Abstract

산화그래핀, 그래핀-고분자 복합체, 그래핀-고분자 복합체 함유 코팅액, 그래핀-고분자 복합체가 코팅된 강판 및 이들의 제조방법이 제공된다. 본 발명에 따르면, 별도의 바인더 없이 소지강판에 그래핀을 바로 코팅할 수 있으며, 그래핀을 코팅층의 상부에 위치시킴으로써 그래핀의 특성을 효율적으로 발현할 수 있는 강판을 제공할 수 있다.

본 발명은 산화그래핀, 그래핀-고분자 복합체, 그래핀 -고분자 복합체 함유 코팅액, 그래핀 _고분자 복합체가 코팅된 강판 및 이들의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
【배경기술】
그래핀은 탄소 원자층이 육각형의 격자점 평면에 꽉 들어찬 2차원 탄소 원자면 구조를 가지고 있다. 그래핀은 인장강도가 강철보다 311배 더 강하고, 전자 이동 도는 실리콘보다 1,000배 더 빠르며, 열전도도는 구리보다 10배 이상 우수하고, 빛의 98%를 통과시킬 정도로 투명하며, 휘거나 늘려도 특성이 유지되는 성질을 가지고 있디-. 이러한, 특성으로 인하여 나노소재, 잉크, 배리어 소재, 방열소재, 초경량 소재, 에너지 전극 소재, 차세대 반도체, 투명전극 등에 널리 활용되어질 수 있다. 그래핀을 강판에 코팅하게 되면 강판의 표면에 내식성, 방열성, 전도성, 밀착성, 강도, 가공성 등을 확보하여 다양한 분야로 강판을 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대 된다. 그래핀을 손쉽게 대면적으로 기재에 코팅하기 위해서 용액공정이 널리 이용되고 있다. 특허문헌 1 및 특허문헌 2에서 개시하는 바와 같이, 용액공정의 경우 기재 와의 밀착력 확보를 위하여 별도의 바인더가 필수적이다. 상기와 같이 바인더를 사용할 경우에는 통상은 그래핀 분산제, 바인더 등을 단 순 흔합하여 사용하는 경 ~ "가 일반적이다. 그런데, 이러한 종래의 방법을 이용할 경우에는 단순히 바인더와 그래핀을 흔합 하는 경우에 지나지 않으므로 그래핀의 분산 안정성에 문제가 있을 수 있다. 따 라서, 별도로 그래핀이 잘 분산 면서 충분한 결합력을 가지는 바인더를 선정하 여야 한다는 문제가 있다. 또한, 층분한 분산효과를 얻기 위해서는 코팅 조성물 의 물성에는 악영향을 끼치지 않는 분산제를 적절히 선택하여야 한다는 문제도 있을 수 있다. 또한, 그래핀이 바인더에 '잘 분산되도톡 하기 위하여 그래핀에 작 용기를 붙여 산화그래핀을 만드는경우도 있으나, 이는 분산 용액을 만들고 코팅 한 이후에 다시 고온에서의 환원 공정을 거쳐야 하는 단점이 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 그래핀과 바인더를 단순 흔합할 경우에는 바인더와 그래핀이 특별 한 방향성 없이 배치되기 때문에 강판 표면에 코팅하고 난 이후에도 그래핀 층보 다는 바인더 층이 외곽에 위치함으로써 표면에서 그래핀을 특성을 층분히 발휘하 지 돗하는 문제점 등이 있을 수 있다.

본 발명의 일 측면은 별도의 바인더 수지 없이도 기재와 밀착력을 확보할 수 있고, 코팅층의 상부에서 그래핀이 효율적으로 특성을 발현할 수 있는 그래핀- 고분자 복합체가 코팅된 강판 및 그의 제조방법을 제시하고자 한다. 그러나, 본 발명이 해결하고자 하는 과제는 이상에서 언급한 과제로 제한되지 않으며, 언급되지 않은 또 다른 과제들은 아래의 기재로부터 당업자에게 명확하게 이해될 수 있을 것이다.
【기술적 해결방법]
상기와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위하여 , 본 발명의 일 측면은, 입자직경이 1~40μιη, 입자 두께는 30nm이하 (Onm 제외), 표면적은 40~1500m2/g인 그래핀의 가장자리에 그래핀 중량대비 0~5¾(0% 제외)의 작용기가 치환되어 있는 산화그래핀을 제공한다. (

【발명의 실시를 위한 형태】
이하, 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자가 용이하게 실시할 수 있도록 본 발명의 산화그래핀, 그래핀-고분자 복합체, 그래핀-고분자 복합체 함유 코팅액, 그래핀-고분자 복합체가 코팅된 강판 및 그의 제조방법에 대하여 구체적으로 설명하도록 한다.
