Abstract

Ein Aktuator, insbesondere für ein Fahrzeugschutzsystem, hat wenigstens einen temperaturbedingt formveränderlichen Draht (14) aus einer Formgedächtnislegierung und ein langgestrecktes pyrotechnisches Element (12), das so mit dem formveränderlichen Draht (14) verbunden ist, dass der Draht (14) bei einer Zündung des pyrotechnischen Elements (12) erhitzt wird und eine Längenänderung erfährt. Das Fahrzeugschutzsystem ist beispielsweise ein Gassacksystem mit einem Gassack und einem Regulierungsmechanismus für den Gassackinnendruck, wobei der Draht (14) des Aktuators (10) so mit dem Regulierungsmechanismus verbunden ist, dass eine Formänderung des Drahtes (14) eine Kraft auf den Regulierungsmechanismus ausübt.
