Abstract

L'invention concerne un système d'autorisation d'accès comportant un authentificateur central et un dispositif d'accès régulant l'accès à chaque ressource d'une pluralité de ressources, le dispositif d'accès étant situé à distance de l'authentificateur central et étant programmable et configuré pour communiquer avec celui-ci. L'authentificateur mémorise: pour chaque utilisateur d'une pluralité d'utilisateurs, un identifiant d'utilisateur et des données d'identité d'utilisateur associées à celui-ci; pour chaque dispositif d'une pluralité de dispositifs d'accès, un identifiant de dispositif d'accès et des données se rapportant à chacune des ressources contrôlées par le dispositif d'accès; et au moins un privilège accordé à chaque utilisateur d'utiliser au moins une ressource sélectionnée parmi la pluralité de ressources contrôlées par au moins un des dispositifs d'accès. L'authentificateur et le dispositif d'accès sont programmés pour effectuer les étapes suivantes en réaction à une demande adressée par l'utilisateur à l'authentificateur en vue d'exercer le privilège: (a) en réaction à la réception de lla demande, l'authentificateur demande à l'utilisateur de transmettre à l'authentificateur des données individuelles identifiant l'utilisateur; (b) l'authentificateur compare celles-ci à des données mémorisées pour confirmer l'identité de l'utilisateur; (c) l'authentificateur envoie aux dispositif d'accès des instructions en vue de permettre à l'utilisateur d'exercer ledit ou chacun desdits privilèges.
