Definitions
- the present invention relates to a protective helmet, comprising a helmet shell and a head circumference band, which serves to rest against the head of a user, wherein the head band relative to the longitudinal direction of the protective helmet at a front location, at a rear location and on each side of the helmet is fastened in each case at least at one point via fastening means on the inside of the helmet shell.
- a protective helmet comprising a helmet shell and a head circumference band, which serves to rest against the head of a user, wherein the head band relative to the longitudinal direction of the protective helmet at a front location, at a rear location and on each side of the helmet is fastened in each case at least at one point via fastening means on the inside of the helmet shell.
- the human head is individually very different in terms of the head shape, that is, the head circumference, the head width and the head height
- protective helmets generally have systems that consider the head circumference as well as the head height in the setting. This serves to generate a comfortable fit of the safety helmet on the head and to ensure
- the protective helmet In order to fully ensure the protective function of a safety helmet, the protective helmet must be adapted with regard to the shape of the head. By adjusting a firm fit of the helmet is achieved with the associated correct position of the head in the helmet. With protective helmets there are possibilities of adjustment for the head circumference and the head height. If you look at the head from the top, head shapes can be approximated by ellipse geometries or circle geometries, see figures 6d and 6e. In reality, however, head contours are often characterized by sink marks and expressions of any kind and at any place. Due to the existing adaptation systems, only the already mentioned simple geometries are displayed or set.
- a continuous system of the head circumference band or a head circumference band formed as a head restraint ring is thus not guaranteed to the full extent. It is therefore an object of the present invention to remedy the disadvantages described above in a protective helmet at least partially. In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide a protective helmet with at least one helmet shell and a head circumference band, which ensures a high wearing comfort and high safety in a cost-effective and simple manner.
- a protective helmet comprising a helmet shell and a head circumference band, which serves to rest against the head of a user.
- the head circumference is relative to the longitudinal direction of the helmet at a front location and on each side of the helmet each secured at least at one point via fastening means on the inside of the helmet shell.
- the protective helmet is characterized in that at least arranged at the lateral locations fastening means are designed such that the distance between the head circumference band and the helmet shell at at least one of the lateral locations, in particular individually, is adjustable.
- "front" means that the fastening of the head circumference band is provided in the region of the front head side.
- the front location preferably lies in the region of the longitudinal axis of the protective helmet.
- the front part can also mean that the attachment is provided in the region of the visor or in an area of the protective helmet which is assigned to the forehead of the user.
- Attachment to each side of the protective helmet means that at least one attachment is provided on one side of the protective helmet associated with the left side of the head of a user, and attachment is provided on one side of the protective helmet associated with the right side of the head of a user. If the head circumference band is fastened to the inside of the helmet shell at a front location and at a lateral location via fastening means, then the lateral location preferably lies in the rear region of the protective helmet, that is to say in the region of the occiput of a user.
- Such a trained safety helmet allows by an improved adaptation of the head circumference strap to the head of a user a high level of comfort and thus ensures high security.
- Improved placement of the head circumference band on a user's head prevents rotation about the user's vertical body axis and tilting about the horizontal axes. Due to the flexible fastening means, the distance between the head circumference band and the helmet shell can be adjusted for each position. As a result, a user of the protective helmet can adjust the head circumference band to its specific head shape, so that the protective helmet rests securely against the user's head. Through a variable combination of settings different head geometries can be easily understood.
- the fastenings of the head circumference band are provided in the area of the front head side, preferably in the region of the longitudinal axis of the protective helmet, on each side of the protective helmet and in the rear area of the protective helmet, preferably also in the region of the longitudinal axis of the protective helmet.
- the rear position may be formed such that the distance between the head circumference band and the helmet shell at the rear position is adjustable.
- One or more attachment means can not be designed to be adjustable.

This can be done at any point between the head circumference band and the inside of the helmet shell, so that can be adjusted by the choice of the length of the rigidly formed fastening means, the distance between the head circumference band and the inside of the helmet shell.
- Such trained rigid fasteners are therefore a kind of pressure rods.
- the rigid fastening means are fixed immovably to the inside of the helmet shell and the head circumference band. This prevents the distance between the head circumference band and the helmet shell from changing during wear of the protective helmet.
- the distance can be set at a location between the inside of the helmet shell and the head circumference band fixed.
- the distance can be varied by using a shorter or longer fastener.
- the circumference of the head circumference band is first adjusted to the circumference of the head. This can be done in particular by an externally accessible rotating means at the rear of the helmet. Subsequently, by appropriate selection of the rigidly formed fastening means at the correspondingly provided points, the distance of the head circumference strip to the inside of the helmet shell can be adjusted.
- the rigid fastening means are thereby fixed both on the head circumference band and on the inside of the helmet shell. This can be done in different ways.
- the attachment can be done in particular non-positively. It is also conceivable that as an alternative or in addition to a non-positive fastening of the fastening means on the head circumference band and on the helmet shell, a positive fastening is provided.
- the fasteners are releasably secured so that their replacement can be easily ensured.
- the rigid fastening means can also be designed as stud bolts, set screws or clamping screws.

Description
Schutzhelm
B e s c h r e i b u n g