본 발명의 발명자들은 바인더 선정의 제약이 없을 뿐만 아니라, 그래핀을 강판 표면에 코팅할 때 그래핀이 외곽 (즉, 강판의 상부)에 위치하도록 함으로써 그래핀이 가지는 고유특성을 보다 효과적으로 이용하기 위해서는 그래핀과 바인더를 단순히 흔합하는 것이 아니라, 그래핀을 고분자와 함께 복합체화시키는 것이 바람직하다는 것을 발견하고 본 발명에 이르게 되었다. 즉, 본 발명의 일 측면은, 소지강판; 및 상기 소지강판 상에 형성된 그래핀- 고분자 복합체의 도막을 포함하며, 상기 그래핀은 입자직경이 1~40μη, 입자 두께는 30nm이하 (Onm 제외), 표면적은 4( 1500m2/g인, 그래핀-고분자 복합체가 코팅된 강판을 제공한다. 본 발명의 코팅 강판은 그래핀-고분자 복합체가 강판 위에 도막을 형성한 것으로서, 그래핀이 도막의 상부에 위치함으로써 그래핀의 특성인 방열성, 전기전도도를 확보할 수 있으며, 고분자로 인하여 소지강판과의 밀착성, 가교 및 경화효율 증대 , 가공성을 함께 확보할 수 있도록 한다 . 산화그래핀의 작용기를 이용하여 고분자를 그래프팅시켜 그래핀-고분자 복합체를 생성한다.
본 발명에서 그래핀-고분자 복합체라 함은 다음에서 보다 상세하게 설명하듯이 그래핀에 작용기를 부여한 후 작용기와 고분자를 결합시켜 얻은 것으로서 상기 고분자는 강판에 부착되기 유리한 바인더의 역할을 한다. 이와 같은 형태의 복합체를 이용할 경우 결합력을 가지는 고분자가 우선적으로 강판쪽으로 배열되어 결합하기 때문에 그래핀 부분은 자연적으로 강판의 상부 (외곽)로 배치될 가능성이 높아지는 것이다. 이때, 그래핀에 붙어있는 작용기에 고분자가 직접 결합될 수도 있고, 단량체가 고분자로 성장하면서 그래핀의 에지에 붙어있는 작용기에 결합될 수도 있다. 사용 가능한 소지강판으로서, 넁연강판; 아연도금강판; 아연계 전기도금강판; 용융아연도금강판; 알루마늄도금강판; 도금층에 코발트, 몰리브덴, 텅스텐, 니켈, 티탄, 알루미늄, 망간, 철 마그네슘, 주석, 동 또는 이들의 흔합물인 불순물 또는 이종금속을 함유한 도금강판; 실리콘, 동 마그네슘, 철, 망간, 티탄, 아연 또는 이들의 흔합물을 첨가한 알루미늄 합금판; 인산염이 도포된 아연도금강판; 냉연강판; 또는 열연강판 등을 사용할 수 있으나, 이에 특별히 제한하는 것은 아니다. 상기 도막의 두께는 l~20/mi인 것이 소재와의 밀착력 확보 및 가공성 확보 측면에서 바람직하다. 도 1을 참조하면서, 본 발명의 그래핀-고분자 복합체가 코팅된 강판을 제조하는 방법을 살펴보기로 한다. 먼저, 그래핀-고분자 복합체 함유 코팅액을 준비한다. 그래핀-고분자 복합 및 이를 함유하는 코팅액은 다음 과정을 통하여 준비될 수 있다. 우선, 작용기가 부착된 산화그래핀을 준비한다.
기존의 산화그래핀 제조방법은 산처리 방법을 적용하여 밑면 (basal plane)과 에지 (edge) 전체에 작용기를 생성하는 방법을 주로 사용하였다. 구체적으로 그래핀에 ¾S04, K2S208, P05, NaN03, KMn04와 같은 산을 복합적으로 처리하여 그래핀을 산화시켜왔다.
