 本発明は、各種電子機器の入力操作部に用いられるプッシュスイッチに関する。
 昨今、パソコンのキーボード等には、キーを押したときの操作感を良くするため、キートップ毎に独立したプッシュスイッチを配設する構成のものが増えてきた。プッシュスイッチを使用する場合、操作者の手指がキートップの端を押した場合でも確実にスイッチ動作させるために、キートップとプッシュスイッチの押子部材との接触面積を広くすることが必要となる。このため、プッシュスイッチには、大型化(大面積化)が要求されている。
 一般的に、この種のプッシュスイッチは、ベース部材の内底部に固定接点部材および外側固定接点部材が配設されるとともに、ベース部材の上部開口部が絶縁性のシート部材で覆われており、シート部材で覆われたベース部材内の空間にドーム状の可動接点部材が収納されている。可動接点部材の外周縁部は外側固定接点部材に常時接触しており、可動接点部材の中央部は固定接点部材の上方に接離可能に配設されている。固定接点部材および外側固定接点部材からは、それぞれベース部材の外部へ外部端子が導出されており、このプッシュスイッチが実装される回路基板にリフロー半田工程によって外部端子が半田付けされている。

 しかしながら、従来例のプッシュスイッチ900を大面積化して、リフロー半田工程で回路基板に実装した場合、プッシュスイッチ900は、図8に示すように、保護シート940にしわWRが発生するという新たな問題が見出された。これは、保護シート940がリフロー半田工程時に高い温度(約260℃になる)に晒されるので熱変形して生じたものである。そして、プッシュスイッチ900の操作時における保護シート940の動きに伴って、しわWRの形状が変化することで異音が発生するおそれがあるという課題があった。
 本発明は、上述した課題を解決するもので、異音の発生を抑制したプッシュスイッチを提供することを目的とする。
 この課題を解決するために、本発明のプッシュスイッチは、凹状に形成された収容部を有するベース部材と、該ベース部材の前記収容部内に露出して設けられた固定接点部材と、前記収容部内に配設され反転動作可能なドーム部が前記固定接点部材に接触可能な可動接点部材と、前記収容部を覆うように配設され前記可動接点部材を保持するシート部材と、前記ドーム部の頂部と前記シート部材との間に配設される押子部材と、を有するプッシュスイッチにおいて、前記シート部材よりも熱膨張係数が小さい材料からなるシート状の補強部材を有し、該補強部材は、前記シート部材に重ねて配設されているという特徴を有する。
 これによれば、本発明のプッシュスイッチは、シート部材よりも熱膨張係数が小さい材料からなるシート状の補強部材を有し、補強部材は、シート部材に重ねて配設されている。そのため、プッシュスイッチを回路基板にリフロー半田付けで実装する際に、熱が加わった場合でも、シート部材の熱変形を補強部材が抑制するので、シート部材にしわが発生し難くなる。これにより、プッシュスイッチを操作した際に、シート部材のしわが原因の異音の発生を抑制することができる。
 また、本発明のプッシュスイッチは、前記補強部材は、少なくとも前記シート部材の接合部から前記押子部材が配設される前記シート部材の中央部までの間で前記シート部材に重ねて配設されているという特徴を有する。
 これによれば、本発明のプッシュスイッチは、補強部材がシート部材の中央部から界面部までの間でシート部材に重ねて配設されるので、押子部材の押下操作に影響せず、操作者がプッシュスイッチを押下操作する際の操作感触の劣化を防ぐことができる。
 また、前記補強部材は、円環形状であり、円環形状の幅は前記ドーム部の半径の40%以上であるという特徴を有する。
 これによれば、本発明のプッシュスイッチは、補強部材が円環形状で、円環形状の幅がドーム部の半径の40%以上であるので、シート部材への貼り付け面積を充分確保することができる。
 また、本発明のプッシュスイッチは、前記補強部材が平面視したときに、前記押子部材に対応する位置に孔部を備えた環形状であるという特徴を有する。
 これによれば、本発明のプッシュスイッチは、補強部材が孔部を備えた環形状であるので、押子部材の位置に孔部を対応させていることで、押子部材の押下操作に影響せず、操作者がプッシュスイッチを押下操作する際の操作感触の劣化を防ぐことができる。
