Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Abgasturbolader, mit einem Gehäuse, das einen Abgaseingang und einen Abgasausgang aufweist, und einem in dem Gehäuse drehbar gelagerten Turbinenrad. Ferner ist eine Absperreinrichtung vorgesehen, die einen geöffneten und einen geschlossenen Zustand einnehmen kann, wobei im geöffneten Zustand eine Fluidverbindung besteht, über die vom Abgaseingang kommendes Abgas unter Umgehung des Turbinenrads zum Abgasausgang strömen kann. Der Abgasturbolader ist bei einer Beaufschlagung des Gehäuses mit Druckluft zumindest annähernd luftdicht.
