Description

一対のコンタクトレンズ、コンタクトレンズおよび記憶媒体
 本開示は、一対のコンタクトレンズ、コンタクトレンズおよび記憶媒体に関する。
 近年、視覚補正装置として眼球に直接装着するコンタクトレンズが実用的に用いられている。また、コンタクトレンズは、視覚補正の他、眼の外観を変更するためにも使用され、この場合レンズには着色が施される。
 色付きのコンタクトレンズ(カラーコンタクトレンズ)は近年多く使用され、通常、ユーザは、実際にカラーコンタクトレンズを試着した上で、眼の外観を確認し、どのレンズの色が自分に似合うかを判断している。ここで、下記特許文献1では、試着用のコンタクトレンズの経済的、物質的無駄を削減するために、カラーコンタクトレンズをユーザが装着した場合の外観をシミュレーションして提示するシステムが開示されている。
 さらに昨今、コンタクトレンズを用いた画像表示装置として下記特許文献2が開示されている。特許文献2では、曲面上に表示部とレンズアレイ部が一体化して設けられ、コンタクトレンズのように全体として眼に装着可能な形状とされた薄型化画像表示装置が提案されている。

 しかしながら、上記特許文献1、2では、両目の眼球にそれぞれ装着される一対のコンタクトレンズが互いに連携して動作する構成については何ら言及されていない。
 そこで、本開示では、一対のコンタクトレンズが互いに連携して動作することが可能な、新規かつ改良された一対のコンタクトレンズ、コンタクトレンズ、および記憶媒体を提案する。
 本開示によれば、両目の各眼球に装着される一対のレンズ部と、前記一対のレンズ部のうち一方の前記レンズ部に設けられる第1の機能部と、他方の前記レンズ部に設けられる前記第1の機能部の機能と異なる機能を有する第2の機能部と、を備える、一対のコンタクトレンズを提案する。

  <<1.本開示の一実施形態によるコンタクトレンズの概要>>

 上述したように、近年、視覚補正のための度入りコンタクトレンズや、眼の外観を変えるためのカラーコンタクトレンズを装着しているユーザが増加している。また、このような日常的に使用するコンタクトレンズの高機能化も提案されている。
 しかしながら、両目に装着される一対のコンタクトレンズが互いに連携して動作する点については何ら提案されていなかった。
 そこで、上記事情を一着眼点にして本開示の各実施形態による高機能コンタクトレンズを創作するに至った。本開示の各実施形態によるコンタクトレンズは、他方の眼に装着されている異なる機能を有するコンタクトレンズと連携して動作することにより、コンタクトレンズをインテリジェント化させ、利便性を格段に向上させることができる。
 このような本実施形態によるコンタクトレンズの基本的な構成について、以下、図2を参照して具体的に説明する。
  <1-1.外観構成>

 センサ27は、コンタクトレンズ1の外界(周辺)情報を検知するため各種センサであって、例えば圧電センサ(圧力センサの一例)、赤外線センサ、または加速度センサ等により実現される。また、本実施形態によるセンサ27は、カメラ起動コマンド、撮像コマンド、およびカメラ終了コマンドの検出に用いられる。センサ27は、検知結果を制御部21L-1に出力する。
 (制御部21L-1)
 制御部21L-1は、センサ27の検知結果に基づいて各種コマンドを検出し、検出した各種コマンドに応じて、コンタクトレンズ1L-1の各構成を制御する。また、制御部21L-1は、コンタクトレンズ1L-1とコンタクトレンズ1R-1が連携して動作するよう制御する。より具体的には、例えば制御部21L-1は、撮像部24により撮像された撮像画像を、他方のコンタクトレンズ1R-1に設けられる表示部26に表示するよう制御する。
 以上、本実施形態によるコンタクトレンズ1L-1の構成について具体的に説明した。一方、コンタクトレンズ1R-1は、図3に示すように、制御部21R-1、無線通信処理部22、アンテナ23および機能部30R-1を有する。機能部30R-1は、表示部26を含む。
 (表示部26)
 表示部26には、複数の表示素子(不図示)が配置される。各表示素子は、例えば、液晶表示装置や有機EL(Electroluminescence)表示装置、FED(Field Emission Display)表示装置などにより構成される。各表示素子は、人間の眼(コンタクトレンズ1が装着されるのが他の動物である場合にはその動物の眼)の表面に対応する1つの曲面(例えば略球状の曲面)上に、マトリックス状に配置される。また、各表示素子は、それぞれが表示領域を有しており、それぞれが独立した画像を表示してもよいし、全体で1つの画像を表示してもよい。
 表示領域は円1C内の領域1A(図1参照)の全体にわたって配置される。これにより、円1Cの直径D2は瞳(瞳孔)3の最大の直径(虹彩2の内側の円2Aの最大時の直径)D1と等しいか、それより大きい値に設定されるので、虹彩2の内側の円2Aの直径の値に拘わらず、常に瞳3の全体にわたって表示領域が存在することになる。したがって、より多くの表示領域の画像の光が確実に眼球の網膜上に結像する。なお、この実施形態の場合、円1Cの直径D2は、虹彩2の外側の円2Bの直径D3より小さい値とされているが、大きくてもよい。
 また、表示素子は、人により全体として1つの画像が認識できる程度のピッチで(画像が局部的に欠落しない程度に)密に配置されている。
 また、表示部26は、画像を表示していない状態のとき、外部の光を透過するので、ユーザは外部の画像(実空間の景色)を視認することができる。
