Abstract

L'échelle verticale est destinée à s'utiliser dans des espaces restreints. L'échelle comprend une carcasse volumique (2), deux rangées verticales (8, 9) de marches (6, 7) dont chacune est fixée immobile sur la carcasse (2), avec possibilité de pivotement par rapport à l'axe horizontal (19), et un moyen de fixation de pieds en position horizontale à l'intérieur du volume de la carcasse. La carcasse comprend des montants verticaux (3) en quantité de deux ou plus et des barres transversales (4, 5) reliant entre eux les montants verticaux voisins (3). Les marches (6) d'une rangée verticale (8) sont décalées par rapport aux marches (7) d'une autre rangée verticale (9) sur la hauteur de la carcasse. Dans des cas particuliers, les marches (6, 7) sont fixées par charnière (par exemple, au moyen de gonds) sur la carcasse (2) (par exemple, sur les barres horizontales (4)). Dans des cas particuliers, la carcasse de l'échelle se présente comme un prisme rectangulaire avec dispositif de deux rangées verticales (8, 9) des marches de l'échelle les unes en face des autres ou sous la forme d'un prisme triangulaire. Dans des cas particuliers, le moyen de fixation de la marche en position horizontale peut se présenter comme une barre transversale (4) disposée horizontalement ou sous la forme d'une suspension souple (15). L'utilisation de suspensions souples (15) en tant que moyens de fixation des marches inférieures de l'échelle permet de créer dans la partie inférieure de la carcasse (2) de l'échelle un passage entre le tronc de l'échelle (c'est-à-dire le volume interne de la carcasse (2)) et l'espace environnant, qui est libre de barres (4, 5), la partie inférieure de la carcasse (2) pouvant être munie de consoles (16) facilitant la fixation des marches inférieures sur la carcasse. Pour se déplacer vers le haut de l'échelle une personne (1) met les marches disposées plus haut tour à tour en position horizontale en faisant à chaque fois un pas vers le haut, et pour descendre elle les met en position verticale. Le résultat est la possibilité d'améliorer le confort et la sécurité d'utilisation de l'échelle verticale. - -
