油圧緩衝器
 本発明は油圧緩衝器に関し、特に車体側チューブの上部の長さを短縮できる油圧緩衝器に関するものである。
 二輪車や三輪車等の鞍乗型車両では、車輪を懸架する懸架装置として、車体側チューブと車輪側チューブとをテレスコピック型にした油圧緩衝器が主に用いられる。例えば、車輪側チューブにシリンダを設ける一方、シリンダに摺接するピストンを支持するロッドを車体側チューブに設けた油圧緩衝器が知られている(特許文献1から3)。特許文献1から3に開示される油圧緩衝器は、ロッドの上端に開口する上端開口とシリンダ内に開口する下端開口とを有する通路がロッドの内部に形成され、通路の上端開口からリザーバへ流出する作動油に流路抵抗を付与する制御弁が、車体側チューブの上部に配置される。これら油圧緩衝器は、車体側チューブ及び車輪側チューブの圧縮・伸長のいずれの場合も制御弁の開閉を調整して減衰力を調整できる。

 しかしながら特許文献1から3に開示される技術では、車体側チューブの上部に制御弁が配置されるので、車体側チューブの上部の長さが大きくなるという問題点がある。
 本発明は上述した問題点を解決するためになされたものであり、車体側チューブの上部の長さを短縮できる油圧緩衝器を提供することを目的としている。
 この目的を達成するために本発明の油圧緩衝器は、車体側および車輪側にそれぞれ配置されるテレスコピック型の車体側チューブ及び車輪側チューブと、車輪側チューブに設けられるシリンダと、シリンダの外側に区画されるリザーバと、車体側チューブに設けられるロッドと、ロッドの下端に設けられる、シリンダの内周面に摺接しシリンダを上方室と下方室とに区画するピストンと、ロッドの内部に形成される、ロッドの上端に開口する上端開口とシリンダ内に開口する下端開口とを有する通路と、車体側チューブの上部に設けられる制御弁と、を備えている。制御弁は、シリンダに対してロッドが出入する伸縮作動時に通路の上端開口からリザーバへ流出する作動油に流路抵抗を付与する。制御弁は、弁座を押圧し開閉する弁体を備え、シリンダの上方に斜めに配置される。

 車体側チューブ11は上端の開口がキャップ部材25によって塞がれており、車輪側チューブ12は下端の開口が車輪側ブラケット13によって塞がれている。車体側チューブ11及び車輪側チューブ12内に封入される気体や作動油が漏れ出ないように、車体側チューブ11と車輪側チューブ12とが重複する部分に形成される筒状の隙間はオイルシール等で塞がれる。油圧緩衝器10は、車体側チューブ11及び車輪側チューブ12に囲まれたシリンダ15の外側に、作動油を貯留し、貯留された作動油の液面(図示せず)から上方に気室を有するリザーバ26が形成される。油圧緩衝器10は、シリンダ15の底部にベースバルブ27が配置され、車体側チューブ11の上端のキャップ部材25に制御部40が配置される。
 次に図2を参照して、シリンダ15及びピストン19が内蔵するダンパの構成および動作を説明する。図2は油圧緩衝器10の油圧回路である。図2に示すように油圧緩衝器10は、ピストン19に伸側減衰弁28(以下「減衰弁28」と称す)及び圧側チェック弁30(以下「チェック弁30」と称す)を備え、ベースバルブ27に圧側減衰弁31(以下「減衰弁31」と称す)及び伸側チェック弁33(以下「チェック弁33」と称す)を備えている。
 減衰弁28は、油圧緩衝器10の伸長作動時に、上方室21から下方室20へ流通する作動油が絞り流路29を通るときの減衰作用を得るための弁である。減衰弁31は、油圧緩衝器10の圧縮作動時に、下方室20からリザーバ26へ流通する作動油が絞り流路32を通るときの減衰作用を得るための弁である。
 チェック弁30は、油圧緩衝器10の圧縮作動時に、下方室20から上方室21へ作動油を流通させるための弁である。チェック弁33は、油圧緩衝器10の伸長作動時に、リザーバ26から下方室20へ作動油を流通させるための弁である。ロッド16に配置されるチェック弁構造の整流装置34は、上方室21の圧力がリザーバ26の圧力に比べて高いときに、上方室21から下端開口23への作動油の流出を許容し、リザーバ26の圧力が上方室21の圧力に比べて高いときに、上方室21から下端開口23への作動油の流出を阻止する装置である。制御部40は可変絞り弁として機能する。
