Abstract

Es wird eine cellulosische Faser beschichtet mit einem Beschichtungsmittel enthaltend eine Mischung umfassend Harnstoff, nicht-ionische Tenside und Antioxidantien, vorgeschlagen. Die beschichtete cellulosische Faser zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass ihre Zugfestigkeit nach einem definierten thermischen Alterungsprogramm bis zu viermal höher liegt als die Zugfestigkeit der entsprechenden unbeschichteten cellulosischen Faser. Der durchschnittliche Polymerisationsgrad des beschichteten cellulosischen Fasermaterials liegt nach derselben Alterungsprozedur bis zu sechsmal höher als der verbliebene Polymerisationsgrad einer unbeschichteten cellulosischen Faser. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung Methoden der thermischen Alterung zur Identifikation wirksamer Stabilisatoren sowie zur Charakterisierung beschichteter cellulosischen Fasern und Filamenten mit verbesserter Thermostabilität.
