Description

移動通信システム、ユーザ端末、基地局及びプロセッサ
 本発明は、D2D通信をサポートする移動通信システム、ユーザ端末、基地局及びプロセッサに関する。
 移動通信システムの標準化プロジェクトである3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project)では、リリース12以降の新機能として、端末間(Device to Device:D2D)通信の導入が検討されている(非特許文献1参照)。
 D2D通信は、近接する複数のユーザ端末が、移動通信システムに割り当てられた周波数帯域内で直接的な無線通信を行うものである。なお、D2D通信は、近傍サービス(Proximity Service)通信と称されることもある。
 ユーザ端末は、D2D通信における通信相手端末を発見するために、発見用信号を送信する。発見用信号を受信した他のユーザ端末が応答信号をユーザ端末に送信することにより、ユーザ端末は、D2D通信における通信相手端末を発見することができる。

 しかしながら、ユーザ端末の近傍に他のユーザ端末が存在しない場合には、ユーザ端末がいくら発見用信号を送信しても、D2D通信における通信相手端末を発見することはできない。従って、ユーザ端末が、無駄な発見用信号を送信してしまうという問題がある。
 そこで、本発明は、適切なタイミングで発見用信号を送信可能な移動通信システム、ユーザ端末、基地局及びプロセッサを提供する。
 一実施形態によれば、移動通信システムは、セルを管理する基地局と、前記セルに接続可能なユーザ端末と、前記ユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信できる他のユーザ端末と、を有し、直接的な端末間通信であるD2D通信をサポートする。前記ユーザ端末が前記セルに隣接する隣接セルに接続する前記他のユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信を行っている間に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在すると判断された場合には、前記ユーザ端末は、前記D2D通信のための発見用信号の送信を開始する。

 [実施形態の概要]
 実施形態に係る移動通信システムは、セル(例えば、セル250-1)を管理する基地局(例えば、eNB200-1)と、前記セルに接続可能なユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-1)と、前記ユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信できる他のユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-2)と、を有し、直接的な端末間通信であるD2D通信をサポートする。前記ユーザ端末が前記セルに隣接する隣接セル(例えば、セル250-2)に接続する前記他のユーザ端末と通信を行っている間に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在すると判断された場合には、前記ユーザ端末は、前記D2D通信のための発見用信号の送信を開始する。これにより、ユーザ端末と他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在すると判断された場合、他のユーザ端末は、ユーザ端末から送信された発見用信号を受信する可能性が高い。従って、ユーザ端末は、無駄な発見用信号を送信せずに済み、発見用信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 第1及び第2実施形態において、前記基地局(例えば、eNB200-1)は、前記他のユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-2)が接続する接続セル(例えば、セル250-2)を示すセル識別情報を前記ユーザ端末に送信し、前記ユーザ端末は、前記セル識別情報に基づいて、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在するか否かを判断する。これにより、ユーザ端末自身がセル識別情報に基づいて判断するため、ユーザ端末は、発見用信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 第1実施形態において、前記ユーザ端末(UE100-1)は、前記他のユーザ端末(UE100-2)が接続する接続セル(セル250-2)にハンドオーバを実行した場合に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在すると判断する。これにより、ユーザ端末と他のユーザ端末とが同一のセルに存在するため、他のユーザ端末は、ユーザ端末の近傍にいる可能性が高い。従って、他のユーザ端末がユーザ端末から送信された発見用信号を受信する可能性が高く、ユーザ端末は、発見用信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 第1実施形態において、前記ユーザ端末(UE100-1)は、前記接続セル(セル250-2)から送信される参照信号の受信レベルが所定の閾値に達した場合に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末(UE100-2)とが近傍に存在すると判断する。これにより、ユーザ端末は、ハンドオーバを実行していない場合であっても、他のユーザ端末が接続する接続セルに存在すると判断可能な場合に、発見用信号を送信できるため、ユーザ端末は、発見用信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 第1実施形態において、前記所定の閾値は、前記参照信号の受信レベルに関する測定値を前記基地局(eNB200-1)に報告するトリガーとなる閾値である。測定値の報告のトリガーは、ハンドオーバの実行の目安として利用されるため、ユーザ端末は、他のユーザ端の接続セルに存在又は、他のユーザ端の接続セルの近傍に存在しているため、ユーザ端末と他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在する可能性が高い。従って、ユーザ端末は、発見用信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 第1実施形態において、前記所定の閾値は、前記基地局(eNB200-1)が指定した閾値である。これにより、基地局は、発見用信号の送信タイミングを制御することができる。
 実施形態において、前記基地局(例えば、eNB200-1)は、前記発見用信号を送信する際に用いられる無線リソースの情報及び/又は送信電力の情報を含む関連情報を前記ユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-1)に送信し、前記ユーザ端末は、前記関連情報に対応した前記発見用信号を送信する。これにより、発見用信号がユーザ端末の近傍に存在する別のユーザ端末への干渉信号となることを抑制できる。
 第1実施形態において、前記隣接セル(セル250-2)は、前記基地局(eNB200-1)に隣接する隣接基地局(eNB200-2)によって管理され、前記隣接基地局は、前記ユーザ端末(UE100-1)が前記隣接セルにハンドオーバを実行した場合に、前記発見用信号を送信する際に用いられる無線リソースの情報及び/又は送信電力の情報を含む関連情報を前記ユーザ端末に送信する。これにより、隣接セルにハンドオーバを実行したユーザ端末は、隣接セルを管理する隣接基地局から関連情報を受信するため、基地局から関連情報を受信する場合に比べて、関連情報を確実に受信することができる。
 第1実施形態において、前記基地局(eNB200-1)は、前記関連情報を前記セル識別情報と共に送信する。これにより、ユーザ端末は、受信したセル識別情報に基づいて、他のユーザ端末が近傍に存在すると判断した場合に、セル識別情報と共に送信された関連情報を用いて発見用信号の送信を開始することが可能となる。
 第1実施形態において、前記基地局(eNB200-1)は、前記ユーザ端末(UE100-1)から前記関連情報の要求があった場合に、前記関連情報を送信する。これにより、基地局は、必要な場合にのみ関連情報を送信すればよいため、基地局の負荷を低減させることができる。
 第2実施形態において、前記基地局(eNB200-2)は、前記他のユーザ端末(UE100-1)がハンドオーバを実行した場合に、前記セル識別情報を前記ユーザ端末(UE100-2)に送信する。これにより、ユーザ端末は、他のユーザ端末の接続先が変更したと判断できるため、他のユーザ端末がハンドオーバを実行する前のセル識別情報に基づいて、ユーザ端末と他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在しているという誤った判断をすることがなくなる。従って、ユーザ端末は、無駄な発見用信号を送信せずに済み、ユーザ端末は、発見用信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 第3実施形態において、前記基地局(eNB200-2)は、前記ユーザ端末(UE100-2)と前記他のユーザ端末(UE100-1)とが近傍に存在した場合に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在することを示す情報又は前記発見用信号を送信させるための要求を前記ユーザ端末に送信し、前記ユーザ端末は、前記情報又は前記要求に基づいて、前記D2D通信のための発見用信号の送信を開始する。これにより、基地局は、発見用信号の送信タイミングを制御することができる。
 実施形態において、前記ユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-1)は、前記発見用信号を送信するタイミングと前記基地局(例えば、eNB200-1)にデータを送信するタイミングとが重なった場合に、前記基地局に前記データを優先的に送信する。これにより、発見用信号の送信と、基地局へのデータ送信とが同時にできないユーザ端末であっても、基地局にデータを優先的に送信させることができるため、他のユーザ端末との通信を妨げずに、発見用信号を送信できる。