 以上のように構成される油圧緩衝器10は、収縮作動時にロッド16のシリンダ15への侵入でピストン19がシリンダ15を下降して上方室21が膨張する。通路22は整流装置34が接続されているので、通路22内の作動油は下端開口23から上方室21へ流出できない。膨張する上方室21に、収縮する下方室20の作動油がチェック弁30から流入する。
 下方室20はロッド16の侵入した体積に相当する量の作動油が余剰となるので、余剰の作動油は減衰弁31を通過してリザーバ26に流出する。このとき、絞り流路32による減衰作用が生じる。しかし、絞り流路32を通過する作動油の流路抵抗は、チェック弁30を通過する作動油の流路抵抗より大きいので、下方室20で余剰となる作動油の一部は、チェック弁30から上方室21へ流入する。上方室21は下方室20から流入する作動油の一部が余剰となるので、余剰の作動油は整流装置34を通過してリザーバ26に流出する。制御部40(可変絞り弁)はリザーバ26に流出する作動油に流路抵抗を付与するので、制御部40により減衰作用が生じる。
 一方、油圧緩衝器10が伸長作動すると、ロッド16がシリンダ15から退出してピストン19がシリンダ15を上昇するので、上方室21は収縮し、下方室20は膨張する。上方室21の余剰の作動油は、一部が減衰弁28を通過して下方室20へ流出し、残りが整流装置34を通過してリザーバ26へ流出する。このとき、絞り流路29による減衰作用と、制御部40(可変絞り弁)による減衰作用とが生じる。膨張する下方室20は、リザーバ26の作動油がチェック弁33から流入する。
 以上のように油圧緩衝器10は、減衰弁28及び減衰弁31により圧側および伸側の減衰作用が得られる。加えて、制御部40(可変絞り弁)が制御部40を通過する作動油に流路抵抗を付与するので、伸側および圧側の減衰作用を調整できる。油圧緩衝器10は制御部40により減衰作用に幅をもたせることができるので、二輪車(車両)の乗り心地を改善できる。また、制御部40は車体側チューブ11の上部に配置されるので、車体側チューブ11及び車輪側チューブ12の両方に制御部を配置する場合に比べて、油圧緩衝器10を軽量化できる。
 次に図3及び図4を参照して制御部40について説明する。図3は制御部40及び車体側チューブ11の上部の断面図であり、図4は制御弁60の断面図である。図3に示すように制御部40はキャップ部材25に固定されている。キャップ部材25は、ロッド16の上端開口24に連通する第1通路35が形成されている。第1通路35は、中心軸が、ロッド16の中心軸C1と一致する円筒状の通路である。
 キャップ部材25は、円筒状のスリーブ36が、下部の外周に固定されている。スリーブ36はフランジ37が上端に形成されている。フランジ37は、中心軸C1に沿って延びる円筒状の壁部38が外周に設けられている。壁部38は、キャップ部材25との間に、環状の空間である油溜室39(後述する)を形成するための部位である。
 図3に示すように制御部40は、駆動部50と制御弁60とを備えている。駆動部50は、円筒状のケース51の内側に収容された有底筒状の2つのコア52,53と、コア52,53の間に配置されたコイル54と、コア53及びコイル54の内側に配置されたヨーク55と、ヨーク55に支持された弁棒56とを備えている。ブッシュ57は弁棒56の両端を移動自在に支持する。コア53は固定鉄芯であり、ヨーク55は可動鉄芯なので、コイル54に通電して磁界が発生すると、弁棒56の中心軸C2に沿う軸方向の操作力をヨーク55に与える。ケース51は、キャップ部材25に形成された孔部58に収装されている。
 車両のハンドル等に駆動部50を操作するスイッチ(図示せず)を配置することにより、操縦者による駆動部50の操作を可能にし、操縦者の好みに合わせて車両の乗り心地を改善できる。また、車輪に入力される振動、車体の速度や加速度、ブレーキ操作、懸架装置の伸縮状態等を検出し、その検出結果に応じて駆動部50が作動するようにしても良い。
