Abstract

L'invention concerne une poudre (20) de projection thermique à utiliser dans une technique de projection thermique, telle que projection à la flamme, projection au plasma, projection dynamique par gaz froid et projection à grande vitesse par gaz oxygéné (HVOF). La poudre (20) de projection thermique est constituée par atomisation à l'eau ou au gaz et comprend 3,0 à 7,0 % en poids de carbone, 10,0 à 25,0 % en poids de chrome, 1,0 à 5,0 % en poids de tungstène, 3,5 à 7,0 % en poids de vanadium, 1,0 à 5,0 % en poids de molybdène, pas plus de 0,5 % en poids d'oxygène et au moins 40,0 % en poids de fer par rapport au poids total de la poudre (20) de projection thermique. La poudre (20) de projection thermique peut être appliquée à un corps métallique, par exemple un piston ou un segment de piston, pour constituer un revêtement. La poudre (20) de projection thermique peut également produire une pièce formée par projection.
