Abstract

冷却装置における目詰まりの継続または冷却性能低下によりメンテナンスが必要である旨を報知することが可能な作業機械を提供する。 ラジエータ31およびオイルクーラ32を備えたホイールローダ1において、ラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32の目詰まりの継続状態について判定するコントローラ5,5Aを備え、コントローラ5,5Aは、外気温度AWおよび冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWに基づいて、ラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32が目詰まりを起こしているか否かを判定し、エンジン30の作動中における目詰まりの発生割合R1,R2に基づいて目詰まりが継続しているか否かを判定し、目詰まりが継続していると判定された場合に、警報ブザー61やユーザー管理システム62に対してメンテナンスが必要である旨の報知を指令する報知指令信号を出力する。

Description

作業機械
 本発明は、エンジンの冷却水を冷却するラジエータや作業機を作動させるための作動油を冷却するオイルクーラ等の冷却装置を備える作業機械に関する。
 作業機械には、外気を取り込んで冷却装置に送風する冷却ファンが搭載されているが、作業機械が用いられる現場は塵埃等が舞いやすいため、冷却ファンは外気と共に塵埃等を車体内部に取り込んでしまう。塵埃等が冷却装置に送り込まれると冷却装置が目詰まりを起こし、作動油やエンジンの冷却水がオーバーヒートする可能性がある。
 そこで、例えば、特許文献1には、エンジン冷却風の吸気口の防塵網を通るエンジン冷却風の風速を風速センサーにより検出し、防塵網に目詰まりが発生して風速センサーによる検出風速が設定風速以上になると制御手段が駆動回路に警報装置を作動させるべき信号を出力し、警報装置が作動して防塵網の清掃を行うように警報する作業車が開示されている。防塵網の清掃は、エンジン冷却風を取り入れてエンジン冷却用ラジエータに供給するエンジン冷却ファンを逆回転方向に駆動して吸気口に向けて送風し、吸気口の防塵網に付着している塵埃を吹き落とすことにより行う。

 しかしながら、特許文献1に記載の作業車は、防塵網に目詰まりが発生したことを検出したときに警報装置を作動させるものであり、防塵網における目詰まりが継続状態にあるか否かについては判定していない。したがって、防塵網のメンテナンスが必要である旨がオペレータに報知されないため、オペレータは、防塵網のメンテナンスを行うべき状況であるかを判断することができない。
 そこで、本発明の目的は、冷却装置における目詰まりまたは冷却性能低下の継続により、メンテナンスが必要である旨を報知することが可能な作業機械を提供することにある。
 上記の目的を達成するために、本発明は、本体と、前記本体に搭載されたエンジンと、前記本体に取り付けられ油圧により駆動される作業機と、少なくとも前記エンジンを冷却する冷却水または前記作業機を作動させる作動油を冷却する冷却装置と、外気を取り込んで前記冷却装置に送風する冷却ファンと、を備えた作業機械において、外気の温度を検出する外気温度センサと、少なくとも前記冷却水の温度または前記作動油の温度を検出する流体温度センサと、前記冷却装置における目詰まりの継続状態について判定するコントローラと、前記冷却装置における目詰まりの継続により前記冷却装置のメンテナンスが必要である旨を報知する報知装置と、を備え、前記コントローラは、前記外気温度センサで検出された外気温度および前記流体温度センサで検出された流体温度に基づいて、前記冷却装置が目詰まりを起こしているか否かを判定し、前記エンジンの作動中における前記冷却装置の目詰まりの発生割合に基づいて、前記冷却装置にて目詰まりが継続しているか否かを判定し、前記冷却装置にて目詰まりが継続していると判定された場合に、前記報知装置に対して前記冷却装置のメンテナンスが必要である旨の報知を指令する報知指令信号を出力することを特徴とする。
 本発明によれば、冷却装置における目詰まりまたは冷却性能低下の継続により、メンテナンスが必要である旨を報知することができる。上記した以外の課題、構成及び効果は、以下の実施形態の説明により明らかにされる。

