Description

가압 경수로형 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법
본 개시는 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 가압 경수로형 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법에 관한 것이다.
전세계적으로 화석 에너지가 고갈됨에 따라, 주요한 에너지원으로서 원자력발전을 사용하고 있다. 이러한 원자력 발전에서 일반적으로 사용되는 가압 경수로형(Pressurized Water Reactor, PWR) 원자력 발전소는 원자로를 순환하는 1차 계통, 증기 발생기를 순환하는 2차 계통, 그리고 복수기를 순환하는 3차 계통으로 구성된다. 구체적으로 1차 계통에서는 원자로 속에 들어 있는 냉각재에 압력을 가해 150 기압 300℃ 정도를 유지하고, 2차 계통에서는 이 냉각재가 증기 발생기 세관을 통과하면서 증기 발생기 측의 물을 끓여 수증기를 만들어 터빈을 돌린다. 그리고, 3차 계통에서는 터빈을 돌리고 난 증기는 복수기를 통과하면서 다시 물이 되어 증기 발생기로 보낸다.
이러한 가압 경수로형 원자력 발전소의 원자로는 외부의 압력 용기, 압력 용기보다 작은 직경으로 형성되어 압력 용기의 중심에 설치되는 노심 베럴로 구성되는 원자로 용기를 포함한다. 노심 배럴의 내부에는 핵연료봉이 장입되는 노심(Core)이 위치하며, 노심 베럴과 압력 용기 사이에는 직경차이에 의한 고리형상의 공간인 강수부가 형성된다. 그리고, 압력 용기에 연결되어 냉각수의 순환통로가 되는 다수의 저온관과, 저온관을 통해 유입되어 강수부와 노심을 지나면서 가열된 냉각수가 증기 발생기쪽으로 흐르도록 노심 베럴에 연결되는 고온관(Hot Leg)을 포함한다.
이러한 가압 경수로형 원자력 발전소에는 원자로를 지지하고 중성자를 차폐하여 작업자의 방사선 피폭을 방어하기 위한 철근 콘크리트 구조물로서, 생체 보호 콘크리트가 설치된다.
생체 보호 콘크리트는 복수개의 층의 적층하여 형성된 대형의 원통형 철근 콘크리트 구조물로서, 생체 보호 콘크리트는 방사성 물질로 가장 심하게 오염되므로, 수명이 만료되어 영구 정지된 가압 경수로형(PWR) 원자력 발전소의 해체 시, 작업자가 피폭되기 쉽다. 해체 장치를 생체 보호 콘크리트에 투입하기 위해 생체 보호 콘크리트에 홀을 형성하는 경우에 방사성 분진이 발생되므로 방사성 피폭 및 방사성 분진의 이동 우려가 있다. 또한, 생체 보호 콘크리트에 홀을 형성하는 공정이 추가되므로, 해체 공정 시간이 증가하게 된다.
본 실시예는 해체 공정 시간을 단축하고 작업자의 피폭을 최소화할 수 있는 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법에 관한 것이다.
일 실시예에 따른 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법은 원자로를 둘러싸는 생체 보호 콘크리트에 설치된 중성자 감지 위치 조절기를 해체하여 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트에 복수개의 관통부를 형성하는 단계, 상기 복수개의 관통부로 절단 장치의 일부를 투입하는 단계, 그리고 상기 절단 장치를 이용하여 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트를 복수개의 서브 콘크리트로 분해하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 생체 보호 콘크리트의 내부에 원자로 해체 장치를 투입하여 상기 원자로를 해체하는 단계를 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 생체 보호 콘크리트는 원통형 내벽과 육면체형 외벽을 가지며, 상기 관통부는 상기 원통형 내벽으로부터 상기 육면체형 외벽까지 연장될 수 있다.
상기 관통부는 상기 원통형 내벽에서 상기 육면체형 외벽으로 갈수록 직경이 작아질 수 있다.
