Abstract

The invention relates to a share method for the sale of saleable items which includes the holding of Internet auctions. The method consists in that: sellers run client programs on terminals and send requests for connection to a server, said sellers are authorized and complete electronic requests to place goods on a virtual market, the price of an item is divided into shares of equal value and each share is marked with a unique code, buyers are authorized on the server via their own terminals, said buyers complete electronic requests for the purchase of goods and send these requests from their terminals to the server for inclusion in a database, a search of the database is carried out for an auction most closely corresponding to the buyers' requests, a list of identified auctions is sent to the buyer terminals, buyers select a relevant auction and purchase a minimum of one share for the auction selected, the shares are paid for by electronic payments, a message is sent to the buyer terminals regarding the payment made, a temporary account is created for money from the sale of shares in a lot, a draw is held for the lot once all the shares have been sold, a single winning share is selected by means of a program, a search is carried out for a record of the owner of the share in question on the basis of account records, information about the auction held is displayed, a message is received by the buyer terminals regarding the auction held, and a money transfer is made from the temporary account to the seller's account.
