Abstract

L'invention porte sur une machine à colonne (1) et sur un procédé de commande de celle-ci, la machine à colonne étant montée debout sur un pont (10), le pont (10) comportant au moins une crémaillère (7), au moins un couvercle de protection (6) relié à la crémaillère (7) et au moins des premier et second rails (3a, 3b), la machine à colonne (1) comportant un chariot supérieur (9) relié à au moins un dispositif mobile supérieur (13, 14a, 14b) et, en outre, un chariot inférieur (2), le chariot inférieur (2) comportant au moins deux voies (16a, 16b) destinées à coopérer avec les premier et second rails (3a, 3b), et au moins une roue motrice (4) destinée à se déplacer le long de la ou des crémaillères (7), la ou les roues motrices (4) étant agencées sensiblement dans le plan vertical de la machine à colonne (1) et s'étendant parallèlement à la direction longitudinale des premier et second rails (3a, 3b), le chariot inférieur (2) comportant en outre un support de protection (5), ledit support de protection (5) découvrant la crémaillère (7) dans une région proche de la ou des roues motrices (4), tandis que les autres régions de la crémaillère (7) sont recouvertes par le couvercle de protection (6), une colonne (12) étant agencée entre les chariots supérieur et inférieur (9, 2).