상기 중성자 감지 위치 조절기는 상기 원자로에 인접하는 중성자 감지기, 상기 중성자 감지기를 이동시키는 외부 조절기, 그리고 상기 중성자 감지기와 상기 외부 조절기를 서로 연결시키며 상기 생체 보호콘크리트를 관통하는 연결 부재를 포함하고, 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트에 설치된 중성자 감지 위치 조절기를 해체하는 단계는 상기 외부 조절기를 이용하여 상기 중성자 감지기를 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트 내벽에 밀착시키는 단계, 상기 외부 조절기와 상기 연결 부재 사이를 절단하는 단계, 그리고 상기 연결 부재를 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트로부터 분리하여 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트에 상기 관통부를 형성하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 중성자 감지 위치 조절기는 상기 중성자 감지기 하부에 설치된 이송부를 더 포함하고, 상기 이송부를 이용하여 상기 중성자 감지기를 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트 내벽까지 이동시킬 수 있다.
상기 절단 장치는 와이어 쏘를 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에 따르면, 생체 보호 콘크리트에 추가 코어링 작업 없이, 생체 보호 콘크리트 내부에 설치된 중성자 감지 위치 조절기의 관통부로 해체 장치를 투입하여 절단 및 해체 공정을 진행함으로써, 별도의 코어링 작업이 없어도 되므로 해체 공정 시간을 단축시킬 수 있다.
또한, 별도의 코어링 작업이 없으므로 방사성 분진의 발생을 최소화시킬 수 있어 작업자의 피폭을 최소화할 수 있다.

이하, 첨부한 도면을 참고로 하여 본 발명의 여러 실시예들에 대하여 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자가 용이하게 실시할 수 있도록 상세히 설명한다. 본 발명은 여러 가지 상이한 형태로 구현될 수 있으며 여기에서 설명하는 실시예들에 한정되지 않는다.
본 발명을 명확하게 설명하기 위해서 설명과 관계없는 부분은 생략하였으며, 명세서 전체를 통하여 동일 또는 유사한 구성요소에 대해서는 동일한 참조 부호를 붙이도록 한다.
또한, 도면에서 나타난 각 구성의 크기 및 두께는 설명의 편의를 위해 임의로 나타내었으므로, 본 발명이 반드시 도시된 바에 한정되지 않는다.
도면에서 여러 층 및 영역을 명확하게 표현하기 위하여 두께를 확대하여 나타내었다. 그리고 도면에서, 설명의 편의를 위해, 일부 층 및 영역의 두께를 과장되게 나타내었다. 층, 막, 영역, 판 등의 부분이 다른 부분 "위에" 또는 "상에" 있다고 할 때, 이는 다른 부분 "바로 위에" 있는 경우뿐 아니라 그 중간에 또 다른 부분이 있는 경우도 포함한다.
또한, 명세서 전체에서, 어떤 부분이 어떤 구성요소를 "포함" 한다고 할 때, 이는 특별히 반대되는 기재가 없는 한 다른 구성요소를 제외하는 것이 아니라 다른 구성요소를 더 포함할 수 있는 것을 의미한다. 또한, 명세서 전체에서, "~상에"라 함은 대상 부분의 위 또는 아래에 위치함을 의미하는 것이며, 반드시 중력 방향을 기준으로 상 측에 위치하는 것을 의미하는 것은 아니다.
도 1은 일 실시예에 따른 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법의 순서도이고, 도 2는 일 실시예에 따른 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법의 일 단계로서, 원자로를 해체하는 단계를 도시한 도면이다.
도 1 및 도 2에 도시한 바와 같이, 일 실시예에 따른 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법은 우선, 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 내부에 원자로 해체 장치를 투입하여 원자로(100)를 해체한다(S10).
다음으로, 원자로(100)를 둘러싸는 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)에 설치된 중성자 감지 위치 조절기(Neutron Detector Positioning Device)(300)를 해체하여 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)에 복수개의 관통부(210)를 형성한다(S20).
이하에서 중성자 감지 위치 조절기(300)의 구체적인 구조에 대해 상세히 설명한다.
도 3은 도 2의 A 부분의 확대도이고, 도 4는 도 2의 평면도이다.
도 2 내지 도 4에 도시한 바와 같이, 복수개의 중성자 감지 위치 조절기(300)는 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)에 설치될 수 있다. 구체적으로 육면체 형상의 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 4 방향을 따라 설치될 수 있다.
