Definitions
- the present invention provides a system for evacuating feces and urine from the toilet (WC) without the intervention of water in the system, more specifically a dry human waste disposal system that eliminates 100% the use of drinking water or any type of water of water in a toilet.
- the latrine although it is a simple technological solution, still poses problems, all the more the higher the population density. The problem is exacerbated because, although it seems a lie, the gases released by the latrine well are potentially dangerous. Hence, most of them are built outside buildings and with good ventilation. The second problem is the possible contamination of drinking water. Many cultures drank from springs or wells near their homes, and excavated a well to store excreta, which could eventually filter the Organic waste to nearby water sources and contaminating the supply was serious, since it could bring many complications. This is because when it rains, water seeps through the ground until it reaches the water table, crossing the well.
- the particularity of the toilet is that it has an angled drain, so that water is retained in it, forming a hydraulic closure or siphon, which prevents the passage of unpleasant odors.
- the hauling of organic matter to sanitation requires a device that produces a discharge of large water flow in a very short time, leaving nothing more than clean water in the elbow of the hydraulic seal.
- This device can be a cistern or a special valve called a flowmeter.
- the cisterns which can be high (fixed to the wall at a height of almost two meters) or low, have a filling mechanism, with a level valve, which cuts the water inlet when it reaches a certain level, and of another download, operated by the user. Because of its position, the high cistern requires less water to operate.
- the present invention provides a dry human waste disposal system that eliminates 100% the use of drinking water or any type of water in a toilet, comprising:
- At least one toilet that is shaped like a conical shaped cylinder that is bent or curved inward, as it moves towards the bottom of the toilet;
- an electronic sensor that detects the activation of the evacuation system
- an outlet valve located at the bottom of said at least one toilet, which opens and closes automatically when the evacuation system is activated
- a vacuum pump of the side channel type of variable size capable of displaying a vacuum suction capacity according to the number of connected toilets
- a controlling unit that provides control of the vacuum pump when the evacuation system is activated
- Figure 1 shows a general block diagram of the toilet system of the present invention.
- the present invention has been developed based on existing technology in the market to evacuate the toilet or WC but does not require water.
- the system seeks to redesign / re-invent the WC and how a traditional toilet works and how the waste arrives in the sewage sewage system, eliminating 100% the use of drinking water or 7 000005 of any type of water.
- the evacuation system (100) of human wastes without water is designed for operation in residential and commercial locations and emulates the operation of the toilets of passenger airplanes. It includes a redesigned toilet (1) that is shaped like a conical shaped cylinder that is bent or curved inward, as it moves towards the bottom of the toilet. Unlike the traditional earthenware bowl, which is extremely porous and that by design serves to "evacuate by sweeping" by large displacement of water, the toilet (1) has a curvature in its design that offers a minimum contact surface, something similar to a funnel, to reduce the contact surface and thereby adherence.
- the evacuation system (100) of human waste without water integrates a vacuum pump (13) of variable size, depending on the scalability of the system to be installed.
- a vacuum pump (13) of variable size, depending on the scalability of the system to be installed.
- One option is to have a small side channel vacuum pump with a capacity of 200 to 250 cubic meters per hour (m 3 / h), as used in the prototype, to operate a single toilet (1).
- the power of the vacuum pump is sufficient to expel the waste into the sewer pipeline, as part of their suction process.
- the design for a toilet located very close to the sewer pipeline does not need an intermediate compression valve (14), being able to complete the evacuation process only with the suction power of the pump (13).
- the evacuation system (100) of human waste without water also has the design option in which two or several toilets (1) are connected to a single vacuum pump (13) with adequate capacity and power.
- the vacuum pump (13) is still of the side channel type but must have a suction capacity of at least 800 m 3 / h.
- the vacuum pump (13) performs the suction process of one or several toilets at the same time (depending Of demand).
- Each of the toilets will be connected to a pipe or pipeline (5) of PVC or similar material, which in turn is connected to the vacuum pump (13) with intake for each toilet.
- the operation of each toilet (1) is independent of the others and operates by an electronic signal, coming from a controller unit (7) that activates the vacuum pump (13) for evacuation by suction.
- the capacity of the vacuum pump (13) in this case must be such that it allows you to operate one or several toilets (1) at the same time, depending on the demand at a given time. To do this, it must be able to display a vacuum suction capacity (work) that varies in a range determined by the capacity of the vacuum pump (13). In this way, to evacuate two or more toilets (1) at the same time, the vacuum pump (13) when required, deploys a greater or lesser suction force by means of a variable pressure difference controlled automatically by the controller unit (7).
