- the registration terminal 110, the repository server 120, and the signature verification apparatus 130 are connected via a network 140.
- the signature generation terminal 110 is not necessarily connected to the network.
- the signature verification apparatus 130 may have a DB and store a biometric certificate. In this case, the signature verification apparatus 130 does not need to acquire a biometric certificate from the repository server. At this time, the signature verification apparatus 130 is not necessarily connected to the network at the time of signature verification.
- the registration terminal 100, signature generation terminal 110, repository server 120, and signature verification apparatus 130 includes a CPU 500, a RAM 501, an HDD 502, an input device 503, an output device 504, and a communication device 505. Yes.

- the secret key KSe is not directly used for embedding, but is expanded using random number information to increase the apparent entropy before embedding (concealing biometric information), so that even if the distribution of the registered feature amount X is biased, The safety can be ensured.
- a specific example of the embedding function Embed will be described later.

- the repository server 120 registers the biometric certificate T in the public DB 121 (S207).
- the biometric certificate T since it is difficult to estimate the feature amount X and the secret key KSe from the biometric public key, the risk of forgery of biometric information and signatures is sufficiently low even if the biometric certificate T is disclosed, ensuring safety. can do. Also, by disclosing the biometric certificate T, it becomes possible for an arbitrary signature verification device to verify an arbitrary biometric signature. According to the present embodiment, since secret information such as a secret key and a template is not stored anywhere, it is possible to construct an electronic signature system with high security and low operation management cost.
- the signature generation terminal 110 receives an input of an arbitrary message M via the message input unit 111 (S300).
- the ID input unit 116 receives an input of a user ID (S301). Note that step 301 may be omitted and a symbol such as NULL may be used as the user ID. By doing so, the user does not need to input an ID at the time of signing, and further convenience improvement is expected.

- a predetermined electronic signature algorithm specifically, a Schnorr signature
- the respective keys are referred to as a temporary secret key KSs and a temporary public key KPs.
- the biometric signature generation unit 114 creates a temporary expanded key ESs for the temporary secret key KSs using the key expansion function Expand (S305).
- the temporary secret key KSs is not directly used for embedding, but is expanded using random number information to increase the apparent entropy before embedding (the biometric information is concealed), so that the distribution of the signature feature quantity X ′ is biased. However, the safety can be ensured.
- the biometric signature generation unit 114 generates an electronic signature ⁇ ′ for the message M using the temporary public key KPs and a predetermined electronic signature algorithm (S307).
- the signature generation terminal 110 does not necessarily need to be connected to the network 140 and can be used standalone.
- the biometric certificate verification unit 133 verifies that the biometric certificate T has not been tampered with using the electronic signature S included in the biometric certificate T and the public key of the registration terminal 100 (S402). For this verification, a second electronic signature algorithm is used.
- the biometric certificate verification unit 133 proceeds to step 403.
- the biometric certificate verification unit 133 determines that the final verification result is “failure” and jumps to step 407.
- the biometric signature verification unit 134 verifies the electronic signature ⁇ ′ included in the biometric signature ⁇ using the temporary public key KPs included in the biometric signature ⁇ (S403). When the verification is successful, the biometric signature verification unit 134 proceeds to step 404. When verification fails in step 403, the biometric signature verification unit 134 determines that the final verification result is “failure” and jumps to step 407.
- the biometric signature verification unit 134 compresses the differential extension key using a predetermined key compression function Compress, and creates a differential secret key KSd (step S405).
- ESd ESe ⁇ ESs
- KSd KSe ⁇ KSs.
- ESd is directly used for the subsequent processing.
- the attacker who observed ESd considers the bias of the biometric information from there and uses the secret key. It becomes possible to narrow down candidates, and safety is reduced.
- by compressing ESd it is possible to eliminate the bias and ensure safety. Since ESe and ESs are data in which the secret keys KSe and KSs are expanded using random number information and the apparent entropy is increased, even if this is compressed, the security as the original secret key is not impaired.
- the biometric signature verification unit 134 determines whether the public key KPe included in the biometric certificate T, the temporary public key KPs included in the biometric signature ⁇ , and the differential secret key KSd satisfy the relationship described below. Verification is performed using the function DiffVer. That is, it is verified whether the “difference” between the secret key KSe corresponding to the public key KPe and the temporary secret key KSs corresponding to the temporary public key KPs matches the differential secret key KSd (step S406). When this relationship is satisfied, DiffVer returns “success”, otherwise “failure” is returned. Details of the function DiffVer will be described later.
- the verification result output unit 135 outputs the final verification result (S407).
- the differential secret key KSd does not match the “difference” between the secret key KSe and the temporary secret key KSs (KSd ⁇ KSe ⁇ KSs), and the differential key verification fails.
- the biometric signature system 200 can generate a correct biometric signature (that can be successfully verified) only when the signing user is the same person as the registered user. A biometric signature cannot be generated.
- the secret key is expanded using random number information, and the apparent entropy is increased and embedded in the biometric information. Prevent partial information leakage. Also, at the time of signature verification, an error correction process is performed on the difference between commitments and a difference expansion key is calculated, and then a compression process is performed, thereby generating an unbiased differential secret key regardless of the distribution of biometric information. It is possible to perform key verification processing. This prevents an attacker from narrowing down secret key candidates and realizes a biometric signature system that is safe even if the distribution of biometric information is biased.
- the cyclic group G of prime order p used in the Waters signature is selected so that p ⁇ 1 can divide W.
- a secret key is used in the Waters signature
- MWS security can be reduced to the security of the Waters signature. In other words, it can be proved that the MWS has the same security as the Waters signature.
- All or part of (G, p, g, h, w, r) may be parameters determined at the time of system setup, or may be parameters determined for each user at the time of user registration.
- N n ⁇ m dimensional vector that is randomly generated using random number information so as to satisfy
- the function Embed is defined as follows.
- the function Extract is defined as follows.
- the function Compress is defined as follows.
- Compress corresponds to the inverse function of Expand, and is a process of compressing the information amount of the key once increased to the original size. If the distribution of biometric features x and x 'is biased, the attacker who observed the commitments Ce and Cs
- the expanded keys ESe and ESs can be narrowed down. That is, the posterior distribution of ESe and ESs after observing x and x ′ is non-uniform.
- the method of Non-Patent Document 2 cannot secure sufficient safety for such reasons.
- the posterior distribution of the differential secret key after compression becomes uniform, and security can be ensured.
- a user can create an electronic signature for an arbitrary electronic document using only his / her own biometric information using an arbitrary terminal without storing personal belongings or secret information.
- a highly convenient digital signature system biometric signature system
- secret information such as secret keys and templates
- a digital signature system that is safe and low in operating costs can be constructed.
- it since it is not necessary to register user-dependent information or the like in advance in the terminal, and it is not necessary to be connected to the network when generating a signature, it can be used for a wide range of applications without limiting the application.
