Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of hybrid transmissions for motor vehicles, comprising on the one hand a driving heat engine, and on the other hand an electric machine.
- a hybrid transmission for a motor vehicle provided with a heat engine and an electric drive machine, comprising two concentric primary shafts each carrying at least one pinion on a secondary shaft connected to the wheels of the wheel. vehicle.
- Hybrid transmissions have the main interest to benefit the drive train of a vehicle, two sources of energy, thermal and electrical, whose torque contributions can be combined in a so-called hybrid mode, or be used separately either in a "pure thermal mode” where the electric machine does not provide torque to the power train, or in a “pure electric” mode, where the engine does not provide torque to the power train.
- Other features are also required, such as the ability to start the engine off or running, using the electric machine as a starter, or to use the electric machine as a power generator, to charge the batteries. .
- a hybrid transmission as presented above provides all the required functions on a single gear ratio, that is to say without the possibility to benefit from several speeds forward, as on a conventional transmission.
- No. 5,433,282 discloses a hybrid transmission for a motor vehicle essentially consisting of a simple epicyclic gear train, whose three outlets, planet carrier, sun gear and ring gear, are connected to the engine, to the electric machine and to the vehicle wheels.
- the heat engine, the electric machine and the train are coaxial.
- a freewheel is disposed between the heat engine and the sun gear of the train. It allows in particular to combine the contribution of the electric machine and the electric machine for driving the vehicle, and to have two transmission ratios.
- its ability to adapt to specific driving modes such as a typical urban taxiing and a typical road haul in pure electric mode at moderate speeds, and a typically high-speed motorway haulage, for example in pure thermal mode, are limited.
- the present invention aims to achieve a hybrid transmission having at least two separate reports in electrical mode, two separate reports in thermal mode, and several hybrid reports.
- first coupling means between the two primary shafts which can occupy at least three positions in which:
- the thermal engine is decoupled from the kinematic chain connecting the electric machine to the wheels, or coupled thereto via the second secondary shaft (position 1),
- the primary shaft of the heat engine is coupled to the first secondary shaft for driving the wheels with or without the addition of the electric machine (position 2), and
- the primary shaft of the heat engine is coupled to the primary shaft of the electric machine, so as to add their respective torques in the direction of the wheels (position 3).
- the heat engine is connected to a solid primary shaft, and the electric machine is connected to a hollow primary shaft.
- the electric machine can be used as sole source of motive power on two first electrical ratios by closing the second coupling means, up to a speed threshold, from which one passes on a third thermal report by opening the second coupling means and coupling the heat engine to the wheels by the third coupling means.
- FIG. 2 corresponds to starting and driving in electric mode on an "electric city” ratio, and in reverse,
- FIG. 3 corresponds to driving in electric mode on an "electric road” ratio
- FIG. 4 corresponds to the battery charging mode
- FIG. 5 corresponds to the taxiing in thermal mode on a "motorway thermal" report
- FIG. 6 corresponds to driving in hybrid mode on a first "hybrid highway" report
- FIG. 7 corresponds to running on a "hybrid short city” mode
- FIG. 8 corresponds to rolling on a "hybrid city long 1" ratio
- FIG. 9 corresponds to rolling on a "hybrid city long 2" ratio
- FIG. 10 corresponds to rolling on a "hybrid road” report
- FIG. 11 corresponds to rolling on a "sport hybrid" report
- thermo city long corresponds to rolling on another thermal mode called "thermal city long”.
- the transmission illustrated in the figures comprises a solid primary shaft 1 connected directly via a filtration system (damping hub, "damper”, double flywheel or other) 2, the flywheel 3 of a heat engine (not shown)
- the solid shaft 1 carries an idler gear 4 (second idle gear R2) that can be connected thereto by a first coupling system 5 (Cl) such as a clutch, synchronizer, or other type of progressive coupler or not ).
- a hollow primary shaft 6 is connected to the rotor of an electric machine 7, preferably (but not necessarily) of the disc type axial type machine. Other types of electrical machine can also be used in the context of the invention, for example radial machines, magnet or coil excitation, or reluctance machines.
- the hollow shaft 6 carries two fixed gears 8, 9, first and third.
- the hollow shaft 6 can be connected to the solid primary shaft 1 via the first coupling system 5 (Cl).
- a first secondary shaft 10 carries two idle gears 12 (RI) and 11 (R3), first and third, and a second fixed pinion 14.
- the idle gears 11, 12 can be connected to the primary shaft by the intermediate of a second coupling system 13 C2, such as a clutch, synchronizer, or other type of progressive coupler or not.
- the first secondary shaft 10 also carries a fixed gear 15 descent to a differential 16 connected to the wheels (not shown) of the vehicle.
