Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an articulated modular helmet of the regulated and approved for the driving of motorcycles, quads or similar vehicles that is equipped with mechanisms that allow automatic movement with remote control of the three classic mobile elements of the usual modular helmets which are the transparent screen, the sun visor and the chin protector module.
  • the rider can act on any of them with voice commands, a command on the handlebars of the motorcycle, within easy reach or by means of a keypad installed in the helmet itself.

  • the helmet is one of the fundamental safety elements for motorcycle users although it is strange that the responsible authorities have not decided to implement strict rules of use until there has been no exponential increase in this class of two-wheeled vehicles .

  • Modular helmets have the advantage that the pilot can raise the chin guard at certain moments of quieter driving or hot days. They have experienced interesting improvements as the oldest ones required the use of both hands to lift the chin guard by having a closure on each side. Manufactured now with a single central closure allows the chin guard to be lifted with one hand. All are equipped with a transparent screen that is also manipulated with one hand.

  • An invention is also known entitled "Modular helmet for motorcyclist with automatic chin guard closure” with patent number ES-2635076 A1, which describes an integral helmet that, when circulating with the chin guard raised, automatically closes in case of an accident or at the pilot's will, at any time. In other words, it only refers to the closure and not to the opening without including neither the transparent screen nor the sun visor.

It is convenient to raise it when entering tunnels because when the lighting decreases sharply, vision is lost with the consequent danger.
  • the possibility offered by the present invention to easily order the rise of the sun visor (7) with a simple voice command is an important advantage in terms of security.

  • a detail that the inventor has taken into account in a more advanced embodiment is to include an interlocking or closing of the chin guard (9), when the chin guard is lowered, as this increases the safety in case of an accident.
  • the closing is released by an electromagnet and when the chin guard (9) goes to the lowered position, the closing is automatic slip type.