 また、本発明のプッシュスイッチは、前記押子部材が円柱状に形成され、前記補強部材は円環形状に形成され、前記補強部材の外径は、前記ドーム部の直径に対して150%以下であり、前記孔部の直径は、前記押子部材の直径に対して100%以上であるという特徴を有する。
 これによれば、本発明のプッシュスイッチは、孔部の直径が押子部材の直径に対して100%以上であるので、補強部材が突出する押子部材の部分を避ける構成となる。このため、補強部材をシート部材に貼り付けた際に、補強部材とシート部材との間に隙間や浮き上がり等が発生し難くなるので、シート部材のしわの発生を抑制することができる。また、補強部材の外径がドーム部の直径に対して150%以下であるので、シート部材のほぼ全体を覆うことができて補強部材の貼り付け面積を確保することができる。このため、シート部材のしわの発生をより抑制することができる。これらにより、プッシュスイッチを回路基板にリフロー半田付けで実装する際に、熱変形によるシート部材のしわの発生をより効率的に抑制するとともに、プッシュスイッチの操作感触の劣化を防ぐことができる。また、補強部材が円環形状に形成されているので、円筒形状の押子部材から均等距離の範囲で貼り付けられている。このため、押圧操作されたときシート部材が偏ることがなく撓むので操作感触の劣化を防ぐことができる。
 また、本発明のプッシュスイッチは、前記補強部材が前記シート部材の上方に配設されているという特徴を有する。
 これによれば、本発明のプッシュスイッチは、補強部材がシート部材の上方に配設されているため、補強部材をシート部材に予め貼り付けておく必要が無く、ケース部材に対して可動接点部材、押子部材、シート部材、補強部材の順番に配設でき、プッシュスイッチの組み立て作業性が良い。このとき、押子部材を予め可動接点部材またはシート部材に貼り付けておくと、押子部材の位置ずれが無くなるため、より組み立て作業性が良くなる。
 本発明のプッシュスイッチは、操作した際の異音の発生を抑制することができる。

 [第1実施形態]
 以下に本発明の第1実施形態におけるプッシュスイッチ100について、図1から図5までを用いて説明する。
 図1は、本発明の第1実施形態のプッシュスイッチ100の外観を示す斜視図である。図2は、プッシュスイッチ100の分解斜視図である。図3は、プッシュスイッチ100の平面図である。図4は、プッシュスイッチ100を説明する図3のA―A線における断面図である。図5は、プッシュスイッチ100を説明する図3のB―B線における断面図である。
 本発明の第1実施形態のプッシュスイッチ100は、図1に示すように直方体形状の外観を成し、中央部が突起した形状を成している。
 プッシュスイッチ100は図2に示すように、凹状に形成された収容部ADを有するベース部材30と、ベース部材30の収容部AD内に露出して設けられた固定接点部材50と、収容部AD内に配設され反転動作可能なドーム部DDが固定接点部材50に接触可能な可動接点部材60と、収容部ADを覆うように配設され可動接点部材60を保持するシート部材20と、ドーム部DDの頂部とシート部材20との間に配設される押子部材40と、シート部材20よりも熱膨張係数が小さい材料からなるシート状の補強部材10と、プッシュスイッチ100が実装される回路基板に形成されたパターンと接続される外部端子51と、を有している。
 プッシュスイッチ100のベース部材30は、回路基板(図示しない)にプッシュスイッチ100を実装する際にリフロー半田工程で約260[℃]の高温環境下に晒されるので、耐熱性の高いポリアミド(PA、POLYAMIDE)系の合成樹脂(PA9T等)を用いて、固定接点部材50および外部端子51が一体になるようインサート成形にて作製されている。また、ベース部材30は、黒色または暗色の合成樹脂が使用されている。
 ベース部材30は図2に示すように、矩形状の形状を成し、その中央部分は円状の凹部に形成された収容部ADが設けられている。また、ベース部材30と一体に固定接点部材50と外部端子51とが形成されている。固定接点部50は、図2に示すように収容部ADの中央部分と、図5に示すように収容部ADの一方側(図5のX1方向)に露出するように配設されている。外部端子51はベース部材30の四隅のY方向側に突出するように配設され、長方形の板状に形成されている。尚、固定接点部材50と外部端子51とは、導電性の高い銅系(洋白、リン青銅等)の金属板に金、ニッケル、錫等のメッキが施されたフープ状のものをプレス加工して一体に作製されている。
