Abstract

L'invention concerne une adaptation sensible à l'énergie pour un système de diffusion vidéo en flux sensible à l'énergie qui peut être fondée sur les informations de complexité acheminées de différentes manières. Un niveau de complexité d'un flux de données, tel qu'un flux de données vidéo, peut être sélectionné en fonction d'une énergie de batterie restante d'une unité d'émission/réception sans fil (WTRU) et d'un ensemble d'états parmi une pluralité d'ensembles d'états qui peuvent être stockés et/ou gérés par la WTRU. Ces ensembles d'états peuvent correspondre, par exemple, à différentes sources de contenu et/ou à différents algorithmes d'estimation de complexité et peuvent être utilisés pour sélectionner le niveau de complexité du flux de données. Le flux de données peut ensuite être reçu au niveau de complexité sélectionné. Le niveau de complexité et/ou un débit binaire du flux de données peuvent être adaptés, par exemple, à l'énergie de batterie restante et/ou à d'autres circonstances. L'adaptation peut être personnalisée selon les objectifs de scénarios d'utilisation.
