- Another weld joint coupling the fuel supply pipe and the fuel supply cas ⁇ ing is moved away from the surface of the outer wall 10, to ⁇ wards a cover plate 13. Moving the weld joints away from the surface of the combustion unit reduces the mechanical and thermal stress acting on the weld joints thereby increasing the life of the weld joint.
- the components of the combustion section of the gas turbine may be fabricated so as to enable the joints to be welded as shown in FIG 7.

- the welding scheme disclosed herein reduces the thermal and me ⁇ chanical stresses acting on the weld joints which in turn in- crease the life of the welded joints.
- the arrangement of the fuel injection assembly as disclosed hereinbefore, has improved resistance towards mechanical vi ⁇ brations and thermal stress. Therefore, the fuel injection assembly has improved durability and performance characteris ⁇ tics. Further, the positioning of the fuel injection assembly is towards a cover plate of the gas turbine, which renders the fuel injection assembly less prone to cracks and mechani ⁇ cal stress. Further, the fuel injection assembly is flexible in construction and can be adapted to deliver the fuel into a stream of compressed air so as to maintain an optimum un- mixedness . Though the invention has been described herein with reference to specific embodiments, this description is not meant to be construed in a limiting sense.

Abstract
L'invention concerne une turbine à gaz qui comprend une unité de combustion (8), un manchon d'écoulement (2) entourant l'unité de combustion (8), lequel manchon d'écoulement (2) est positionné radialement vers l'extérieur à partir de l'unité de combustion (8). En outre, la turbine à gaz comprend un ensemble d'injection de carburant qui est intégré à un moyen de bride (4) qui supporte l'unité de combustion (8). L'ensemble d'injection de carburant est pourvu d'un boîtier d'alimentation en carburant creux ayant une paroi extérieure (10). L'ensemble d'injection de carburant comprend une pluralité de tubes de distribution (12) couplés à la paroi extérieure (10). La pluralité de tubes de distribution (12) est adaptée pour déverser du carburant dans la cavité annulaire. L'ensemble d'injection de carburant est disposé dans la cavité annulaire entre le manchon d'écoulement (2) et une unité de combustion (2) de la turbine à gaz.
