Abstract

クラッチウエイトのドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側への変位を阻害せず円滑に変位させてアシスト推力を安定的に発生させることができる遠心クラッチを提供する。 遠心クラッチ200は、エンジンの駆動力によって回転駆動するドライブプレート210に揺動支持ピン214を介してクラッチウエイト230を備えているとともにプレート側カム体218およびダンパー221を備えている。クラッチウエイト230は、揺動支持ピン214を介してクラッチアウター240側に回動変位するとともにプレート側カム体218に乗り上げるウエイト側カム体235およびダンパー溝236が形成されている。ダンパー溝236は、クラッチウエイト230がクラッチオフ位置でダンパー221が嵌合する溝幅W1よりもクラッチオン位置でダンパー221が嵌合する溝幅W2がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方側に幅広に形成されている。

Description

遠心クラッチ
 エンジンが所定の回転数に達するまでの間は回転駆動力の従動側への伝達を遮断するとともに、エンジンが所定の回転数に達したときに回転駆動力を従動側に伝達する遠心クラッチに関する。
 従来から、二輪自動車や刈払機などにおいては、エンジンが所定の回転数に達したときに回転駆動力を従動側に伝達する遠心クラッチが用いられている。例えば、下記特許文献1には、エンジンからの回転駆動力によって回転駆動するドライブプレートとこのドライブプレートに回動自在に支持されてドライブプレートの回転駆動によって径方向外側に開いてクラッチアウターに押し付けられるクラッチウエイトを備えた遠心クラッチが開示されている。この場合、遠心クラッチは、ドライブプレートに弾性体からなる円柱状のダンパーが設けられるとともにクラッチウエイトにダンパーを挟んだ状態で嵌合するダンパー溝が形成されており、回動するクラッチウエイトを緩衝するように構成されている。

 しかしながら、上記特許文献1に記載された遠心クラッチにおいては、クラッチウエイトがクラッチアウターに押し付けられてドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に変位した際にダンパーがダンパー溝に強く押し付けられてクラッチウエイトがクラッチアウターを押す作用が妨げられることでクラッチウエイトがクラッチアウターを押すアシスト推力が低下して不安定になるという問題があった。
 本発明は上記問題に対処するためなされたもので、その目的は、クラッチウエイトのドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側への変位を阻害せず円滑に変位させてアシスト推力を安定的に発生させることができる遠心クラッチを提供することにある。
 上記目的を達成するため、本発明の特徴は、エンジンの駆動力を受けてドリブンプーリとともに一体的に回転駆動するドライブプレートと、ドライブプレートの外側にこのドライブプレートと同心で設けられた円筒面を有するクラッチアウターと、ドライブプレートの周方向に沿って延びて形成されてクラッチアウターの円筒面に面するクラッチシューを有して前記周方向における一方の端部側がドライブプレート上に揺動支持ピンおよびピン摺動孔を介して回動可能に取り付けられるとともに他方の端部側がクラッチアウターの円筒面側に向かって変位するクラッチウエイトと、ドライブプレートに同ドライブプレートの回転駆動軸方向に延びる面を有したプレート側カム体と、クラッチウエイトに設けられてクラッチウエイトの前記他方の端部側の変位の際にプレート側カム体上を摺動して乗り上げるウエイト側カム体と、ドライブプレートにクラッチウエイトに面して設けられた弾性体からなるダンパーと、クラッチウエイトに溝状に形成されてクラッチウエイトがクラッチアウターに対して接近または離隔する回動変位方向に沿って延びてダンパーが摺動自在に挟んだ状態で嵌合するダンパー溝とを備え、揺動支持ピンは、ドライブプレートおよびクラッチウエイトのうちの一方に設けられてドライブプレートおよびクラッチウエイトのうちの他方側に延びて形成されており、ピン摺動孔は、ドライブプレートおよびクラッチウエイトのうちの他方に設けられるとともにクラッチウエイトの前記一方の端部側のドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側への変位を許容する長孔状に形成されて揺動支持ピンが摺動変位自在に嵌合しており、ダンパー溝は、クラッチウエイトがクラッチアウターに対して離隔したクラッチオフ位置でダンパーが嵌合する溝幅よりもクラッチウエイトがクラッチアウターに押し付けられたクラッチオン位置でダンパーが嵌合する溝幅がドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の前方側に広がって形成されていることにある。
 このように構成した本発明の特徴によれば、遠心クラッチは、ダンパーの溝幅がクラッチアウターに対してクラッチウエイトが離隔した位置でダンパーが嵌合する部分の溝幅よりもクラッチウエイトがクラッチアウターに対して接触した位置でダンパーが嵌合する部分の溝幅がドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の前方側に広がって形成されている。これにより、本発明に係る遠心クラッチにおいては、クラッチウエイトがドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に変位した場合にクラッチウエイトの変位を阻害せず円滑に変位させてアシスト推力を安定的に発生させることができる。
 なお、上各記発明における長孔とは、一方向における長さがこの一方向に直交する幅方向に対して長く全体として細長く延びた貫通孔または止り穴である。
 また、本発明の他の特徴は、前記遠心クラッチにおいて、ダンパー溝は、クラッチウエイトがクラッチオン位置でダンパーが嵌合する溝幅がクラッチオフ位置でダンパーを弾性変形させる変形量以下で弾性変形させる溝幅に形成されていることにある。
 このように構成した本発明の他の特徴によれば、遠心クラッチは、クラッチウエイトがクラッチオン位置でダンパーが嵌合するダンパー溝の溝幅がクラッチアウターに対してクラッチウエイトが離隔したクラッチオフ位置でダンパーを弾性変形させる変形量以下で弾性変形させる溝幅に形成されている。これにより、本発明に係る遠心クラッチにおいては、クラッチウエイトがドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に変位した場合にクラッチウエイトの変位を阻害せず円滑に変位させてアシスト推力を安定的に発生させることができる。
 この場合、遠心クラッチは、ダンパー溝におけるクラッチウエイトがクラッチアウターに対して接触した位置でダンパーが嵌合する溝幅がクラッチアウターに対してクラッチウエイトが離隔した位置でダンパーを弾性変形させる変形量と同じ変形量で弾性変形させる溝幅に形成されている。これにより、本発明に係る遠心クラッチにおいては、クラッチウエイトがドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に変位する前後においてダンパーが変位する抵抗を一定にすることができ、クラッチウエイトをより円滑に変位させてアシスト推力を安定的に発生させることができる。
 また、本発明の他の特徴は、前記遠心クラッチにおいて、ダンパー溝は、同ダンパー溝を構成するドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に形成された後方側壁とドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の前方側に形成された前方側壁とが互いに異なる位置を中心とする円弧からなる曲面で構成されていることにある。
