On connaît une portière de véhicule à moteur munie d'une serrure de porte, qui comprend un système de poignée de porte qui est positionné dans la zone d'un évidement ménagé dans la porte et qui coopère avec la serrure de porte pour permettre l'ouverture de ladite portière, ledit système de poignée de porte comprenant une poignée de porte qui est montée mobile entre une position de repos à fleur d'un habillage extérieur de la porte et une position fonctionnelle en saillie vers l'extérieur au-dessus de l'habillage extérieur de la porte. Selon l'invention, la poignée de porte est accouplée mécaniquement à la serrure de porte par l'intermédiaire d'une commande d'urgence mécanique qui, en cas d'urgence, provoque un déverrouillage de la serrure de porte sous l'effet d'une traction exercée sur la poignée de porte en vue de libérer la portière de véhicule à moteur. L'invention s'applique aux voitures particulières.