 図4に示すように制御弁60は、キャップ部材25に形成された有底円筒状の凹部61が、弁箱の一部を構成する。凹部61は、第1通路35と距離をあけてキャップ部材25に形成されており、孔部58の軸方向に連続する。凹部61は、底面(底部)が、第1通路35の上端よりも深い位置に形成されている。凹部61は、底面の中央に当接部62が形成されている。当接部62(底部の一部)は、中心に向かうにつれて内径が小さくなる円錐面状の傾斜面である。当接部62は、中央に、キャップ部材25を貫通して油溜室39に接続する第2通路63が形成されている。当接部62と第2通路63との境界が、制御弁60の流路の出口64である。キャップ部材25は、凹部61の側面と第1通路35とを連絡する環状の第3通路65が形成されている。
 胴66は凹部61と共に弁箱を構成する円筒状の部材であり、軸方向の長さが、凹部61の深さより小さい値に設定されている。よって、胴66は凹部61の深さ方向に移動可能である。胴66は、流路の入口67が、側部を貫通して形成されている。入口67は第3通路65に接続する位置に形成されており、第3通路65は、第1通路35から入口67へ向かうにつれて中心軸C1に対して上昇傾斜する。本実施の形態では、胴66は弁座72(後述する)と一体化されている。
 胴66は弁棒56の中心軸C2と中心軸を共有する。胴66は、中心軸C2とロッド16の中心軸C1とが鋭角に交わるように、キャップ部材25に斜めに配置されている。よって、中心軸C2とロッド16の中心軸C1とを平行に制御弁60を配置する場合に比べて、車体側チューブ11の軸直角方向の断面積に占める制御弁60の面積を小さくできる。その結果、車体側チューブ11の上部(キャップ部材25)に制御弁60を配置するスペースを確保できる。胴66は第1通路35に対して軸直角方向の外側に斜めに配置されるので、第1通路35の軸方向に胴66を配置する場合に比べて、胴66の上端までの中心軸C1方向の長さを短縮できる。また、中心軸C2と中心軸C1とが鋭角に交わるようにするので、第1通路35及び第3通路65の短い通路によって、簡易に制御弁60の入口67とロッド16の上端開口24とを接続できる。
 蓋68は、凹部61の内側に流路を形成するための円盤状の部材であり、凹部61の上部に配置されている。蓋68は、厚さ方向に貫通する弁体ガイド69が中央に形成されている。弁体ガイド69は、弁棒56及び弁体77が挿入される部位であり、中心軸C2に沿って移動自在に弁体77を支持する。蓋68は、弁体ガイド69の周囲の内面に、中心軸C2に沿って軸方向に延びる棒状の弁座ガイド70が複数設けられている。弁座ガイド70は、弁座72及び胴66の中心軸C2回りの回転を規制すると共に、中心軸C2に沿って弁座72を移動自在に支持する部位である。弁座ガイド70は、中心軸C2に沿って延びる溝71が、弁座ガイド70の内面に形成されている。溝71は流路(後述する上流側流路80)の一部を構成する。
 弁座72は、円環状の締切り面75が一端に形成される円筒状の部材であり、胴66と一体的に形成されている。弁座72は、中心軸C2に沿って配置される円筒状の筒部73と、筒部73の駆動部50側の外周から径方向外側へ向けて鍔状に張り出す押圧力発生部74とを備えている。締切り面75は、押圧力発生部74の中心に形成されている。筒部73は、弁棒56の中心軸C2と中心軸を共有する。
 弁座72は、締切り面75の反対側の端面76の外径(筒部73の外径)が、当接部62の外径より小さく設定されている。そのため、弁座72は端面76が当接部62に密着する。弁座72は、端面76が当接部62に当接した状態で、締切り面75の軸方向の先端と蓋68の内面との間に軸方向の距離(空間)が設けられるように、軸方向の長さが設定されている。弁座72と同様に、胴66は、端面76が当接部62に当接した状態で、胴66の端面と蓋68の内面との間に軸方向の距離(空間)が設けられるように、軸方向の長さが設定されている。
 押圧力発生部74は、弁座72の端面76が当接部62に当接した状態で、弁座ガイド70の内側に位置する大きさ(長さ)に設定されている。押圧力発生部74は、外径が、弁座ガイド70の内径より少し小さめに設定されているので、弁座72は、弁座ガイド70によって軸方向へ移動可能に案内される。
