- step S440 the devices having the other digital radio function receive the communication group setting information and confirm the received communication group setting information if there is a group participation permission (or implicit permission) from the corresponding user.
- step S490 devices having other digital radio functions store and set the received communication group setting information, thereby setting up a communication group including devices having the smart watch 100 and other digital radio functions.
- the devices having the smart watch 100 and other digital radio functions are switched to the reception standby mode. Then, communication between the devices having the digital radio function included in the communication group becomes possible.
- the communication between the devices having the digital radio function within the range in which the communication group setting information can be transmitted that is, within the communication range of the smart watch 100
- You can set up a group.
- there is a need to establish communication groups between so-called private communication groups i.e., devices with digital radio functionality within a limited range that is smaller than the wireless communication range. For example, a group of people gathered within a few meters to several tens of meters is to set up a communication group.
- FIG. 12 is a flowchart showing another embodiment of a communication group setting method of the smart watch 100 having a digital radio function according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- step S410 the smart watch 100 to which the communication group is to be set is set to the control mode.
- step S420 the control unit 140 of the smart watch 100 determines communication group setting information of the communication group to be set.
- the communication group setting information may include, for example, an ID of a device having a digital radio function to be included in the communication group, a pairing code, a master, a slave, a control INST, and the like.
- step S510 the control unit 140 of the smart watch 100 determines whether the communication group setting is the primary group setting. Here, if the communication group is already set, it is not the primary group setting, and if the current communication group is not set, the primary group setting can be determined.
- the control unit 140 of the smart watch 100 transmits the communication group setting information through the RF transceiver 150 and the antenna 220 (step S430) .
- the step S430 may be to transmit new communication group setting information to devices having the digital radio function of the already set communication group.
- step S520 the controller 140 of the smartwatch 100 transmits a DTMF (dual-tone multi-frequency) signal to the devices having a digital radio function within a limited range Communication group setting information.
- the DTMF signal is output to the sound through the sound output unit 180 (for example, a speaker). Since the sound reaches only a limited distance, it is possible to set the communication group among the devices having the digital radio function within a limited range Do.
- step S520 the controller 140 of the smart watch 100 determines whether the external speaker and the microphone of the smart watch 100 are in an ON state.
- the controller 140 of the smart watch 100 transmits the communication group setting information through the RF transceiver 150 and the antenna 220 because the external speaker and the microphone are not present or the sound is not turned on ).
- the control unit 140 of the smart watch 100 converts the communication group setting information into the DTMF signal in step S530.
- a DTMF signal has a frequency component of a 4 ⁇ 4 matrix
- a hexadecimal value can be represented by a superposition tone (combination of two frequencies).
- 13 is a diagram showing an example of a DTMF signal, in which each row represents a low-frequency component and each column represents a high-frequency component. As shown, a hexadecimal number from 0 to F can be expressed with a frequency component of 4 4 matrix.
- DTMF signals (superimposed tones) may be generated.
- step S540 the control unit 140 of the smart watch 100 transmits the DTMF signal to the outside through the voice output unit 180.
- the voice output unit 180 For example, eight superimposed tones are sequentially transmitted through the audio output unit 180.
- step S550 devices having other digital radio functions in the vicinity of the smart watch 100 receive the DTMF signal through the receiving unit 110 (e.g., a microphone).
- the receiving unit 110 e.g., a microphone
- the DTMF signal may be delivered within a few meters to ten meters . Accordingly, it becomes possible to set communication groups among devices having the digital radio function within the range of several meters to ten meters. If the frequency of the DTMF signal is set to the ultrasonic band, the DTMF signal can be transmitted and received even in a case where the ambient noise is high.
- step S560 when there is a group participation permission (or implicit permission) from the user, the control unit 140 of the devices having other digital radio functions receiving the DTMF signal decodes the received DTMF signal to acquire the communication group setting information .
- the control unit 140 of devices having other digital radiotelephone functions can obtain communication group setting information by restoring corresponding hexadecimal data from the received DTMF signal.
- step S490 devices having other digital radiotelephone functions are set and stored by setting the acquired communication group setting information so that a communication group including devices having the smart watch 100 and other digital radio functions is set.
- the devices having the smart watch 100 and other digital radio functions are switched to the reception standby mode. Then, communication between the devices having the digital radio function included in the communication group becomes possible.
- FIG. 14 is a flowchart showing another embodiment of a communication group setting method of the smart watch 100 having a digital radio function according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- step S410 the smart watch 100 to which the communication group is to be set is set to the control mode.
- step S420 the control unit 140 of the smart watch 100 determines communication group setting information of the communication group to be set.
- the communication group setting information may include, for example, an ID of a wireless communication device to be included in the communication group, a pairing code, a master, a slave, a control INST, and the like.