 実施形態において、セル(例えば、セル250-1)を管理する基地局(例えば、eNB200-1)と、前記セルに接続可能なユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-1)と、前記ユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信できる他のユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-2)と、を有し、直接的な端末間通信であるD2D通信をサポートする移動通信システムにおける前記ユーザ端末は、前記セルに隣接する隣接セル(例えば、セル250-2)に接続する前記他のユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信を行っている間に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在すると判断された場合には、前記D2D通信のための発見用信号の送信を開始する制御部を有する。
 実施形態において、セル(例えば、セル250-1)を管理する基地局(例えば、eNB200-1)と、前記セルに接続可能なユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-1)と、前記ユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信できる他のユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-2)と、を有し、直接的な端末間通信であるD2D通信をサポートする移動通信システムにおける前記基地局は、前記ユーザ端末が前記セルに隣接する隣接セル(例えば、セル250-2)に接続する前記他のユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信を行っている間に、前記他のユーザ端末と接続する接続セル(例えば、セル250-2)に関連する接続セル情報又は前記D2D通信のための発見用信号を送信させるための要求を前記ユーザ端末に送信する制御部を有し、前記接続セル情報及び前記要求は、前記ユーザ端末が前記発見用信号を送信するために用いられる。
 実施形態において、前記接続セル情報は、前記接続セル(例えば、セル250-2)を示すセル識別情報又は/及び前記ユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-1)と前記他のユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-2)とが近傍に存在することを示す情報を含む。
 実施形態において、セル(例えば、セル250-1)を管理する基地局(例えば、eNB200-1)と、前記セルに接続可能なユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-1)と、前記ユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信できる他のユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-2)と、を有し、直接的な端末間通信であるD2D通信をサポートする移動通信システムにおける前記ユーザ端末に備えられるプロセッサ(プロセッサ160)は、前記ユーザ端末が前記セルに隣接する隣接セル(例えば、セル250-2)に接続する前記他のユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信を行っている間に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在すると判断された場合には、前記D2D通信のための発見用信号を送信する処理を開始する。
 実施形態において、セル(例えば、セル250-1)を管理する基地局(例えば、eNB200-1)と、前記セルに接続可能なユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-1)と、前記ユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信できる他のユーザ端末(例えば、UE100-2)と、を有し、直接的な端末間通信であるD2D通信をサポートする移動通信システムにおける前記基地局に備えられるプロセッサ(プロセッサ240)は、前記ユーザ端末が前記セルに隣接する隣接セル(例えば、セル250-2)に接続する前記他のユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信を行っている間に、前記他のユーザ端末と接続する接続セルに関連する接続セル情報又は前記D2D通信のための発見用信号を送信させるための要求を前記ユーザ端末に送信する処理を実行し、前記接続セル情報及び前記要求は、前記ユーザ端末が前記発見用信号を送信するために用いられる。
 以下、図面を参照して、3GPP規格に準拠して構成されるセルラ移動通信システム(以下、「LTEシステム」)にD2D通信を導入する場合の各実施形態を説明する。
 [第1実施形態]
 以下、第1実施形態について、説明する。
 (LTEシステム)
 図1は、本実施形態に係るLTEシステムの構成図である。
 図1に示すように、LTEシステムは、複数のUE(User Equipment)100と、E-UTRAN(Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network)10と、EPC(Evolved Packet Core)20と、を含む。E-UTRAN10及びEPC20は、ネットワークを構成する。
 UE100は、移動型の無線通信装置であり、接続を確立したセル(サービングセル)との無線通信を行う。UE100はユーザ端末に相当する。
 E-UTRAN10は、複数のeNB200(evolved Node-B)を含む。eNB200は基地局に相当する。eNB200は、セルを管理しており、セルとの接続を確立したUE100との無線通信を行う。
 なお、「セル」は、無線通信エリアの最小単位を示す用語として使用される他に、UE100との無線通信を行う機能を示す用語としても使用される。
 eNB200は、例えば、無線リソース管理(RRM)機能と、ユーザデータのルーティング機能と、モビリティ制御及びスケジューリングのための測定制御機能と、を有する。
 EPC20は、MME(Mobility Management Entity)/S-GW(Serving-Gateway)300と、OAM400(Operation and Maintenance)と、を含む。
 MMEは、UE100に対する各種モビリティ制御等を行うネットワークノードであり、制御局に相当する。S-GWは、ユーザデータの転送制御を行うネットワークノードであり、交換局に相当する。
 eNB200は、X2インターフェイスを介して相互に接続される。また、eNB200は、S1インターフェイスを介してMME/S-GW300と接続される。
 OAM400は、オペレータによって管理されるサーバ装置であり、E-UTRAN10の保守及び監視を行う。
 次に、UE100及びeNB200の構成を説明する。
 図2は、UE100のブロック図である。図2に示すように、UE100は、アンテナ101と、無線送受信機110と、ユーザインターフェイス120と、GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System)受信機130と、バッテリ140と、メモリ150と、プロセッサ160と、を有する。メモリ150及びプロセッサ160は、制御部を構成する。
 UE100は、GNSS受信機130を有していなくてもよい。また、メモリ150をプロセッサ160と一体化し、このセット(すなわち、チップセット)をプロセッサ160’としてもよい。
 アンテナ101及び無線送受信機110は、無線信号の送受信に用いられる。アンテナ101は、複数のアンテナ素子を含む。無線送受信機110は、プロセッサ160が出力するベースバンド信号を無線信号に変換してアンテナ101から送信する。また、無線送受信機110は、アンテナ101が受信する無線信号をベースバンド信号に変換してプロセッサ160に出力する。
 ユーザインターフェイス120は、UE100を所持するユーザとのインターフェイスであり、例えば、ディスプレイ、マイク、スピーカ、及び各種ボタンなどを含む。ユーザインターフェイス120は、ユーザからの操作を受け付けて、該操作の内容を示す信号をプロセッサ160に出力する。
 GNSS受信機130は、UE100の地理的な位置を示す位置情報を得るために、GNSS信号を受信して、受信した信号をプロセッサ160に出力する。
 バッテリ140は、UE100の各ブロックに供給すべき電力を蓄える。
 メモリ150は、プロセッサ160によって実行されるプログラムと、プロセッサ160による処理に使用される情報と、を記憶する。
 プロセッサ160は、ベースバンド信号の変調・復調及び符号化・復号などを行うベースバンドプロセッサと、メモリ150に記憶されるプログラムを実行して各種の処理を行うCPU(Central Processing Unit)と、を含む。プロセッサ160は、さらに、音声・映像信号の符号化・復号を行うコーデックを含んでもよい。プロセッサ160は、後述する各種の処理及び各種の通信プロトコルを実行する。
 図3は、eNB200のブロック図である。図3に示すように、eNB200は、アンテナ201と、無線送受信機210と、ネットワークインターフェイス220と、メモリ230と、プロセッサ240と、を有する。メモリ230及びプロセッサ240は、制御部を構成する。なお、メモリ230をプロセッサ240と一体化し、このセット(すなわち、チップセット)をプロセッサ240’としてもよい。