 (制御部21R-1)
 制御部21R-1は、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1L-1から送信された撮像画像を、表示部26に表示するよう制御する。
 以上、コンタクトレンズ1L-1およびコンタクトレンズ1R-1の構成について具体的に説明した。上記構成により、左眼4Lに装着しているコンタクトレンズ1L-1で撮像した撮像画像を、右眼4Rに装着しているコンタクトレンズ1R-1で表示することができる。
  (2-1-2.動作処理)
 続いて、第1の実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100の動作処理について図4を参照して説明する。図4は、第1の実施形態による連携処理の一例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図4に示すように、まず、ステップS103において、コンタクトレンズ1L-1のセンサ27がONにされる。具体的には、例えばコンタクトレンズ1L-1に電力の供給がある場合や、所定のトリガ信号を外部(ユーザが所持するスマートフォンやタブレット端末等の外部通信端末)から受信した場合、センサ27の電源が入る。電源がONされたセンサ27は、検知結果を制御部21L-1に出力する。
 次いで、ステップS106において、制御部21L-1は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて、カメラ起動コマンドを検出する。具体的には、例えば圧電センサ(センサ27の一例)によりコンタクトレンズ1L-1に接する瞼の開閉が検出される場合、制御部21L-1は、瞼が2回閉じたことを、「カメラ起動コマンド」として検出してもよい。
 続いて、ステップS109において、制御部21L-1は、「カメラ起動コマンド」を検出すると、撮像部24を起動する。
 次に、ステップS112において、制御部21L-1は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて、撮像コマンド(シャッターコマンド)を検出する。具体的には、例えばコンタクトレンズ1L-1に接する瞼が意識的に閉瞼された場合(例えば0.5秒以上閉瞼した場合)、制御部21L-1は、「撮像コマンド」として検出する。
 次いで、ステップS115において、制御部21L-1は、「撮像コマンド」を検出すると、撮像部24により被写体の撮像を行う。
 次に、ステップS118において、制御部21L-1は、撮像部24により撮像した撮像画像を、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介して、コンタクトレンズ1R-1に送信する。
 次いで、ステップS121において、コンタクトレンズ1R-1の制御部21R-1は、コンタクトレンズ1L-1から撮像画像を受信すると、表示部26をONする。
 続いて、ステップS124において、制御部21R-1は、コンタクトレンズ1L-1から受信した撮像画像を表示部26に表示するよう制御する。これにより、ユーザは、一方のコンタクトレンズ1L-1で撮像した撮像画像を、他方のコンタクトレンズ1R-1で見ることができる。
 次いで、ステップS127において、制御部21R-1は、表示部26をOFFする。表示部26をOFFするタイミングは、撮像画像を表示してから所定時間経過したタイミングであってもよいし、「表示部終了コマンド」が検出されたタイミングであってもよい。「表示部終了コマンド」は、コンタクトレンズ1L-1から送信されてもよいし、コンタクトレンズ1R-1にセンサ27が設けられている場合は当該センサ27による検知結果に基づいて検出されてもよい。
 一方、ステップS130において、コンタクトレンズ1L-1の制御部21L-1は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて、「カメラ終了コマンド」を検出する。具体的には、例えばコンタクトレンズ1L-1に接する瞼が意識的に3回閉じられた場合、制御部21L-1は、「カメラ終了コマンド」として検出する。
 そして、ステップS133において、制御部21L-1は、「カメラ終了コマンド」を検出すると、撮像部24をOFFする。
 以上、第1の実施形態による連携動作について具体的に説明した。本実施形態によれば、一対のコンタクトレンズ100で、撮像機能と表示機能の連携動作を実現することができる。
  <2-2.第2の実施形態>
 次に、一方のコンタクトレンズ1が撮像機能を有し、他方のコンタクトレンズ1が照明機能を有する第2の実施形態による連携動作について、図5~図6を参照して説明する。
  (2-2-1.構成)
 図5は、第2の実施形態による右眼4Rに装着されるコンタクトレンズ1R-2の構成を示すブロック図である。なお、本実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100は、左眼4Lに装着されるコンタクトレンズ1L-2と右眼4Rに装着されるコンタクトレンズ1R-2により形成される。コンタクトレンズ1L-2の構成は、図3に示すコンタクトレンズ1L-1と同様であるので、ここでの説明は省略する。
 図5に示すように、コンタクトレンズ1R-2は、制御部21R-2、無線通信処理部22、アンテナ23および機能部30R-2を有する。機能部30R-2は、照明部28を含む。