그러나, 이러한 방법을 사용하게 되면 에지에 부착되는 작용기의 수를 제어할 수 없고, 추후 공정에서' 작용기를 통해 그래프팅되는 고분자 사슬의 수가 너무 많아지게 되어 그래핀을 포함하는 코팅강판에 구조적 결함이 발생할 우려가 있다. 이에, 본 발명에서는 혹연에서 그래핀을 박리하는 공정에서 작용기를 도입하는 방법을 채용하기로 한다. 혹연의 에지면을 선택적으로 관능화시켜 박리성이 탁월하고 분산성이 개선되며, 구조적 결함을 억제하여 우수한 그래핀 물성을 발현코자 한다. 본 발명와 산화그래핀 제조방법을 구체적으로 살펴보기로 한다.
혹연과 박리보조제를 흔합하여 박리된 흑연을 제조한다. 이때, 상기 박리보조제는 알카리 금속류, 산 (acid)류, 및 극성용매류 중 1종 또는 2종 이상의 흔합물을 사용할 수 있다. 상기 알카리 금속류에는 Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, Fr 등의 이온 또는 이들이 포함된 화합물을 의미할 수 있다. 상기 산 (acid)류에는 황산, 염산, 질산, 과망간산칼륨 등이 사용될 수 있다. 상기 극성용매류에는 물, 알코올, 카르복시산, 아세톤ᅳ THF(tetrahydrofuran), DMF(cli methyl formamide) , DMS0(dimethyl sylfoxide), HMPAChexamethyl phosphor amide), NMP(n-Methyl Pyrrol i done) , 아세토니트릴 등이 포함될 수 있다. 상기 박리된 혹연을 열처리하고 나서, 상기 박리된 혹연에 작용기를 도입한다. 이어서, 마이크로웨이브 또는 초음파를 처리하여 재차 박리하는 과정을 거친다. 그래핀 또는 박리된 흑연은 가장자리의 탄소원자가 공유결합을 통해 카르복시기 (-C00H), 카르보닐기 (-C0-)와 같은 작용기가 부여될 수 있다. 작용기를 도입한 후 마이크로웨이브를 조사하거나 초음파처리하여 2 차 박리과정을 거치는데, 2 단계의 박리를 통해 보다 얇은 그래핀을 제조할 수 있으며, 특히 에지 부분에 작용기가 부착된 산화그래핀을 얻을 수 있다. 상기 산화그래핀에는 하이드록시기 (-010, 카르복시기 (-C00H), 카르보닐기 (ᅳ CO -), 아미노기 (ᅳ腿2), 하이드로퍼옥시기 (-OOH), 퍼옥시기 (-00-), 티을기 (-SH), 이소시아네이트기 (-NC0) 등의 작용기가 부착될 수 있다.
고분자 사슬을 그래프팅하기에 적절한 산화그래핀은 입자직경이 1~40μπι, 입자 두께는 30nm이하 (Onm 제외), 표면적은 40~1500m2/g인 그래핀의 가장자리에 그래핀 중량대비 0~5%(0¾ 제외)의 작용기가 치환되어 있는 것이 바람직하다. 이러한 조건을 만족하는 산화그래핀은 비표면적 증가에 따라 박리도가 증가하여 그래핀의 에지에 부착되는 작용기의 수를 최소로 제어할 수 있기 때문이다.
또한, 그래핀 에지에 부착되는 작용기의 함량은 그래핀 중량 대비' »이하인 것이 바람직하다. 5%를 초과하면 그래프팅되는 고분자 사슬의 수가 너무 많아지고 고분자가 그래프팅되지 않은 부분에서 구조적 결함이 발생할 수 있기 때문이다. 이어서, 상기 산화그래핀에 고분자를 그래프팅시켜 그래핀-고분자 복합체를 형성 한다.
산화그래핀에 부착된 작용기를 이용하여 고분자를 그래프팅하기 위해서는 산화그 래핀, 모노머, 용매를 흔합하고 250~300°C에서 반응시켜 그래프팅한다. 추가적으 로 반웅을 촉진하기 위하여 촉매를 사용할 수도 있다. 이때 모노머는 산화그래핀 대비 0.1~1 중량 %를 사용할 수 있으며, 모노머와 용매는 그래프팅하고자 하는 고 분자의 종류에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 사용가능한 용매로는 구체적으로 아세톤, 메탄올, 에탄을, 1-프로판올, 에틸렌 글리콜, DMSO, DMF, NMP, THF 등이 있다.
