Definitions
- mirrors and glass in general are extremely useful in various sectors, whether in clothing stores, gyms or, in some cases, may gain purely aesthetic characteristics, such as large glass. sized, used as decorative panels.
- a form of fixation to the wall is by means of "FRENCH BUTTON", which end up exposing part of its fasteners all the way to the edges of the mirror or the glass, resulting in a “polluted” visual aspect, removing the beauty provided by the mirrored effect of these objects.
- MU 6802185-2 entitled "MIRROR FIXING DEVICE” formed from rectangular plates having grooves at their ends and perpendicular to one another, glued by means of tape. adhesive on the rear face of the mirror so that through these slots can be hung on wall-mounted hooks and secure the mirror.
- brackets are for use with small glass or mirrors and may become ineffective, however, when installing large parts.
- the known supports may not support the imposed load due to the weight and size of these objects.
- most of these brackets remain exposed or partially exposed after installation.
- the set of brackets in question solves such problems for fixing glass and mirrors by means of a first piece or male bracket, previously fixed to the desired surface, and another piece, female bracket, glued to the rear face of the glass / mirror.
- This female holder has a housing whereby, when brought together with the glass / mirror, it is simply lowered and, by gravity (taking advantage of the very weight of this element to be installed), engaged in a chamfer of the male holder. already fixed to the installation surface.
- the glass / mirror is easily positioned, "hung” and supported from the upper edge of its rear face, with its front face exposed and the attachment assembly (male bracket and female bracket attached) concealed .

Of course, other shim units maintain the lower level of the glass / mirror.
- the "GLASS AND MIRROR MOUNTING, LEVELING AND INSTALLATION SYSTEM” is made up of a tongue-and-groove body (1). preferably rectangular, with chamfered lower edge (2) and centrally cast by oblong hole (3), with the front face flat (4), forming a perpendicular chamfer (6) on the rear face (5) followed by a wall in gradual thickness reduction (7) to the upper edge (8).
- the male support (1) works with a female support (9), as shown in figures 3, 4 and 5, preferably rectangular with open back body (10) incorporating ribs (11) formed only by lateral (12), lower (13) and upper (14) abutting edges which are bevelled (15) angled inwardly to delimit and cause slight reduction to the front face (16) of said bracket.

- Such stop (18) opens forming a gradually decreasing inner wall (19) to its access edge (20), forming a central housing (21) in the intermediate portion (22) of the front face (16), which is folded into the rear (10) of said socket (9).
- the female support (9) incorporates from its beveled upper edge (14) a series of shims (23) in perfect alignment. , equally open at their rear parts (10) with the ribs (11) and their abutment edges (12), (13) and (14) which, by the chamfers (15), further delimit the front faces (16) ) form thin lines (24) between said shims (23).
- the male support (1) and the female support (9) with their wedges (23) will be used to fix mirrors and remain fully concealed on the installation surface.
- male bracket units (1) are seated, each by its rear face (5) and fixed by its oblong hole (1). 3) through bolt passage (P), as shown 6A.
- the male supports (1) are positioned with their exposed flat front face (4) and, through their gradually decreasing thickness wall, form a gap (V) with the installation surface (S).
- the female support (9) has the leveling wedges (23) highlighted by the weakening lines (24) seen in 7A, the latter receiving double sided tape (FA). on its front faces (16), seen at 7B, and on the ribs (11) of the rear (10) of both the female support (9) and said leveling wedges (23), receiving "cords” modified silane adhesive (A), viewed at 7C, for the fixing the mirror glass (EV) (shown below).
- the mirror (E) is aligned by its rear face (FT) to the installation surface (S).
- the ramp coupling of the walls (19) and (7) occurs by simple action of gravity, in a delimited course between the access edge (20) and the internal stop (18) of the housing (21) and the chamfer (6) of the female support (9), seen at 11 C, depending on the glass / mirror (LV) from its upper edge, simultaneously with the backing and adherence of the leveling wedges (23) by their front faces ( 16) (which had the double-sided tape protection film removed) by gluing to the installation surface (S).
- the leveling wedges (23) of the lower edge of the glass / mirror (VE) keep their distance completely parallel to the installation surface (S), and assist in locking.
- the glass or mirror (LV) exposes its front face (FD), as shown in figure 12, being hung by the lock between the female supports (9) and the male supports (1) between the spans (V) formed on the installation surface (S) and at adequate distance thanks to the leveling wedges (23) at their lower edge, without lateral displacements and, above all, without sliding down due to the coupling, supporting any weight (depending on its size and thickness).
- the female bracket (9) can be fixed to the upper edge of the rear face (FT) of the glass / mirror (VE) with its leveling wedges (23) or be combined with more units of these wedges (23), as shown in figure 13.
- the grip area with the rear face (FT) of the glass / mirror (LV) is larger, giving it greater support from the upper edge, when hanging.