 アンテナ201及び無線送受信機210は、無線信号の送受信に用いられる。アンテナ201は、複数のアンテナ素子を含む。無線送受信機210は、プロセッサ240が出力するベースバンド信号を無線信号に変換してアンテナ201から送信する。また、無線送受信機210は、アンテナ201が受信する無線信号をベースバンド信号に変換してプロセッサ240に出力する。
 ネットワークインターフェイス220は、X2インターフェイスを介して隣接eNB200と接続され、S1インターフェイスを介してMME/S-GW300と接続される。ネットワークインターフェイス220は、X2インターフェイス上で行う通信及びS1インターフェイス上で行う通信に用いられる。
 メモリ230は、プロセッサ240によって実行されるプログラムと、プロセッサ240による処理に使用される情報と、を記憶する。
 プロセッサ240は、ベースバンド信号の変調・復調及び符号化・復号などを行うベースバンドプロセッサと、メモリ230に記憶されるプログラムを実行して各種の処理を行うCPUと、を含む。プロセッサ240は、後述する各種の処理及び各種の通信プロトコルを実行する。
 (D2D通信)
 次に、LTEシステムの通常の通信(セルラ通信)とD2D通信とを比較して説明する。
 図4は、セルラ通信におけるデータパスを示す図である。ここでは、eNB200-1との接続を確立したUE100-1と、eNB200-2との接続を確立したUE100-2と、の間でセルラ通信を行う場合を例示している。なお、データパスとは、ユーザデータ(ユーザプレーン)の転送経路を意味する。
 図4に示すように、セルラ通信のデータパスはネットワークを経由する。詳細には、eNB200-1、S-GW300、及びeNB200-2を経由するデータパスが設定される。
 図5は、D2D通信におけるデータパスを示す図である。ここでは、eNB200-1との接続を確立したUE100-1と、eNB200-2との接続を確立したUE100-2と、の間でD2D通信を行う場合を例示している。
 図5に示すように、D2D通信のデータパスはネットワークを経由しない。すなわち、UE間で直接的な無線通信を行う。このように、UE100-1の近傍にUE100-2が存在するのであれば、UE100-1とUE100-2との間でD2D通信を行うことによって、ネットワークのトラフィック負荷及びUE100のバッテリ消費量を削減するなどの効果が得られる。なお、Locally Routedというモード(局所中継モード)では、データパスがS-GW300を経由せずにeNB200を経由する。
 なお、D2D通信が開始されるケースとして、(a)相手端末を発見するための動作を行うことによって相手端末を発見した後に、D2D通信が開始されるケースと、(b)相手端末を発見するための動作を行わずにD2D通信が開始されるケースがある。
 例えば、上記(a)のケースでは、UE100-1及びUE100-2のうち一方のUE100が、近傍に存在する他方のUE100を発見することで、D2D通信が開始される。
 このケースの場合、UE100は、相手端末を発見するために、自身の近傍に存在する他のUE100を発見する(Discover)機能、及び/又は、UE100は、他のUE100から発見される(Discoverable)機能を有する。
 具体的には、UE100-1は、相手端末を発見するため又は相手端末に発見されるために用いられる発見用信号(Discovery信号/Discoverable信号)を送信する。発見用信号を受信したUE100-2は、UE100-1を発見する。UE100-2は、発見用信号に対する応答を送信することで、発見用信号を送信したUE100-1は、相手端末であるUE100-1を発見する。
 なお、UE100は、相手端末を発見しても必ずしもD2D通信を行う必要はなく、例えば、UE100-1及びUE100-2は、互いに相手を発見した後に、ネゴシエーションを行って、D2D通信を行うか否かを判定してもよい。UE100-1及びUE100-2のそれぞれは、D2D通信を行うことに同意した場合に、D2D通信を開始する。なお、UE100-1は、相手端末を発見した後にD2D通信を行わなかった場合、上位レイヤ(例えば、アプリケーションなど)に近傍のUE100(すなわち、UE100-2)の発見を報告してもよい。例えば、アプリケーションは、当該報告に基づく処理(例えば、UE100-2の位置を地図情報にプロットする処理など)を実行できる。
 また、UE100は、相手端末を発見したことをeNB200に報告し、相手端末との通信をセルラ通信によって行うかD2D通信によって行うかの指示をeNB200から受けることも可能である。
 一方、上記(b)のケースでは、例えば、UE100-1は、相手端末を特定せずに、D2D通信用の信号の送信(ブロードキャストによる報知など)を開始する。これにより、UE100は、相手端末の発見の有無にかかわらず、D2D通信を開始できる。なお、D2D通信用の信号の待ち受け動作を行っているUE100-2は、UE100-1からの当該信号に基づいて、同期又は/及び復調を行う。
 (第1実施形態に係る移動通信システムの動作)
 次に、第1実施形態に係る移動通信システムの動作について、図6及び図7を用いて説明する。
 図6A及び図6Bは、第1実施形態に係るUE100-1及びUE100-2の動作例を示す図である。具体的には、図6Aは、UE100-1が移動する前の状態を示す図であり、図6Bは、UE100-1が移動した後の状態を示す図である。
 図6Aに示すように、UE100-1は、eNB200-1が管理するセル250-1に接続している。UE100-2は、eNB200-2が管理するセル250-2に接続している。eNB200-1及びeNB200-2は、S1インターフェイスを介してMME/S-GW300と接続される。UE100-1及びUE100-2は、eNB200-1及びeNB200-2を介して通信(いわゆるセルラ通信)を行っている。なお、図6A及び図6Bは、eNB200-1及びeNB200-2が、S1インターフェイスを介してMME/S-GW300と接続されている例を示しているが、eNB200-1及びeNB200-2が、X2インターフェイスを介して接続されている例であってもよい。
 本実施形態では、図6Aに示すように、UE100-1がセル250-2の方向へ移動し、図6Bに示すように、UE100-1がセル250-2にハンドオーバを実行した後に、発見用信号(以下、Discovery信号と称する)を送信したと仮定して説明する。
 ここで、eNB200-1は、隣接セルリスト及び通信端末リストを有する。すなわち、eNB200-1のメモリ230には、隣接セルリスト及び通信端末リストが記憶されている。eNB200-2も同様に、隣接セルリスト及び通信端末リストを有する。
 図7Aは、隣接セルリストの一例を示す図である。図7Bは、通信端末リストの一例を示す図である。
 隣接セルリストは、eNB200が管理するセル(以下、自セルと適宜称する)に隣接する隣接セルを、eNB200が把握するためのリストである。隣接セルリストには、自セルに隣接する隣接セルを示す情報(隣接セルID)が記録される。例えば、図7Aに示されるように、eNB200-1が有する隣接セルリスト(図7Aの左側)には、自セルであるセル250-1に隣接する隣接セルとして、セル250-2が記録される。eNB200-2が有する隣接セルリスト(図7Aの右側)には、自セル250-2に隣接する隣接セルとして、セル250-1が記録される。
 通信端末リストは、自セルに接続するUE100がeNB200を介して他のUE100と通信を行っている場合に、eNB200が、自セルに接続するUE100を把握するためのリストである。通信端末リストには、自セルに接続し、かつ、通信中のUE100を示す情報(通信UEID)、通信中のUE100の通信相手である通信相手UE100を示す情報(通信相手UEID)、及び、通信相手UE100が接続しているセルを示す情報(通信相手接続セルID)が記録される。例えば、図7Bに示されるように、eNB200-1が有する通信端末リスト(図7Bの上側)には、自セル(セル250-1)に接続し、かつ、通信中のUE100として、UE100-1が記録され、通信中のUE100(UE100-1)の通信相手UE100として、UE100-2が記録され、通信相手UE100(UE100-2)が接続しているセルとして、セル250-2が記録される。eNB200-2が有する通信端末リスト(図7Bの下側)には、自セル(セル250-2)に接続し、かつ、通信中のUE100として、UE100-2が記録され、通信中のUE100(UE100-2)の通信相手UE100として、UE100-1が記録され、通信相手UE(UE100-1)が接続しているセルとしてセル250-1が記録される。
 なお、通信端末リストには、自セルに接続し、かつ、通信中のUE100の全てを示す情報が記録されなくてもよい。例えば、通信端末リストには、通信相手UE100の接続セルが隣接セルである場合における通信中のUE100の情報及びこれに対応する情報(通信相手UEID及び通信相手接続セルID)のみが記録されてもよい。すなわち、自セルに接続するUE100の通信相手が隣接セルと接続していない場合は、自セルに接続し、かつ、通信中のUE100であっても通信端末リストに記録されなくてもよい。
 eNB200は、自セルに接続するUE100の通信相手UE100を認識してない場合(通信相手UEが不明である場合)には、上位装置であるMMEに問い合わせてもよいし、自セルに接続するUE100に問い合わせてもよい。また、eNB200は、自セルに接続するUE100の通信相手UE100が接続しているセルを認識していない場合(自セルに接続するUE100の通信相手UE100が接続しているセルが不明である場合)には、上位装置であるMMEに問い合わせてもよい。
 UE100-1の通信が終了した場合には、通信が終了したUE100-1に関する情報は、通信管理リストから削除される。