 以下、本発明の各実施形態に係る作業機械の一態様として、例えば露天掘り鉱山等において、土砂や鉱物等を掘削してダンプトラック等へ積み込む荷役作業を行うホイールローダについて説明する。
<ホイールローダ1の全体構成>
 まず、ホイールローダ1の全体構成について、図1を参照して説明する。
 図1は、本発明の各実施形態に係るホイールローダ1の外観を示す側面図である。
 ホイールローダ1は、車体(本体)が中心付近で中折れすることにより操舵されるアーティキュレート式の作業車両である。具体的には、車体の前部となる前フレーム1Aと車体の後部となる後フレーム1Bとが、センタジョイント10によって左右方向に回動自在に連結されており、前フレーム1Aが後フレーム1Bに対して左右方向に屈曲する。
 前フレーム1Aには左右一対の前輪11Aが、後フレーム1Bには左右一対の後輪11Bが、それぞれ設けられており、車体全体で4つの車輪を備える。なお、図1では、4つの車輪のうち、左側の前輪11Aおよび左側の後輪11Bのみを示している。
 前フレーム1Aの前部には、油圧により駆動される作業機2が取り付けられている。作業機2は、前フレーム1Aに基端部が取り付けられたリフトアーム21と、リフトアーム21を駆動する2つのリフトアームシリンダ22と、リフトアーム21の先端部に取り付けられたバケット23と、バケット23を駆動するバケットシリンダ24と、リフトアーム21に回動可能に連結されてバケット23とバケットシリンダ24とのリンク機構を構成するベルクランク25と、2つのリフトアームシリンダ22やバケットシリンダ24へ圧油を導く複数の配管(不図示)と、を有している。なお、2つのリフトアームシリンダ22およびバケットシリンダ24はそれぞれ、作業機2を駆動する油圧アクチュエータの一態様である。
 2つのリフトアームシリンダ22はそれぞれ、作動油が流出入してロッド220が伸縮することにより、リフトアーム21を前フレーム1Aに対して上下方向に回動させる。リフトアーム21は、2つのリフトアームシリンダ22それぞれのボトム室に作動油が供給されてロッド220が伸びることにより上方向に回動し、2つのリフトアームシリンダ22それぞれのロッド室に作動油が供給されてロッド220が縮むことにより下方向に回動する。なお、図1では、車体の左右方向に並ぶ2つのリフトアームシリンダ22のうち、左側に配置されたリフトアームシリンダ22のみを破線で示している。
 バケットシリンダ24は、作動油が流出入してロッド240が伸縮することにより、バケット23をリフトアーム21に対して上下方向に回動させる。バケット23は、バケットシリンダ24のボトム室に作動油が供給されてロッド240が伸びることによりチルト(リフトアーム21に対して上方向に回動)し、バケットシリンダ24のロッド室に作動油が供給されてロッド240が縮むことによりダンプ(リフトアーム21に対して下方向に回動)する。なお、バケット23は、例えばブレード等の各種アタッチメントに交換することができ、バケット23を用いた掘削作業の他に、押土作業や除雪作業等の各種作業を行うことが可能である。
 後フレーム1Bには、オペレータが搭乗する運転室12と、後述するエンジンや油圧ポンプ、コントローラ等の各機器を内部に収容する機械室13と、車体が傾倒しないように作業機2とのバランスを保つためのカウンタウェイト14と、が設けられている。後フレーム1Bにおいて、運転室12は前部に、カウンタウェイト14は後部に、機械室13は運転室12とカウンタウェイト14との間に、それぞれ配置されている。機械室13内における後側には、エンジンを冷却する冷却水や作業機2を作動させる作動油を冷却するための冷却ユニット3が搭載されている。
<冷却ユニット3の構成>
 次に、冷却ユニット3の構成について、図2を参照して説明する。
 図2は、冷却ユニット3の一構成例を示す構成図である。
 冷却ユニット3は、エンジン30と、エンジン30を冷却する冷却水を冷却する冷却装置としてのラジエータ31と、作業機2を作動させる作動油を冷却する冷却装置としてのオイルクーラ32と、外気(冷却風)を取り込んでラジエータ31およびオイルクーラ32に送風する冷却ファン33と、冷却ファン33を駆動させる冷却ファン駆動装置39と、を備えている。
 冷却ファン駆動装置39は、冷却ファン33を回転させる油圧モータ34と、油圧モータ34に作動油を供給する油圧ポンプ35と、油圧ポンプ35から油圧モータ34へ供給される作動油の流れる方向を切り換える方向切換弁36と、油圧モータ34の回転速度を調整する可変リリーフ弁37と、を含んで構成される。
 ラジエータ31は、冷却ファン33から送り込まれた冷却風との間で熱交換を行い、エンジン30によって熱せられた冷却水を冷却する。ラジエータ31で冷却された冷却水は再びエンジン30に戻る。冷却水の温度は、ラジエータ31の入口側に設けられた冷却水温度センサ41で検出される。