 このように構成した本発明の他の特徴によれば、遠心クラッチは、ダンパー溝がドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側の後方側壁とドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の前方側の前方側壁とが互いに異なる位置を中心とする円の円弧に沿う曲面で構成されているため、後方側壁および前方側壁をそれぞれ単一の曲率の曲面でそれぞれ構成してダンパー溝の構成および成形を簡単にすることができる。
 また、本発明の他の特徴は、前記遠心クラッチにおいて、ダンパー溝は、同ダンパー溝を構成するドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の前方側に形成された前方側壁の長さがクラッチシューが摩耗が進んで使用限界に近い終期状態でクラッチアウターに接触した場合におけるダンパーとの接触部分よりも長い長さで形成されていることにある。
 このように構成した本発明の他の特徴によれば、遠心クラッチは、ダンパー溝におけるドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の前方側の前方側壁の長さがクラッチシューが摩耗が進んで使用限界に近い終期状態でクラッチアウターに接触した場合におけるダンパーとの接触部分よりも長い長さで形成されている。これにより、本発明に係る遠心クラッチによれば、クラッチシューの摩耗が進んだ場合であってもダンパーの一部がダンパー溝から外れてダンパー溝の端部で引っ掛かりまたは潰されて再度ダンパー溝内に戻る際に抵抗が生じることまたは損傷することが防止され、クラッチシューの摩耗が進む前後におけるダンパー溝内でのダンパーの円滑な変位が確保される。
 また、本発明の他の特徴は、前記遠心クラッチにおいて、ダンパー溝は、同ダンパー溝を構成するドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に形成された後方側壁がクラッチウエイトがドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に変位した際にダンパーに対して離隔するように形成されていることにある。
 このように構成した本発明の他の特徴によれば、遠心クラッチは、ダンパー溝におけるドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側の後方側壁がクラッチウエイトがドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に変位した際にダンパーに対して離隔するように形成されている。このため、遠心クラッチは、クラッチウエイトがドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に変位した際にダンパーが後方側壁に押し付けられることによる抵抗が発生することが防止できクラッチウエイトをより円滑に変位させてアシスト推力を安定的に発生させることができる。また、遠心クラッチは、クラッチシューの摩耗が進んだ場合においてもクラッチウエイトを引っ張るクラッチスプリングに作用する抵抗を抑えることができるため、クラッチウエイトをより円滑に変位させてアシスト推力を安定的に発生させることができる。

 以下、本発明に係る遠心クラッチの一実施形態について図面を参照しながら説明する。図1は、本発明に係る遠心クラッチ200を備えた動力伝達機構100の構成を概略的に示す平面断面図である。また、図2は、図1に示す2-2線から見た遠心クラッチ200の側面図である。この遠心クラッチ200を備えた動力伝達機構100は、主としてスクータなどの自動二輪車両において、エンジンと駆動輪である後輪との間に設けられてエンジンの回転数に対する減速比を自動的に変更しながら回転駆動力を後輪に伝達または遮断する機械装置である。
(遠心クラッチ200の構成)
 この動力伝達機構100は、主として、変速機101および遠心クラッチ200をそれぞれ備えている。変速機101は、図示しないエンジンからの回転駆動力を無段階で減速して遠心クラッチ200に伝達する機械装置であり、主として、ドライブプーリ110、Vベルト120およびドリブンプーリ130をそれぞれ備えて構成されている。これらのうち、ドライブプーリ110は、エンジンから延びるクランク軸111上に設けられてエンジンの回転駆動力によって直接回転駆動する機械装置であり、主として、固定ドライブプレート112および可動ドライブプレート113をそれぞれ備えて構成されている。
 固定ドライブプレート112は、可動ドライブプレート113とともにVベルト120を挟んで保持した状態で回転駆動する部品であり、金属材料を円錐筒状に形成して構成されている。この固定ドライブプレート112は、凸側の面が可動ドライブプレート113側(エンジン側)に向いた状態でクランク軸111上に固定的に取り付けられている。すなわち、固定ドライブプレート112は、常にクランク軸111と一体的に回転駆動する。また、固定ドライブプレート112における凹側の面上には、複数の放熱フィン112aがクランク軸111の軸線を中心として放射状に設けられている。
 可動ドライブプレート113は、固定ドライブプレート112とともにVベルト120を挟んで保持した状態で回転駆動する部品であり、金属材料を円錐筒状に形成して構成されている。この可動ドライブプレート113は、凸側の面が固定ドライブプレート112に対向する向きでクランク軸111に取り付けられている。この場合、可動ドライブプレート113は、クランク軸111に対して固定的に嵌合するスリーブ軸受114上に含浸ブッシュを介して取り付けられており、スリーブ軸受114に対して軸方向および周方向にそれぞれ摺動自在に取り付けられている。
 一方、可動ドライブプレート113の凹側の面には、複数のローラウエイト115がランププレート116によって押圧された状態で設けられている。ローラウエイト115は、可動ドライブプレート113の回転数の増加に応じて径方向外側に変位することによってランププレート116と協働して可動ドライブプレート113を固定ドライブプレート112側に押圧するための部品であり、金属材料を筒状に形成して構成されている。また、ランププレート116は、ローラウエイト115を可動ドライブプレート113側に押圧する部品であり、金属板を可動ドライブプレート113側に屈曲させて構成されている。
 Vベルト120は、ドライブプーリ110の回転駆動力をドリブンプーリ130に伝達するための部品であり、芯線をゴム材などの弾性材料で覆った無端のリング状に形成されている。このVベルト120は、固定ドライブプレート112と可動ドライブプレート113との間およびドリブンプーリ130における固定ドリブンプレート131と可動ドリブンプレート134との間に配置されてドライブプーリ110とドリブンプーリ130との間に架設されている。
 ドリブンプーリ130は、ドライブプーリ110およびVベルト120をそれぞれ介して伝達されるエンジンからの回転駆動力によって回転駆動する機械装置であり、主として、固定ドリブンプレート131および可動ドリブンプレート134をそれぞれ備えて構成されている。
 固定ドリブンプレート131は、可動ドリブンプレート134とともにVベルト120を挟んで保持した状態で回転駆動する部品であり、金属材料を円錐筒状に形成して構成されている。この固定ドリブンプレート131は、凸側の面が可動ドリブンプレート134側に向いた状態でドリブンスリーブ132上に固定的に取り付けられている。