 収容部ADの中央部に配置された固定接点部材50は、図2に示すように、円盤状に加工され、図3に示すX2方向側に配置された2つの外部端子51に接続されている。また、収容部ADのX1方向側に配置された固定接点部材50は、図3に示すX1方向側に配置された2つの外部接続端子51に接続されている。尚、2つの固定接点部材50は電気的な接続はされていない。
 外部端子51は、プッシュスイッチ100が実装される回路基板のパターンとそれぞれリフロー半田工程により、半田付けされて接続可能である。
 プッシュスイッチ100の可動接点部材60は、導電性の高い銅系(洋白、リン青銅等)の金属板に金、ニッケル、錫等のメッキが施されたフープ状のものを図4および図5に示すようにドーム状(ドーム部DD)に加工して作製されている。また、可動接点部材60のドーム部DDの頂部は、図4および図5に示すように、後述する押子部材40が安定的に戴置できるように平面状に形成されている。
 可動接点部材60の外周縁部は、図5に示すように、収容部ADのX1方向側に配置された固定接点部材50に接続され、ドーム部DDが収容部ADの中央部に配置された固定接点部材50の上方に接離可能に配設されている。また、可動接点部材60は、固定接点部材50に接触する構成となるので、異種金属間の電位勾配の影響で電食による腐食が発生する理由から、同じ金属材を使用することで接触の信頼性を確保している。
 プッシュスイッチ100のシート部材20は、図2および図3に示すように、耐熱性があり、レーザ光の透過率が高いPA系の透明色または半透明色の合成樹脂(PA9T等)のフィルムシートを用いている。シート部材20は、4角形の形状を成し、その中央部は後述する押子部材40が収納できるように円筒形状に形成されている。
 シート部材20の一方(図4に示すZ2方向)の面側には、第2粘着層(図示しない)が形成され、シート部材20がこの第2粘着層を介して後述する押子部材40の一方の面と可動接点部材60のドーム部DDとに貼り付けられている。
 シート部材20は、図4および図5に示すように、ベース部材30を覆うように配設され、シート部材20とベース部材30との間の界面部IDがレーザ溶着を用いて接合されている接合部を有している。また、シート部材20は、プッシュスイッチ100の接点部材(固定接点部材50、可動接点部材60)の保護と防塵性能等を確保するために設けられ、ベース部材30との間の界面部IDの接合信頼性を確保するため、ベース部材30と熱膨張係数が同じ材料を使用することが一般的に行われている。
 プッシュスイッチ100の押子部材40は、高強度で電気的絶縁性の良いポリイミド(PI、POLYIMIDE)系の合成樹脂を用いて、射出成形にて作製されている。また、押子部材40は図2に示すように、円柱状の形状を成し、図4および図5に示すように、シート部材20の中央部の円筒形状に形成された箇所の内側に配設されている。
 押子部材40は、図4および図5に示すように、可動接点部材60のドーム部DDの外形形状よりも小さい外形形状となっており、可動接点部材60のドーム部DDの頂部に配設され接着剤等で固定されている。よって、押子部材40は、可動接点部材60のドーム部DDの頂部とシート部材20との間に配設されている。押子部材40の外形寸法は、可動接点部材60の外形寸法よりも小さい寸法となっており、このため可動接点部材60の頂部付近のみを押し込むようになっている。また、押子部材40はシート部材20に貼り付けられているため、可動接点部材60に接着剤等で固定されていなくとも外れることはない。この場合、押子部材40を予めシート部材20に貼り付けてから組み立てを行ってもよい。
 プッシュスイッチ100の補強部材10は、シート部材20よりも熱膨張係数が小さい熱可塑性樹脂であるPEEK(POLY ETHER ETHER KETONE)材を用いたフィルムシートをプレス加工して作製されている。また、補強部材10は、図2および図3に示すように、平面視したときにドーム部DDの上方を覆い、且つ、孔部HDを備えた環形状に形成されている。すなわち、補強部材10は、平面視したときにドーム部DDに重なる領域内で、且つ、押子部材40に重なる領域外に対応するよう、孔部HDを備えた環形状に形成されている。