- step S520 the controller 140 of the smart watch 100 determines whether the external speaker and the microphone of the smart watch 100 are in an ON state. 12, the control unit 140 of the smart watch 100 converts the communication group setting information into a DTMF signal (step S530), and outputs the DTMF signal to the audio output unit 180 in step S540.
- step S520 If it is determined in step S520 that the external speaker and the microphone are not present or not in the ON state, the DTMF signal can not be used. Accordingly, the controller 140 of the smart watch 100 proceeds to step S610 to set a predetermined RSSI reference value And transmits it. Then, the device having the other digital radio function receiving the RSSI reference value can compare the RSSI reference value with the measured RSSI value, and determine whether to participate in the communication group according to the result. Since the RSSI measurements are distance dependent, this makes it possible to set up communication groups between devices with digital radio functionality within a limited range.
- the RSSI value may be used without using the DTMF signal, regardless of whether or not the external speaker and microphone can be used.
- steps S520 to S560 are omitted from the flowchart of FIG. 15, and if the primary group is set in step S510, the process may proceed directly to step S610.
- step S610 the controller 140 of the smart watch 100 determines whether to use the RSSI value in the communication group setting. At this time, it is possible to determine whether to use the RSSI value according to the user command or the preset.
- the controller 140 of the smart watch 100 transmits the communication group setting information through the RF transceiver 150 and the antenna 220 in step S430.
- the controller 140 of the smart watch 100 in step S620 includes a predetermined RSSI reference value in the communication group setting information.
- the communication group setting information may include the control INST.
- the RSSI reference value may be included in the Reserve 1 or Reserve 2 region of the control INST packet shown in FIG.
- step S630 the controller 140 of the smart watch 100 transmits the communication group setting information including the RSSI reference value through the RF transceiver 150 and the antenna 220.
- step S640 the devices having other digital radiotelephone functions receive the communication group setting information including the RSSI reference value through the antenna 220, and the controller 140 of the devices having other digital radiotelephone functions transmit the received communication group setting information And measures the RSSI value of the received signal.
- step S650 the controller 140 of the devices having other digital radio functions compares the measured RSSI value with the RSSI reference value extracted from the communication group setting information, and determines whether the measured RSSI value is equal to or greater than the RSSI reference value.
- the RSSI reference value may be set to an appropriate value according to a range to which a communication group is to be set, and may be changed according to a user setting. For example, if the range to set the communication group is several tens of meters, the RSSI reference value can be set to 90% of the maximum RSSI value.
- step S650 If it is determined in step S650 that the measured RSSI value is equal to or greater than the RSSI reference value, the control unit 140 of the devices having other digital radio functions confirms the received communication group setting information in step S660, ID, a pairing code, a master, a slave, and a control INST.
- step S490 devices having other digital radiotelephone functions store and set communication group setting information, thereby setting up a communication group including the devices having the smart watch 100 and other digital radio functions.
- the devices having the smart watch 100 and other digital radio functions are switched to the reception standby mode. Then, communication between the devices having the digital radio function included in the communication group becomes possible.

- the smart watch 100 may be set to the repeater mode.
- the controller 140 changes the transmission / reception ID and amplifies the radio signal received through the antenna 220 at a constant power And transmitted via the antenna 220.
- the smartwatches 100 of two or more repeater modes that have received the radio signal compare the strength of the received power through mutual communication, and the smartwatch 100 having the largest received power can perform the repeater function.
- the smartwatches 100 ID1, ID2, ID3 720, 730 and 740 (hereinafter referred to as devices ID1, ID2 and ID3 720, 730 and 740) Assume that, when set, device A 710 with digital radio functionality transmits a radio signal.
- the device B 750 having the digital radio function can not receive the radio signal directly from the device A 710 a long distance.
- Device ID1, ID2, and ID3 720, 730, and 740 respectively receive signals from device A 710 and compare the strength of received power through mutual communication. Then, the apparatus ID1 720 having the highest received power amplifies the signal from the apparatus A 710 and transmits it again.
- Device ID2 and ID3 730 and 740 respectively receive signals transmitted by device ID1 720 and compare strength of received power through mutual communication. Then, the device ID3 740 having the highest received power amplifies the signal received from the device ID1 720, and transmits the amplified signal.
- Device B 750 then receives a wireless signal from device ID 3 740.
- device B 750 may receive the signal transmitted by device ID 1 720, since the power of the signal received from device ID 3 740 is greater, so that the signal received from device ID 3 740 .
- the signal transmitted by the device A 710 is transmitted to the device B 750 via the device ID 1 720 and the device ID 3 740.
- the signal transmitted by device B 750 will be delivered to device A 710 via device ID 3 740, device ID 1 720.