 次に、第1実施形態に係る移動通信システムの具体的な動作を説明する。図8は、第1実施形態に係る移動通信システムの動作例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図8に示すように、ステップ101において、eNB200-1及びeNB200-2は、X2インターフェイス又はS1インターフェイスを介して通信端末情報を交換する。具体的には、eNB200-1は、eNB200-1の隣接セルリストに記録された隣接セル250-2を管理するeNB200-2に、eNB200-1の通信端末リストに記録された情報に基づく通信端末情報を送信する。同様に、eNB200-2は、eNB200-2の隣接セルリストに記録された隣接セル250-1を管理するeNB200-1に、eNB200-2の通信端末リストに記録された情報に基づく通信端末情報を送信する。
 ここで、通信端末情報は、自セルに接続し、かつ、セルラ通信中のUE100及び当該UE100が接続するセルを示す情報である。eNB200は、通信端末情報として、自セルに接続するUE100の通信相手である他のUE100を示す情報及び他のUE100の接続セルを示す情報も共に送信してもよい。
 eNB200-1及びeNB200-2は、受信した通信端末情報を基に、それぞれが有する通信端末リストを更新する。
 ステップ102において、eNB200-1は、UE100-1にDiscovery関連情報を送信する。UE100-1は、Discovery関連情報を受信する。
 ここで、Discovery関連情報は、Discovery信号を送信する際に用いられる無線リソースの情報及び/又は送信電力の情報を含む情報である。Discovery信号を送信する際に用いられる無線リソースの情報は、時間リソースの情報及び周波数リソースの情報の少なくとも一方を含む。なお、eNB200-1は、Discovery信号がセル250-1又は/及びセル250-2に接続されたUE100への干渉信号とならないような無線リソース及び送信電力を選択して、Discovery関連情報に含める。
 本実施形態において、eNB200-1は、Discovery関連情報をブロードキャストで送信する。例えば、eNB200-1は、システム情報ブロック(SIB)にDiscovery関連情報を含めて送信する。システム情報ブロック(SIB)にDiscovery関連情報を含めることにより、UE100-1は、アイドル状態においてもDiscovery関連情報を受信できる。なお、eNB200-1は、Discovery関連情報をユニキャストで送信してもよい。
 ステップ103において、eNB200-1は、UE100-1にセル識別情報を送信する。
 ここで、セル識別情報は、UE100-1と通信中のUE100-2が接続する接続セルを示す情報である。本実施形態において、eNB200-1が送信するセル識別情報には、UE100-2が接続するセル250-2を示す識別子が含まれる(図7Bの「通信相手接続セルID」の欄参照)。
 eNB200-1は、UE100-1にセル識別情報を定期的に送信してもよい。例えば、eNB200-1は、UE100-1がUE100-2と通信を開始してから所定時間経過した場合に、セル識別情報を送信してもよいし、通信端末情報に基づいて、UE100-2の接続セルがセル250-2であることを記録又は更新した場合に、セル識別情報を送信してもよい。
 ステップ104において、セル250-2の方向へ移動したUE100-1は、セル250-2と接続するためにハンドオーバを実行する。これにより、UE100-1は、UE100-2とeNB200-2を介して通信を行う。
 ステップ105において、UE100-1は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かの判断を行う。本実施形態において、UE100-1は、ハンドオーバを実行したことをトリガーとして、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かの判断を行う。UE100-1は、UE100-2の接続セルにハンドオーバを実行した場合に、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断し、Discovery信号を送信すると決定する。
 具体的には、UE100-1は、UE100-1の接続セルとUE100-2の接続セルとが同一である場合に、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断する。すなわち、UE100-1は、ステップ103において受信したセル識別情報が示すセル(すなわち、UE100-2の接続セル)とUE100-1の接続セルとが同一であるか判断する。
 なお、UE100-1がeNB200-1からセル識別情報を取得していない場合、UE100-1は、UE100-1の接続セルとUE100-2の接続セルとが同一でないと判断する。
 UE100-1は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在しないと判断した場合(ステップ105において、「No」の場合)には、Discovery信号の送信を行わない。
 一方、UE100-1は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断した場合(ステップ105において、「Yes」の場合)には、ステップ106の処理を実行する。
 ステップ106において、UE100-1は、Discovery信号の送信を開始する。
 UE100-1は、Discovery関連情報を受信している場合には、Discovery関連情報に対応したDiscovery信号を送信してもよい。具体的には、UE100-1は、Discovery関連情報に含まれる無線リソースの情報及び/又は送信電力の情報に基づいてDiscovery信号を送信する際に用いる無線リソース及び送信電力を決定する。UE100-1は、決定した無線リソース及び送信電力に基づいて、Discovery信号の送信を開始する。
 UE100-1は、Discovery信号を所定回数送信してもよいし、所定期間送信してもよい。eNB200-1は、この所定回数及び所定期間を示す情報をDiscovery関連情報に含めて、ブロードキャストで送信してもよいし、ユニキャストで送信してもよい。
 UE100-1は、所定回数又は所定期間のうちに、UE100-2からDiscovery信号に対する応答信号(以下、Discovery応答信号)を受信しなかった場合は、Discovery信号の送信を停止してもよい。これにより、UE100-1のバッテリの消費を抑制できる。
 Discovery信号には、Discovery信号の送信元がUE100-1であることを示す識別情報及び/又はDiscovery信号の送信先がUE100-2であることを示す識別情報が含まれてもよい。
 UE100-2は、Discovery信号を受信した場合、Discovery応答信号をUE100-1に送信する。UE100-1は、Discovery応答信号を受信した場合、UE100-2とD2D通信による接続をeNB200-2へ要求する。
 要求を受けたeNB200-2は、スケジューリングを行う。具体的には、UE100-1とUE100-2との間の通信(D2D通信)に使用する無線リソースの割り当てを行い、スケジューリング情報をUE100-1に送信する。スケジューリング情報は、UE100-1とUE100-2との間のD2D通信に割り当てた無線リソースを示す情報である。
 UE100-1とUE100-2とは、D2Dリンクを確立するために用いられる情報の交換(negotiation)を行う。D2Dリンクを確立するために用いられる情報とは、例えば、スケジューリング情報である。
 UE100-1とUE100-2との間に、D2Dリンクが確立された場合、UE100-1は、D2Dリンクが確立されたことをeNB200-2へ報告する。
 報告を受けたeNB200-2は、UE100-1とUE100-2とのeNB200-2を介した通信を終了する。
 (第1実施形態の変形例1)
 次に、第1実施形態の変形例1に係る移動通信システムの動作について、図9を用いて説明する。なお、上述した第1実施形態と異なる部分を中心に説明し、同様の部分は、説明を適宜省略する。
 上述した第1実施形態では、UE100-1がハンドオーバを実行した後に、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かの判断を行った。本変形例では、UE100-1がハンドオーバを実行したか否かにかかわらず、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かの判断を行う。
 図9は、第1実施形態の変形例1に係る移動通信システムの動作例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図9において、ステップ201から203は、それぞれ第1実施形態のステップ101から103に対応する(図8参照)。
 図9に示すように、ステップ204において、UE100-1は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かの判断を行う。本実施形態において、UE100-1は、セル250-2から送信される参照信号(例えば、RSRP)の受信レベルが所定の閾値に達した場合に、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断する。
 ここで、所定の閾値とは、例えば、セル250-2から送信される参照信号の受信レベルに関する測定値をeNB200-1に報告するトリガー(Measurement Reportのトリガー)となる閾値である。例えば、UE100-1がセル250-2にハンドオーバを実行した後に、セル250-2から送信される参照信号の受信レベルが所定の閾値よりも高くなった場合(イベントA1)に、UE100-1は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断する。または、UE100-1が接続しているセル250-1から送信される参照信号(以下、第1参照信号と称する)の受信レベルをオフセットした所定の閾値よりも、UE100-2が接続しているセル250-2から送信される参照信号(以下、第2参照信号と称する)の受信レベルが高くなった場合(イベントA3)、第2参照信号の受信レベルが所定の閾値よりも低くなった場合(イベントA4)、又は、第1参照信号の受信レベルが所定の第1閾値よりも低くなり、第2参照信号の受信レベルが所定の第2閾値よりも高くなった場合(イベントA5)のいずれかの場合に、UE100-1は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断してもよい。
