  • the diaphragm (14) both performs a function of preventing the contaminants from returning to the housing of the filtering element and thereby preventing the contaminants from entering the air filter, and allows said contaminants to be ejected in controlled fashion and in frequent manner.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne en général une soupape pour un élément filtrant et, plus précisément, l'invention concerne une soupape utilisée dans un boîtier qui contient un élément filtrant, tel qu'un filtre à air pour un moteur à combustion interne. Selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention, la soupape d'éjection de contaminants (10) comprend un corps (11) qui comprend une partie supérieure et une partie inférieure, la partie supérieure comprenant une ouverture (12) qui est destinée à être installée dans un boîtier d'un élément filtrant et en communication fluidique avec celui-ci, la partie inférieure ayant un plan incliné qui est intégré avec le corps et comprenant également au moins une ouverture (13) pour l'éjection des contaminants ; et un diaphragme (14) monté dans ladite au moins une ouverture (13), formé dans la partie inférieure dudit corps, pour permettre une éjection contrôlée des contaminants en présence d'une pression neutre et/ou positive à l'intérieur du boîtier de l'élément filtrant.
