Abstract

La présente invention concerne un alliage de magnésium qui possède d'excellentes propriétés mécaniques et de résistance à la corrosion, ainsi qu'un procédé pour le fabriquer. L'alliage de magnésium contient de 0,001 partie en poids à 1,0 partie en poids de scandium pour 100 parties en poids de l'alliage de magnésium, le reste étant du magnésium et les impuretés inévitables et l'alliage de magnésium présentant une limite de solubilité solide de Fe augmentée et une aptitude à la corrosion réduite. La présente invention peut améliorer la résistance à la corrosion d'un alliage de magnésium par l'ajout de scandium, ce qui peut améliorer les propriétés passives d'un revêtement formé sur la surface et inhiber la micro-corrosion galvanique entre une matrice et des impuretés, sans détérioration des propriétés mécaniques. En conséquence, la présente invention fournit un alliage de magnésium qui peut être utile dans divers domaines, tels que des véhicules de transport (tels que des automobiles, des engins ferroviaires, des avions, des bateaux, etc.), des appareils électroménagers, des dispositifs médicaux, des produits nécessaires à la vie quotidienne, etc., squi nécessitent une réduction de poids et une biodégradabilité. En particulier, l'invention permet d'obtenir un alliage de magnésium qui peut être utile dans le domaine des dispositifs médicaux tels que des implants, tels qu'une endoprothèse et une plaque, qui entrent en contact avec le corps.