 ドリブンスリーブ132は、固定ドリブンプレート131と一体的に回転駆動する金属製の筒状部品であり、ドライブシャフト133に対してベアリングを介して相対回転自在に取り付けられている。ドライブシャフト133は、この動力伝達機構100が搭載される自動二輪車両の後輪を図示しないトランスミッションを介して駆動するための金属製の回転軸体である。この場合、自動二輪車両の後輪は、ドライブシャフト133における一方(図示右側)の端部に取り付けられている。
 可動ドリブンプレート134は、固定ドリブンプレート131とともにVベルト120を挟んで保持した状態で回転駆動する部品であり、金属材料を円錐筒状に形成して構成されている。この可動ドリブンプレート134は、凸側の面が固定ドリブンプレート131に対向する向きでドリブンスリーブ132に対して軸方向に摺動自在な状態で嵌合している。
 一方、可動ドリブンプレート134の凹側の面には、遠心クラッチ200におけるドライブプレート210との間にトルクスプリング135が設けられている。トルクスプリング135は、可動ドリブンプレート134を固定ドリブンプレート131側に弾性的に押圧するコイルスプリングである。すなわち、この変速機101は、固定ドライブプレート112と可動ドライブプレート113との間隔で規定されるVベルト120を挟む直径と、固定ドリブンプレート131と可動ドリブンプレート134との間隔で規定されるVベルト120を挟む直径との大小関係によってエンジンの回転数を無段階で変速する。そして、ドリブンスリーブ132およびドライブシャフト133における各先端部側には遠心クラッチ200が設けられている。
 遠心クラッチ200は、変速機101を介して伝達されたエンジンの回転駆動力をドライブシャフト133に伝達または遮断する機械装置であり、主として、ドライブプレート210、3つのクラッチウエイト230およびクラッチアウター240をそれぞれ備えて構成されている。
 ドライブプレート210は、ドリブンスリーブ132と一体的に回転駆動する部品であり、金属材料を段付きの円板状に形成して構成されている。より具体的には、ドライブプレート210は、図3および図4にそれぞれ示すように、平板状の底部211の中央部にドリブンスリーブ132が貫通する貫通孔211aが形成されているとともに、この底部211の周囲に起立した筒部212の先端部にフランジ状に張り出した鍔部213が形成されて構成されている。鍔部213には、周方向に沿ってそれぞれ3つずつの揺動支持ピン214、カム体支持ピン217およびダンパー受けピン220がそれぞれ等間隔で設けられている。
 揺動支持ピン214は、後述するクラッチウエイト230における一方の端部側を回動可能に支持して他方の端部側を揺動させるための部品であり、金属製の段付きの棒体で構成されている。この場合、揺動支持ピン214は、取付ボルト214aによって鍔部213に固定的に取り付けられている。この揺動支持ピン214は、外周部に支点側摺動部材215を介してクラッチウエイト230のピン摺動孔231内を貫通した状態で、先端部に取り付けられるEリング214bおよびこのEリング214bとクラッチウエイト230との間にサイドプレート216をそれぞれ介してクラッチウエイト230を挟んだ状態で支持している。
 支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214とピン摺動孔231との間に配置されて両者の摺動性を向上させるための部品であり、樹脂材料を円筒状に形成して構成されている。この支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214およびピン摺動孔231に対してそれぞれ回転摺動可能な内径および外径、すなわち、揺動支持ピン214およびピン摺動孔231に対してそれぞれ隙間ばめとなる寸法公差に形成されている。
 また、支点側摺動部材215を構成する樹脂材料としては、耐熱性および耐摩耗性を有する熱可塑性樹脂または熱硬化性樹脂を用いることができ、エンジニアリングプラスチックまたはスーパーエンジニアリングプラスチックが好適である。具体的には、熱可塑性樹脂としては、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン樹脂(PEEK)、ポリフェニレンサルファイド樹脂(PPS)、ポリアミドイミド樹脂(PAI)、フッ素樹脂(PTFE)またはポリイミド樹脂(PI)を用いることができ、熱硬化性樹脂としては、ジアリルフタレート樹脂(PDAP)、エポキシ樹脂(EP)またはシリコン樹脂(SI)を用いることができる。サイドプレート216は、3つのクラッチウエイト230が各揺動支持ピン214から抜けることを防止するための部品であり、金属材料をリング状に形成して構成されている。
 カム体支持ピン217は、プレート側カム体218を回転自在な状態で支持するための部品であり、金属製の段付きの棒体で構成されている。このカム体支持ピン217は、クラッチウエイト230におけるピン摺動孔231よりもクラッチウエイト230の先端部側の部分に対向する鍔部213上に取付ボルト217aによって固定的に取り付けられる。
 プレート側カム体218は、クラッチウエイト230をクラッチアウター240側に押圧するための部品であり、樹脂材料を円筒状に形成して構成されている。この場合、プレート側カム体218は、カム体支持ピン217に対して回転摺動可能な内径、すなわち、カム体支持ピン217に対して所謂隙間ばめとなる寸法公差で形成されている。また、プレート側カム体218を構成する樹脂材料は、前記支点側摺動部材215を構成する樹脂材料と同様である。
 ダンパー受けピン220は、ダンパー221を支持するための部品であり、金属製の棒体で構成されている。ダンパー221は、クラッチウエイト230における前記他方の端部側をクラッチアウター240に対して接近または離隔させる揺動運動を案内するとともに離隔時における緩衝材となる部品であり、ゴム材またはエラストマ材などの弾性体を円筒状に形成して構成されている。このダンパー221は、ダンパー受けピン220の外周面上に固定的に嵌合している。なお、ダンパー221は、ダンパー受けピン220の外周面上に回転自在に取り付けられていてもよいものである。
 3つのクラッチウエイト230は、図4および図5にそれぞれ示すように、それぞれドライブプレート210の回転数に応じてクラッチアウター240に対してクラッチシュー233を介して接触または離隔することによってエンジンからの回転駆動力をドライブシャフト133に伝達または遮断するための部品であり、金属材料(例えば、亜鉛材)をドライブプレート210の周方向に沿って延びる湾曲した形状に形成して構成されている。
 これらのクラッチウエイト230は、それぞれ一方の端部側がピン摺動孔231を介して揺動支持ピン214および支点側摺動部材215によって回動自在に支持された状態で、他方の端部側が互いに隣接するクラッチウエイト230に金属製のコイルバネからなる連結スプリング232によって連結されてドライブプレート210の内側方向に向かって引っ張られている。すなわち、クラッチウエイト230は、クラッチシュー233が設けられた前記他方の端部側がクラッチアウター240に対して揺動自在な状態でドライブプレート210上に揺動支持ピン214、支点側摺動部材215およびピン摺動孔231をそれぞれ介して支持されている。
 なお、図2においては、クラッチウエイト230の構成を分かり易くするため、3つのクラッチウエイト230のうちの1つのクラッチウエイト230における2か所をそれぞれ異なる厚さ方向の面で破断して示している。また、図2においては、遠心クラッチ200におけるドライブプレート210、クラッチアウター240の回転駆動方向をそれぞれ破線矢印で示している。