 (照明部28)
 照明部28は、レンズ部10の領域1Bに設けられ、発光部とその発光部を発光させる発光回路から成る。照明部28は、制御部21R-2の制御に応じて、発光動作を実行させる。発光部が、コンタクトレンズ1R-2がユーザの眼球4Aに装着された状態において前方に対して照明を行うものとして取り付けられていることで、照明部28は、コンタクトレンズ1L-2が有する撮像部24の撮像方向(ユーザの視界方向と同様)を照明することができる。
 (制御部21R-2)
 制御部21R-2は、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1L-2から送信されたコマンドに従って、照明部28のON/OFFを制御する。
 以上、コンタクトレンズ1R-2の構成について具体的に説明した。上記構成により、右眼4Rに装着しているコンタクトレンズ1R-2は、左眼4Lに装着しているコンタクトレンズ1L-2と連携して照明制御を行うことができる。
  (2-2-2.動作処理)
 続いて、第2の実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100の動作処理について図6を参照して説明する。図6は、第2の実施形態による連携処理の一例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図6に示すステップS143~ステップS152に示す処理は、図4に示すステップS103~S112に示す処理と同様であるので、ここでの説明は省略する。
 次いで、ステップS155において、制御部21L-1は、「撮像コマンド」(シャッターコマンド)を検出すると、照明ONのコマンドを、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介して、コンタクトレンズ1R-2に送信する。
 次に、ステップS158において、コンタクトレンズ1R-2の制御部21R-2は、コンタクトレンズ1L-2から照明ONコマンドを受信すると、照明部28をONするよう制御する。
 次いで、ステップS161において、コンタクトレンズ1L-2の制御部21L-2は、コンタクトレンズ1R-2の照明部28がONにされている状態で、撮像部24により被写体の撮像を行う。これにより、一方のコンタクトレンズ1L-2において撮像を行う際に、他方のコンタクトレンズ1R-2で撮像方向に対する照明を行う連携動作を実現することができる。撮像部24により撮像された撮像画像は、制御部21L-2に含まれるメモリ領域に記憶されてもよいし、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介して、外部通信端末(ユーザが所持するスマートフォン等)に送信されてもよい。
 次に、ステップS164において、制御部21L-2は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて、「カメラ終了コマンド」を検出する。具体的には、例えばコンタクトレンズ1L-2に接する瞼が意識的に3回閉じられた場合、制御部21L-2は、「カメラ終了コマンド」として検出する。
 次いで、ステップS167において、制御部21L-2は、「カメラ終了コマンド」を検出すると、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介して、照明OFFのコマンドをコンタクトレンズ1R-2に送信する。
 続いて、ステップS170において、コンタクトレンズ1R-2の制御部21R-2は、コンタクトレンズ1L-2から受信した照明OFFコマンドに従って、照明部28をOFFするよう制御する。
 そして、ステップS173において、コンタクトレンズ1L-2の制御部21L-2は、「カメラ終了コマンド」を検出すると、撮像部24をOFFする。
 以上、第2の実施形態による連携動作について具体的に説明した。本実施形態によれば、一対のコンタクトレンズ100で、撮像機能と照明機能の連携動作を実現することができる。
  <2-3.第3の実施形態>
 次に、一方のコンタクトレンズ1がUI機能を有し、他方のコンタクトレンズ1が撮像機能を有する第3の実施形態による連携動作について、図7~図8を参照して説明する。
  (2-3-1.構成)
 図7は、第3の実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100を形成する左眼4Lに装着されるコンタクトレンズ1L-3と、右眼4Rに装着されるコンタクトレンズ1R-3の構成を示すブロック図である。
 図7に示すように、コンタクトレンズ1L-3は、制御部21L-3、無線通信処理部22、アンテナ23および機能部30L-3を有する。機能部30L-3は、センサ27を含む。
 センサ27は、第1の実施形態において図3を参照して説明したので、ここでの詳細な説明は省略する。
 制御部21L-3は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて、カメラ起動コマンド、撮像コマンド、およびカメラ終了コマンドを検出し、検出した各コマンドを、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1R-3に送信する。
