Abstract
L'invention porte sur une échelle télescopique ayant plusieurs sections d'échelle télescopique, chacune ou au moins une partie des sections d'échelle comprenant deux barres d'échelle creuses disposées parallèlement l'une à l'autre et reliées entre elles à une extrémité supérieure par un échelon, et chaque section d'échelle télescopique étant insérée de façon télescopique dans une section d'échelle inférieure. Chaque barre d'échelle d'une section d'échelle télescopique comprend un trou de verrouillage adjacent à la partie d'extrémité inférieure de la barre d'échelle et une extension en dessous du trou de verrouillage. Des mécanismes de retenue sont situés dans au moins une partie des échelons pour verrouiller les sections d'échelle télescopique l'une par rapport à l'autre, lorsque les sections d'échelle télescopique sont étendues, chacun ou une partie desdits mécanismes de retenue comprenant une goupille de verrouillage qui peut être amenée dans une position étendue et verrouillée afin de s'engager dans un trou de verrouillage correspondant formé dans la barre d'échelle d'une section d'échelle positionnée au-dessus de celui-ci, et chacun ou une partie desdits mécanismes de retenue comprenant en outre une partie de libération ayant un levier ou bras de libération pour rétracter la goupille de verrouillage de la position verrouillée à la position déverrouillée. Pour au moins une section d'échelle inférieure, deux éléments d'actionnement sont situés sur le dessus de l'échelon de la section d'échelle inférieure, un élément d'actionnement étant à chaque extrémité de l'échelon, ledit élément d'actionnement étant agencé pour actionner un levier de libération d'un mécanisme de retenue situé dans l'échelon d'une section d'échelle positionnée au-dessus, et chacun desdits éléments d'actionnement ayant une face latérale intérieure s'étendant dans une direction le long d'une barre d'échelle correspondante de la section d'échelle positionnée au-dessus. Il est préféré qu'une partie supérieure d'une face latérale extérieure de l'élément d'actionnement soit inclinée vers l'intérieur vers la barre d'échelle, conduisant à un angle aigu α qui n'est pas supérieur à 45° entre la barre d'échelle et la partie supérieure de la face latérale extérieure de l'élément d'actionnement. Ainsi, l'élément d'actionnement peut pousser les doigts ou une partie corporelle d'un utilisateur à se déplacer latéralement lorsque l'échelon de la section d'échelle supérieure se déplace vers le bas lors du pliage de l'échelle. Il est également préféré que les leviers ou bras de libération de la section d'échelle positionnée au-dessus aient une partie d'extrémité au moins partiellement inclinée ou convexe pour entrer en contact avec la partie supérieure inclinée des éléments d'actionnement correspondants de la section d'échelle inférieure.