 補強部材10は、図1および図2に示すように、平面視で円筒形状の押子部材40を囲うように円環形状に形成されている。また、補強部材10は、図4および図5に示すように、シート部材20の上方に重ねて配設されている。また、補強部材10の一方(図4に示すZ2方向)の面側には第1粘着層(図示しない)が形成され、補強部材10がこの第1粘着層を介してシート部材20に貼り付けられている。
 補強部材10の外径は、ドーム部DDの直径に対して150%以下であり、孔部HDの直径は、押子部材40の直径に対して100%以上となるように形成されている。すなわち、補強部材10は、押子部材40に対応する部分を除いてシート部材20全体を覆うことができる。尚、本実施形態においては、補強部材10の外径は、ドーム部DDの直径に対して略90%、孔部HDの直径は、押子部材40の直径に対して略130%に設定している。このように設定していることで、補強部材10は、シート部材20の接合部から押子部材40に至るまでの間でシート部材20に貼り付けられることとなる。
 熱膨張係数の小さい補強部材10(熱膨張係数=5[X10-5/℃])が、熱膨張係数の大きいシート部材20(熱膨張係数=8[X10-5/℃])と貼り合わされていることにより、シート部材20は、プッシュスイッチ100のリフロー半田工程の際に生じる熱変形を抑制される。また、シート部材20の熱変形を抑えるためには、補強部材10の円環形状の幅、すなわち、外周端部から孔部HDまでの幅は、ドーム部DDの半径の40%以上あることが望ましく、本実施形態においては50%にしている。このような設定とすることで、熱変形によるしわが発生しやすいシート部材20の接合部から押子部材40に至るまでの間の大部分に補強部材10を配設することになり、シート部材20のしわの発生を抑えられる。
 従って、図7に示す従来例のプッシュスイッチ900では、大型化のために大面積化すると、図8に示すようにリフロー半田工程の際に保護シート940にしわWRが発生したが、本実施形態のプッシュスイッチ100では、大面積化しても、シート部材20(図7の保護シート940に相当)のしわの発生を抑制することができる。
 ここで、プッシュスイッチ100の動作について簡単に説明する。
 回路基板上に実装されたプッシュスイッチ100の上方(図1に示すZ1方向)には、操作用キートップ等の押圧駆動体が配設され、操作者の手指によってこの押圧駆動体が押下操作されると、シート部材20および押子部材40を介して可動接点部材60のドーム部DDが押し込まれるため、押圧駆動体が所定のストローク押下操作されたときに、可動接点部材60のドーム部DDが反転動作して固定接点部材50に接触する。
 この結果、固定接点部材50と可動接点部材60が導通されるため、導通されたことによる電気信号が外部端子51から出力されて、スイッチ動作がオフからオン状態に切り替わる。その際、可動接点部材60の反転動作によってクリック感が生成されるため、操作用キートップ等を押下操作した操作者は、プッシュスイッチ100がオンしたことを手指で感じることができる。
 押圧駆動体への押下操作を解除すると、反転した可動接点部材60のドーム部DDが元のドーム状の形状に自己復元して、スイッチ動作が元のオフ状態に戻る。
 以上のように構成された本発明の第1実施形態のプッシュスイッチ100における効果について、以下にまとめて説明する。
 本発明の第1実施形態のプッシュスイッチ100は、シート部材20よりも熱膨張係数が小さい材料からなるシート状の補強部材10を有し、補強部材10は、シート部材20に重ねて配設されている。そのため、プッシュスイッチ100を回路基板にリフロー半田付けで実装する際に、熱が加わった場合でも、シート部材20の熱変形を補強部材10が抑制するので、シート部材20にしわが発生し難くなる。これにより、プッシュスイッチ100を操作した際に、シート部材20のしわが原因の異音の発生を抑制することができる。
 また、補強部材10が孔部HDを備えた環形状であるので、押子部材40が可動接点部材60と直接対向させることができ、押子部材40の押下操作に影響せず、操作者がプッシュスイッチ100を押下操作する際の操作感触の劣化を防ぐことができる。