상기 그래핀-고분자 복합체는 입자직경이 1~40μη, 입자 두께는 30nm이하 (Orim 제 외), 표면적은 40~1500m2/g인 그래핀의 가장자리에 고분자가 그래프팅되어 있는 형태로서, 싱-기 그래핀은 상기 고분자의 중량 대비 0.1~1%인 것이 바람직하다.
0.1% 미만이면, 고분자 사슬의 함량이 너무 많아 코팅층 상부에 그래핀을 띄우기 어렵고 고분자 사슬 전체에 그래핀이 분포하여 바인더를 흔합한 것과 유사한 상 태가 되며, 1¾ 초과이면 고분자 사슬의 함량이 너무 작아 그래핀이 강판과 접착 력을 가질 수 없다. 이때, 촉매, 개시제 등을 첨가하여 질소 분위기 하에서 열처리하여 반응을 진행할 수 있다.
상기 고분자는 폴리에스테르계 수지, 불소계 수지, 염화비닐 수지, 에폭시계 수 지 및 아크릴계 수지로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 하나 이상일 수 있으나, 이 에 제한되는 것은 아니다. 상기 고분자는 상기 산화그래핀에 부착된 작용기와 결합함으로써 그래프팅된다. 고분자가 그래프팅된 산화그래핀의 일례가 도 2에 도시되어 있다. 여기서는 폴리에스테르계 고분자가그래프팅된 것으로 보이며 폴리에스테르 사슬과 말단에 -0H 작용기를 가지고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 이와 같은 고분자 사슬은 바인더 역할을 하므로 소지강판과 결합하여 밀착력을 확보할 수 있다. 소지강판과의 밀착력을 가질 수 있는 것은 말단에 -C00H, 혹은 -0H 작용기를 가지기 때문인데, 이러한 고분자의 예로는 폴리에스테르, 수분산성 우레탄, 에폭시, 에폭시ᅳ포스페이트, 아크릴계 또는 비닐계 단량체로 변성된 에폭시-포스페이트, 비닐계 및 아크릴계 또는 비닐계 단량체로 변성된 아크릴- 우레탄 등이 있다. 따라서, 별도의 바인더가 필요하지 않지만, 경화방법에 따라서 다른 바인더를 첨가할 수도 있다.
바인딩 기능 이외에도 고분자 사슬 도입으로 특정한 물성을 확보할 수 있는데, 폴리우레탄 및 폴리에스테르의 경우는 가공성을, 에폭시의 경우는 경도를, 폴리비닐리덴플루오라이드는 기계적 /전기적 특성 및 전도성을 향상시키는 기능을 한다. 코팅 강판의 물성에 영향을 미치는 인자로서 고분자의 종류뿐만 아니라, 분자량, 유리전이온도, 고분자 사슬의 중합도, 고분자 사슬의 구조, 고분자 사슬의 함량 등을 들 수 있다. 가령, 우수한 연신성 및 가공성을 나타내도록 고분자량의 폴리에스테르 수지를 사용할 수 있다. 폴리에스테르 수지는 지방족으로 이루어진 분자구조를 가지므로 저점도 및 고연신성을 나타낸다. 상기 폴리에스테르 수지로는 수평균 분자량이
5,000 내지 20,000, 바람직하게는 5,500 내지 15,000, 보다 바람직하게는 6,000 내지 12 ,000인 것이 좋다. 수평균 분자량이 5,000 미만이면 가공성이 저하되는 문제가 있으며, 수평균 분자량이 20, 000을 초과하면 내약품성 및 광택저하의 문제가 있다. 또한, 에폭시의 수지로는 수평균 분자량이 900 내지 7,000인 것이 바람직하다. 수평균 분자량이 900미만이면 강판에 코팅시 경화속도가 느리고 내수성이 불량해 지는 문제가 있고, 7,000 초과하면 변성 반응에 의한 수용화가 어려워 내식성이 열위되는 문제가 있다. 다만, 통상적으로 수지는 수평균 분자량이 클수톡 분자들의 유연성이 증가하여 심가공시 수지 연신아쉬우므로 내도막크랙성 측면에서 유리하다. 유리전이온도의 경우는 5°C 이상이어야 그래핀이 코팅되었을 때 우수한 경도확 보가 가능하고, 30 °C이하여야 가공성 저하를 방지할 수 있으므로, 5~3( C 인 것 이 적당하다. 고분자 사슬의 중합도의 경우, 너무 낮으면 미반응 모노머가 잔류하여 고분자 사슬이 충분히 그래프팅될 수 없고, 고분자 사슬의 길이가 너무 짧아 그래핀을 층분히 코팅층 상부로 띄울 수 없어서 강판과의 밀착력아저하된다. 또한, 너무 높으면, 고분자 사슬의 길이가 너무 길어 강판과 그래핀층 사이의 간격이 넓어 져 전도성 및 방열성 등의 전기적 /열적 특성이 열위하고, 고분자사술이 그래핀 층 위에 일부 존재하여 코팅층 상부에 그래핀만 존재할 수 없어 효율적으로 그 래핀 특성을 발휘할 수 없다.