 以上、本実施形態によるコンタクトレンズ1L-3の構成について具体的に説明した。図7に示すように、コンタクトレンズ1L-3は、センサ27によりユーザ操作を受け付けるUI(ユーザインタフェース)機能を有する。一方、コンタクトレンズ1R-3は、図7に示すように、制御部21R-3、無線通信処理部22、アンテナ23および機能部30R-3を有する。機能部30R-3は、撮像部24を含む。
 撮像部24は、第1の実施形態において図3を参照して説明したので、ここでの詳細な説明は省略する。
 制御部21R-3は、コンタクトレンズ1L-3から送信される各コマンドに従って、撮像部24による撮像動作を制御する。
 以上、コンタクトレンズ1L-3およびコンタクトレンズ1R-3の構成について具体的に説明した。上記構成により、左眼4Lに装着しているコンタクトレンズ1L-3でユーザ操作(各コマンド)が検出され、検出されたユーザ操作に応じて、右眼4Rに装着しているコンタクトレンズ1R-3が有する撮像部24が制御される。
  (2-3-2.動作処理)
 続いて、第3の実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100の動作処理について図8を参照して説明する。図8は、第3の実施形態による連携処理の一例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図8に示すステップS183、S186は、図4に示すステップS103、S106に示す処理と同様であるので、ここでの説明は省略する。
 次いで、ステップS189において、コンタクトレンズ1L-3の制御部21L-3は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて「カメラ起動コマンド」を検出すると、カメラ起動コマンドを、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1R-3に送信する。
 次に、ステップS192において、コンタクトレンズ1R-3の制御部21R-3は、コンタクトレンズ1L-3から受信したカメラ起動コマンドに従って、撮像部24を起動する。
 次いで、ステップS195において、コンタクトレンズ1L-3の制御部21L-3は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて、撮像コマンド(シャッターコマンド)を検出する。
 次に、ステップS198において、制御部21L-3は、撮像コマンドを、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1R-3に送信する。
 次いで、ステップS201において、コンタクトレンズ1R-3の制御部21R-3は、コンタクトレンズ1L-3から受信した撮像コマンドに従って、撮像部24により被写体の撮像を行うよう制御する。
 続いて、ステップS204において、コンタクトレンズ1L-3の制御部21L-3は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて、「カメラ終了コマンド」を検出する。具体的には、例えばコンタクトレンズ1L-3に接する瞼が意識的に3回閉じられた場合、制御部21L-3は、「カメラ終了コマンド」として検出する。
 次に、ステップS207において、制御部21L-3は、カメラ終了コマンドを、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1R-3に送信する。
 そして、ステップS210において、コンタクトレンズ1R-3の制御部21R-3は、コンタクトレンズ1L-3から受信したカメラ終了コマンドに従って、撮像部24をOFFする。
 以上、第3の実施形態による連携動作について具体的に説明した。本実施形態によれば、一対のコンタクトレンズ100で、UI機能(操作入力機能)と撮像機能の連携動作を実現することができる。
  <2-4.第4の実施形態>
 上述した第3の実施形態では、コンタクトレンズ1L-3が、センサ27(例えば圧電センサ)によりユーザ操作(例えば瞬き)を検出するUI機能を有しているが、本実施形態によるUI機能は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて検出される方法に限定されない。例えば、収音部(マイクロホン、以下マイクとも称する)により収音した音声に基づいて各コマンド(ユーザ操作)が検出されてもよい。そこで、以下、一方のコンタクトレンズ1が音声入力可能なUI機能を有し、他方のコンタクトレンズ1が撮像機能を有する第4の実施形態による連携動作について、図9~図10を参照して説明する。
  (2-4-1.構成)
 図9は、第4の実施形態による左眼4Lに装着されるコンタクトレンズ1L-4の構成を示すブロック図である。なお、本実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100は、左眼4Lに装着されるコンタクトレンズ1L-4と右眼4Rに装着されるコンタクトレンズ1R-4により形成される。コンタクトレンズ1R-4の構成は、図7に示すコンタクトレンズ1R-3と同様であるので、ここでの説明は省略する。
 図9に示すように、コンタクトレンズ1L-4は、制御部21L-4、無線通信処理部22、アンテナ23および機能部30L-4を有する。機能部30L-4は、マイク(収音部)29を含む。
 (マイク29)
