47に対応しており、第2の係合爪47の背面に対向した下面に同じ方向に傾斜するR部及び傾斜部が形成されている。このような第2のガイド爪57は、バンド本体33の仮止め時からバンド本体33の締め付けの際に第2の係合爪47の背面に円滑に乗り上げて、係合爪との囓りを生じることなく摺動するように作用する。これによりバンド本体33の締め付けの際に、より円滑な縮径が可能となる。なお、ガイド爪52のみの作用により円滑な縮径が確保可能となる場合、第2のガイド爪57は省略することができる。
 次に、この実施形態のブーツバンド31を締め付ける動作を図5により説明する。
 図5(a)はバンド本体33をリング状とした仮止め状態を示す。この仮止め状態では、係合爪41が先端側の係合孔42に入り込んで係合し、この係合によりバンド本体33のリング状態が保持されている。
 図5(b)は、図5(a)の状態に対し第1工具爪37及び第2工具爪36に締付工具の爪部を引っ掛けてバンド本体33に縮径方向への締め付け力Fを作用させた状態を示す。縮径方向への締め付け力Fにより外側重なり部34の先端側係合孔42が係合爪41を乗り上げ始める。先端側係合孔42が係合爪41に乗り上げる際には、ガイド爪52の傾斜部53の根元部のR部56により係合爪41の背面46に円滑に乗り上げて係合爪41の背面46をスライドする。このためガイド爪52を含めた外側重なり部34が係合爪41 の背面46に乗り上げる際の抵抗が小さくなり、囓りを生じることがない。
 これにより、先端側係合孔42のガイド爪52が係合爪41の背面46に円滑に乗り上げた状態でスライドするため、バンド本体33を円滑に縮径させることができる。
 図5(c)は、図5(b)の状態からさらにバンド本体33を縮径させた状態を示す。この状態では、ガイド爪52の傾斜部53が係合爪41の背面46を通過して外側重なり部34が係合爪41の背面46上をスライドして背面46を乗り越える直前となっている。図5(c)の状態では、先端側係合孔42のガイド爪52が係合爪41の背面46に円滑に乗り上げた状態で摺動するため、バンド本体33を円滑に縮径させることができる。
 このように、この実施形態では、傾斜部53が係合爪41の背面46に円滑に乗り上げて係合爪41の背面46をスライドすることにより、先端側係合孔42が係合爪41を乗り越えることができる。この乗り越えにより、後側に形成された後続係合孔43が係合爪41まで相対的に移動し、この相対移動により係合爪41が後続係合孔43に入り込んで係合する(図5(d))。この係合によりバンド本体33をリング状態からさらに締め付けた縮径状態を保持することができる。このバンド本体33の締め付けにおいては、外側重なり部34の端末部38が第2工具爪36の開口部36bに入り込んで押え部36aに押え付けられるため、外側重なり部34が外側に浮き上がることがない。このためバンド本体33の締め付け時に外側重なり部34を内側方向に押さえる操作が不要となって締め付けを1アクションで行うことができ、締め付けの操作性が向上する。
 このような実施形態では、バンド本体33の締め付けにおいて、先端側係合孔42が係合爪41の背面4を乗り上げる際に、外側重なり部33と係合爪41とが囓りを生じることがなく、バンド本体33が円滑に縮径される。このため内側重なり部35における係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間に部分に過負荷の荷重が作用することがなく、バンド本体33の板厚を薄くした場合であっても内側重なり部35における係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に座屈が発生することを防止することができる。
 図6は、この実施形態における係合爪41の背面46の構造を示している。図6においては、係合爪41の背面46の傾斜を係合孔42の乗り越えの初期の初期傾斜部46aと、これに続く乗り越えの終期の終期傾斜部46bとの2段とするものである。
 これに加えて、初期傾斜部46aの傾斜角度(乗り越え初期角度)β及び終期傾斜部46bの傾斜角度(乗り越え終期角度)αをα<βの関係とするものである。これにより傾斜角度α、βをブーツからの反力の大きさに合わせることが可能となる。すなわち、図5(b)で示すバンド本体33の締め付け初期においては、バンド本体33に対するブーツの反力が小さいため、大きな乗り越え初期角度βとしてもバンド本体33に過負荷の荷重が作用することによる影響が少ない。
 一方、図5(c)で示すバンド本体33の締め付け終期においては、バンド本体33に対するブーツの反力が大きくなるため、乗り越え終期角度αを小さくしている。これにより、ブーツの反力によって径が大きくなる方向への力がバンド本体33に加わって内側重なり部35が外側重なり部34の方向に動いても、係合爪41の背面46とガイド爪52との接触圧を低くすることが可能となり、これらの間に発生する摩擦力も小さくなる。このため、締め付け終期においてもガイド爪52の傾斜部53が係合爪41の背面46に乗り上げた状態で係合爪41の背面46をさらに円滑に摺動できるため、ガイド爪52と係合爪41とが囓ることがなく、囓りに起因した過負荷の荷重が内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に作用することがない。従って、図5に示す一連のバンド本体33の締め付け動作をさらに円滑に行うことができ、バンド本体33の板厚を薄くした場合であっても内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に座屈が発生することをさらに確実に防止することができる。かかる作用を行うため、傾斜角度αとしては12°前後、傾斜角度βとしては19°前後に設定される。
