- the conventional pouch type secondary battery 10 having such a structure, the lower surface or the upper surface of the electrode tab 40 is joined to the upper surface or the lower surface of the electrode lead 50 by ultrasonic welding, and thus the electrode lead 50 is longitudinally (or the surface thereof). Direction), the weld portion A is formed. For this reason, the conventional pouch type secondary battery 10 has to secure sufficient space in the pouch case 20 for the surface direction coupling between the electrode tab 40 and the electrode lead 50.
- the width of the weld portion A is about 4 mm, and the electrode assembly 30 and the pouch are considered in consideration of the width of the surface welded portion A and the sealing portion S.
- FIG. A non-electrode section (terrace) between the packaging materials 20 is about 18 mm.
- the conventional pouch type secondary battery 10 has a problem in that the utilization of the internal space of the secondary battery is lowered due to the securing of the space in the surface direction welding part.
- the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems of the prior art, the problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a pouch-type secondary battery and a method of manufacturing the same that can increase the space utilization by reducing the length of the non-electrode section.

Description

폴리올레핀계 수지층으로 흔히 사용되는 것으로는 CPP(Casted Polypropylene)가 있다.