 マイク29は、レンズ部10に設けられ、ユーザの声など外界の音声を収音し、収音した音声信号を制御部21L-4に出力する。また、本実施形態によるマイク29に防水機能を適用してもよいし、マイク29を、水中音を収音可能な構造により実現してもよい。
 (制御部21L-4)
 制御部21L-4は、マイク29により収音された音声信号に基づいて、カメラ起動コマンド、撮像コマンド(シャッターコマンド)、およびカメラ終了コマンドを検出する。また、制御部21L-4は、検出した各コマンドを、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1R-4に送信するよう制御する。
 以上、コンタクトレンズ1L-4の構成について具体的に説明した。上記構成により、左眼4Lに装着されているコンタクトレンズ1L-4は、音声によるユーザ操作(コマンド)を検出し、検出した各コマンドに応じて、右眼4Rに装着されているコンタクトレンズ1R-4の撮像動作を制御することができる。
  (2-4-2.動作処理)
 続いて、第4の実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100の動作処理について図10を参照して説明する。図10は、第4の実施形態による連携処理の一例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図10に示すように、まず、ステップS233において、コンタクトレンズ1L-4のマイク29がONにされる。具体的には、例えばコンタクトレンズ1L-4に電力の供給がある場合や、所定のトリガ信号を外部(ユーザが所持するスマートフォンやタブレット端末等の外部通信端末)から受信した場合、マイク29の電源が入る。電源がONされたマイク29は、周囲の音声を収音し、収音した音声信号を制御部21L-4に出力する。
 次いで、ステップS236において、制御部21L-4は、マイク29により収音された音声信号を解析し(音声認識)、カメラ起動コマンドを検出する。
 続いて、ステップS239において、制御部21L-4は、「カメラ起動コマンド」を検出すると、カメラ起動コマンドを、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1R-4に送信する。
 次に、ステップS242において、コンタクトレンズ1R-4の制御部21R-4は、コンタクトレンズ1L-4から受信したカメラ起動コマンドに従って、撮像部24を起動する。
 次いで、ステップS245において、コンタクトレンズ1L-4の制御部21L-4は、マイク29により収音された音声信号を解析し、撮像コマンド(シャッターコマンド)を検出する。
 次に、ステップS248において、制御部21L-4は、撮像コマンドを、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1R-4に送信する。
 次いで、ステップS251において、コンタクトレンズ1R-4の制御部21R-4は、コンタクトレンズ1L-4から受信した撮像コマンドに従って、撮像部24により被写体の撮像を行うよう制御する。
 続いて、ステップS254において、コンタクトレンズ1L-4の制御部21L-4は、マイク29により収音された音声信号を解析し、「カメラ終了コマンド」を検出する。
 次に、ステップS257において、制御部21L-4は、カメラ終了コマンドを、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1R-4に送信する。
 そして、ステップS260において、コンタクトレンズ1R-4の制御部21R-4は、コンタクトレンズ1L-4から受信したカメラ終了コマンドに従って、撮像部24をOFFする。
 以上、第4の実施形態による連携動作について具体的に説明した。本実施形態によれば、一対のコンタクトレンズ100で、音声入力によるUI機能と撮像機能の連携動作を実現することができる。
  <2-5.第5の実施形態>
 上述した第1~第4の実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100は、各コンタクトレンズ1R、1Lがそれぞれバッテリー(電力供給部)を有するか、または各コンタクトレンズ1R、1Lがそれぞれ外部の電力供給装置から電力を受給している。しかし、本実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100の各構成はこれに限定されず、各コンタクトレンズ1R、1Lのうち一方のコンタクトレンズにバッテリーが設けられ、他方のコンタクトレンズに電力を供給するといった連携動作を行ってもよい。以下、このような電力供給の連携動作について、第5の実施形態として、図11~図12を参照して説明する。
  (2-5-1.構成)
 図11は、第5の実施形態による左眼4Lに装着されるコンタクトレンズ1L-5の構成を示すブロック図である。なお、本実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100は、左眼4Lに装着され、バッテリー機能を有するコンタクトレンズ1L-5と、右眼4Rに装着され、撮像機能を有するコンタクトレンズ1R-5により形成される。コンタクトレンズ1R-5の構成は、図7に示すコンタクトレンズ1R-3と同様であるので、ここでの説明は省略する。
 図11に示すように、コンタクトレンズ1L-5は、制御部21L-5、無線通信処理部22、アンテナ23および機能部30L-5を有する。機能部30L-5は、センサ27およびバッテリー31を含む。