 また、所定の閾値は、eNB200-1が指定した閾値であってもよい。eNB200-1は、指定した閾値を示す情報をブロードキャスト又はユニキャストで送信する。なお、eNB200-1は、ブロードキャストで送信する場合には、システム情報ブロック(SIB)に指定した閾値を含めて送信してもよい。また、eNB200-1は、指定した閾値を示す情報をDiscovery関連情報に含めて送信してもよい。
 UE100-1は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在しないと判断した場合(ステップ204において、「No」の場合)には、Discovery信号の送信を行わない。
 一方、UE100-1は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断した場合(ステップ204において、「Yes」の場合)には、ステップ205の処理を実行する。ステップ205は、第1実施形態のステップ106に対応する(図8参照)。
 (第1実施形態の変形例2)
 次に、第1実施形態の変形例2に係る移動通信システムの動作について、図10を用いて説明する。なお、上述した第1実施形態及び変形例と異なる部分を中心に説明し、同様の部分は、説明を適宜省略する。
 上述した第1実施形態では、UE100-1は、ハンドオーバを実行する前にeNB200-1からDiscovery関連情報を受信した。本変形例では、UE100-1は、ハンドオーバを実行した後に、eNB200-2からDiscovery関連情報を受信する。
 図10は、第1実施形態の変形例2に係る移動通信システムの動作例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図10において、ステップ301及び302は、それぞれ第1実施形態のステップ101及び104に対応する(図8参照)。
 eNB200-2は、eNB200-2が管理するセル250-2へUE100-1がハンドオーバを実行したことにより、UE100-1の接続するセルがセル250-2に変更したことを通信端末リストに記録し、通信端末リストを更新する。
 図10に示すように、ステップ303において、eNB200-2は、Discovery関連情報をセル識別情報と共にUE100-1へユニキャストで送信する。
 本変形例では、eNB200-2は、eNB200-2が管理するセル250-2にUE100-1がハンドオーバを実行したことをトリガーとして、UE100-1にセル識別情報及びDiscovery関連情報をユニキャストで送信する。すなわち、eNB200-2は、UE100-1がセル250-2にハンドオーバを実行した場合に、セル識別情報及びDiscovery関連情報を送信する。
 なお、eNB200-2は、セル識別情報とDiscovery関連情報とを別々に送信してもよい。
 ステップ304及びステップ305は、それぞれ第1実施形態のステップ105及び106に対応する(図8参照)。
 (第1実施形態の変形例3)
 次に、第1実施形態の変形例3に係る移動通信システムの動作について、図11を用いて説明する。なお、上述した第1実施形態及び各変形例と異なる部分を中心に説明し、同様の部分は、説明を適宜省略する。
 上述した第1実施形態では、eNB200-1(又はeNB200-2)は、自ら主体的に、UE100-1にDiscovery関連情報を送信していた。本変形例では、eNB200-2は、UE100-1からDiscovery関連情報の要求があった場合に、Discovery関連情報を送信する。
 図11は、第1実施形態の変形例3に係る移動通信システムの動作例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図11において、ステップ401及び402は、それぞれ第1実施形態のステップ101及び104に対応する(図8参照)。
 図11に示すように、ステップ403において、eNB200-2は、UE100-1にセル識別情報を送信する。
 ステップ404において、UE100-1は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かの判断を行う。
 UE100-1は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在しないと判断した場合(ステップ404において、「No」の場合)には、Discovery信号の送信を行わない。
 一方、UE100-1は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断した場合(ステップ404において、「Yes」の場合)には、ステップ405の処理を実行する。
 ステップ405において、UE100-1は、Discovery関連情報をeNB200-2に要求する。eNB200-2は、Discovery関連情報の要求を受信する。
 ステップ406において、Discovery関連情報の要求を受信したeNB200-2は、Discovery関連情報をUE100-1に送信する。UE100-1は、Discovery関連情報を受信する。
 ステップ407において、UE100-1は、Discovery関連情報に対応したDiscovery信号を送信する。
 (第1実施形態のまとめ)
 本実施形態では、UE100-1がUE100-2と通信を行っている間に、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断された場合には、UE100-1は、Discovery信号の送信を開始する。これにより、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断された場合、UE100-2は、UE100-1から送信されたDiscovery信号を受信する可能性が高い。従って、UE100-1は、無駄なDiscovery信号を送信せずに済み、Discovery信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 加えて、UE100-1は、無駄なDiscovery信号を送信せずに済むため、UE100-1のバッテリの消費を抑制できる。
 また、本実施形態では、eNB200-1は、UE100-2が接続する接続セルを示すセル識別情報をUE100-1に送信し、UE100-1は、セル識別情報に基づいて、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かを判断する。これにより、UE100-1自身がセル識別情報に基づいて判断するため、UE100-1は、Discovery信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 また、本実施形態では、UE100-1は、UE100-2の接続セルにハンドオーバを実行した場合に、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断する。これにより、UE100-1とUE100-2とが同一のセルに存在するため、UE100-2は、UE100-1の近傍にいる可能性が高い。従って、UE100-2がUE100-1から送信されたDiscovery信号を受信する可能性が高く、UE100-1は、Discovery信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 また、本実施形態では、eNB200-1は、Discovery信号を送信する際に用いられる無線リソースの情報及び/又は送信電力の情報を含むDiscovery関連情報をUE100-1に送信し、UE100-1は、Discovery関連情報に対応したDiscovery信号を送信する。これにより、Discovery信号がUE100-1の近傍に存在する別のUE100への干渉信号となることを抑制できる。
 本変形例1では、UE100-1は、eNB200-2(セル250-2)から送信される参照信号の受信レベルが所定の閾値に達した場合に、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断する。これにより、UE100-1は、ハンドオーバを実行していない場合(例えば、UE100-1からのハンドオーバ要請がeNB200-2に受理されなかった場合)であっても、UE100-2が接続するセル250-2に存在すると判断可能な場合に、Discovery信号を送信できるため、UE100-1は、Discovery信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 また、本変形例1では、所定の閾値は、セル250-2からの参照信号の受信レベルに関する測定値をeNB200-1に報告するトリガーとなる閾値である。測定値の報告のトリガーは、ハンドオーバの実行の目安として利用されるため、UE100-1がセル250-2に存在する可能性が高く、UE100-1とUE100-2とが同一のセルに存在する可能性が高い。従って、UE100-1は、Discovery信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 また、本変形例1では、所定の閾値は、eNB200-1が指定した閾値である。これにより、eNB200-1は、Discovery信号の送信タイミングを制御することができる。
 本変形例2では、eNB200-2は、UE100-1がセル250-2にハンドオーバを実行した場合に、Discovery関連情報をUE100-1に送信する。これにより、セル250-2にハンドオーバを実行したUE100-1は、セル250-2を管理するeNB200-2からDiscovery関連情報を受信するため、eNB200-1からDiscovery関連情報を受信する場合に比べて、Discovery関連情報を確実に受信することができる。
