Definitions

  • the object of this Invention Patent Application is intended for civil construction and applies to concrete or mixed steel and concrete structures.
  • the object consists of a constructive arrangement characterized by a steel component with a series of holes, through which it is spiraled by a helical reinforcement bar, applied to compose elements and mixed connections of steel and concrete.
  • the object of the invention has the effect of facilitating the integration between steel and reinforced concrete components, providing the execution of new mixed elements and new parts for mixed connections, with gains in practicality of assembly and structural performance in relation to solutions currently available.
  • the present invention offers a practical alternative to the aforementioned methods, allowing a faster process of integration of the steel, reinforcement and concrete profile, including for cruciform profiles partially surrounded by concrete.
  • a helical bar is adopted as armature, which is continuously spiraled through holes along the steel profile, ensuring, quickly and without welds, continuity of transversal reinforcement and integration between the constituent parts of the mixed element.
  • Another advantage that the present invention can provide is the possibility of eliminating the need for welded connectors to resist the longitudinal shear between the steel profile and the concrete. This is possible because the steel component and the concrete can be connected in a rigid and resistant way through the holes in the steel component, since these, when crossed by the helical bar and filled by the concrete, constitute a connection with an analogous function to the one of sheared pins.
  • This connection means was designed to couple concrete slabs and steel beams in patent EP0215148A1, “Connection means for mixed concrete structures”, which, in its summary, describes: “Profiles are welded to the table of a steel beam in the longitudinal direction and inserted into the concrete of the slab.
  • the parts of the profile that project perpendicularly to the beam table are provided with continuous holes at narrow intervals.
  • the concrete that passes through the holes, such as pins makes shear connections in two planes between the concrete slab and the profile, through which shear forces can be transmitted in any direction on the beam plane. This prevents the concrete slab from being raised, so that, in principle, no special connectors are needed to provide tensile-resistant connection between the beam table and the concrete slab.
  • the effect of horizontal concrete pins can be increased by means of screws and / or reinforcement bars that are inserted through the holes. ”.
  • Parts for screw splicing on concrete pillars The parts currently available for screw splicing on concrete pillars have their fundamental characteristics set out in patent RU2244789C1, “Reinforced concrete pillar, top splice for pillars and top splice execution method ", which, in its summary, describes:” Pillar characterized by a concrete element with longitudinal reinforcements arranged along the entire length of the pillar. In the pillar, stirrups and auxiliary reinforcement at the ends are included. Transverse steel sheets are arranged at the ends of the pillar and connected to the concrete element using anchor bars. The longitudinal reinforcements are not fixed to the end plates. Steel angles are fixed to the steel sheets forming niches next to the plates on the sides of the pillar.
  • the niches are arranged symmetrically around the axis of the column. In these niches of the end plates, holes are drilled to make the screw connections to promote the splice between the upper and lower columns.
  • the pillar may have a circular or prismatic section.
  • the transverse plates connected to the ends of the column can be increased in thickness by additional plates in the region in the niches delimited by the angles. ”. In this configuration, the resistance and stiffness of the splice to stresses and bending moment are limited by the number of screws that can be distributed along the edges of the end plate and by the flexion stiffness of the end plate, since the plate undergoes flexion to transmit the tensile stresses of the anchor bars to the bolts.
