Definitions
- the invention relates to a work space cover for a machine tool, in particular a machine tool for machining workpieces.
- Workspace covers of the type mentioned serve to delineate the working space of a machine tool against inner spaces of the same, in which there are guides, drives, measuring equipment and the like.
- a lamellae known to which a zigzag folded bellows and a lamellar arrangement belong The bellows serves as a plate carrier and is movably guided along a direction of movement. Depending on the bellows position and movement, the slats are pushed together into a package or pulled apart from a flat lamellar armor. The lamellae overlap each other and keep chips originating from the workpiece processing away from the bellows.
- the lamellar armor has a good shielding effect. Nevertheless, it can not be ruled out that materials can escape from the working space behind the lamellar armor and thus to the lamella carrier. Such substances or objects can cause damage. In particular, they can accumulate in disk pockets, which are provided at the stationary end of the laminated armor for receiving the disk pack.
- the plate carrier is associated with a chip channel for the removal of shives behind the lamellae.
- This shavings channel extends along the to Example horizontal or vertical direction of movement of the plate carrier. If chips arrive behind the lamellar shell during the work of the machine tool, these chips can be removed via the chip channel.
- This allows operation of the machine tool with reduced respect for the lamellae.
- This consists of mutually partially overlapping lamellae, which can be pushed together to form a disk set or pulled out to a flat tank. Especially when pushing together it can happen with high dynamics that chips, abrasion, coolants or other substances behind the slats and thus reach the slats ⁇ carrier. If such substances are safely removed, it is possible to work with high dynamics, in particular high or increased accelerations, by carriages or other moving parts of the machine tool whose guides and / or drives are separated from the working space by the working space cover.
- the chip channel preferably has two extending in the direction of movement of the disk carrier walls, between which the disk carrier is movably held or guided.
- separate means such as guide rails or the like may be present.
- the leadership of the disk carrier can also be taken over by the two walls. What is essential is a sufficient free space in the chip channel for receiving fluids and objects that have come from the working space of the machine tool to the plate carrier.
- the plate carrier may be formed by an uninterrupted trained (closed) folded sheet or by a structure having a plurality of openings. However, the closed mold better prevents further carryover of fluids or objects from the working space into the area behind the plate carrier.
- One of the walls of the chip channel preferably extends into a gap which is formed between the lamellae and the plate carrier. Verso adhering to the strip cladding fluids or particles can freely drop from ⁇ . Front-adhered particles or fluids can do likewise.
- the material dripping from the lamellar tank falls into a chip discharge duct which extends below the working space of the machine tool. However, the material (particles and fluids) that has reached the plate carrier is transferred into the chip channel.
- the chip channel is preferably open on the bottom side. This is especially true for work space covers with horizontal direction of movement. When working space covers with vertical direction of movement of the chip channel may also have a closed bottom and be frontally open. The contaminants (particles and fluids) then flow vertically, i. in the direction of movement. In the case of a horizontal direction of movement, on the other hand, they also flow vertically, but thereby transversely to the direction of movement.
- a receiving pocket can be provided for this.
- the receiving pocket of the laminated armor is connected to the chip channel.
- a purging device can, for example rinse fluid (gas, air, liquid, eg clean coolant lubricant) between the lamellar shell and the plate guide, that this space is cleaned. It is alternatively or additionally also possible, which at the (relative to the direction of movement) stationary end of the laminated armor arranged pockets for the disk packs with a To provide flushing device.
- a purging device can, for example rinse fluid (gas, air, liquid, eg clean coolant lubricant) between the lamellar shell and the plate guide, that this space is cleaned.
- rinse fluid gas, air, liquid, eg clean coolant lubricant
- Each above Spüleinrich ⁇ processing can permanently or temporarily, for example, be periodically or le ⁇ diglich required, active.
- the plate carrier has a machine frame side end and a carriage-side end.
- the machine frame side end is stationary in the direction of movement (stationary) while the carriage-side end is movable together with the carriage.
- the working area cover according to the invention it ⁇ enables high carriage speeds and accelerations carriage without regard to the direction of movement, that is, whether it is directed against or in overlapping direction of the slats of the slatted armor.
- the chip channel preferably leads into the central chip removal duct of the machine, which extends below the working space of the same. This guarantees easy and effective chip removal.

- the workpiece carrier 14 may carry a turntable 15 and / or other means for workpiece positioning.
- a chip removal channel 16 is arranged, which extends at least to a region below a working space cover 17, which delimits the working space 12 in a selected direction, for example, in particular in the Z direction.
- a work spindle 18 which is to be connected to a tool for machining the workpiece.
- the work spindle 18 is movable in at least one direction transverse to the Z direction, i. For example, in the X direction and in the Y direction, also it is driven in rotation.
- the work spindle 18 is supported by a carriage 19 which is mounted on two machine not further illustrated guides in the X direction and in the Y direction movable on the machine frame 13 and defined by position-controlled actuators movable.
- the mechanical components serving for this purpose lie in an interior of the machine tool 10 separated from the working space 12 by the working space cover 17.
- the workspace cover 17 comprises in the present embodiment, two partial covers 17a, 17b for the movement in the X direction and in the Y direction.
- Figure 2 illustrates the covers 17a and 17b again in front view and in a different position of the carriage 19th
- FIGS. 3 and 4 serve to illustrate the basic structure of a working space cover, using the example of workroom cover 17a.
- this has a laminated armor 20, which consists of individual strip-like plates 21, 22, 23, 24 of rigid material, such as sheet metal, in particular sheet steel.
- the individual slats are each connected along a long edge 25 to a slat carrier 26 located behind the slatted shell 20 as viewed from the working space 12. This is shown in FIG. 3 using the lamination 21 as an example.
- the other slats 22 to 24 are also connected to the plate carrier 26.
- the plate carrier 26 may be constructed in one or more parts.
- it comprises a zigzag folded sheet 28, which is made of, for example, a plastic composite material, impregnated or rubberized fabric or the like. It is designed as a flat bellows. From the adjoining the slats 21 to 24 points of the sheet 28, intermediate walls 29, 30 may be provided, etc., which run on a in Figure 3 only dash-dotted lines indicated guide means 31 such as a rail 31 ( Figure 4) slidably.
- Figure 4 illustrates the working space cover 17a again in cross section, taken along the dot-dash line IV-IV in Figure 3.
- the lower edge region 32 of the disk carrier 26 protrudes into a chip channel 33, which is formed between two preferably flat and parallel to each other oriented walls 34, 35.
- the chip channel is better understood from the figures 5 and 6.
- Figure 5 gives the view of the Rear side of the work space cover 17 free, for better illustration, the rear boundary of the chip removal channel has been omitted in the form of the wall 34.
- This wall 34 may be formed by a separate sheet or by a surface of the machine frame.
- the chip channel 33 is free below the plate carrier 26, wherein it tapers in a funnel shape toward a lower end which, as can be seen in FIG. 1, opens into the chip removal channel 16.
- the lamellae 20 may be associated with a receiving pocket 36, in which the lamellae 20 is inserted when it is pushed together.
- This receiving pocket 36 can be separated from the working space by a wall 37, wherein this wall 37 and thus the underlying pocket, as shown in FIG. 1, can also be located outside the working space 12.