 また、本変形例2では、eNB200-2は、Discovery関連情報をセル識別情報と共に送信する。これにより、UE100-1は、受信したセル識別情報に基づいて、UE100-2が近傍に存在すると判断した場合に、セル識別情報と共に送信されたDiscovery関連情報を用いてDiscovery信号の送信を開始することが可能となる。
 本変形例3では、eNB200-2は、UE100-1からDiscovery関連情報の要求があった場合に、Discovery関連情報を送信する。これにより、eNB200-2は、必要な場合にのみDiscovery関連情報を送信すればよいため、eNB200-2の負荷を低減させることができる。
 [第2実施形態]
 (第2実施形態に係る移動通信システムの動作)
 次に、第2実施形態に係る移動通信システムの動作について、図12及び図13を用いて説明する。なお、上述した第1実施形態及び各変形例と異なる部分を中心に説明し、同様の部分は、説明を適宜省略する。
 図12A及び図12Bは、第2実施形態に係るUE100-1及びUE100-2の動作例を示す図である。具体的には、図12Aは、UE100-1が移動する前の状態を示す図であり、図12Bは、UE100-1が移動した後の状態を示す図である。
 図12Aに示すように、UE100-1及びUE100-2は、第1実施形態と同様に、eNB200-1及びeNB200-2を介して通信(いわゆるセルラ通信)を行っている。
 本実施形態では、図12Aに示すように、UE100-1が、図12A及び図12Bに示すように、セル250-2の方向へ移動したUE100-1がセル250-2にハンドオーバを実行した後に、セル250-2に接続するUE100-2がUE100-1に対してDiscovery信号を送信したと仮定して説明する。
 図13は、第2実施形態に係る移動通信システムの動作例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図13において、ステップ501は、第1実施形態のステップ101に対応する(図8参照)。
 図13に示すように、ステップ502において、eNB200-2は、UE100-2にセル識別情報を送信する。
 ステップ503において、eNB200-2は、UE100-2にDiscovery関連情報を送信する。UE100-2は、Discovery関連情報を受信する。
 ステップ504は、第1実施形態のステップ104に対応する(図8参照)。
 ステップ505において、eNB200-1及びeNB200-2は、UE100-1がハンドオーバを実行したことをトリガーとして、通信端末情報を交換する。eNB200-1及びeNB200-2は、受信した通信端末情報を基に、それぞれが有する通信端末リストを更新する。
 ステップ506において、eNB200-2は、UE100-2にセル識別情報を送信する。eNB200-2は、UE100-1がハンドオーバを実行した場合に、セル識別情報をUE100-2に送信する。すなわち、eNB200-2は、UE100-2の通信相手であるUE100-1の接続先が変更した場合に、セル識別情報をUE100-2に送信する。
 ステップ507において、UE100-2は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かの判断を行う。この判断は、第1実施形態のステップ105と同様である(図8参照)。
 UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在しないと判断した場合(ステップ507において、「No」の場合)には、UE100-2は、Discovery信号の送信を行わない。
 一方、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断した場合(ステップ105において、「Yes」の場合)には、ステップ508において、UE100-2は、Discovery信号の送信を開始する。
 (第2実施形態の変形例)
 次に、第2実施形態の変形例に係る移動通信システムの動作について、図14を用いて説明する。なお、上述した第1及び第2実施形態及び各変形例と異なる部分を中心に説明し、同様の部分は、説明を適宜省略する。
 上述した第2実施形態では、eNB200-2は、セル識別情報をUE100-2に送信した。本変形例では、eNB200-2は、セル識別情報の他に、通信相手であるUE100-1がハンドオーバを実行したことを示す情報をUE100-2に送信する。
 図14は、第2実施形態の変形例に係る移動通信システムの動作例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図14において、ステップ601、602及び603は、それぞれ第2実施形態のステップ501、502及び504に対応する(図13参照)。
 図14に示すように、ステップ604において、eNB200-2は、相手端末HO情報及びDiscovery関連情報をUE100-2に送信する。UE100-2は、相手端末HO情報及びDiscovery関連情報を受信する。
 ここで、相手端末HO情報とは、UE100-2の通信相手であるUE100-1がハンドオーバを実行したことを示す情報である。
 相手端末HO情報を受信したUE100-2は、UE100-1がセル250-1に接続していないことを認識できるため、UE100-2がセル250-1へ移動したとしてもDiscovery信号の送信を開始せずに済む。
 なお、eNB200-2は、相手端末HO情報とDiscovery関連情報とを別々に送信してもよい。
 ステップ605から607は、それぞれ第2実施形態のステップ506から508に対応する(図13参照)。
 (第2実施形態のまとめ)
 本実施形態では、eNB200-2は、UE100-1がハンドオーバを実行した場合に、セル識別情報をUE100-2に送信する。これにより、UE100-2は、UE100-1の接続先が変更したと判断できるため、UE100-1がハンドオーバを実行する前のセル識別情報に基づいて、UE100-2とUE100-1とが近傍に存在しているという誤った判断をすることがなくなる。従って、UE100-2は、無駄なDiscovery信号を送信せずに済み、UE100-2は、Discovery信号を適切なタイミングで送信できる。
 また、本変形例では、eNB200-2は、UE100-1がハンドオーバを実行した場合に、相手端末HO情報をUE100-2に送信する。これにより、上述の第2実施形態と同様に、UE100-2は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在しているという誤った判断をすることがなくなる。
 [第3実施形態]
 (第3実施形態に係る移動通信システムの動作)
 次に、第3実施形態に係る移動通信システムの動作について、図15を用いて説明する。なお、上述した第1及び第2実施形態及び各変形例と異なる部分を中心に説明し、同様の部分は、説明を適宜省略する。
 第1及び2実施形態では、UE100-1又はUE100-2がUE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かの判断を行った。本実施形態では、eNB200-2がUE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かの判断を行う。
 本実施形態では、第2実施形態と同様に、UE100-1がセル250-2の方向へ移動し、eNB200-2にハンドオーバを実行した後に、UE100-2がDiscovery信号を送信したと仮定して説明する(図12A及び図12B参照)。
 図15は、第3実施形態に係る移動通信システムの動作例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図15において、ステップ701及び702は、それぞれ第2実施形態のステップ501及び504に対応する(図13参照)。
 図15に示すように、ステップ703において、eNB200-2は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かの判断を行う。本実施形態において、eNB200-2は、UE100-1の接続セルとUE100-2の接続セルとが同一である場合、すなわち、自セルであるセル250-2にUE100-1及びUE100-2が接続する場合に、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断する。eNB200-2は、通信管理リストに基づいて、UE100-1が接続するセルとUE100-2が接続するセルとが同一であるか否かを判断する。
 eNB200-2は、UE100-1及びUE100-2がセル250-2に接続していないと判断した場合、すなわち、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在しないと判断した場合(ステップ703において、「No」の場合)には、UE100-2にDiscovery信号に関する情報を送信しない。eNB200-2は、UE100-2にDiscovery信号を送信させない。
 一方、eNB200-2は、UE100-1及びUE100-2がセル250-2に接続していると判断した場合、すなわち、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断した場合(ステップ703において、「Yes」の場合)には、ステップ704の処理を実行する。
 ステップ704において、eNB200-2は、同一セル情報及びDiscovery関連情報をUE100-2に送信する。UE100-2は、同一セル情報及びDiscovery関連情報を受信する。
 ここで、同一セル情報とは、UE100-1の接続セルとUE100-2の接続セルとが同一であることを示す情報である。同一セル情報は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在することを示す情報として、eNB200-2から送信される。