따라서, 폴리에스테르 수지의 수산가는 5 ~ 20 mg OH/g, 폴리우레탄의 NC0/0H 당량비는 1 ~ 3, 에폭시의 당량은 450 - 3 ,500로 제어하는 것이 바람직하다. 고분자 사슬의 구조는 선형 (linear) 구조가 가지형 (branch) 구조보다 가공성이 우수하다. 따라서 그래핀산화물에 부착되어 있는 다양한 작용기를 이용하여 원하는 물성의 고분자 사슬을 결합시킴으로써 구조적으로 안정한 그래핀-고분자 복합체 형성할 수 있다. 고분자 사슬은 소지강판과의 바인딩 성질이 있어서 아래쪽으로 위치하게 되어 소지강판과의 밀착성뿐만 아니라 고분자의 특성인 유연성을 최대한 발휘하게 되고, 그래핀은 반대로 코팅층 상부로 유도되어 강판의 표면에서 그래핀 특성을 최대한 발휘하게 한다. 이러한 고분자 사슬은 유기 용제에 쉽게 분산되므로 분산안정성이 또한 우수하다. 또한, 고분자 사슬 말단의 작용기는 가교반응 및 경화반웅에 참여하여 밀착력 확보는 물론 경화효율을 증대시키기도 한다. 이렇게 준비된 그래핀-고분자 복합체에 고분자 수지, 경화제, 촉매, 용매를 흔합하여 코팅액을 제조한다. 경화제로는 기존 멜라민계 경화제를 사용하여도 무방하나, 대신 우레탄계 경화제 를 사용함으로써 밀착력을 향상시킬 수 있다. 상기 우레탄계 경화제로는 MEK0- HDI( (methyl ethyl keto ime blocked hexamethylene di isocyanate) 트라이머 (tr imer) , MEKO-IPDI (methyl ethyl keoxime blocked isophorone di isocyanate) H 라이머 , DMP-HD 1(3, 5-D i me t hy 1 Pyrazole blocked hexameth lene di isocyanate) 트라이머, DMP-IPDI (3,5-Dimethyl Pyrazole blocked isophorone di isocyanate) 트라이머로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 하나 이상이 바람직하나, 이에 한정되지 않 으며 , 구체적으로 Bayer사의 Desmodur BL3175, Desmodur BL4265, Desmodur PL350 및 Bexenden사의 Trixene B 17984, Trixene B 17982, Trixene BI7951 등이 사용될 수 있다. 상기 그래핀-고분자 복합체 함유 코팅액을 소지강판에 도포하여 건조하면, 그래핀-고분자 복합체의 도막이 형성된 강판을 얻을 수 있다. 건조 방식으로는 열풍가열 방식, 유도가열 방식 등을 사용할 수 있다. 열풍가열 방식인 경우 80~340°C에서 3~50초 동안 건조하고, 유도가열 방식인 경우, 주파수 범위 5~50MHz, 전력 3-15KW으로 2~30초 동안 건조한다. 이때, 바람직한 건조 온도는 PMT(Peak metal temperature): 100~300°C이다. 상기 그래핀-고분자 복합체의 도막은 도막 전체 중량 대비 0-5중량 ¾(0중량 ¾ 제외)의 그래핀을 포함하며, 상기 그래핀-고분자 복합체의 도막에 함유된 그래핀의 90중량 %이상이 도막의 두께방향으로 상부 50% 이내에 위치하는 것이 바람직하다. 이를 통해 강판의 표면층에서 그래핀의 특성을 발휘할 수 있게 된다. 이하, 실시예를 통하여 본 발명에 대하여 보다 상세히 설명한다. 다만, 하기 실 시예는 본 발명의 이해를 돕기 위한 것이며 이로써 본 발명을 한정하는 것은 아 니다.
