Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de montage de roulements à galets coniques dans des essieux de véhicules ferroviaires et un procédé de montage de roulements à galets coniques à l'aide dudit dispositif afin de réaliser de manière automatique le montage des roulements (1) à galets coniques sur les extrémités (2.1) des essieux (2), au moyen d'une presse qui comprend des mécanismes d'assujettissement (4) situés face à face, chacun de ces mécanismes présentant un ensemble mobile (5) déplaçable axialement et une douille interne (7) qui est poussée de manière indépendante vers une position protubérante par l'extrémité, un mécanisme actionneur de rotation (8) étant situé dans la partie externe pour déplacer un roulement (1) à galets coniques, depuis la douille interne (7) vers l'extrémité (2.1) correspondante de l'essieu (2) de l'invention, au moyen d'une poussée axiale et d'une rotation combinée pendant le déplacement.