 図7は、図6の係合爪41の背面46に対する傾斜角度に加えて、ガイド爪52における傾斜部53の傾斜角度を調整する形態を示す。
 図7において、係合爪41の背面46には、乗り越え初期角度βで傾斜している初期傾斜部46a及び乗り越え終期角度αで傾斜した状態で初期傾斜部46aに続く終期傾斜部46bが形成されると共に、α<βの関係となっていることは図6と同様である。
 図7においては、さらに先端側係合孔42のガイド爪52における傾斜部53の傾斜角度γに対し、α<β<γの関係とするものである。先端側係合孔42のガイド爪52が係合爪41に向かって傾斜状に立ち上がっていることから、その傾斜部53は係合爪41の背面46と同方向に傾斜している。この傾斜部53の傾斜角度γを係合爪41の背面46の傾斜部46a、46bの角度β、αに対し、α<β<γとすることにより、傾斜部53は係合爪41の背面46における傾斜部46a、46bよりも大きく立ち上がった状態となる。すなわち、傾斜部53を有するガイド爪52は係合爪41よりも先端側に向かって高くなるように立ち上がっており、傾斜部53と係合爪41の背面46との間に先端側に向かって必然的に隙間が生じている。
 このようにガイド爪52の傾斜部53の傾斜角度γを係合爪41の背面46の傾斜角度α及びβよりも大きくして、傾斜部53と係合爪41の背面46との間に隙間を設けた構造であるため、バンド本体33を縮径方向に締め付け力Fを作用させた場合、傾斜部53が係合爪41の背面46における初期傾斜部46aに対面した締め付け初期では、傾斜部53の先端部(図示右側)が初期傾斜部46aに接触することなく、ガイド爪52の傾斜部53の根元部のR部56が初期傾斜部46aに接触する。このとき、根元部のR部56によりガイド爪52の傾斜部53が初期傾斜部46aに円滑に乗り上げてスライド  摺動するため、これらの間で囓りが発生しない。これにより図5に示すバンド本体33の初期における締め付け動作を円滑に且つ確実に行うことができ、内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に座屈が発生することを確実に防止することができる。
 さらに、バンド本体33の締め付け時 終期におけるブーツの反力が大きくなる場合においても、ガイド爪52の傾斜部53の傾斜角度γが係合爪41の傾斜角度(乗り越え終期角度)αよりも大きく設定されるため、ガイド爪52の先端部(図示右側)の 終期傾斜部46bに接触することがない。また、終期傾斜部46bの傾斜角度(乗り越え終期角度)αを初期傾斜部46aの傾斜角度(乗り越え初期角度)βより小さく設定することにより、ガイド爪52の傾斜部53と係合爪41の背面46との接触圧を低くすることができ、これらの間に発生する摩擦力も小さくなる。従って、締め付け終期の場合においても、傾斜部53が終期傾斜部46bに乗り上げた状態で円滑に摺動するため、ガイド爪52と係合爪41とが囓ることがなく、囓りに起因した過負荷の荷重が内側重なり部35部の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に作用することがない。これにより、内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に座屈が発生することを確実に防止することができる。
 図7に示す構成とすることにより、図5に示すバンド本体33の一連の締め付け動作を締め付け初期から終期まで全ての領域で円滑に行うことができ、バンド本体33の板厚を薄くした場合であっても内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に座屈が発生することをさらに確実に防止することができる。
(第2実施形態)
 図8及び図9は、本発明の第2実施形態のブーツバンド31Aを示す。ブーツバンド31Aにおいては、ガイド手段51が先端側係合孔42における係合爪41と対向する後端部42aの内面55であり、傾斜部53がこの内面55に設けられている点で第1実施形態と異なっており、他の構成部材は第1実施形態と同様である。
 この実施形態のブーツバンド31Aにおいても、内側重なり部35の係合爪41に対し、先端側係合孔42及び後側の後続係合孔43が外側重なり部34の長さ方向に沿って形成されている。先端側係合孔42の内面55の傾斜部53は、係合爪41の背面46の傾斜に沿っており、背面46と同じ方向に傾斜するようにプレス成型やコイニング等により形成されている。また、傾斜部53の根元部つまり端部(図示左端部)には、R部57が形成されている。R部57は先端側係合孔42の後端部42aにおける内側重なり部34側に形成されており、傾斜部53はこのR部57から連続するように形成されている。