[실시예]
1. 산화그래핀의 준비
혹연과 황산을 흔합한 후 교반하였다. 얻어진 박리된 흑연을 열처리한 후 작용기를 도입하였다. 마이크로웨이브를 조사하여 그래핀의 에지에 작용기가 부착된 산화그래핀을 얻었다. 도 7을 통해 확인할 수 있는 바와 같이 그래핀의 에지 부분에 작용기가 부착되어 있음을 보여주는 IR스펙트럼을 얻었다.
상기 산화그래핀의 입자직경, 입자 두께, 표면적을 측정한 결과, 입자직경이 ΙΟμιτι, 입자 두께는 7nm, 표면적은 600m2/g로 측정되었다.
2. 그래핀-고분자복합체 제조
네 i펜틸글리콜 (NPG):에틸렌글리콜 (EG):프탈릭안하이드라이드 (PhAn):아디프산 (M )=1.5:1.5:1:1의 볼비로 배합하여 모노머를 준비하고, 산화그래핀은 모노머 대비 0.5중량%, 에스테르화 촉매로서 부틸클로로틴 디하이드록사이드는 모노머 대비 0.05중량 용매로서 부틸 아세테이트를 혼합하고 280t에서 그래프팅을 통하여 그래핀—폴리에스테르 복합체를 제조하였다.
3. 그래핀ᅳ고분자복합체 함유코팅액의 제조
합성된 그래핀-폴리에스테르 복합체, 경화제로서 블록화된 이소시아네이트 (Blocked isocyanate, Trixene BI 7982, Baxenden Chemicals Ltd) 촉매 (DBTDL; Di butyl Tin Dulaurate),용매로서 프로필렌 글리콜 에테르 아세테이트 (propylene glycol ether acetate)를 각각 표 1의 조성으로 흔합하여 그래핀ᅳ폴리에스테르 복합체 함유 코팅액 (G005, G010, G015)을 제조하였다. 이때 그래핀-폴리에스테르 복합체 내에 포함된 그래핀의 함량은 세 경우에 각각 5증량? ί), 10중량 %, 15중량 %이다. 또한, 합성된 그래핀—폴리에스테르 복합체의 첨가량은 G005, G010, GO 15각각에 대하여 30g씩 넣었다.
비교를 위하여 그래핀-폴리에스테르 복합체가 함유되지 않은 'G000' 용액도 준비하였다. 'G000' 용액에서는 상업용 폴리에스테르 수지 (CRF00167, CC) 25g, 그래핀 5gᅳ경화제로서 블록화된 이소시아네이트 (Blocked isocyanate, Trixene BI 7982, Baxenden Chemicals Ltd), 촉매 (DBTDL; Dibutyl Tin Dulaurate),용매로서 프로필렌 글리콜 에테르 아세테이트 (propylene glycol ether acetate)를 각각 표 1의 조성으로 흔합하여 그래핀-폴리에스테르 분산용액 (G000)을 제조하였다.

4. 코팅 강판의 제조
상기 제조된 그래핀-폴리에스테르 복합체 함유 코팅액 및 그래핀-고분자 분산용 액을 아연도금 (G.I)강판 표면에 #3 바 코터 (Bar coater)로 각각 코팅한 뒤 PMT으 로 250°C에서 40초 동안 건조하여 10/im의 도막을 형성하였다.
5. 코팅강판의 물성 분석
각각의 코팅강판에 대하여 내식성, 밀착성, 분산안정성, 경화효율, 방열성, 전기 전도도를 측정하였다. 또한, 라만스펙트럼을 통하여 본 발명에 따른 코팅강판의 도막 상부에 구조적 결함이 없이 그래핀 성분이 잘 코팅되어 있음을 확인할 수 있다. (1) 내식성
코팅된 시편을 35°C, 95%의 습도에서 5¾의 식염수를 연속분무하여 72 시간 후 발청정도를 평가하였다.
그래핀-고분자 분산용액 (G000)으로 코팅한 강판 (도 3(b))의 경우 적청발생이 심하나, 본 발명의 그래핀-폴리에스테르 복합체 함유 코팅액 (G010)으로 코팅한 강판 (도 3(a))은 표면이 깨끗함을 알 수 있다.
(2) 밀착성
코팅된 시편을 가로 및 세로 길이가 1mm가 되도록 커터로 커팅하여 100개를 만 들고ᅳ 3M 테이프를 붙인 뒤 때어내어 도막의 부착 정도를 평가하였다. 본 발명의 그래핀-폴리에스테르 복합체 함유 코팅액 (G010)으로 코팅한 강판 (도 4(a))의 밀착성이 그래핀-고분자 분산용액 (G000)으로 코팅한 강판 (도 4(b))에 비해 양호하게 나타난다.
