Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé de séparation d'acier/magnétite. Le système comprend au moins une trémie d'alimentation (1), au moins un tamis vibrant (5) de séparation de taille de particules, qui envoie des particules inférieures ou égales à 60 mm en taille vers un premier sous-système de séparation (6) d'acier versus magnétite et des particules supérieures à 60 mm vers un second sous-système de séparation (8), le premier sous-système de séparation (6) comprenant, une bande transporteuse (6c) et une pluralité de capteurs (6d) disposés sous la bande (6c); le second sous-système de séparation (8) comprenant une pluralité de canaux (8b) montés sur un système vibrant (8c) installé au niveau de la zone de l'extrémité d'alimentation des canaux (8b), à la fin de la section de la trajectoire de particules de chaque canal (8b) étant disposée une pièce de rechange en un polymère dur, résistant à l'abrasion, permettant de mieux faire glisser la matière vers la zone de séparation unitaire, laquelle est constituée d'une plaque de séparation métallique résistante à l'abrasion, une pluralité de détecteurs (8c) d'acier parmi du minerai de magnétite, montés à la fin de la ligne de transport des quatre canaux (8b), chaque plaque de séparation étant physiquement fixée à une tige d'un vérin pneumatique (8d).
