Abstract
L'invention porte sur un système de turbine éolienne à axe vertical à lévitation magnétique à haute altitude (VAWT) dont les fonctions ont été améliorées pour permettre de l'utiliser efficacement à de hautes altitudes et sans être limité par les emplacements géographiques présentant des régimes de vent faibles. Le système VAWT selon l'invention peut être monté avec un temps de réalisation de construction minime et sans exiger des années de mesure et/ou d'analyse prolongée des vents. Un véhicule à ascension par l'hélium a été conçu pour placer en permanence le système VAWT aux altitudes optimales où règne sa vitesse de vent nominale, en garantissant ainsi un fonctionnement au rendement maximal en tout temps. Le véhicule à ascension par l'hélium est équipé d'un gouvernail, d'élévateurs et de deux moteurs d'avion pour les éventuels déplacements en montée/descente et la manœuvrabilité. Le véhicule à ascension par l'hélium est commandé et guidé par une station météorologique qui surveille de façon continue les différents indicateurs météorologiques. Le système VAWT à lévitation magnétique comprend une petite VAWT qui est utilisée pour exciter les champs de bobines du générateur électrique de la VAWT principale de façon à réduire la perte d'énergie qui survient habituellement dans les générateurs synchrones. La dimension choisie pour le véhicule sphérique à ascension par l'hélium permettra d'obtenir une capacité installée du système VAWT allant jusqu'à 500 kW.