(3) 분산안정성
본 발명의 농도별 그래핀-고분자 복합체 함유 코팅액 (G010)과 그래핀-고분자 분산용액 (G000)을 제조 후 유리용기에 1개월 방치한 후의 상태를 비교한 결과를 도 5에 나타내었다. 그래핀과 고분자를 단순 블랜딩한 경우 (도 5(b) 그래핀이 유기용제와 분리된 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 본 발명의 코팅액의 경우 (도 5(a))는 물로 희석배율을 달리하면서 분산성을 측정하였으나, 모든 경우에 용제와의 분리됨이 없이 분산성이 우수함을 확인할 수 있었다. (4) 경화효율
경화효율은 그래핀ᅳ고분자 복합체 함유 코팅액 (G010)과 그래핀-고분자 분산용액 (G000)을 각각 최고강판온도 (Peak Metal Temperature: PMT)를 각각 달리하여 코팅한 뒤 코팅층과 소재와의 밀착성을 테스트하여 경화효율을 평가하였다.
밀착성은 가공부와 평판 두 가지에 대해 모두 평가하였다. 표면처리된 강판의 표면에 크로스컷 가이드 (Cross cut guide)를 이용하여, 날카로운 칼로 가로 세로의 격자 형태로 100개의 칸을 1mm 간격으로 긋고, 격자로 그어진 부분을 Erichsen tester를 이용하여 6mm 높이로 밀어 올리고, 밀어 을린 부위에 스카치테이프 (Ichiban사 NB-1 를 부착한 후 떼어내어 떨어진 면의 상태를 관찰하여 평가하였다.
또한, 평판은 가로 세로의 격자 형태로 100개의 칸을 1mm 간격으로 긋고 바로 스카치테이프 (Ichiban사 NB-1)를 부착한 후 떼어내어 떨어진 면의 상태를 관찰하여 평가하였다.
가공부와 평판 두가지에 대해 평가결과는 "붙어있는 개수 /100" 으로 표시하였다. 즉, 표면에서 떨어진 부분이 없는 경우 "100/100" 으로, 10개의 박리가 발생한 경우 "90/100" 로, 20개의 박리가 발생한 경우 "80/100" 로 표시하였다.
벤딩 (bending)은 코팅된 시편의 표면을 180° 구부린 다음, 바이스에 넣어서 평면 이 될 때까지 조였다. (0, 1, 2, 3T-Bending 실시). 구부러진 부분에서 도막의 박리 및 크랙의 발생 상태를 평가하였다. 【표 2】

(IVS: line speed, C.E.T : cross-cut & erichsen test & tapping test) 그래핀-고분자 복합체 함유 코팅액으로 코팅한 시편은 PMT 변화에 따라서 밀착성 (평판 및 가공부) 및 벤딩이 모두 양호하였다. 밀착력의 경우 택핑 (tapping) 후에도 코팅 층이 박리되지 않았다. 또한, 벤딩 부위에서는 코팅층이 벗겨지거나 크랙이 발생하지 않았다. PMT 변화에 따라서 경화가 충분히 이루어졌음을 알 수 있다.
반면, 단순 블랜딩으로 제조된 그래핀-고분자 분산용액으로 코팅된 시편은 PMT 변화에 따라 코팅층이 박리되는 현상이 발생하였다. PMT가 230°C이하에서는 코팅층이 밀리는 현상이 나타났고, PMT가 270°C이상에서는 크랙이 발생하였으며 , 밀착성 (평판 및 가공부)도 240-250 °C 범위에서만 양호하였다. 이는, 낮은 PMT에서는 코팅용액이 충분히 경화되지 못하여 밀려 벗겨지고, 반대로 높은 PMT에서는 과경화되어 코팅층에 크랙이 발생하는 것이다. 이로써 그래핀-고분자 복합체로 코팅하는 경우가 보다 넓은 범위의 PMT에서 경화효율이 좋고, 동일한 PMT에서도 경화 효율이 훨씬 더 좋음을 확인하였다. (5) 방열성 및 전기전도도
EG (전기도금강판)의 양면에 내지문 수지, 방열 수지, 그래핀 산화물 (GO; Graphene Oxide) 분산 수지, 그래핀-고분자 복합체 함유 코팅액 (본 발명)을 코팅하여 시험편을 준비하였다.