 センサ27は、第1の実施形態において図3を参照して説明したので、ここでの詳細な説明は省略する。
 バッテリー31は、コンタクトレンズ1L-5の各構成に電力を供給する機能を有する。バッテリー31は、例えば太陽光発電部により実現されてもよいし、アンテナ23により外部の電力供給装置から電力を受給する処理を行う電力受給処理部により実現されてもよい。
 制御部21L-5は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて、カメラ起動コマンド、撮像コマンド、およびカメラ終了コマンドを検出し、検出した各コマンドを、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1R-5に送信する。また、制御部21L-5は、検出した各コマンドに応じて、コンタクトレンズ1R-5への電力送信を制御する。
 以上、コンタクトレンズ1L-5の構成について具体的に説明した。上記構成により、左眼4Lに装着しているコンタクトレンズ1L-5は、検出した各コマンドに応じて、右眼4Rに装着しているコンタクトレンズ1R-5への電力供給を制御する。
  (2-5-2.動作処理)
 続いて、第5の実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100の動作処理について図12を参照して説明する。図12は、第5の実施形態による連携処理の一例を示すシーケンス図である。
 図12に示すように、まず、ステップS263において、コンタクトレンズ1L-5のセンサ27がONにされる。
 次いで、ステップS266において、制御部21L-5は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて、カメラ起動コマンドを検出する。具体的には、例えば圧電センサ(センサ27の一例)によりコンタクトレンズ1L-5に接する瞼の開閉が検出される場合、制御部21L-5は、瞼が2回閉じたことを、「カメラ起動コマンド」として検出してもよい。
 次に、ステップS269において、制御部21L-5は、バッテリー31から供給される電力をコンタクトレンズ1R-5に送信するよう制御する。電力送信は、例えば電磁誘導方式、電波方式、または電磁界共鳴方式等により実現され得る。また、コンタクトレンズ1R-5への電力送信は以降継続的に行われる。
 次いで、ステップS272において、制御部21L-5は、カメラ起動コマンドをコンタクトレンズ1R-5に送信する。
 続くステップS275~S287において、図8に示すステップS195~S210に示す処理と同様の処理を行う。すなわち、コンタクトレンズ1L-5において撮像コマンド(シャッターコマンド)やカメラ終了コマンドが検出され、各コマンドに応じて、コンタクトレンズ1R-5の撮像部24が制御される。この際、コンタクトレンズ1R-5の各構成は、コンタクトレンズ1L-5から継続的に送信される電力を利用して駆動する。
 次に、ステップS290において、コンタクトレンズ1R-5の制御部21R-5は、撮像部24をOFFした旨をコンタクトレンズ1L-5に通知する。
 そして、ステップS293において、コンタクトレンズ1L-5の制御部21L-5は、撮像部24をOFFの旨を受信すると、コンタクトレンズ1R-5への電力の送信を中止する。
 以上、第5の実施形態による連携動作について具体的に説明した。本実施形態によれば、一対のコンタクトレンズ100で、バッテリー機能(電力供給機能)と撮像機能の連携動作を実現することができる。
  <2-6.第6の実施形態>
 上述した第1~第5の実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100では、各コンタクトレンズ1R、1Lがそれぞれ有するアンテナ23および無線通信処理部22は、少なくとも各コンタクトレンズ1R、1Lが互いに通信するための機能を有していればよい。ここで、コンタクトレンズ1R、1Lのうち一方に、外部通信端末と通信可能な機能(外部通信機能)を設けることで、外部通信機能と他の機能との連携動作を実現することができる。外部通信端末とは、例えばユーザが所持するスマートフォン、携帯電話端末、タブレット端末等の通信端末や、ネットワーク上のサーバ等である。以下、このような通信機能と他の機能(例えば撮像機能)の連携動作について、第6の実施形態として、図13~図14を参照して説明する。
  (2-6-1.構成)
 図13は、第6の実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100を形成する左眼4Lに装着されるコンタクトレンズ1L-6と、右眼4Rに装着されるコンタクトレンズ1R-6の構成を示すブロック図である。
 図13に示すように、コンタクトレンズ1L-6は、制御部21L-6、無線通信処理部22、アンテナ23および機能部30L-6を有する。機能部30L-6は、外部無線通信処理部32およびアンテナ33を含む。
 アンテナ33は、ユーザが所持するスマートフォン、携帯電話端末、タブレット端末等の通信端末や、ネットワーク上のサーバ等の外部通信端末と無線接続する。また、外部無線通信処理部32は、アンテナ33による外部通信端末との無線接続を処理する。なおコンタクトレンズ1L-6は、アンテナ33を有する構成の他、アンテナ33の代わりに人体を介して外部通信端末と無線通信を行ってもよい。