중성자 감지 위치 조절기(300)는 원자로(100)에 인접하는 중성자 감지기(310), 중성자 감지기(310)를 이동시키는 외부 조절기(320), 중성자 감지기(310)와 외부 조절기(320)를 서로 연결시키며 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)를 관통하는 연결 부재(330), 그리고, 중성자 감지기(310)의 하부에 설치된 이송부(340)를 포함한다.
중성자 감지기(310)는 원자로(100)의 중성자를 계측하기 위한 것으로서, 원자로(100)의 중심부(Belt-Line) 위치에 설치될 수 있다.
외부 조절기(320)는 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 외부에서 작업자가 직접 조절하거나, 무인 동력을 이용할 수 있다.
연결 부재(330)는 선형으로 형성되며, 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)에 형성되는 관통부(210)의 직경보다 작을 수 있다.
도 5는 도 2의 다음 단계로서, 중성자 감지 위치 조절기를 생체 보호 콘크리트로부터 분해하여 생체 보호 콘크리트에 관통부를 형성하는 단계를 도시한 도면이다.
생체 보호 콘크리트(200)는 원통형 내벽과 육면체형 외벽을 가질 수 있다.
이러한 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)에 설치된 중성자 감지 위치 조절기(300)를 해체하는 단계는 구체적으로 아래와 같다.
도 5에 도시한 바와 같이, 외부 조절기(320)를 이용하여 중성자 감지기(310)를 생체 보호 콘크리트(200) 내벽에 밀착시킨다. 이 때, 이송부(340)를 이용하여 중성자 감지기(310)를 생체 보호 콘크리트(200) 내벽까지 이동시킬 수 있다.
그리고, 외부 조절기(320)와 연결 부재(330) 사이의 연결부를 절단한다. 절단되는 연결부는 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 외부에 위치할 수 있다. 절단하는 장치는 다양한 절단 도구가 사용될 수 있다.
그리고, 연결 부재(330)를 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)로부터 분리하여 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)에 관통부(210)를 형성한다. 이 때, 연결 부재(330)에 연결된 중성자 감지기(310)는 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 내부에서 상부로 이동시켜 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)로부터 해체할 수 있다.
따라서, 관통부(210)는 원통형 내벽으로부터 육면체형 외벽까지 연장될 수 있다. 이러한 관통부(210)는 원통형 내벽에서 육면체형 외벽으로 갈수록 직경이 작아질 수 있다. 본 실시예에서는 관통부가 계단형으로 형성되어 있으나 반드시 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 다양한 형상으로 형성될 수 있다.
생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 내벽은 방사성 물질로 심하게 오염되므로, 생체 보호 콘크리트(200) 내벽을 제염하는 공정이 추가될 수 있다. 제염 공정을 진행하기 위한 제염 장치(도시하지 않음)는 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 내부에 투입될 수 있다. 제염 장치는 내벽 해머링(hammering) 또는 스캐블러(scabbler)를 포함할 수 있다. 내벽 해머링은 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 내벽을 타격하여 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 내벽으로부터 방사성 폐기물(1)을 제거한다. 그리고, 스캐블러는 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 내벽을 긁어서 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 내벽으로부터 방사성 폐기물(1)을 제거한다. 본 실시예에서는 제염 장치의 예로서 내벽 해머링 또는 스캐블러를 설명하였으나, 반드시 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)의 내벽으로부터 방사성 폐기물(1)을 제거하기 위한 장치라면 다양한 장치가 가능하다.
제염 공정이 완료된 후에 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)를 복수개의 서브 콘크리트로 분해할 수 있다.
도 6은 도 5의 다음 단계로서, 생체 보호 콘크리트의 관통부에 절단 장치를 투입하여 절단하는 단계를 도시한 도면이고, 도 7은 일 실시예에 따른 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법에 따라 분해된 생체 보호 콘크리트를 도시한 도면이다.
