  • C57BL/6J (wt) and C3H/HeJ (Pde6b rd1 / rd1 ) mice between 4-12 months old were used in this study. Both male and female mice were incorporated into the studies randomly. All non-human mammals were treated in accordance with the ARVO Statement for the Use of Animals in Ophthalmic and Vision Research and all animal experiments were conducted following approved protocols by the institutional animal care and use committee at the University of Washington.

Abstract

[0084] Conformément à des modes de réalisation, la présente invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés destinés à mesurer l'acuité visuelle d'une rétine. En fonctionnement, un dispositif de stimulus visuel peut présenter à une rétine une pluralité de stimuli visuels. Un dispositif informatique peut enregistrer les réponses aux stimuli visuels rétiniens en réponse aux stimuli visuels présentés à la rétine. Les réponses aux stimuli visuels enregistrées sont utilisées pour entraîner un modèle d'apprentissage machine. Le niveau de précision du modèle d'apprentissage machine est déterminé, le niveau de précision indiquant l'acuité visuelle de la rétine. À l'aide de l'indication de l'acuité visuelle de la rétine, un traitement correcteur pour une déficience visuelle, comprenant, mais en y étant limité, des lunettes correctrices, une thérapie chimique restauratrice et/ou une chirurgie correctrice, peut être recommandé.