 ピン摺動孔231は、前記ドライブプレート210における揺動支持ピン214に支点側摺動部材215を介して回動自在かつ摺動自在に嵌合する部分であり、クラッチウエイト230の厚さ方向に貫通する貫通孔によって構成されている。このピン摺動孔231は、クラッチシュー233がクラッチアウター240に接触した際にクラッチウエイト230における前記一方の端部側がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側に変位するように長孔状に形成されている。
 この場合、ピン摺動孔231を構成する長孔は、一方向における長さがこの一方向に直交する幅方向に対して長く全体として細長く延びて形成されている。より具体的には、ピン摺動孔231は、ドライブプレート210の径方向となる幅方向が支点側摺動部材215の外径に対して若干大きな隙間ばめの大きさの内径に形成される。一方、ピン摺動孔231の長手方向は、クラッチウエイト230のウエイト側カム体235のプレート側カム体218への押し付けが強まって乗り上がりがより促進される側にクラッチウエイト230の変位を許容する方向に延びる円弧状または直線状に形成される。
 本実施形態においては、ピン摺動孔231は、ドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方側に円弧状に延びて形成されている。この場合、ピン摺動孔231の長手方向を構成する2つの円弧は、本実施形態においては、ドライブプレート210と同心であるが、必ずしも同心でなくてもよい。
 クラッチシュー233は、クラッチアウター240の内周面に対する摩擦力を増大させるための部品であり、摩擦材を円弧状に延びる板状に形成して構成されている。このクラッチシュー233は、各クラッチウエイト230におけるピン摺動孔231とは反対側の先端部側の外周面に設けられている。
 また、各クラッチウエイト230におけるドライブプレート210に対向する面には、プレート側カム体218を覆うように凹状に窪んだ形状でプレート側カム体逃げ部234がそれぞれ形成されているとともに、ダンパー221を覆うように凹状に窪んだ形状でダンパー溝236がそれぞれ形成されている。プレート側カム体逃げ部234は、プレート側カム体218に乗り上げるウエイト側カム体235が形成される部分であり、クラッチウエイト230の内周面に開口して奥側に延びる溝状に形成されるとともに同奥側部分がプレート側カム体218に接触しないように円弧状に切り欠かれて形成されている。
 ウエイト側カム体235は、プレート側カム体218と協働してクラッチウエイト230をクラッチアウター240側に変位させるための部分であり、ドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側に面する滑らかな曲面で構成されている。より具体的には、ウエイト側カム体235は、プレート側カム体218に押し付けられる摺動面がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方かつ外側に向かって湾曲して延び円弧状に形成されている。
 ダンパー溝236は、ダンパー221を挟んだ状態で収容する部分であり、クラッチウエイト230の内周面に開口するとともにして同クラッチウエイト230がクラッチアウター240に対して接近または離隔する回動変位方向に沿って湾曲しつつ延びる溝状に形成されている。より具体的には、ダンパー溝236は、ピン摺動孔231側であってドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側に形成される後方側壁236aとクラッチウエイト230の先端部側であってドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方側に形成される前方側壁236bとがクラッチウエイト230の内周面からクラッチシュー233側に延びてクラッチシュー233に達する前の部分で互いに繋がる溝状に形成されている。
 この場合、ダンパー溝236は、クラッチウエイト230がクラッチアウター240に対して離隔したクラッチオフ位置でダンパー221が嵌合する溝幅W1よりもクラッチウエイト230がクラッチアウター240に押し付けられたクラッチオン位置でダンパー221が嵌合する溝幅W2がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方側に広がって形成されている。本実施形態においては、ダンパー溝236は、溝幅W1がダンパー221を所定の変形量で弾性変形させる溝幅に形成されるとともに、溝幅W2が溝幅W1がダンパー221を弾性変形させる変形量以下で弾性変形させる溝幅に形成されている。ここで、溝幅W1がダンパー221を弾性変形させる所定の変形量は、クラッチウエイト230がクラッチアウター240に接近して接触する際または離隔する際における振動およびバタツキ(振動よりも大きな不規則な往復変位)を抑えつつ円滑な回動変位を行うことができる量に設定される。
 また、ダンパー溝236を構成する後方側壁236aおよび前方側壁236bは、互いに異なる位置を中心とする円の円弧で構成されている。本実施形態においては、後方側壁236aは、クラッチウエイト230がクラッチアウター240から離隔して最も径方向内側に変位した状態(図6参照)における揺動支持ピン214の中心を中心とする円の円弧で形成されている。この場合、後方側壁236aは、クラッチシュー233が使用限界に近い量まで摩耗した終期状態でクラッチアウター240に接触した際にダンパー221に対して離隔する曲面に形成されている。
 一方、前方側壁236bは、クラッチウエイト230の内周面側の溝幅W2が溝幅W1よりも広くなるように後方側壁236aを構成する円弧の中心よりもクラッチウエイト230の先端部側の位置を中心とする円の円弧で構成されている。この場合、前方側壁236bは、クラッチシュー233が前記終期状態でクラッチアウター240に接触した際にダンパー221との接触部分よりも長い長さで形成されている。すなわち、後方側壁236aおよび前方側壁236bは、それぞれ1つの曲率の円弧で構成されている。
 クラッチアウター240は、ドライブシャフト133と一体的に回転駆動する部品であり、金属材料をドライブプレート210からクラッチウエイト230の外周面を覆うカップ状に形成して構成されている。すなわち、クラッチアウター240は、ドライブプレート210の外周側に変位したクラッチウエイト230のクラッチシュー233に摩擦接触する円筒面241を有して構成されている。
 (遠心クラッチ200の作動)
 次に、上記のように構成した遠心クラッチ200の作動について図6~図12を用いて説明する。なお、この図6~図12においては、Eリング214b、サイドプレート216および連結スプリング232を省略している。また、図7~図9,図11,図12においては、遠心クラッチ200におけるドライブプレート210、クラッチアウター240の回転駆動方向をそれぞれ破線矢印で示している。また、図8,図9,図12においては、プレート側カム体218の回転方向をそれぞれ破線矢印で示している。また、図6~図9は、クラッチシュー233の摩耗がないまたは少ない初期状態での遠心クラッチ200の作動状態を示している。また、図10~図12は、クラッチシュー233の摩耗が使用限界に近い状態まで進んだ終期状態での遠心クラッチ200の作動状態を示している。
 この遠心クラッチ200は、自動二輪車車両(例えば、スクータ)におけるエンジンと駆動輪となる後輪との間に配置された動力伝達機構100の一部を構成して機能する。まず、遠心クラッチ200は、エンジンがアイドリング状態においては、図6に示すように、エンジンとドライブシャフト133との間の駆動力の伝達を遮断する。具体的には、遠心クラッチ200は、変速機101を介して伝達されるエンジンの回転駆動力によってドライブプレート210が回転駆動してクラッチウエイト230が回転駆動する。