도 6에 도시한 바와 같이, 복수개의 관통부(210)로 절단 장치(400)의 일부를 투입한다(S30). 이러한 절단 장치(400)는 관통부(210)로 투입되는 절단부(410), 절단부(410)의 동작을 조절하며 절단부(410)에 연결되는 절단 조절부(420)를 포함할 수 있다. 관통부(210)는 원통형 내벽에서 육면체형 외벽으로 갈수록 직경이 작아지므로, 절단부(410)는 보다 용이하게 관통부(210)로 투입될 수 있다
이러한 절단 장치(400)는 와이어 쏘(wire saw)를 포함할 수 있다. 본 실시예에서는 절단 장치의 예로 와이어 쏘를 설명하였으나, 반드시 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 관통부(210)로 투입될 수 있는 다양한 장치가 적용 가능하다.
다음으로, 도 7에 도시한 바와 같이, 절단 장치(400)를 이용하여 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)를 복수개의 서브 콘크리트(20)로 분해한다(S40). 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)는 절단선(21)에 의해 복수개의 서브 콘크리트(20)로 분해될 수 있다.
이와 같이, 생체 보호 콘크리트(200)에 추가 코어링 작업 없이, 중성자 감지 위치 조절기를 해체하여 생체 보호 콘크리트(200) 내부에 형성된 관통부(210)로 해체 장치를 투입하여 절단 및 해체 공정을 진행함으로써, 별도의 코어링 작업이 없어도 되므로 해체 공정 시간을 단축시킬 수 있다.
또한, 별도의 코어링 작업이 없으므로 방사성 분진의 발생을 최소화시킬 수 있어 작업자의 피폭을 최소화할 수 있다.
본 개시를 앞서 기재한 바에 따라 바람직한 실시예를 통해 설명하였지만, 본 발명은 이에 한정되지 않으며 다음에 기재하는 특허청구범위의 범위를 벗어나지 않는 한, 다양한 수정 및 변형이 가능하다는 것을 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에 종사하는 자들은 쉽게 이해할 것이다.

Claims (7)

  1. 원자로를 둘러싸는 생체 보호 콘크리트에 설치된 중성자 감지 위치 조절기를 해체하여 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트에 복수개의 관통부를 형성하는 단계,
    상기 복수개의 관통부로 절단 장치의 일부를 투입하는 단계, 그리고
    상기 절단 장치를 이용하여 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트를 복수개의 서브 콘크리트로 분해하는 단계
    를 포함하는 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법.
  2. 제1항에서,
    상기 생체 보호 콘크리트의 내부에 원자로 해체 장치를 투입하여 상기 원자로를 해체하는 단계를 더 포함하는 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법.
  3. 제1항에서,
    상기 생체 보호 콘크리트는 원통형 내벽과 육면체형 외벽을 가지며, 상기 관통부는 상기 원통형 내벽으로부터 상기 육면체형 외벽까지 연장되는 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법.
  4. 제3항에서,
    상기 관통부는 상기 원통형 내벽에서 상기 육면체형 외벽으로 갈수록 직경이 작아지는 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법.
  5. 제1항에서,
    상기 중성자 감지 위치 조절기는
    상기 원자로에 인접하는 중성자 감지기,
    상기 중성자 감지기를 이동시키는 외부 조절기, 그리고
    상기 중성자 감지기와 상기 외부 조절기를 서로 연결시키며 상기 생체 보호콘크리트를 관통하는 연결 부재를 포함하고,
    상기 생체 보호 콘크리트에 설치된 중성자 감지 위치 조절기를 해체하는 단계는
    상기 외부 조절기를 이용하여 상기 중성자 감지기를 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트 내벽에 밀착시키는 단계,
    상기 외부 조절기와 상기 연결 부재 사이를 절단하는 단계, 그리고
    상기 연결 부재를 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트로부터 분리하여 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트에 상기 관통부를 형성하는 단계
    를 포함하는 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법.
  6. 제5항에서,
    상기 중성자 감지 위치 조절기는 상기 중성자 감지기 하부에 설치된 이송부를 더 포함하고,
    상기 이송부를 이용하여 상기 중성자 감지기를 상기 생체 보호 콘크리트 내벽까지 이동시키는 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법.
  7. 제1항에서,
    상기 절단 장치는 와이어 쏘를 포함하는 원자력 발전소의 생체 보호 콘크리트의 해체 방법.