 また、孔部HDの直径が押子部材40の直径に対して100%以上であるので、補強部材10が突出する押子部材40の部分を避ける構成となる。このため、補強部材10をシート部材20に貼り付けた際に、補強部材10が押子部材40に干渉することによる補強部材10とシート部材20との間に隙間や浮き上がり等が発生し難くなるので、シート部材20のしわの発生を抑制することができる。また、補強部材10の外径がドーム部DDの直径に対して150%以下であるので、補強部材10の貼り付け面積を確保することができる。このため、シート部材20のしわの発生をより抑制することができる。これらにより、プッシュスイッチ100を回路基板にリフロー半田付けで実装する際に、熱変形によるシート部材20のしわの発生をより効率的に抑制するとともに、プッシュスイッチ100の操作感触の劣化を防ぐことができる。
 また、補強部材10がシート部材20の上方(図4に示すZ1方向)に配設されているため、プッシュスイッチ100の組み立て作業性が良い。
 以上のように、本発明の実施形態に係るプッシュスイッチ100を具体的に説明したが、本発明は上記の実施形態に限定されるものではなく、要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々変更して実施することが可能である。例えば次のように変形して実施することができ、これらの実施形態も本発明の技術的範囲に属する。
 <変形例1>
 第1実施形態では、プッシュスイッチ100は垂直方向に押下操作されるタイプで説明したが、水平方向に操作されるサイドプッシュタイプのものでも良い。
 <変形例2>
 第1実施形態では、外部端子51にはメッキ処理が施されているが、回路基板のパターンとの半田付け性向上のため半田メッキ処理を行っても良い。
 <変形例3>
 第1実施形態では、補強部材10とシート部材20は、それぞれ別体で準備していたが、射出成形の2色成形加工を行うことで一体化したものが可動接点部材60を覆うようにベース部材30にレーザ溶着で接続しても良い。

Claims (6)

  1.  凹状に形成された収容部を有するベース部材と、
     該ベース部材の前記収容部内に露出して設けられた固定接点部材と、
     前記収容部内に配設され反転動作可能なドーム部が前記固定接点部材に接触可能な可動接点部材と、
     前記収容部を覆うように配設され前記可動接点部材を保持するシート部材と、
     前記ドーム部の頂部と前記シート部材との間に配設される押子部材と、を有するプッシュスイッチにおいて、
     前記シート部材よりも熱膨張係数が小さい材料からなるシート状の補強部材を有し、
     該補強部材は、前記シート部材に重ねて配設されていることを特徴とするプッシュスイッチ。
  2.  前記補強部材は、少なくとも前記シート部材の前記ベース部材との接合部から前記押子部材が配設される前記シート部材の中央部までの間で前記シート部材に重ねて配設されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のプッシュスイッチ。
  3.  前記補強部材は、円環形状であり、円環形状の幅は前記ドーム部の半径の40%以上であることを特徴とする請求項2記載のプッシュスイッチ。
  4.  前記補強部材は、平面視したときに、前記押子部材に対応する位置に孔部を備えた環形状であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のプッシュスイッチ。
  5.  前記押子部材は円柱状に形成され、
     前記補強部材は円環形状に形成され、
     前記補強部材の外径は、前記ドーム部の直径に対して150%以下であり、
     前記孔部の直径は、前記押子部材の直径に対して100%以上であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のプッシュスイッチ。
  6.  前記補強部材は、前記シート部材の上方に配設されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれかに記載のプッシュスイッチ。
