Definitions
- the invention relates to a buckle assembly with a buckle housing and provided with a buckle housing lighting device for identifying the insertion of the tongue.
- Belt buckles with lighting devices that serve to identify the insertion of the tongue of the belt are generally known in the art. These lighting devices allow for faster and easier finding of the buckle in the dark and a quick recognition of the insertion opening for the tongue and thus easy operation of the buckle.
- the lighting devices are intended to ensure a reliable lighting of the insertion, for which a long life of the lighting is a prerequisite since the buckle housings are usually materially closed by a welding process, so that a subsequent opening and replacement of the bulb is not possible or only with great effort ,
- the space is limited within a buckle housing, so that a very compact design of the lighting device is desired.
- the insertion should also be illuminated as large as possible to prevent accidental covering. Previous buckle assembly meet these requirements insufficient.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a buckle assembly that allows the best possible, permanent illumination of the insertion opening with minimal space requirements.
- the lighting device comprises a lighting means, in particular an LED in a belt buckle assembly with a buckle housing and provided with a buckle housing lighting device for identifying the insertion of the tongue, and a wedge-shaped tapered to the buckle on Gurtschgephaseuse positioned in the region of the insertion Light guide, which receives and distributes the outgoing light from the bulb.
- the lighting means is preferably designed so small that a conventional buckle housing can be used.
- a common support member for the lamp and the light guide is preferably provided, which is fastened to the buckle housing. Illuminants and light guides can be preassembled on this, so that when mounting the buckle only one component, namely the support member, must be secured to the buckle housing.
- This also has the advantage that the exact positioning of the light guide to the light source, which is required in order to achieve a good illumination of the insertion opening, can be done in advance of mounting on the support member.
- the carrier part can also be delivered pre-assembled with the light source and the light guide.
- the support member may have an electrical resistance to adapt the voltage of the electrical system to the voltage required by the bulb.
- the carrier part has, for example, a plastic casing and a conductor formed in particular from a stamped grid, which is separated from the plastics material. sheathing is overmoulded. The conductor is protected by the plastic sheath and held securely, so that damage to the conductor due to shock or vibration can be safely excluded. On this plastic sheath receptacles or fasteners for the light source and the light guide may be provided to which these components can be easily plugged so that the assembly of the buckle assembly is facilitated by the plastic sheath. If the conductor is formed from a stamped grid, this also has the advantage that the exact shape or the course of the conductor is predetermined and this in an injection mold, in which the conductor is molded with plastic, can not move during the injection process.
- the support member In order to contact the illuminant with the power network of the vehicle, the support member preferably has cables that can be routed in the buckle housing.
- the cables may be electrically connected to the conductor or be part of the conductor.
- the light source and possibly the resistor can also be connected via a circuit board with the cable.
- channels are formed, in which the cables are laid.
- the channels are for example designed so that the cable does not slip during assembly of the buckle and thus does not jam between the buckle and buckle housing.
- the cables can be held with strain relief on the buckle housing, so that at a high tensile stress rupture of the cable is prevented.
- the light guide may, for example, be molded onto the buckle housing so that it is integrally connected to the buckle housing.
- the light guide forms with the buckle housing preferably a flush, flat surface, so that no disturbing gaps or edges arise on the outside, so that the buckle housing offers a high-quality appearance.
- FIG. 1 shows a buckle assembly according to the invention
- FIG. 2 is an exploded view of a buckle housing half of the buckle housing of FIG. 1 with a lighting device
- FIG. 3 shows a detailed view of the buckle housing half of FIG. 2 with mounted illumination device
- FIG. 4 shows a sectional view through the light guide of the illumination device from FIG. 3.
- FIG. 1 shows a buckle assembly 8 with a buckle housing 10, which has an upper Gurtschgephaseusehclient 12 and a lower Gurtschgephaseusehnet 14.
- the buckle housing 10 substantially corresponds to a conventional buckle housing, the buckle housing halves 12, 14 are integrally connected to each other along a joint seam 16, for example by ultrasonic welding.
- the buckle housing 10 is fastened on the vehicle side via a fitting.
- an insertion opening 22 is shown for a tongue not shown here and a control button 24 to release the tongue.
- a lighting device 26 is further provided, the structure of which will be explained below.
- the illumination device 26 consists essentially of a light source 28, here an LED, a support part 30 for the light source 28, a light guide 32 and two cables 34 for contacting the illumination device 26 with a circuit.
- the carrier part 30 is a plastic injection-molded part, which completely envelopes a conductor which electrically connects the cables 34 to the light-emitting means 28 and thus protects it.
- the conductor is formed for example from a stamped grid, which is encapsulated by a plastic sheath.
- the support member 30 has a receptacle 36 for the light source 28 and the rear connection options 38 for the cable 34. As will be shown below, this support member 30 forms a holding device for the lamp 28 to secure it in the Gurtschgepithdone 14.
- the light guide 32 is formed from an at least partially translucent plastic and running, as can be seen in Figure 2, wedge-shaped Bulb 28 towards.
- the lamp 40 facing the end 40 in this case has a shape that allows a direct connection of the light guide 32 to the lamp 28.
- a recess 46 is provided, in which the light guide 32 can be used, and a receiving pocket 48 for the lamp 28 and the support member 30, which has a connection to the recess 46.
- the carrier part 30 and the lighting means 28 are inserted into the receptacle 48, and the cables 34 are laid in provided on the Gurtschgephasehget 14 channels 42.
- strain reliefs 44 are provided on these channels, which are formed here by H reacttemmung. These prevent too great a pull on the cables inside the buckle housing half 14, which could lead to a loss of contact of a cable 34 with the support part 30.
- the light emanating from the light source 28 is scattered by the light guide 32, so that the entire front side 50 of the light guide 32 is illuminated (FIG. 4).
- a wedge-shaped lighted field at the insertion opening 22 of the buckle housing 10 is formed by the light guide 32, which effectively dictates the direction in which a tongue in the insertion opening 22 by its arrow shape should. Since the LED provides a very robust bulb 28, reliable operation of the illumination device 26 is ensured.
- a flat and uniform illumination of the light guide 32 is achieved. Notwithstanding the embodiment shown here, it is also conceivable that the light guide 32 is mounted together with the light source 28 on the support member 30 and thus forms a unit that can be delivered completely pre-assembled, so that the assembly work is reduced on site.
