Abstract

Cette invention concerne un procédé pour une récupération améliorée des fluides hydrocarbonées, le procédé comprenant les étapes de création d'une pluralité de trous de forage dans une formation souterraine, un ou plusieurs trous de forage de ladite pluralité pouvant comprendre une partie de forage directionnel dans laquelle est placée une solution, et une électrode fonctionnellement raccordée à une source d'alimentation. Les autres étapes comprennent la génération d'un champ électrique au sein de la formation souterraine, pour induire ainsi une réaction électrochimique apte à produire un gaz à partir de la solution, de façon que le gaz se mélange aux fluides hydrocarbonés présents dans la formation et élève la pression au sein au moins d'un des trous de forage de ladite pluralité de trous de forage, de la formation souterraine, et de leurs combinaisons, pour améliorer ainsi le taux de récupération du fluide hydrocarboné.