 しかし、この場合、遠心クラッチ200は、クラッチウエイト230に作用する遠心力が連結スプリング232の弾性力(引張力)よりも小さいため、クラッチシュー233がクラッチアウター240の円筒面241に接触せずエンジンの回転駆動力がドライブシャフト133に伝達されないクラッチオフ状態となっている。このクラッチオフ状態においては、クラッチウエイト230は、連結されている2つの連結スプリング232のうちの揺動支持ピン214に対してより遠い位置から引っ張る連結スプリング232(ウエイト側カム体235に隣接した位置に引っ掛けられている連結スプリング232)の引張力によって引っ張られる。
 この場合、クラッチウエイト230は、ピン摺動孔231が長孔状に形成されているため、ウエイト側カム体235に隣接した位置に引っ掛けられている連結スプリング232側に変位する。これにより、揺動支持ピン214は、ピン摺動孔231におけるドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側端部に位置することになる(図6参照)。また、ウエイト側カム体235は、連結スプリング232の弾性力(引張力)によってプレート側カム体218のローラ面に押し付けられて接触した状態を維持している。
 また、このクラッチオフ状態においては、クラッチウエイト230は、連結スプリング232の弾性力(引張力)によってダンパー溝236の最奥部付近がダンパー221に押し付けられて弾性的に静止している。すなわち、ダンパー221は、ダンパー溝236の最奥部付近における溝幅W1の位置で後方側壁236aと前方側壁236bとで挟まれて弾性変形した状態で位置している。本実施形態においては、ダンパー221は、後方側壁236a側が0.65mmだけ圧縮変形しているとともに前方側壁236b側が0.65mmだけ圧縮変形している。なお、ダンパー221における後方側壁236a側および前方側壁236b側の各弾性変形量は、本実施形態に限定されるものでないことは当然である。
 一方、遠心クラッチ200は、自動二輪車両における運転者のアクセル操作によるエンジンの回転数の増加に応じてエンジンの回転駆動力をドライブシャフト133に伝達する。具体的には、遠心クラッチ200は、エンジンの回転数が増加するに従ってクラッチウエイト230に作用する遠心力が連結スプリング232の弾性力(引張力)よりも大きくなってクラッチウエイト230が揺動支持ピン214を中心として径方向外側に向かって回動変位する。
 すなわち、遠心クラッチ200は、図7に示すように、エンジンの回転数が増加するに従ってクラッチウエイト230が連結スプリング232の弾性力(引張力)およびダンパー221とダンパー溝236との間の摺動抵抗にそれぞれ抗しながらクラッチアウター240の円筒面241側に回動変位する結果、クラッチシュー233が円筒面241に接触する。この場合、クラッチウエイト230は、ダンパー溝236がクラッチシュー233側からクラッチウエイト230の内周面側に向かって溝幅がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方側に広がって形成されているため、ダンパー221とダンパー溝236との間の摺動抵抗が小さくなっていく。
 これらにより、クラッチウエイト230は、揺動支持ピン214とピン摺動孔231とが樹脂製の支点側摺動部材215を介して摺動しながら円滑に回動変位することができる。このクラッチシュー233が円筒面241に接触した際におけるダンパー221の圧縮変形量は、本実施形態においては、後方側壁236a側が0.65mmであり、前方側壁236b側が0.37mmである。なお、この図7に示したクラッチウエイト230がドライブプレート210の径方向外側に回動してクラッチアウター240に接触するまでの間においては、プレート側カム体218とウエイト側カム体235とは非接触である。
 次に、クラッチシュー233が円筒面241に接触した場合、クラッチウエイト230は、クラッチシュー233を介して回転駆動方向とは反対方向の反力を受ける。この場合、ピン摺動孔231は、ドライブプレート210の周方向に沿う長孔状に形成されているとともに、揺動支持ピン214がピン摺動孔231におけるドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側端部に位置している。すなわち、クラッチウエイト230は、図8に示すように、ドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側への変位が許容された状態にあるため、クラッチシュー233を介して受ける反力によってドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向とは反対方向に相対変位する。
 この場合においても、クラッチウエイト230は、ダンパー溝236がクラッチシュー233側からクラッチウエイト230の内周面側に向かって溝幅がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方側に広がって形成されているとともに揺動支持ピン214とピン摺動孔231とが樹脂製の支点側摺動部材215を介して摺動するため円滑に変位することができる。また、クラッチウエイト230は、ダンパー溝236における溝幅W2が溝幅W1がダンパー221を弾性変形させる変形量以下で弾性変形させる溝幅に形成されているため、クラッチウエイト230の変位の際の摺動抵抗が溝幅W1における摺動抵抗を上回ることがなく円滑な変位を阻害しない。
 これらにより、クラッチウエイト230に形成されたウエイト側カム体235は、プレート側カム体218に強く押し付けられる。この場合、プレート側カム体218は、カム体支持ピン217に対して回転自在に支持されているため、ウエイト側カム体235による押し付けによって図示反時計回りに回転する。これにより、クラッチウエイト230は、ウエイト側カム体235がプレート側カム体218を回転変位させながらプレート側カム体218上に乗り上がるに従って径方向外側のクラッチアウター240側に押されてクラッチシュー233が同円筒面241に押し付けられる。この場合、プレート側カム体218は、樹脂材料で構成されているため、両部品が金属材料で構成されている場合に比べて円滑に回転変位することができる。
 この結果、遠心クラッチ200は、クラッチシュー233がクラッチアウター240の円筒面241に接触した後、極めて短時間(換言すれば、瞬間的)にクラッチシュー233が円筒面241に押し付けられてクラッチウエイト230がプレート側カム体218とクラッチアウター240との間に楔状に入り込んだ状態となる。これにより、遠心クラッチ200は、エンジンの回転駆動力を完全にドライブシャフト133に伝達するクラッチオン状態となる。
 この場合、ピン摺動孔231は、クラッチウエイト230は、プレート側カム体218とクラッチアウター240との間に楔状に入り込んだ状態において、揺動支持ピン214が接触しない長さに形成されている。すなわち、ピン摺動孔231は、クラッチウエイト230がプレート側カム体218とクラッチアウター240との間に楔状に入り込んだ状態においても支点側摺動部材215との間に隙間が確保されているため、クラッチウエイト230のプレート側カム体218とクラッチアウター240との間への入り込みを阻害することはない。
 このクラッチオン状態において遠心クラッチ200は、クラッチシュー233がクラッチアウター240の円筒面241に押し付けられた状態を維持するため、ドライブプレート210とクラッチアウター240とは一体的に回転駆動する。これにより、自動二輪車両は、エンジンの回転駆動力によって後輪が回転駆動して走行することができる。