 このような傾斜部53及びR部57を有した先端側係合孔42の内面55は本発明のガイド手段51を構成する。すなわち、傾斜部53が係合爪41の背面46の傾斜に沿って形成され、傾斜部53の根元部のR部57が形成されることにより、バンド本体33の縮径方向への締め付けに際し、傾斜部53はR部57により係合爪41の背面46に円滑に乗り上げるように作用するものである。これによりバンド本体33の締め付け初期における締め付け動作を円滑に行うことができ、内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に座屈が発生することを確実に防止することができる。
 上記構造において、バンド本体33をさらに縮径方向に締め付けると、先端側係合孔42が係合爪41を乗り越えるように動作するが、先端側係合孔42が係合爪41を乗り越える際には、先端側係合孔42の内面55を形成する傾斜部53が係合爪41の背面46に乗り上げた状態で円滑に摺動する。このため、外側重なり部33が係合爪41の背面46を囓りを生じることがなく、内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に過負荷の荷重が作用することがない。従って、バンド本体33の板厚を薄くした場合であっても、第1実施形態と同様に内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に座屈が発生することを防止することができる。
 この実施形態においても、係合爪41の背面46を図6と同様に初期傾斜部46a及びこれに続く終期傾斜部46bの2段とし、初期傾斜部46aの傾斜角度β及び終期傾斜部46bの傾斜角度αをα<βの関係とすることができる。このような角度設定を行うことにより、図6と同様にバンド本体33の縮径方向への締め付けによって先端側係合孔42が係合爪41の背面46を移動する際、乗越え終期段階でブーツの反力により発生する係合爪41の終期傾斜部46bと傾斜部53との接触圧と、その間の摩擦力を小さくすることが可能となり、係合孔42が係合爪41の背面46に乗り上げて乗越えるまでの全域でさらに円滑にスライド可能となる。これにより外側重なり部33が係合爪41と囓ることがないため、囓りに起因した過負荷の荷重がバンド本体33の内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に作用することがない。このためバンド本体33の板厚を薄くした場合であっても、内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に座屈が発生することを確実に防止することができる。
 又、この実施形態においても、図7と同様に先端側係合孔42の内面55を構成する傾斜部53の傾斜角度γに対し、α<β<γの関係とすることができる。このように傾斜部53の傾斜角度γを係合爪41の背面46における傾斜部46a、46bの角度β、αよりも大きくすることにより、傾斜部53は傾斜部46a、46bよりも大きく立ち上がった状態となる。これにより先端側係合孔42の内面55の傾斜部53と係合爪41の背面46との間に先端側に向かって必然的に隙間が生じる。従って、バンド本体33を縮径方向に締め付ける初期及び終期のいずれにおいても、先端側係合孔42の内面55の先端部(図示右側)が係合爪41と接触することがない。また、締め付け初期では、傾斜部53の根元部のR部57が係合爪41の初期傾斜部46aに接触する。この時、根元部のR部57により傾斜部53が初期傾斜部46aに円滑に乗り上げて摺動するため、囓りを生じることがなく、締め付け初期における囓りに起因した過負荷の荷重が内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に作用することがない。
 また、締め付け終期においても、傾斜部53と係合爪41の背面46との接触圧を低くすることができ、これらの間に発生する摩擦力も小さくすることができる。従って、傾斜部53が終期傾斜部46bに乗り上げた状態で円滑に摺動するため、傾斜部53と係合爪41とが囓ることがなく、囓りに起因した過負荷の荷重が内側重なり部35部の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に作用することがない。以上により、締め付け動作を締め付け初期から終期まで全ての領域で、内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に座屈が発生することをさらに確実に防止することができる。これによりバンド本体33の板厚を薄くした場合であっても、内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に座屈が発生することを確実に 防止することができる。