상기 내지문 수지는 수분산 우레탄 수지, 3~6중량부의 인산, 3~6중량부의 지르코늄 불화티타늄, 20~50중량부의 무기 바인더 수지 및 0.5~1.50중량부의 실란 화합물을 함유하는 코팅액이고, 상기 방열 수지는 수분산 유기 수지 및 열전도성 분산체를 포함하고, 상기 열전도성 분산체의 고형분 100 중량부에 대하여, 35-65 중량부의 규소 함유 화합물 및 35~65중량부의 알루미늄 함유 화합물을 포함하는 코팅액이고, 상기 그래핀 산화물 분산 수지는 상기 표 1의 코팅 용액 중 G000이다. 상기 그래핀-고분자 복합체 함유 코팅액은 상기 표 1의 코팅 용액 중 G010 이다. 방열성 평가를 위하여 , 도 6에 도시된 방열온도 평가장치를 이용하여 LED모들과 준비된 시험편의 온도를 측정하여 각각의 시험편에 대하여 LED모듈의 온도 대비 (-)로의 온도차를 계산하였다.
또한, MitSLibishi Chemical사의 Loresta GP (ESP Probe)를 이용하여 전기전도성을 측정하였으며, 표면저항을 측정하였다. 통전율은 코팅되지 않은 시편 대비 전류의 흐름을 비교하여 백분율로 나타낸 것이다.

상기 표 3의 결과를 보면, 방열 효과의 경우 본 발명의 코팅 용액으로 준비된 코팅 시편이 LED 모들 대비 온도 차이가 가장 크게 나는 것을 볼 수 있었으며, 이로써 방열 효과가 가장 크다는 것을 확인하였다.
전기전도도는 각각의 저항을 측정한 결과이며, 전기전도도 값이 작을수록 전기저항이 작다. 따라서, 본 발명의 코팅 용액으로 준비된 코팅 시편의 전기저항이 가장 적음을 알 수 있었으며, 이로써, 강판에 코팅을 하여도 그래핀으로 인하여 통전율이 100%임을 확인하였다. 일반적으로 고분자 수지가 강판에 코팅되면 전기가 흐르지 않아 통전율이 떨어지게 되나, 본 발명에서는 그래핀-고분자 복합체가 강판에 균일하게 코팅됨으로써 통전율이 떨어지지 않음을 알 수 있다.

제 4항에 있어서,
상기 도막의 두께는 1~20μπι인, 그래핀-고분자 복합체가 코팅된 강판.
【청구항 7】
흑연과 박리보조제를 흔합하여 박리된 혹연을 제조하는 단계;
상기 박리된 흑연을 열처리하는 단계;
상기 박리된 혹연에 작용기를 도입하는 단계; 및
마이크로웨이브 또는 초음파를 처리하여 재차 박리하는 단계를 포함하며 , 상기 박리보조제는 알카리 금속류, 산 (acid)류, 및 극성용매류 중 1종 또는 2종 이상의 흔합물인 것인, 산화그래핀의 제조방법.
【청구항 8】
그래핀의 가장자리에 작용기가 치환되어 있는 산화그래핀 및 용매를 흔합하는 단계;
모노머 및 고분자 중 1종 이상을 추가로 흔합하는 단계 ; 및
100~300°C에서 반웅시켜 상기 작용기에 상기 모노머 및 고분자 중 1종 이상을 부착하는 단계를 포함하며,
상기 그래핀은 입자직경이 1~40μπι, 입자 두께는 30nm이하 (Onm 제외), 표면적은 40~1500m2/g인, 그래핀-고분자 복합체를 제조하는 방법 .
【청구항 9】
제 8항애 있어서,
상기 작용기는 하이드록시기 (-0H), 카르복시기 (-C00H), 카르보닐기 (-C0-), 아미노기 (-NH2), 하이드로퍼옥시기 (-00H), 퍼옥시기 (-00-), 티을기 (-SH), 및 이소시아네이트기 (-NC0)로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 하나 이상인 것인, 그래핀-고분자 복합체를 제조하는 방법 .

제 8항에 있어서,
상기 고분자는 폴리에스테르계 수지, 불소계 수지, 염화비닐 수지, 에폭시계 수지 및 아크릴계 수지로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 하나 이상인 것인, 그래핀-고분자 복합체를 제조하는 방법 .