 押圧力発生部74は、中心軸C2と交差する締切り面75側の面(締切り面75を含む面)の面積が、中心軸C2と交差する端面76側の面(筒部73から張り出した円環状の面)の面積より大きい。よって、流路を流れる作動油の圧力が押圧力発生部74に作用して、弁座72の端面76を当接部62へ押し付ける軸方向の推力が生じる。その結果、弁座ガイド70によって軸方向へ案内される弁座72は、作動油の圧力によって当接部62へ押し付けられる。
 弁体77は、作動油の流れを制御するための部材であり、弁閉止時に弁座72の締切り面75の全周に先端78が接触する。弁体77は、弁棒56によって駆動部50からの操作力(中心軸C2上の往復運動)が伝達される。弁体77は、弁棒56の中心軸C2と中心軸を共有する。弁体77は先端78が円錐状に形成されており、円柱状の側面79が弁体ガイド69の内周面を摺動する。弁体77は、外径が、締切り面75の外径より僅かに大きく設定されている。
 制御弁60は、弁座72の端面76の全面が当接部62に接触した状態で、凹部61や胴66等の弁箱、蓋68及び弁座72等により、入口67から締切り面75までの上流側流路80と、締切り面75から出口64までの下流側流路81とが形成される。弁座72の端面76の一部が当接部62から離れると、作動油は締切り面75を通過することなく当接部62を通って出口64へ流れるので、上流側流路80と下流側流路81とが短絡する。弁座72の端面76は、端面76と当接部62との間を流れる作動油に流路抵抗を付与する。
 制御弁60は、凹部61の底面と弁座72の押圧力発生部74(端面76側の面)との間にばね82(本実施の形態では円錐コイルばね)が配置されている。キャップ部材25は、凹部61の底面(上流側流路80)とロッド16の上端開口24とを連通する絞り流路83が形成されている。弁座72の端面76が当接部62に突き当たるときに、胴66は凹部61の底面に端面が突き当たらない大きさに形成されているので、絞り流路83は、凹部61側の開口が胴66によって塞がれない。
 ばね82は、弁座72の端面76が当接部62に当接した状態で、凹部61の底面と押圧力発生部74とに挟まれて圧縮される。ばね82は圧縮されると、当接部62から端面76が離れる方向へ弁座72を付勢する弾性エネルギーを蓄積する。本実施の形態では、ばね82は、作動油の圧力が押圧力発生部74に作用して生じる軸方向の推力が、ばね82が蓄積する弾性エネルギーによる弾性力より大きくなるように自由長やばね定数等が設定される。その結果、弁座72から弁体77が離れる開弁時も、弁座72は、端面76が当接部62へ押し付けられる。
 一方、弁座72は、作動油の圧力が押圧力発生部74に作用して生じる軸方向の推力が、ばね82が蓄積する弾性エネルギーによる弾性力より小さくなると、弁棒56を介して駆動部50からの操作力が弁体77に伝達されないときは、ばね82によって端面76が当接部62から離れる。胴66は弁座72と一体化されているので、胴66は、凹部61に案内されて弁座72と共に軸方向(蓋68側)へ移動する。胴66が軸方向(蓋68側)へ移動して入口67がキャップ部材25(凹部61の内面)で完全に塞がれると、作動油は入口67を通って上流側流路80へ流入できなくなる。そのときは、作動油は絞り流路83を通って上流側流路80へ流入する。なお、弁座72及び胴66が軸方向(蓋68側)へ移動して入口67の半分程度がキャップ部材25(凹部61の内面)で塞がれると、作動油は入口67及び絞り流路83の両方を通って上流側流路80へ流入する。
 弁座72の端面76が当接部62から離れることで上流側流路80と下流側流路81とが短絡し、作動油は締切り面75を通過することなく当接部62を通って出口64へ流れる。よって、電源の喪失等によって駆動部50からの操作力が消失したときには、ばね82により、上流側流路80と下流側流路81とを短絡させ(フェイルオープン)、通路22からリザーバ26への作動油の流れを確保できる。その結果、駆動部50からの操作力が消失したときも、絞り流路83による減衰力は確保できる。