 制御部21L-6は、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1R-6から受信した撮像画像を、アンテナ33および外部無線通信処理部32を介して外部通信端末に送信するよう制御する。
 以上、本実施形態によるコンタクトレンズ1L-6の構成について具体的に説明した。一方、コンタクトレンズ1R-6は、図13に示すように、制御部21R-6、無線通信処理部22、アンテナ23および機能部30R-6を有する。機能部30R-6は、撮像部24およびセンサ27を含む。
 撮像部24およびセンサ27は、第1の実施形態において図3を参照して説明したので、ここでの詳細な説明は省略する。
 制御部21R-6は、センサ27による検知結果に応じて撮像部24による撮像動作を制御し、撮像部24により撮像された撮像画像をコンタクトレンズ1L-6に送信するよう制御する。
 以上、コンタクトレンズ1L-6およびコンタクトレンズ1R-6の構成について具体的に説明した。上記構成により、左眼4Lに装着しているコンタクトレンズ1L-6は、右眼4Rに装着しているコンタクトレンズ1R-6が有する撮像部24により撮像された撮像画像を外部通信端末に送信することができる。
  (2-6-2.動作処理)
 続いて、第6の実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100の動作処理について図14を参照して説明する。図14は、第6の実施形態による連携処理の一例を示すシーケンス図である。
 まず、図14に示すステップS303~S315において、図4に示すステップS103~S115に示す処理と同様の処理を行う。すなわち、コンタクトレンズ1R-6において、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて、カメラ起動コマンド、撮像コマンド(シャッターコマンド)、カメラ終了コマンドが検出され、各コマンドに応じて、撮像部24による撮像動作が制御される。
 次いで、ステップS318において、コンタクトレンズ1R-6の制御部21R-6は、撮像部24により撮像された撮像画像を、アンテナ23および無線通信処理部22を介してコンタクトレンズ1L-6に送信する。
 次に、ステップS321において、コンタクトレンズ1L-6の制御部21L-6は、コンタクトレンズ1R-6から受信した撮像画像を、アンテナ33および外部無線通信処理部32を介して外部通信端末に送信するよう制御する。
 一方、ステップS324において、コンタクトレンズ1R-6の制御部21R-6は、センサ27による検知結果に基づいて、「カメラ終了コマンド」を検出する。具体的には、例えばコンタクトレンズ1R-6に接する瞼が意識的に3回閉じられた場合、制御部21R-6は、「カメラ終了コマンド」として検出する。
 そして、ステップS327において、制御部21R-6は、「カメラ終了コマンド」を検出すると、撮像部24をOFFする。
 以上、第6の実施形態による連携動作について具体的に説明した。本実施形態によれば、一対のコンタクトレンズ100で、外部通信機能と撮像機能の連携動作を実現することができる。なお、本実施形態による連携動作は、外部通信機能と撮像機能に限定されず、例えば外部通信機能と表示機能であってもよい。これにより、例えば外部通信機能を有する一方のコンタクトレンズ1Lによりネットワーク上の所定サーバから映像を受信し、表示機能を有する他方のコンタクトレンズ1Rにおいて受信した映像を表示してもよい。
 また、本実施形態による連携動作は、外部通信機能と記憶機能であってもよい。これにより、例えば外部通信機能を有する一方のコンタクトレンズ1Lにより外部通信端末からデータを受信し、記憶機能を有する他方のコンタクトレンズ1Rにおいて受信したデータを記憶してもよい。ここで記憶機能とは、所定の記録媒体に対してデータの記録再生を行う記憶部により実現され得る。記録媒体としては、フラッシュメモリ等の固定メモリなど各種考えられ、記憶部としては採用する記録媒体に応じて記録再生を実行できる構成とされればよい。
  <<3.まとめ>>
 上述したように、本実施形態による一対のコンタクトレンズ100を形成するコンタクトレンズ1Rとコンタクトレンズ1Lは、互いに異なる機能を有し、これらの機能を連携して動作させることで、コンタクトレンズの利便性を格段に向上させることができる。
 以上、添付図面を参照しながら本開示の好適な実施形態について詳細に説明したが、本技術はかかる例に限定されない。本開示の技術分野における通常の知識を有する者であれば、特許請求の範囲に記載された技術的思想の範疇内において、各種の変更例または修正例に想到し得ることは明らかであり、これらについても、当然に本開示の技術的範囲に属するものと了解される。
 例えば、コンタクトレンズ1の回路部20に内蔵されるCPU、ROM、およびRAM等のハードウェアに、上述したコンタクトレンズ1の制御部21の各機能を発揮させるためのコンピュータプログラムも作成可能である。また、当該コンピュータプログラムを記憶させたコンピュータ読み取り可能な記憶媒体も提供される。
 また、上記各実施形態では、両目にコンタクトレンズ1R、1Lがそれぞれ装着されている場合における連携動作について説明したが、一対のコンタクトレンズ100のうち一方が外れた場合は、例外処理を実行してもよい。例えば、上記各実施形態において、一方のコンタクトレンズからの応答がない場合、他方のコンタクトレンズは、撮像画像や各コマンド、電力等の送信処理を中止するよう制御する。
