Abstract

La présente invention concerne, selon divers modes de réalisation, des procédés, des systèmes et des dispositifs permettant d'implanter, chez un patient, un implant incurvé et/ou vrillé dans l'espace. Selon certains modes de réalisation, un tel procédé consiste à utiliser un implant monofilament conçu pour se présenter sous une forme essentiellement linéaire ou quasi-linéaire à l'état non déployé et sous une forme incurvée et/ou vrillée dans l'espace à l'état déployé, ledit implant comportant une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale. A l'état non déployé, l'implant se présente sous une forme qui correspond à celle de la lumière d'une aiguille creuse pouvant être utilisée pour la mise en place de l'implant. Le procédé peut également comporter une étape consistant à créer une perforation dans un vaisseau sanguin du patient pour positionner ladite extrémité distale de l'aiguille (et, donc, l'implant) dans le vaisseau sanguin à travers ladite perforation. Le procédé peut, en outre, comprendre une étape consistant à faire passer l'implant de l'état non déployé à l'état déployé de façon à ce que l'extrémité proximale de l'implant se retrouve à proximité de ladite perforation. 25275531v.
