Definitions
- Switch for an electrical appliance in particular for a power tool, with a controller for adjusting the speed of the electrical appliance, wherein in a contact space of a switch housing a circuit board is arranged, wherein the controller cooperates with electrical components of the circuit board, preferably with control contacts in the contact space on tracks of the circuit board is applied, and wherein the controller is actuated by means of a slider.
- Such a switch is known from DE 10 2015 113 949 A1. Such switches are used for example as a multiple switch in electrical appliances, especially in drills, cordless screwdrivers and other electric hand tools or even in household appliances.
- the controller is adjustable via a linear, displaceable against a restoring force control.
- Sliders are known, which are arranged directly with a power circuit of the electrical appliance or in a operated with low voltage and low current control circuit. In the low voltage and low current operated sliders provide a proportional to the position of the slider running output signal, which is supplied to a power electronics. This amplifies the output signal and supplies it to a drive unit of the electrical appliance. For example, the speed of the power tool can be adjusted via the slider.
- the slider includes known from the prior art multiple switch another switching element for Switching the direction of rotation of the drive unit or for switching on / off the electrical device. In this case, these switching elements often engage in the power circuit of the electrical appliance. Alternatively, it can be provided that the switching elements are arranged in the control circuit and their switching signals are forwarded to the power electronics accordingly.
- the well-known slider forms a potentiometer, so it is designed as a variable resistance with sliding contacts. The sliding contacts are connected by means of a mechanical translation with the control.
- the document discloses a capacitive encoder with a housing attachable to a circuit board.
- the housing has a receptacle in which a slider is movably mounted.
- the slider is permanently arranged in a reference region between a first measuring electrode and an opposite ground electrode.
- the slider is introduced more or less far into a measuring range between a second measuring electrode and a second ground electrode, wherein the ground electrodes of the reference and of the measuring range can be embodied as a one-piece electrode.
- the change in the capacitance between the electrodes arranged in the measuring region and the capacitance between the electrodes arranged in the reference region during a movement of the slide is evaluated.
- the measuring electrodes can be arranged on the circuit board, while the ground electrode is integrated in the lid of the housing.
- Both the described capacitive displacement sensor and the ohmic displacement sensor operate in a control circuit at low currents and voltages. In both, even slight contamination of the contacts and the electrodes lead to disturbances and thus to a malfunction of the controlled electrical appliance.
- the required further switching elements are integrated into the control circuit. Switches are realized according to known arrangements via two arranged on the circuit board, open contact surfaces, which can be bridged by a conductive bridge. This inexpensive construction has However, the disadvantage that dust and dirt that enters the area of the contact surfaces, the contact resistance between the contact surfaces and the bridge can change so much that the function of the switch is disturbed. A disturbance occurs especially at the low voltages and currents used in the control circuit already at relatively low levels of contamination.
- the operating element is pressed against a restoring force in a switch housing during actuation of the slide control and pushed back on discharge to a stop from the switch housing.
- space is displaced in the switch housing and released again.
- This creates a pumping effect in which the air pressure in the switch housing changes.
- air is displaced from the housing and then sucked in again. Due to the sucked air, dirt and dust are drawn into the switch housing even through the smallest openings and cracks.
- the amount of dust thus introduced into the switch housing or dirt is many times greater than the amount which penetrates into the switch housing without actuation of the operating element and thus without aspirated air.
- the dirt and dust settle in particular on the open contacts of the control circuit and cause interference.
- the controller is rotatably mounted and the sliding movement of the slider is converted by means of a gear in a rotational movement of the controller, and that the slider is held and guided outside the contact space.
- the fact that the slide is held and guided outside of the contact space it is prevented that caused by the adjusting movement of the slide, a change in the air volume in the contact space.
- the rotatable arrangement of the controller in the contact space leads to no change in volume. As a result, pumping effects are prevented over the dust would be sucked into the contact space. In this way, a high-dustproof switch can be realized, which is characterized by a high level of operational reliability in the smallest space.
- a housing part of the switch housing in a bearing receptacle rotatably receives a converter, and that the converter has a driver, by means of which it is rotatably connected to the controller directly or indirectly.
- the implementation of the linear movement of the slider in the rotational movement of the converter can be realized in the smallest space.
- the converter it is also conceivable, in particular, for the converter to have one or more fastening elements in the region of the contact space via which the regulator is coupled, and for the fastening element (s) preferably to have a latching projection by means of which the regulator is locked to a latching receptacle.
- the fastening element (s) preferably to have a latching projection by means of which the regulator is locked to a latching receptacle.
- a mechanical coupling in the gearbox between the slide and the converter can be realized simply by the converter having one or more actuators on its side facing away from the contact space, and the actuator or actuators interacting with actuator receivers to implement the linear movement of the slider in a rotational movement of the converter (100) to effect.
- the actuating elements or the actuating element receptacles can in this case also be formed in particular by a toothed gear, with a toothed wheel or a partial toothed wheel meshing with a toothed rack.
- the converter has a stop which rests in the issued rest position of the slider on a counter surface of the slider to limit the adjusting movement of the slider.
- the rotary mounting of the converter can be realized in a simple manner in that the converter has a base part, that the base part has a circumferential side wall, by means of which the converter is rotatably inserted into a bearing receptacle of the housing part.
- the housing part outside the contact space has a sliding surface for the slider, and that connect directly or indirectly to the sliding surface one or more guides, wherein in the guide of the slide is guided linearly with a guide piece, then the slide degree be performed exactly in the housing part and the manufacturing tolerances between the slide and the converter can be minimized in favor of a reliable function.
- the housing part has a bottom wall which is arranged at a distance to a wall element of the housing part, and that between the bottom wall and the wall element, the sliding guide is formed for the slide, then the slide is stably held and guided and in particular Also insensitive to transverse loads acting transversely to the direction of adjustment.
- the mounting and fixing of the slider on the housing part in a simple manner by the fact that the housing part in the bottom wall has an opening that is inserted through the opening of the converter in a bearing receptacle in the wall element, and that in the inserted position of the converter at least one Actuator engages in a fastener receiving.
- the housing part has an integrally formed spring holder, in which a restoring spring (50) is accommodated, which biases a switching element (300) connected to the slide (303).
- a preferred variant of the invention is such that the regulator has a sliding surface in the region of a rear side facing away from the printed circuit board, which bears on a wall surface of the housing part to form a sliding guide.
- the controller has a non-symmetrical in cross-section driver receptacle, and that the converter engages with a driver, which also has an asymmetrical cross-section, in the driver receptacle, then a rotationally fixed assignment of the controller is effected to the converter in a simple manner
- a multiple switch can be characterized in that in the contact space a rotatable positioning element is held, which in the region of one of the front has recordings, that are held in the receptacles contact elements of a right-left switch, and that the contact elements are preferably in contact with mating contacts of the circuit board.
- the rotatable positioning also causes no change in volume in the contact space, so that the high density is guaranteed.
