- the MCE electronic control module includes means for processing the MTR signal which, from an adapted calibration of the amplified signals, making it possible to define a reference value (a threshold, a setpoint, etc.), determine whether the fraction of FLU luminous flux emerging from the LCD layer, CCL, and which actually emerges outside the output screen EPR2, by comparing this fraction to the reference value. This comparison makes it possible to diagnose non-failure of the LCD, CC layer, if, for example, this fraction is greater than a threshold, a setpoint, etc. Conversely, if a drop in the expected flow or an insufficient fraction of the FLU flow is below the threshold, the setpoint, ... then a total or partial failure of the LCD, CCL layer, is diagnosed.
- a reference value a threshold, a setpoint, etc.
- the means for processing the signal MTR are capable of detecting failure situations of the LCD, CCL layer.
- the number and distribution of PDI photodiodes facing the periphery of the EPR2 output screen are optimized depending on the geometry of the EPR2 output screen, the desired accuracy, and the electronic characteristics of the display components.
- Figure 5 illustrates schematically an example of PDI photodiodes distribution (six PDI photodiodes are represented by circles) on the periphery of the EPR2 output screen.
- the LCD, CCL layer is delimited by a rectangular rim inscribed inside the EPR2 output screen.
- the electronic control module MCE controls the FLU luminous flux generated by the matrix of LEDs, MAL, at a determined pulsation frequency (not perceptible by an observer) and only processes the signals from the PDI photodiodes which are synchronous with this frequency. This optimizes the signal / noise ratio and therefore the efficiency of the diagnosis.
- the object of the present invention is of course not limited to the application mentioned in the preamble to the present description but can be applied to any LCD display requiring optimal quality control.

Description
Description
[Fig. 1 ] déjà décrite, représente un dispositif de signalisation arrière de véhicule à afficheur LCD connu de l’état de l’art ;
[Fig. 2] déjà décrite, représente une vue en perspective d’un afficheur LCD de l’état de l’art ;