 一方、エンジンの回転数が減少していく場合においては、遠心クラッチ200は、エンジンの回転駆動力のドライブシャフト133への伝達を遮断する。具体的には、遠心クラッチ200は、エンジンの回転数が減少するに従ってクラッチウエイト230に作用する遠心力が連結スプリング232の弾性力(引張力)よりも小さくなってクラッチウエイト230が揺動支持ピン214を中心として径方向内側に向かって回動変位する。
 この場合、ピン摺動孔231は、図9に示すように、ドライブプレート210の周方向に沿う長孔状に形成されているとともに、揺動支持ピン214がピン摺動孔231におけるドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側の端部より若干前方側に位置している。すなわち、クラッチウエイト230は、ドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方側への変位が許容された状態にあるため、連結スプリング232の弾性力(引張力)によってドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方に向かってドライブプレートに対して相対的に回転変位する。
 この場合、クラッチウエイト230は、ダンパー221がダンパー溝236における溝幅W2側から溝幅W1側に向かって変位するようにダンパー221とダンパー溝236との間の摺動抵抗に抗しながら回動変位する。これにより、クラッチウエイト230は、ウエイト側カム体235がプレート側カム体218を図示時計回りに回転変位させながらドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方側および径方向内側にそれぞれ回動変位して元の位置(前記アイドリング時の位置)に復帰する(図6参照)。すなわち、遠心クラッチ200は、クラッチシュー233がクラッチアウター240に接触せず回転駆動力を伝達しないクラッチオフ状態となる。
 また、クラッチウエイト230は、連結されている2つの連結スプリング232のうちの揺動支持ピン214に対してより遠い位置から引っ張る連結スプリング232(ウエイト側カム体235に隣接した位置に引っ掛けられている連結スプリング232)側に変位する。このため、揺動支持ピン214は、ピン摺動孔231におけるドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側端部に位置することになる(図6参照)。このようなエンジンの回転数が減少していく場合においても、クラッチウエイト230は、樹脂材の支点側摺動部材215およびプレート側カム体218によって円滑に回動変位することができる。
 次に、図10に示すように、クラッチシュー233の摩耗が進んで厚さが薄くなり使用限界に近い終期状態となった場合について説明する。このクラッチシュー233の終期状態においても、遠心クラッチ200は、前記と同様の過程を経てクラッチオン状態となる。すなわち、クラッチオン状態となる過程においては、クラッチウエイト230は、クラッチシュー233の摩耗量に相当する分だけドライブプレート210の径方向外側に回動変位した後回転駆動方向の後方側に回動変位する。
 したがって、ダンパー溝236によるダンパー221の圧縮変形量は、図11に示すように、クラッチシュー233がクラッチアウター240の円筒面241に接触した場合においては前方側壁236b側の圧縮変形量がクラッチシュー233が初期状態の場合に比べて少なくなる。本実施形態においては、ダンパー221の圧縮変形量は、後方側壁236a側が0.65mmである一方で、前方側壁236b側は非接触となり圧縮変形しない。このため、クラッチウエイト230は、クラッチオフ状態の位置から変位し易くなる。
 また、クラッチウエイト230がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側に変位した場合においては、図12に示すように、前方側壁236b側でダンパー221の圧縮変形が生じる。本実施形態においては、前方側壁236b側のダンパー221の圧縮変形量は0.65mmである。すなわち、前方側壁236b側のダンパー221の圧縮変形量は、クラッチオフ時の圧縮変形量を超えることはない。
 また、この場合、前方側壁236bは、クラッチシュー233が前記終期状態でクラッチアウター240に接触した際にダンパー221との接触部分よりも長い長さで形成されている。このため、ダンパー221は、前方側壁236bの長手方向の先端部などの角部で集中荷重を受けて潰されなどの過度な圧縮変形が防止される。これにより、遠心クラッチ200は、ダンパー221が損傷することおよびクラッチウエイト230がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方側に変位する際に前記過度な圧縮変形による摺動抵抗の増加を防止することができる。
 一方、ダンパー221における後方側壁236aの圧縮変形は生じない。これは、後方側壁236aが、クラッチシュー233が使用限界に近い量まで摩耗した終期状態でクラッチアウター240に接触した際にダンパー221に対して離隔する曲面に形成されているためである。
 そして、遠心クラッチ200は、図12に示すように、プレート側カム体218がカム体支持ピン217に対してクラッチシュー233の摩耗量に相当する分だけ回転することでクラッチウエイト230がプレート側カム体218とクラッチアウター240との間に楔状に入り込んでクラッチシュー233がクラッチアウター240の円筒面241を押し付ける。すなわち、遠心クラッチ200は、クラッチシュー233がクラッチアウター240の円筒面241に接触した後、極めて短時間(換言すれば、瞬間的)にクラッチシュー233が円筒面241に押し付けられてエンジンの回転駆動力を完全にドライブシャフト133に伝達するクラッチオン状態となる。
 上記作動説明からも理解できるように、上記実施形態によれば、遠心クラッチ200は、ダンパー221の溝幅がクラッチアウター240に対してクラッチウエイト230が離隔した位置でダンパー221が嵌合する部分の溝幅W1よりもクラッチウエイト230がクラッチアウター240に対して接触した位置でダンパー221が嵌合する部分の溝幅W2がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方側に広がって形成されている。これにより、本発明に係る遠心クラッチ200においては、クラッチウエイト230がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側に変位した場合にクラッチウエイト230の変位を阻害せず円滑に変位させてアシスト推力を安定的に発生させることができる。
 さらに、本発明の実施にあたっては、上記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の目的を逸脱しない限りにおいて種々の変更が可能である。
