Abstract
L'invention concerne un fluide de refroidissement (1) qui est conçu pour être introduit dans le péricarde (3) du cœur (2) et qui contient un cristalloïde ou un cristalloïde comportant des substances neutralisant les produits nocifs du métabolisme de l'oxygène. Selon une autre version, le fluide de refroidissement (1) contient une dose de médicament anti-arythmisant. Le cœur (2) est refroidi directement par le fluide de refroidissement (1) introduit par un cathéter péricardique (4) par des conduites de refroidissement (5) dans le péricarde (3). La quantité de fluide de refroidissement (1) introduit et retiré dans le péricarde (3) ainsi que sa température et sa pression à l'intérieur du péricarde (3) est contrôlée. La température dans le péricarde (3) est régulée en fonction des exigences cliniques dans la plage comprise entre 10 °C et 36 °C. Le sujet de l'invention est également un autre dispositif (11), un cathéter péricardique (4) et un autre fluide de refroidissement et son utilisation qui permet le maintien de la température dans la plage comprise entre 10 °C et 36 °C à l'intérieur du péricarde (3) pendant l'hypothermie cardiaque (2). L'invention sert à l'hypothermie cardiaque (2) directe en cas d'arrêt cardiaque (2), d'arythmie et dès lors qu'il est nécessaire de réduire le métabolisme de l'oxygène de tissu cardiaque (2), par exemple dans le cas de pontage, dans une maladie avancée de l'artère coronaire (2), dans la transplantation cardiaque (2), et peut être utilisée en tant que cardioprotection dans des procédures de type ITVA et valvuloplastie aortique, etc.