 制御弁60は、駆動部50からの操作力により弁体77と弁座72の締切り面75との隙間(流路)の面積を調整して、リザーバ26に流出する作動油に流路抵抗を付与するので、制御部40により減衰作用を生じさせることができる。
 制御弁60は、駆動部50からの操作力が弁体77に伝達されるとき(駆動部50からの操作力が消失していないとき)であっても、ばね82の弾性力や押圧力発生部74の面積等の設定により、作動油の圧力や弁体77の操作力に応じて、弁座72及び胴66が軸方向へ移動するようにできる。弁座72及び胴66が軸方向上側へ移動すると、入口67から制御弁60へ作動油が流入するだけでなく、絞り流路83からも作動油が制御弁60へ流入する。弁座72が弁体77と共に軸方向上側へ移動すると、作動油の流れを入口67から絞り流路83へ切り換えることができる。弁体77の操作による減衰作用だけでなく、絞り流路83による減衰作用が生じるので、減衰力を調整できる。
 ばね82が弁座72を軸方向上側へ押し上げ、弁座72の端面76が当接部62から離れると、端面76と当接部62との隙間から作動油が出口64へ流出する。弁座72の端面76は出口64へ流出する作動油に流路抵抗を発生させ、減衰力を生じさせる。制御弁60は、弁座72の端面76と当接部62との隙間(流路)の面積に応じて減衰力を調整できる。
 制御弁60は、弁座72に対する弁体77の押圧力と、ばね82による弁座72の反力とのバランスにより作動油の圧力に応じた流路抵抗を発生させるように、駆動部50からの弁体77の操作力、ばね82の弾性力、作動油による押圧力発生部74の推力等が設定されている。よって、制御弁60の減衰力を細やかに調整できる。
 また、制御弁60はシリンダ15の上方に斜めに配置されているので、制御弁60を斜めに配置しない場合に比べて、車体側チューブ11の上部(キャップ部材25から上の部分、制御部40)の軸方向(中心軸C1方向)の寸法を短縮できる。その結果、油圧緩衝器10を車両に取り付けたときの操縦者の違和感を軽減できる。特に制御弁60は、第1通路35の軸直角方向の外側に下部が配置されているので、制御弁60を第1通路35の軸方向上側に配置した場合に比べて、制御弁60と第1通路35とが重複する分だけ、さらに軸方向(中心軸C1方向)の寸法を短縮できる。
 なお、制御弁60は、上流側流路80が弁閉止時の弁体77の側面79を臨み、下流側流路81が弁閉止時の弁体77の先端78を臨む。下流側流路81は中心軸C2を含む流路であり、弁体77は中心軸C2上を往復する。制御弁60は、入口67が、弁体77及び弁座72の軸直角方向の外側の位置に形成されているので、入口67へ流入する作動油の流れ方向(中心軸C2と垂直)と、締切り面75から弁体77が離れる開弁時の弁体77の進行方向(中心軸C2に沿って駆動部50へ近づく方向)と、が異なる。
 上流側流路80を流れる作動油により弁体77に作用する力(圧力)の向き(中心軸C2と垂直ないしは弁体77の円錐状の先端78に垂直)と、締切り面75から弁体77が離れる開弁時の弁体77の進行方向(中心軸C2に沿って駆動部50へ近づく方向)と、が異なる。締切り面75を通過して上流側流路80から下流側流路81へ流下する作動油の流れ方向は、閉弁時の弁体77の進行方向(中心軸C2に沿って駆動部50から離れる方向)と同じである。上流側流路80の作動油の流れを駆動部50へ向かい難くできるので、上流側流路80を流れる作動油に含まれる気泡を駆動部50に溜まり難くできる。気泡溜りが駆動部50(特に弁棒56の上端)に生じると弁体77の応答性(即ち弁体77と弁座72の締切り面75との流路の調整の応答性)が低下するおそれがあるが、本実施の形態によれば気泡溜りを生じ難くできるので、これを抑制できる。
 これに対し従来は、ロッド16の通路22の上端開口24に対向するように弁体を配置し、上端開口24から吹き上げるように流出する作動油に流路抵抗を付与していた(上述の特許文献1及び3)。あるいは、ロッド16の通路22の上端開口24に対向するようにプッシュロッドを配置し、プッシュロッドによって作動油の圧力を弁体に伝達し、弁体を開くのに作動油の圧力を利用していた(上述の特許文献2)。