 例えば、上記実施形態においては、クラッチオン状態でダンパー221が嵌合するダンパー溝236の溝幅W2は、クラッチオフ状態で溝幅W1がダンパー221を弾性変形させる変形量と同じ変形量で弾性変形させる溝幅に形成されている。しかし、ダンパー溝236は、クラッチウエイト230がクラッチアウター240に対して離隔したクラッチオフ位置でダンパー221が嵌合する溝幅W1よりもクラッチウエイト230がクラッチアウター240に押し付けられたクラッチオン位置でダンパー221が嵌合する溝幅W2がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の前方側に広がって形成されていればよい。したがって、クラッチオン状態でダンパー221が嵌合するダンパー溝236の溝幅W2は、クラッチオフ位置で溝幅W1がダンパー221を弾性変形させる変形量よりも少ない変形量で弾性変形させるまたは弾性変形させることがない溝幅に形成することもできる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、ダンパー溝236は、クラッチオフ状態とクラッチオン状態との間の各移行過程において、クラッチウエイト230のクラッチシュー233がクラッチアウター240の円筒面241に接触した際の前方側壁236b側のダンパー221の圧縮変形量がその前後に対して少なくなるように構成した。これにより、クラッチウエイト230は、クラッチオフ状態からドライブプレート210の径方向外側に変位する際およびドライブプレート210の径方向内側に変位してクラッチアウター240から離隔する際における摺動抵抗を下げて変位し易くすることができる。
 しかし、ダンパー溝236は、クラッチオフ状態とクラッチオン状態との間の各移行過程において、ダンパー221の圧縮変形量を一定にすることもできる。この場合、ダンパー溝236は、例えば、クラッチウエイト230のクラッチシュー233がクラッチアウター240の円筒面241に接触した際にダンパー221が接触する前方側壁236bの部分をダンパー溝236の内側に部分的に張り出す曲面に形成することでダンパー221の圧縮変形量を増加させることができる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、ダンパー溝236は、後方側壁236aがクラッチウエイト230がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側に変位した際にダンパー221に対して離隔する曲面に形成されている。しかし、後方側壁236aは、クラッチウエイト230がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側に変位した際にダンパー221に対して接触を維持するように形成することもできる。すなわち、ダンパー溝236は、後方側壁236aおよび前方側壁236bをそれぞれ2つ以上の曲率の曲面でそれぞれ構成することができる。この場合、ダンパー溝236は、後方側壁236aを構成する2つ以上の曲面のうちの少なくとも1つと前方側壁236bを構成する2つ以上の曲面のうちの少なくとも1つとが同じ位置を中心とする円弧かなる曲面で構成することができる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、ダンパー溝236における前方側壁236bは、クラッチシュー233が終期状態でクラッチアウター240に接触した際にダンパー221との接触部分よりも長い長さで形成されている。しかし、前方側壁236bは、クラッチシュー233が終期状態でクラッチアウター240に接触した際にダンパー221との接触部分までの長さに形成することもできる。これによれば、遠心クラッチ200は、クラッチウエイト230を小型化して軽量化することができる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、遠心クラッチ200は、ドライブプレート210に設けられたプレート側カム体218を回転自在なローラで構成するとともに、クラッチウエイト230に形成されたウエイト側カム体235を曲面で構成した。すなわち、遠心クラッチ200は、互いに摺動し合って一対のカムを構成するプレート側カム体218およびウエイト側カム体235をそれぞれ曲面で構成した。しかし、プレート側カム体218およびウエイト側カム体235は、互いに摺動し合って一対のカムを構成していればよい。したがって、遠心クラッチ200は、プレート側カム体218およびウエイト側カム体235の少なくとも一方を直線的な平面形状に形成して構成することもできる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、プレート側カム体218は、ドライブプレート210上で回転自在なローラで構成した。しかし、プレート側カム体218は、ドライブプレート210の外周部から外側に張り出して形成されてウエイト側カム体235を介してクラッチウエイト230を外側に押し出す形状であってドライブプレート210の回転駆動軸方向に延びる面、換言すれば、ドライブプレート210の板面に対して起立してクラッチウエイト230側に延びる面を有して構成されていればよい。
 つまり、プレート側カム体218およびウエイト側カム体235は、少なくとも一方がドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側に向かってドライブプレート210の外側に延びて形成されていればよい。この場合、プレート側カム体218およびウエイト側カム体235は、ドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側に向かうとともにドライブプレート210の外側に延びた部分がプレート側カム体218およびウエイト側カム体235の全体または部分的に形成されていればよい。したがって、遠心クラッチ200は、例えば、プレート側カム体218をドライブプレート210に対して回転摺動不能な固定状態で構成することができる。
 また、プレート側カム体218は、樹脂材料以外の材料、例えば、金属材料(例えば、炭素鋼、鉄系焼結材またはアルミニウム材など)で構成することができる。この場合、プレート側カム体218は、カム体支持ピン217またはウエイト側カム体235と同じ材料で構成してもよいし、カム体支持ピン217またはウエイト側カム体235とは異なる材料で構成することができる。また、プレート側カム体218は、カム体支持ピン217および/またはウエイト側カム体235を構成する材料よりも摩耗し易い材料で構成することにより、カム体支持ピン217および/またはウエイト側カム体235の摩耗を抑えることができる。また、プレート側カム体218は、カム体支持ピン217および/またはウエイト側カム体235を構成する材料よりも摺動性が良い材料(例えば、アルミニウム材)で構成することにより、カム体支持ピン217とウエイト側カム体235との間の摺動性を向上させることができる。また、プレート側カム体218は、耐熱性および耐摩耗性を有する材料(例えば、金属材料またはセラミック材)で構成することもできる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、遠心クラッチ200は、揺動支持ピン214をドライブプレート210に設けるとともに、ピン摺動孔231をクラッチウエイト230に設けて構成した。しかし、揺動支持ピン214およびピン摺動孔231は、一方がドライブプレート210またはクラッチウエイト230に設けられるとともに、他方がクラッチウエイト230またはドライブプレート210に設けられていればよい。したがって、遠心クラッチ200は、揺動支持ピン214をクラッチウエイト230に設けるとともに、ピン摺動孔231をドライブプレート210に設けて構成することもできる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、ピン摺動孔231は、円弧状の貫通孔で構成した。しかし、ピン摺動孔231は、クラッチウエイト230のクラッチシュー233がクラッチアウター240の円筒面241から最も離隔した状態(図6参照)においてクラッチウエイト230のドライブプレート210の回転駆動方向の後方側への変位を許容する長孔に形成されていればよく、必ずしも上記実施形態に限定されるものではない。