- the solid primary shaft 1 carries a fixed pinion 17 of fourth, in engagement with a fourth crazy pinion 18 (R4), carried by a second secondary shaft 19.
- the second secondary shaft 19 also carries third coupling means 21 (C3) of the fourth idler gear 18 thereon. The movement of the second secondary shaft 19 is returned by a pinion gear 22 to the differential 16.
- the first coupling means C1 can occupy at least three positions in which:
- the heat engine is decoupled from the kinematic chain connecting the electric machine 7 to the wheels, or coupled thereto via the second secondary shaft (position 1), in FIGS. 1, 2, 3, 5, 11,
- the primary shaft connected to the heat engine is coupled to the first secondary shaft to drive the wheels with or without the addition of the electric machine (position 2), in FIGS. 8, 9, 12, and
- the primary shaft connected to the heat engine is coupled to the primary shaft connected to the electric machine, so as to add their respective torques in the direction of the wheels (position 3) in FIGS. 4, 6, 7, 10.
- the heat engine can drive an alternator (not shown) capable of meeting the energy requirements of the electric machine by charging a high voltage traction battery.
- a first assembly then consists of connecting the traction battery to the vehicle battery by a reversible voltage converter.
- the alternator is a high voltage alternator connectable directly to a power supply battery of the electric machine.
- Cl is open (position 1), while C2 is closed so as to secure the idle gear of the first gear 12 with the first secondary shaft 10.
- the transmission is in electric mode on its first report, said report " electric city ".
- the torque supplied by the electric machine to the hollow primary shaft descends through the first fixed gear RI on the idler gear.
- C2 links the pinion 12 and the shaft 10 in rotation. The pair moves down the line secondary on the differential 16 by the pinion gear 16.
- Cl is always open (position 1), while C2 is closed, so as to secure the third idle gear R3 to the first secondary shaft 10.
- the transmission is in electric mode on the third gear of the transmission , said "electric road”.
- the torque supplied by the electric machine 7 to the hollow primary shaft 6, descends through the third fixed gear 9 on the third idler R3.
- Cl rotates the pinion R3 and the shaft 10.
- the torque goes down the secondary line on the differential 16 by the pinion 15.
- Figures 8 and 9 illustrate two intermediate hybrid modes known as "long city hybrid 1" and "long city hybrid 2", obtained from the "short city hybrid” report of Figure 7. Keeping the first gear engaged on the electric machine , the thermal engine is synchronized on the second gear before coupling it to the first secondary shaft 10 by the first coupling means C1 in position 2. As shown in FIG. 8, the pairs are added together.
- the fourth hybrid mode report can then be moved to Figure 11, allowing the electric machine to maintain the transmission on the third gear during passage. For this, it releases Cl coupling (return to position 1), then closes C3, after synchronizing vacuum engine.
- Figure 12 illustrates a thermal mode on the second report, called "thermal city long", where only Cl is closed so as to lower the torque by R2 on the second report.
- the three positions of the first coupling means 5 and the combined intervention of the second coupling means 13 and the third coupling means ensure transmission at least the following modes:
- thermal mode on the second and the fourth report respectively called "thermal city long and” and “thermal motorway” (see Figures 12 and 5),
- hybrid city 1 two hybrid modes on the second report, called “hybrid city 1" and “hybrid city 2"
- Hybrid road see Figure 10
- Hybrid highway Figure 6
- the "use week” favors the two electrical reports, "electric city” and “electric road” associated with “highway thermal mode” and possibly “hybrid highway” mode.
- the two electrical ratios are then used by closing C2 on the first or third pinion, up to a speed threshold, where we pass on the fourth report in thermal mode, opening C2 and coupling the heat engine to the wheels through at C3.
- On the fourth report we can also have the hybrid report by coupling the heat engine to the wheels by closing C3, while coupling the two primary trees with C2.
- Hybrid use is enriched by the intermediate thermal ratio (second gear), especially for shifting ratios under torque. Only one electric gear (on the first gear) is used, before successively passing over several hybrid ratios, where the first two coupling means C1 and C2 intervene.
- the first Hybrid report used when leaving the electric mode is the "short city hybrid mode" of Figure 7.
- the “hybrid road ratio” of Figure 10 is obtained by coupling the two primary shafts on the third gear with Cl.
- the transition to the hybrid highway mode ( Figure 6) can be effected via the intermediate stage of the "sport hybrid” report of Figure 11.
- the shifts between the hybrid ratios are performed under torque.
- the entire sequence "hybrid use” is performed without breaking torque by maintaining the traction on each passage, either by the engine or by the electric motor. This is the case for the up and down paths between "short city hybrid” and "long city hybrid 1 and 2", “long city hybrid 2", “sport hybrid” and "hybrid highway”.