 これら従来技術は全て、ロッドの中心軸と駆動部の中心軸とが同一直線上にあり、上流側流路を流れる作動油により弁体に作用する力の向きと、締切り面から弁体が離れる開弁時の弁体の進行方向と、が同一である。作動油は、上流側流路において、弁体の軸方向に沿って弁体へ向かって流れている。従来技術では、上端開口24から流出する作動油に含まれる気泡が、ロッド16の中心軸C1上に配置される駆動部に溜まり易いという問題点がある。また、弁体77と弁座72との間の流路の調整のために、上端開口24から吹き上げるように流出する作動油の圧力に抗する操作力を弁体に与えなければならないので、駆動部の出力が大きくなるという問題点がある。
 本実施の形態によれば、ロッド16の中心軸C1と駆動部50の中心軸C2とが同一直線上に存在しないように駆動部50を配置し、作動油の流れ方向と弁体77が移動する方向とを設定したので、これらの問題点を全て解決することができ、気泡溜りを駆動部50に生じ難くすることができ、且つ、出力の小さい駆動部50を採用できる。
 さらに油圧緩衝器10によれば、制御弁60の出口64とリザーバ26との間に形成される油溜室39に作動油が貯留される。油溜室39は、壁部38の高さに応じた量の作動油を貯留できる。油溜室39に貯留する作動油によってリザーバ26から制御弁60への流体(特に気体)の逆流を抑制できるので、制御弁60への気泡の噛み込みを抑制できる。
 次に図5を参照して第2実施の形態について説明する。第1実施の形態では、制御部40とリザーバ26との間に油溜室39が配置される場合について説明した。これに対し第2実施の形態では、制御部40とリザーバ26との間に、リザーバ26から制御部40への流体の逆流を阻止する整流部91が配置される場合について説明する。なお、第1実施の形態で説明した部分と同一の部分については、同一の符号を付して以下の説明を省略する。図5は第2実施の形態における油圧緩衝器90の油圧回路である。
 図5に示すように油圧緩衝器90は、制御部40(制御弁60の出口64)とリザーバ26との間に整流部91が配置されている。整流部91はチェック弁構造の装置であり、制御弁60からリザーバ26への作動油の流出を許容する一方、リザーバ26から制御弁60への流体の流入を阻止する。整流部91によってリザーバ26から制御弁60への流体(特に気体)の逆流を抑制できるので、制御弁60への気泡の噛み込みを抑制できる。
 以上、実施の形態に基づき本発明を説明したが、本発明は上記実施の形態に何ら限定されるものではなく、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲内で種々の改良変形が可能であることは容易に推察できるものである。例えば弁座72、弁体77、上流側流路80及び下流側流路81の形状や大きさ等は適宜設定できる。
 上記実施の形態では、ピストン19及びベースバルブ27の両方に絞り流路29,32を設ける場合について説明したが、必ずしもこれに限られるものではなく、絞り流路29,32の一方または両方を省略して、減衰弁28や減衰弁31をそれぞれ伸側チェック弁や圧側チェック弁とすることは当然可能である。絞り流路29,32を省略しても、制御部40によって伸側や圧側の減衰作用を調整できる。
 上記実施の形態では、ピストン19及びベースバルブ27に減衰弁28及び減衰弁31を設け、ロッド16に整流装置34を設ける場合について説明したが、これら減衰弁28、減衰弁31及び整流装置34を省略することは当然可能である。この場合には、油圧緩衝器10,90の伸縮動作によって移動する作動油が、通路22から制御部40を通過する。減衰弁28、減衰弁31及び整流装置34を省略することによって、減衰弁28、減衰弁31及び整流装置34の分のコストを削減しつつ、制御部40によって伸側および圧側の減衰作用を調整できる。