 また、一般的に、コンタクトレンズには、レンズの特性およびレンズ径がそれぞれ異なるソフトコンタクトレンズおよびハードコンタクトレンズが知られているが、本実施形態によるコンタクトレンズ1は、いずれのタイプにも応用され得る。
 また、上述した各フローチャートにおける各コマンドの送信処理は、送信先からのコマンド完了通知を持って送信処理終了としてもよい。例えば、図6のS155に示す「照明ONのコマンド送信処理」は、コンタクトレンズ1R-2からコマンド完了通知(照明ON通知)を受信することで終了し、次いでS161に示す「撮像処理」が行われる。これにより、コンタクトレンズ1R-2で照明が点く前にコンタクトレンズ1L-2で撮像処理が行われてしまうことを回避することができる。
 なお、本技術は以下のような構成も取ることができる。
(1)
 両目の各眼球に装着される一対のレンズ部と、
 前記一対のレンズ部のうち一方の前記レンズ部に設けられる第1の機能部と、
 他方の前記レンズ部に設けられる前記第1の機能部の機能と異なる機能を有する第2の機能部と、
を備える、一対のコンタクトレンズ。
(2)
 前記一対のコンタクトレンズは、前記一対のレンズ部を通信可能にする通信部をさらに備える、前記(1)に記載の一対のコンタクトレンズ。
(3)
 前記通信部は、前記一対のレンズ部にそれぞれ設けられる、前記(2)に記載の一対のコンタクトレンズ。
(4)
 前記第1、第2の機能部は、撮像部、照明部、表示部、記憶部、センサ、収音部、および電力供給部の少なくともいずれかである、前記(1)~(3)のいずれか1項に記載の一対のコンタクトレンズ。
(5)
 前記一対のコンタクトレンズは、前記第1、第2の機能部が連携して動作するよう制御する制御部をさらに備える、前記(1)~(4)のいずれか1項に記載の一対のコンタクトレンズ。
(6)
 前記制御部は、前記一対のレンズ部にそれぞれ設けられる、前記(5)に記載の一対のコンタクトレンズ。
(7)
 眼球に装着されるレンズ部と、
 前記レンズ部に設けられる機能部と、
 前記レンズ部に設けられる、外部装置と通信可能な通信部と、
 前記通信部により前記外部装置から受信した情報に応じて、前記機能部が前記外部装置と連携して動作するよう制御する制御部と、
を備える、コンタクトレンズ。
(8)
 前記制御部は、前記外部装置の機能を制御する制御信号を、前記通信部を介して前記外部装置に送信するように制御する、前記(7)に記載のコンタクトレンズ。
(9)
 前記外部装置は、他方の眼球に装着されている他の前記コンタクトレンズである、前記(7)または(8)に記載のコンタクトレンズ。
(10)
 コンピュータに、
 眼球に装着されるレンズ部に設けられる機能部と、
 前記レンズ部に設けられる、外部装置と通信可能な通信部と、
 前記通信部により前記外部装置から受信した情報に応じて、前記機能部が前記外部装置と連携して動作するよう制御する制御部と、
として機能させるためのプログラムが記憶された、記憶媒体。

Claims (10)

  1.  両目の各眼球に装着される一対のレンズ部と、
     前記一対のレンズ部のうち一方の前記レンズ部に設けられる第1の機能部と、
     他方の前記レンズ部に設けられる前記第1の機能部の機能と異なる機能を有する第2の機能部と、
    を備える、一対のコンタクトレンズ。
  2.  前記一対のコンタクトレンズは、前記一対のレンズ部を通信可能にする通信部をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の一対のコンタクトレンズ。
  3.  前記通信部は、前記一対のレンズ部にそれぞれ設けられる、請求項2に記載の一対のコンタクトレンズ。
  4.  前記第1、第2の機能部は、撮像部、照明部、表示部、記憶部、センサ、収音部、および電力供給部の少なくともいずれかである、請求項1に記載の一対のコンタクトレンズ。
  5.  前記一対のコンタクトレンズは、前記第1、第2の機能部が連携して動作するよう制御する制御部をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の一対のコンタクトレンズ。
  6.  前記制御部は、前記一対のレンズ部にそれぞれ設けられる、請求項5に記載の一対のコンタクトレンズ。
  7.  眼球に装着されるレンズ部と、
     前記レンズ部に設けられる機能部と、
     前記レンズ部に設けられる、外部装置と通信可能な通信部と、
     前記通信部により前記外部装置から受信した情報に応じて、前記機能部が前記外部装置と連携して動作するよう制御する制御部と、
    を備える、コンタクトレンズ。
  8.  前記制御部は、前記外部装置の機能を制御する制御信号を、前記通信部を介して前記外部装置に送信するように制御する、請求項7に記載のコンタクトレンズ。
  9.  前記外部装置は、他方の眼球に装着されている他の前記コンタクトレンズである、請求項7に記載のコンタクトレンズ。
  10.  コンピュータに、
     眼球に装着されるレンズ部に設けられる機能部と、
     前記レンズ部に設けられる、外部装置と通信可能な通信部と、
     前記通信部により前記外部装置から受信した情報に応じて、前記機能部が前記外部装置と連携して動作するよう制御する制御部と、
    として機能させるためのプログラムが記憶された、記憶媒体。