- the evacuation system (100) of human waste without water operates each toilet (1) automatically, once the user has finished using the toilet. It does so in two possible ways: a) through an electronic sensor (11) that detects the discharge of the waste into the toilet or b) through manual activation with a pedal or button (3).
- the toilet (1) has at the bottom of its structure (at the base) an outlet connection where the waste is sucked.
- This opening comprises a valve (2) or outlet gate that automatically opens and closes the controller unit (7), opens for suction and closes after vacuum suction performed by the vacuum pump (13). Therefore, the outlet valve (2) located at the bottom of the toilet (1) is part of the integral evacuation circuit and is directly connected to the vacuum pump (13).
- the conical cylinder-shaped toilet (1) that collects waste through which feces and toilet paper are sucked, is connected to a pipe or pipeline (5) of PVC or similar material, which in turn is connected to the vacuum pump (13).
- the toilet (1) without water sucks and expels waste through that pipeline or pipeline (5).
- the design is different.
- it is required that it also incorporates an intermediate compression valve (14) that is part of the pipeline itself (5), and that is located after a vacuum chamber (6).
- This vacuum chamber (6) is where the vacuum is produced by pressure difference of the system to perform the suction.
- the intermediate understanding valve body (14) comprises a spring and a compression nut, with an intermediate shaft, if if necessary, and is available in the market.
- This intermediate compression valve (14) that is located just towards the end of the PVC pipe or pipe (5) (where the waste is sucked like a bulb) has the function of providing the suction system with an additional capacity to expel waste to the sewer (15).
- the intermediate compression valve (14) must be located just before the connection of the PVC pipe or pipe (5) with the drain to the sewer (15).
- the intermediate compression valve (14) provides the pressure necessary to carry the waste to the sewage or sewer pipe (15). It is important to note that the intermediate compression valve (14) is installed in the pipeline itself (5) and becomes part of the pipeline through which the waste is aspirated and which is responsible for expelling the waste directly to the system sewage or sewage (15). This is the case when the valve (2) or outlet gate is opened and the debris is sucked, by means of the pressure difference that the vacuum chamber (6) produces when the vacuum pump (13) is activated. For the waste to be transported quickly through the PVC pipeline or pipe (5) to the drain pipe (15) (which goes to the sewer), there must be an element that adds sufficient force to the suction to expel said waste.
- the controlling unit (7) is the one that controls the intermediate compression valve (14), and as the pipeline or pipe (5) through which the suction occurs is longer, the greater the distance with the duct of sewer (15), and greater the force that the intermediate compression valve (14) must have (valve with greater compression capacity).
- the waterless toilet system (100) has a series of sprinklers (not shown) that are installed along the upper inner edge of the toilet (1); and through these sprinklers a disinfectant liquid is poured which is also a fragrance, in the same way that occurs in aircraft toilets.
- a container (9) located behind the toilet (1) in a non-visible place and next to the controller unit (7) that controls the disposal system (100) of human waste.
- This disinfectant liquid is stored in an amount of 1 liter or a liter and a half and is the disinfectant and odor eliminator that can be replenished once it is finished. It is cheap and easy to prepare (a blue tablet is bought which dissolves in 20 liters of water, for sale in commerce and is supplied at the time of suction by the evacuation system (100) of human wastes without water.
- the evacuation system (100) of human waste without water also offers design variants in which the system can be mounted on the wall and whenever the user needs to use it, it only pulls out the toilet and seats to evacuate. A Once the debris is finished and evacuated, the system is again pushed or retracted inwards, stored inside the wall, just like some modern washing machine models.
- the vacuum pump (13) is connected to 2 or more toilets (1) at the same time.
- Each toilet (1) sends an electrical signal to the vacuum pump (13), which acts according to the suction demand for the disposal of the waste.
- a pipeline or pipeline (5) is provided with intermediate compression valves (14), located at strategic points to expel waste to the drain pipe, which ends in the sewer (15).
- the controller unit (7) sends a signal for the discharge of a disinfectant and aromatizer liquid a from the toilet (1) that has been used through a series of sprinklers that are distributed along the inner upper edge of said toilet (1).
- the proposal considers these variants and is flexible and adaptable to the needs of the enclosure or room that requires it in a particular mode of operation.