 上記実施の形態では、ロッド16に形成された通路22の下端開口23が上方室21に開口する場合について説明したが、必ずしもこれに限られるものではなく、通路22を下方室20まで延長して、下端開口23を下方室20に開口させることは当然可能である。この場合も、上記実施の形態と同様の作用効果を実現できる。
 上記実施の形態では、ロッド16の中心軸C1と弁体77の中心軸C2とが鋭角に交わる場合について説明したが、必ずしもこれに限られるものではない。弁体77の中心軸C2の位置を変更して、中心軸C1と中心軸C2とをねじれの位置にすることは当然可能である。この場合も上記実施の形態と同様の作用効果を実現できる。なお、中心軸C1と中心軸C2とが鋭角に交わるものやねじれの位置にあるものに限らず、中心軸C1と中心軸C2とが平行になるように駆動部50及び制御弁60を配置することは当然可能である。上流側流路80を流れる作動油により弁体77に作用する力の向きと、締切り面75から弁体77が離れる開弁時の弁体77の進行方向と、を異ならせることにより、中心軸C1と中心軸C2とが平行であっても上記実施の形態と同様の作用効果を実現できるからである。
 上記実施の形態では、制御弁60の入口67を胴66の側部に設ける場合について説明したが、必ずしもこれに限られるものではない。胴66の入口67及び第3通路65を省略して、凹部61の底面に第1通路35を接続することは当然可能である。この場合には、凹部61の底面に形成される第1通路35の開口が、制御弁60の流路の入口である。
 上記実施の形態では、駆動部50は、コイル54に通電してコア53(固定鉄芯)とヨーク55(可動鉄芯)との作用により弁体77が中心軸C2上を往復する場合について説明した。しかしながら、これに限られるものではなく、他の駆動部および制御弁を採用することは当然可能である。他の駆動部や制御弁としては、例えば、モータの駆動軸の回転運動をねじにより弁体の直線運動に変換するもの、回転運動を行う弁体(例えばボール弁やロータリバルブ等)にモータの駆動軸の操作力を伝達するものが挙げられる。他の駆動部や制御部を採用した場合であっても、制御弁を斜めに配置することによって本実施の形態と同様の作用効果を実現し、車体側チューブ11の上部の軸方向(中心軸C1方向)の寸法を短縮できる。

Claims (5)

  1.  車体側および車輪側にそれぞれ配置されるテレスコピック型の車体側チューブ及び車輪側チューブと、
     前記車輪側チューブに設けられるシリンダと、
     前記シリンダの外側に区画されるリザーバと、
     前記車体側チューブに設けられるロッドと、
     前記ロッドの下端に設けられる、前記シリンダの内周面に摺接し前記シリンダを上方室と下方室とに区画するピストンと、
     前記ロッドの内部に形成される、前記ロッドの上端に開口する上端開口と前記シリンダ内に開口する下端開口とを有する通路と、
     前記車体側チューブの上部に設けられる、前記シリンダに対して前記ロッドが出入する伸縮作動時に前記通路の前記上端開口から前記リザーバへ流出する作動油に流路抵抗を付与する制御弁とを備え、
     前記制御弁は、弁座を押圧し開閉する弁体を備え、前記シリンダの上方に斜めに配置される油圧緩衝器。
  2.  前記上端開口に接続する前記制御弁の流路の入口とは異なる位置で前記制御弁の流路と前記上端開口とに連通する絞り流路を備え、
     前記制御弁は、前記弁座が前記弁体と共に移動可能に配置され、前記弁座の移動により前記絞り流路に流れを生じさせる請求項1記載の油圧緩衝器。
  3.  前記制御弁は、前記車体側チューブに配置されたキャップ部材内に収装され、前記弁体を押し返す方向へ前記弁座を付勢するばねを備え、前記弁座の締切り面の反対側の端面と前記キャップ部材に形成された底部とにより流路抵抗を発生させる請求項1又は2に記載の油圧緩衝器。
  4.  前記制御弁は、前記弁体の押圧力と前記弁座の反力とのバランスにより作動油の圧力に応じた流路抵抗を発生させる請求項3記載の油圧緩衝器。
  5.  前記制御弁の下流に配置された油溜室を備える請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の油圧緩衝器。