 なお、同一セル情報を受信したUE100-2は、UE100-1の接続セルとUE100-2の接続セルとが同一であるか否かを判断する必要がないため、同一セル情報には、接続セルを示す識別子が含まれなくても良い。
 ステップ705において、同一セル情報を受信したUE100-2は、Discovery信号を送信する。すなわち、UE100-2は、同一セル情報に基づいて、Discovery信号の送信を開始する。
 (第3実施形態の変形例)
 次に、第3実施形態の変形例に係る移動通信システムの動作について、図16を用いて説明する。なお、上述した第1から第3実施形態及び各変形例と異なる部分を中心に説明し、同様の部分は、説明を適宜省略する。
 上述した第3実施形態では、eNB200-2は、同一セル情報をUE100-2に送信した。本変形例では、eNB200-2は、同一セル情報の代わりに、Discovery信号を送信させるための要求をUE100-2に送信する。
 図16は、第3実施形態の変形例に係る移動通信システムの動作例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図16において、ステップ801から803は、それぞれ第3実施形態のステップ701から703に対応する(図15参照)。
 図16に示すように、ステップ804において、eNB200-2は、Discovery要求及びDiscovery関連情報をUE100-2に送信する。
 ここで、Discovery要求とは、eNB200が、UE100に対して、Discovery信号を送信させるための要求(指示)である。
 ステップ805において、Discovery要求を受信したUE100-2は、Discovery信号を送信する。すなわち、UE100-2は、Discovery要求に基づいて、Discovery信号の送信を開始する。
 (第3実施形態のまとめ)
 本実施形態及び変形例では、eNB200-2は、UE100-2とUE100-1とが近傍に存在した場合に、同一セル情報又はDiscovery要求をUE100-2に送信し、UE100-2は、同一セル情報又はDiscovery要求に基づいて、Discovery信号の送信を開始する。これにより、eNB200-2は、Discovery信号の送信タイミングを制御することができる。
 [その他の実施形態]
 上記のように、本発明は実施形態によって記載したが、この開示の一部をなす論述及び図面はこの発明を限定するものであると理解すべきではない。この開示から当業者には様々な代替実施形態、実施例及び運用技術が明らかとなる。
 上述した実施形態では、eNB200は、1つのセル250しか管理していなかったが、これに限られない。例えば、eNB200-1は、複数のセル250を管理していてもよい。この場合、eNB200-1は、セル250毎の複数の通信端末リスト及び隣接セルリストを有する。eNB200-1が管理する一のセル250にUE100-1が接続し、eNB200-1が管理する他のセル250にUE100-2が接続する場合であっても、上述した実施形態と同様に、UE100-1又はUE100-2の移動によって、UE100-1とUE100-2とが同一のセル250に存在すると判断された場合、UE100-1は、Discovery信号を送信してもよい。
 また、上述した実施形態では、UE100又はeNB200が、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在するか否かを判断していたが、これに限られない。例えば、eNB200の上位装置であるMME/S-GW300が当該判断を行ってもよい。この場合、MME/S-GW300は、通信端末リスト及び隣接セルリストを有し、通信端末リスト及び隣接セルリストに基づいて、当該判断を行う。MME/S-GW300は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断した場合には、UE100-1及びUE100-2が接続するセル250を管理するeNB200に対して、UE100-1又はUE100-2にDiscovery信号を送信させるように指示する。指示を受けたeNB200は、第3実施形態と同様に、UE100-1又はUE100-2に、同一セル情報又はDiscovery要求を送信する。
 また、上述した実施形態では、UE100-1とUE100-2とが同一のセルに存在する場合に、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断されていたが、これに限られない。例えば、UE100-1の位置情報とUE100-2の位置情報とからUE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断されてもよい。
 また、上述した実施形態では、UE100-1又はUE100-2の一方にセル識別情報を送信していたが、これに限られない。例えば、UE100-1及びUE100-2が同一のセルに存在する場合には、当該セルを管理するeNB200は、UE100-1及びUE100-2にセル識別情報を送信してもよい。このため、eNB200は、同一のセル250にUE100どうしを存在させるために、UE100にセル間周波数間ハンドオーバ(inter-cell inter-frequency HO)を実行させてもよいし、セル間周波数内ハンドオーバ(inter-cell intra-frequency HO)をさせた後に、セル内周波数間ハンドオーバ(intra-cell inter-frequency HO)を実行させてもよい。この場合、eNB200は、UE100から送信されるMeasurement Reportの結果に基づいて、これらのハンドオーバの実行を要求してもよい。
 また、上述した実施形態において、UE100は、Discovery信号を送信するタイミングとeNB200にデータを送信するタイミングとが重なった場合に、eNB200にデータを優先的に送信してもよい。すなわち、UE100は、eNB200にデータを送信した後に、Discovery信号を送信してもよい。これにより、Discovery信号の送信と、eNB200へのデータ送信とが同時にできないUE100であっても、eNB200にデータを優先的に送信させることができるため、他のUE100との通信を妨げずに、Discovery信号を送信できる。
 UE100は、eNB200にデータを優先的に送信した場合には、eNB200にDiscovery関連情報要求してもよい。これにより、UE100は、最新のDiscovery関連情報に基づいて、Discovery信号を送信できるため、Discovery信号がUE100の近傍に存在する他のUE100への干渉信号となることを抑制できる。
 また、eNB200は、自セルにおいて、Discovery信号の送信に用いることが可能な無線リソースを示す情報をX2インターフェイス又はS1インターフェイスを介して隣接セルを管理するeNB200に送信してもよい。また、eNB200は、隣接セルを管理する他のeNB200に対して、隣接セルにおいてDiscovery信号の送信に用いることが可能な無線リソースを示す情報をeNB200に送信するように要求してもよい。これにより、eNB200は、自セルだけでなく隣接セルにおいて、Discovery信号を送信に用いることが可能な無線リソースを示す情報をDiscovery関連情報に含ませて、UE100に送信可能であるため、隣接セルにおいて、Discovery信号がUE100の近傍に存在する他のUE100への干渉信号となることを抑制できる。なお、無線リソースだけなく、Discovery関連情報に含める送信電力等の他の情報をeNB200と他のeNB200とは、交換してもよい。
 また、eNB200は、隣接セルリストに記載された隣接セルを管理する他のeNB200と、X2インターフェイス又はS1インターフェイスを介して、定期的又は不定期に記録された通信端末情報を交換し、通信端末リストを更新してもよい。例えば、eNB200は、自セルのUE100がハンドオーバを実行した場合に、通信端末情報を交換し、通信端末リストを更新してもよい。
 また、eNB200が他のeNB200のセルの範囲内に設置されている場合、eNB200が管理するセルに接続するUE100がeNB200と通信する際に必要な送信電力よりもDiscovery信号の送信電力の方が小さくなるように、Discovery信号の送信電力が決定されてもよい。
 また、上述した第2実施形態において、eNB200は、他のUE100がハンドオーバを実行した場合に、相手端末HO情報を自セルのUE100に送信してからセル識別情報を送信したが、eNB200は、相手端末HO情報とともに、セル識別情報を送信してもよい。なお、eNB200は、他のUE100が隣接セルリストに記録されていないセルにハンドオーバを実行した場合には、他のUE100が隣接セルに存在しないことを示す情報を自セルのUE100に送信してもよい。
 また、上述した第3実施形態において、eNB200-2は、UE100-2にセル識別情報、相手端末HO情報又は同一セル情報を送信して、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在することをUE100-2に知らせていたが、これに限られない。例えば、eNB200-2は、Discovery関連情報を送信することによりUE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在することをUE100-2に知らせてもよい。具体的には、eNB200-2は、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断した場合、近傍に存在すると判断されたUE100-2(又は/及びUE100-1)にのみ、Discovery関連情報を送信してもよい。この場合、eNB200-2は、Discovery関連情報をブロードキャストで送信しない。Discovery関連情報を受信したUE100-2は、Discovery関連情報を受信したことによって、UE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在すると判断できる。従って、UE100-2は、Discovery関連情報を受信したことをトリガーとして、Discovery信号の送信を開始できる。これにより、eNB200-2は、Discovery関連情報以外のUE100-1とUE100-2とが近傍に存在することを示す情報を送信することを省略できる。