 したがって、ピン摺動孔231は、ドライブプレート210の径方向に直交する接線方向に延びる直線状に形成することもできる。また、ピン摺動孔231は、一方が開口するとともに他方が塞がれた所謂止り穴で構成することもできる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、支点側摺動部材215は、樹脂材料を円筒状に形成して揺動支持ピン214の外周部に回転摺動可能な状態で設けた。換言すれば、支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214に対してローラとして機能するように構成した。しかし、支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214とピン摺動孔231との間に設けられて両者を摺動変位させるように構成されていればよい。
 したがって、支点側摺動部材215は、樹脂材料以外の材料、例えば、金属材料で構成することができる。この場合、支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214またはピン摺動孔231と同じ材料で構成してもよいし、揺動支持ピン214またはピン摺動孔231とは異なる材料で構成することができる。この場合、支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214および/またはピン摺動孔231を構成する材料よりも摩耗し易い材料で構成することにより、揺動支持ピン214および/またはピン摺動孔231の摩耗を抑えることができる。また、支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214および/またはピン摺動孔231を構成する材料よりも摺動性が良い材料(例えば、アルミニウム材)で構成することにより、揺動支持ピン214とピン摺動孔231との間の摺動性を向上させることができる。また、支点側摺動部材215は、耐熱性および耐摩耗性を有する材料(例えば、金属材料またはセラミック材)で構成することもできる。
 また、支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214の外周部に回転摺動不能な固定状態で設けることができる。この場合、支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214に嵌合する筒状に形成してもよいし、揺動支持ピン214に切欠き部分を形成しておき、この切欠き部分に嵌合する平面状または円弧状に延びる板状に形成することもできる。また、支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214に形成した切欠き部分に樹脂材料をインサート成形して構成することもできる。さらに、揺動支持ピン214自体およびピン摺動孔231自体のうちの一方を樹脂材料で構成することもできる。なお、支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214の外周部に回転摺動可能に構成することにより、揺動支持ピン214に組み付け易いとともに摺動抵抗を抑えることができる。
 また、支点側摺動部材215は、揺動支持ピン214に加えてまたは代えてピン摺動孔231に設けることもできる。また、遠心クラッチ200は、支点側摺動部材215を省略して揺動支持ピン214とピン摺動孔231とを直接嵌合させて摺動させるように構成することもきできる。

Claims (5)

  1.  エンジンの駆動力を受けてドリブンプーリとともに一体的に回転駆動するドライブプレートと、
     前記ドライブプレートの外側にこのドライブプレートと同心で設けられた円筒面を有するクラッチアウターと、
     前記ドライブプレートの周方向に沿って延びて形成されて前記クラッチアウターの円筒面に面するクラッチシューを有して前記周方向における一方の端部側が前記ドライブプレート上に揺動支持ピンおよびピン摺動孔を介して回動可能に取り付けられるとともに他方の端部側が前記クラッチアウターの円筒面側に向かって変位するクラッチウエイトと、
     前記ドライブプレートに同ドライブプレートの回転駆動軸方向に延びる面を有したプレート側カム体と、
     前記クラッチウエイトに設けられて前記クラッチウエイトの前記他方の端部側の変位の際に前記プレート側カム体上を摺動して乗り上げるウエイト側カム体と、
     前記ドライブプレートに前記クラッチウエイトに面して設けられた弾性体からなるダンパーと、
     前記クラッチウエイトに溝状に形成されて前記クラッチウエイトが前記クラッチアウターに対して接近または離隔する回動変位方向に沿って延びて前記ダンパーが摺動自在に挟んだ状態で嵌合するダンパー溝とを備え、
     前記揺動支持ピンは、
     前記ドライブプレートおよび前記クラッチウエイトのうちの一方に設けられて前記ドライブプレートおよび前記クラッチウエイトのうちの他方側に延びて形成されており、
     前記ピン摺動孔は、
     前記ドライブプレートおよび前記クラッチウエイトのうちの他方に設けられるとともに前記クラッチウエイトの前記一方の端部側の前記ドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側への変位を許容する長孔状に形成されて前記揺動支持ピンが摺動変位自在に嵌合しており、
     前記ダンパー溝は、
     前記クラッチウエイトが前記クラッチアウターに対して離隔したクラッチオフ位置で前記ダンパーが嵌合する溝幅よりも前記クラッチウエイトが前記クラッチアウターに押し付けられたクラッチオン位置で前記ダンパーが嵌合する溝幅が前記ドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の前方側に広がって形成されていることを特徴とする遠心クラッチ。
  2.  請求項1に記載した遠心クラッチにおいて、
     前記ダンパー溝は、
     前記クラッチウエイトが前記クラッチオン位置で前記ダンパーが嵌合する溝幅が前記クラッチオフ位置で前記ダンパーを弾性変形させる変形量以下で弾性変形させる溝幅に形成されていることを特徴とする遠心クラッチ。
  3.  請求項1または請求項2に記載した遠心クラッチにおいて、
     前記ダンパー溝は、
     同ダンパー溝を構成する前記ドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に形成された後方側壁と前記ドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の前方側に形成された前方側壁とが互いに異なる位置を中心とする円弧からなる曲面で構成されていることを特徴とする遠心クラッチ。
  4.  請求項1ないし請求項3のうちのいずれか1つに記載した遠心クラッチにおいて、
     前記ダンパー溝は、
     同ダンパー溝を構成する前記ドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の前方側に形成された前方側壁の長さが前記クラッチシューが摩耗が進んで使用限界に近い終期状態で前記クラッチアウターに接触した場合における前記ダンパーとの接触部分よりも長い長さで形成されていることを特徴とする遠心クラッチ。
  5.  請求項1ないし請求項4のうちのいずれか1つに記載した遠心クラッチにおいて、
     前記ダンパー溝は、
     同ダンパー溝を構成する前記ドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に形成された後方側壁が前記クラッチウエイトが前記ドライブプレートの回転駆動方向の後方側に変位した際に前記ダンパーに対して離隔するように形成されていることを特徴とする遠心クラッチ。