 図10及び図11は、第2実施形態の変形形態を示す。この実施形態においては、ガイド手段51が先端側係合孔42における係合爪41と対向する後端部42aの内面55の内側重なり部35側にプレス成型やコイニング等により設けられるR部57であり、傾斜部53が設けられない点で図8及び図9の実施形態と異なっており、他の構成部材は第2実施形態と同様である。この変形形態におけるR部57は先端側係合孔42の後端部42aの根元部に形成され、R部57には直線部58が連続して形成されている。
 この実施の形態においても、締め付け初期において先端側係合孔42の内面55がが係合爪41の初期傾斜部46aに接触する際に、根元部のR部57により初期傾斜部46aに円滑に乗り上げてスライドするため、囓りを生じることがなく、締め付け初期における囓りに起因した過負荷の荷重が内側重なり部35の係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に作用することがない。
 この実施形態においても、バンド本体33の締め付けの際に、先端側係合孔42が係合爪41の背面4に乗り乗り上げる際に、外側重なり部33と係合爪41とが囓りを生じることがなく、バンド本体33が円滑に縮径される。このため内側重なり部35における係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間に部分に過負荷の荷重が作用することがなく、バンド本体33の板厚を薄くした場合であっても内側重なり部35における係合爪41と第2工具爪36との間の部分に座屈が発生することを防止することができる。
 なお、図8~図11に示す第2実施形態においても、外側重なり部33の先端に平坦な端末部38を形成すると共に、内側重なり部35の第2工具爪36の開口部36b及び押え部36aを形成するものであり、これによりバンド本体33の締め付け時に端末部38が第2工具爪36の押え部36aに押え付けられて外側重なり部33の浮き上がりを防止するようになっている。これにより、バンド本体33の締め付け時に外側重なり部4を内側方向に押さえる操作が不要となるため、縮径方向への締め付け操作だけで締め付けを行うことができ、締め付けを1アクションで行うことができ、作業性が向上する。

Claims (7)

  1.  外側重なり部及び内側重なり部が相互に重なり合ったリング状態となって被締付部材の外周に巻き付けられるバンド本体と、
     前記外側重なり部の先端側に形成された第1工具爪と、
     この第1工具爪よりも先端における外側重なり部に形成された平坦状の端末部と、
     この端末部が挿入可能な開口部及びこの開口部に挿入された端末部を外側から押さえる押え部を有して前記内側重なり部に形成され、前記第1工具爪と共にバンド本体を縮径させて締め付ける第2工具爪と、
     前記外側重なり部の長さ方向に沿って形成された複数の係合孔と、
     前記外側重なり部の先端側を向いて傾斜状に立ち上がった状態で前記内側重なり部に形成された係合爪とを備え、
     前記係合爪が外側重なり部の長さ方向の先端側に位置している先端側係合孔に入り込んだ状態に対し、縮径方向の締め付け力をバンド本体に作用させることにより先端側係合孔が係合爪を乗り越え、先端側係合孔に続く後続係合孔が係合爪と係合するブーツバンドであって、
     前記先端側係合孔の後端部に、前記係合爪に対向したガイド手段が設けられていることを特徴とするブーツバンド。
  2.  前記ガイド手段は、前記先端側係合孔の後端部における内側重なり部側に設けられるR部であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のブーツバンド。
  3.  前記ガイド手段は、前記係合爪に沿った傾斜部を有していることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のブーツバンド。
  4.  前記ガイド手段は、前記先端側係合孔の後端部から係合爪の立上がり方向に沿って傾斜状に立ち上がるガイド爪であり、前記傾斜部は前記ガイド爪における係合爪との対向面に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のブーツバンド。
  5.  前記ガイド手段は、前記先端側係合孔における前記係合爪と対向する後端部の内面であり、前記傾斜部は前記後端部の内面に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のブーツバンド。
  6.  前記縮径方向の締め付け力によって前記ガイド手段が前記係合爪の背面を乗り越え可能となっており、前記係合爪の背面の傾斜角度が乗り越え初期角度β及びこれに続く乗り越え終期角度αの2段に形成されると共に、α<βの関係となっていることを特徴とする請求項1~5のいずれか1項記載のブーツバンド。
  7.  前記縮径方向の締め付け力によって前記ガイド手段が前記係合爪の背面を乗り越え可能となっており、前記係合爪の背面の傾斜角度が乗り越え初期角度β及びこれに続く乗り越え終期角度αの2段に形成されると共に、前記ガイド手段の傾斜部の角度γに対し、α<β<γの関係となっていることを特徴とする請求項1~5のいずれか1項記載のブーツバンド。