 上述した実施形態及び変形例は、適宜組み合わせてもよい。例えば、eNB200が通信中のUE100どうしが近傍に存在すると判断した場合に、UE100にセル識別情報を送信し、UE100は、セル識別情報に基づいて、セルから送信される参照信号の受信レベルが所定の閾値に達した場合に、Discovery信号を送信してもよい。
 なお、上述した実施形態及び変形例では、特に言及していないがLocally Routedモード(局所中継モード)の場合においても、上述した実施形態又は変形例のいずれかと同様のトリガーでD2D通信の送信を開始できる。この場合、UE100は、Discovery信号の送受信を行う必要がない。
 また、上述した実施形態及び変形例では、特に言及していないが、Discovery信号を受信するUE100は、Discovery信号が送信されるタイミングをeNB200から通知されてもよい。
 上述した実施形態では、本発明をLTEシステムに適用する一例を説明したが、LTEシステムに限定されるものではなく、LTEシステム以外のシステムに本発明を適用してもよい。
 なお、米国仮出願第61/748300号(2013年1月2日出願)の全内容が、参照により、本願明細書に組み込まれている。
 以上のように、本発明に係る移動通信システム、ユーザ端末、基地局及びプロセッサは、適切なタイミングで発見用信号を送信できるため、移動通信分野において有用である。

Claims (18)

  1.  セルを管理する基地局と、前記セルに接続可能なユーザ端末と、前記ユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信できる他のユーザ端末と、を有し、直接的な端末間通信であるD2D通信をサポートする移動通信システムであって、
     前記ユーザ端末が前記セルに隣接する隣接セルに接続する前記他のユーザ端末と通信を行っている間に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在すると判断された場合には、前記ユーザ端末は、前記D2D通信のための発見用信号の送信を開始することを特徴とする移動通信システム。
  2.  前記基地局は、前記他のユーザ端末が接続する接続セルを示すセル識別情報を前記ユーザ端末に送信し、
     前記ユーザ端末は、前記セル識別情報に基づいて、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在するか否かを判断することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  3.  前記ユーザ端末は、前記他のユーザ端末が接続する前記接続セルにハンドオーバを実行した場合に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在すると判断することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の移動通信システム。
  4.  前記ユーザ端末は、前記接続セルから送信される参照信号の受信レベルが所定の閾値に達した場合に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在すると判断することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の移動通信システム。
  5.  前記所定の閾値は、前記参照信号の受信レベルに関する測定値を前記基地局に報告するトリガーとなる閾値であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の移動通信システム。
  6.  前記所定の閾値は、前記基地局が指定した閾値であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の移動通信システム。
  7.  前記基地局は、前記発見用信号を送信する際に用いられる無線リソースの情報及び/又は送信電力の情報を含む関連情報を前記ユーザ端末に送信し、
     前記ユーザ端末は、前記関連情報に対応した前記発見用信号を送信することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  8.  前記隣接セルは、前記基地局に隣接する隣接基地局によって管理され、
     前記隣接基地局は、前記ユーザ端末が前記隣接セルにハンドオーバを実行した場合に、前記発見用信号を送信する際に用いられる無線リソースの情報及び/又は送信電力の情報を含む関連情報を前記ユーザ端末に送信することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  9.  前記基地局は、前記関連情報を前記セル識別情報と共に送信することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の移動通信システム。
  10.  前記基地局は、前記ユーザ端末から前記関連情報の要求があった場合に、前記関連情報を送信することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の移動通信システム。
  11.  前記基地局は、前記他のユーザ端末がハンドオーバを実行した場合に、前記セル識別情報を前記ユーザ端末に送信することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の移動通信システム。
  12.  前記基地局は、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在した場合に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在することを示す情報又は前記発見用信号を送信させるための要求を前記ユーザ端末に送信し、
     前記ユーザ端末は、前記情報又は前記要求に基づいて、前記D2D通信のための発見用信号の送信を開始することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  13.  前記ユーザ端末は、前記発見用信号を送信するタイミングと前記基地局にデータを送信するタイミングとが重なった場合に、前記基地局に前記データを優先的に送信することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  14.  セルを管理する基地局と、前記セルに接続可能なユーザ端末と、前記ユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信できる他のユーザ端末と、を有し、直接的な端末間通信であるD2D通信をサポートする移動通信システムにおける前記ユーザ端末であって、
     前記セルに隣接する隣接セルに接続する前記他のユーザ端末と通信を行っている間に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在すると判断された場合には、前記D2D通信のための発見用信号の送信を開始する制御部を有することを特徴とするユーザ端末。
  15.  セルを管理する基地局と、前記セルに接続可能なユーザ端末と、前記ユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信できる他のユーザ端末と、を有し、直接的な端末間通信であるD2D通信をサポートする移動通信システムにおける前記基地局であって、
     前記ユーザ端末が前記セルに隣接する隣接セルに接続する前記他のユーザ端末と通信を行っている間に、前記他のユーザ端末と接続する接続セルに関連する接続セル情報又は前記D2D通信のための発見用信号を送信させるための要求を前記ユーザ端末に送信する制御部を有し、
     前記接続セル情報及び前記要求は、前記ユーザ端末が前記発見用信号を送信するために用いられることを特徴とする基地局。
  16.  前記接続セル情報は、前記接続セルを示すセル識別情報又は/及び前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在することを示す情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の基地局。
  17.  セルを管理する基地局と、前記セルに接続可能なユーザ端末と、前記ユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信できる他のユーザ端末と、を有し、直接的な端末間通信であるD2D通信をサポートする移動通信システムにおける前記ユーザ端末に備えられるプロセッサであって、
     前記ユーザ端末が前記セルに隣接する隣接セルに接続する前記他のユーザ端末と通信を行っている間に、前記ユーザ端末と前記他のユーザ端末とが近傍に存在すると判断された場合には、前記D2D通信のための発見用信号を送信する処理を開始することを特徴とするプロセッサ。
  18.  セルを管理する基地局と、前記セルに接続可能なユーザ端末と、前記ユーザ端末と前記基地局を介して通信できる他のユーザ端末と、を有し、直接的な端末間通信であるD2D通信をサポートする移動通信システムにおける前記基地局に備えられるプロセッサであって、
     前記ユーザ端末が前記セルに隣接する隣接セルに接続する前記他のユーザ端末と通信を行っている間に、前記他のユーザ端末と接続する接続セルに関連する接続セル情報又は前記D2D通信のための発見用信号を送信させるための要求を前記ユーザ端末に送信する処理を実行し、
     前記接続セル情報及び前記要求は、前記ユーザ端末が前記発見用信号を送信するために用いられることを特徴とするプロセッサ。