 同様に、オイルクーラ32は、冷却ファン33から送り込まれた冷却風との間で熱交換を行い、油圧ポンプ35とは異なる荷役用油圧ポンプ(不図示)から吐出されて各油圧アクチュエータによって熱せられた作動油を冷却する。オイルクーラ32で冷却された作動油は作動油タンク38に戻る。作動油の温度は、オイルクーラ32の入口側に設けられた作動油温度センサ42で検出される。なお、作動油温度センサ42は、必ずしもオイルクーラ32の入口側に設けられる必要はなく、例えば作動油タンク38内に設けられていてもよい。
 エンジン30は、オペレータがイグニッションスイッチ121をONに操作することにより作動(始動)し、さらにアクセルペダル122を踏み込むことにより回転する。エンジン30の回転数はアクセルペダル122の踏込量に比例しており、アクセルペダル122の踏込量が大きくなるにつれてエンジン30の回転数も増加する。イグニッションスイッチ121およびアクセルペダル122はいずれも、運転室12(図1参照)内に設けられている。
 油圧ポンプ35は、出力軸30Aを介してエンジン30に接続されており、エンジン30の回転力により駆動される。油圧ポンプ35の吐出流量はエンジン30の回転数に応じて変動し、エンジン30の回転数が増加するにつれて油圧ポンプ35の吐出流量が増大する。本実施形態では、油圧ポンプ35には固定容量型の油圧ポンプが用いられている。
 方向切換弁36は、電磁式の方向切換弁であり、油圧ポンプ35と油圧モータ34との間に設けられている。具体的には、方向切換弁36は、吐出管路301により油圧ポンプ35の吐出口に、一対の接続管路302A,302Bにより油圧モータ34の流出入口に、それぞれ接続されている。また、方向切換弁36は、排出管路303により作動油タンク38に接続されている。
 方向切換弁36は、コントローラ5から出力された切換指令信号にしたがって、油圧モータ34を正回転させる正回転位置Lと油圧モータ34を逆回転させる逆回転位置Mとが所定の間隔時間で切り換わる。これにより、油圧モータ34の出力軸34Aを介して油圧モータ34に接続された冷却ファン33が、所定の間隔時間で繰り返し正逆回転する。
 方向切換弁36が正回転位置Lに切り換わると、図2に示すように、油圧ポンプ35から吐出された作動油は吐出管路301および一方の接続管路302Aを介して油圧モータ34に供給され、油圧モータ34に供給された作動油は他方の接続管路302Bおよび排出管路303を介して作動油タンク38に排出される。これにより、油圧モータ34は正方向に回転する。
 他方、方向切換弁36が逆回転位置Mに切り換わると、油圧ポンプ35から吐出された作動油は吐出管路301および他方の接続管路302Bを介して油圧モータ34に供給され、油圧モータ34に供給された作動油は一方の接続管路302Aおよび排出管路303を介して作動油タンク38に排出される。これにより、油圧モータ34は逆方向に回転する。
 可変リリーフ弁37は、電磁式の可変リリーフ弁であり、吐出管路301と排出管路303との間に設けられている。可変リリーフ弁37は、コントローラ5から出力された指令信号にしたがって、油圧ポンプ35から油圧モータ34へ供給される作動油の最高圧を規定し、油圧ポンプ35の吐出側の圧力を制御する。これにより、油圧モータ34の回転速度が制御されて冷却ファン33の回転速度を調整することができる。吐出管路301には、油圧ポンプ35の吐出側の圧力を検出する圧力センサ43が設けられている。
 ホイールローダ1は塵埃等が舞いやすい作業現場で使用されることが多く、冷却ファン33は、外気と共に塵埃等を機械室13内に取り込んでしまう。そこで、ラジエータ31およびオイルクーラ32にはそれぞれ、塵埃等の侵入を防止するための防塵フィルタ(不図示)が冷却ファン33に対向する側に設けられている。防塵フィルタが目詰まりを起こすと冷却性能が低下し、冷却水や作動油がオーバーヒートする可能性がある。
 そこで、ホイールローダ1では、コントローラ5により方向切換弁36を制御して冷却ファン33を所定の間隔時間で繰り返し正逆回転させて、防塵フィルタに詰まった塵埃等を除去している。なお、本実施形態では、コントローラ5は、所定の間隔時間について、冷却ファン33が正回転している時間と逆回転している時間とを合わせた時間として設定しているが、これに限らず、例えば冷却ファン33が正回転している時間を所定の間隔時間として設定し、その後に所定の時間だけ逆回転を行うこととしてもよい。
 コントローラ5には、冷却水温度センサ41で検出された冷却水温度CW、作動油温度センサ42で検出された作動油温度HW、および外気温度センサ44で検出された外気温度AWがそれぞれ入力され、ラジエータ31やオイルクーラ32の目詰まりの判定に用いられる。外気温度センサ44は、外気が触れる車体の外表面(例えば後フレーム1Bの側面)の所定の位置に設けられている。
 さらに、コントローラ5は、ラジエータ31やオイルクーラ32の目詰まりの発生だけでなく、ラジエータ31やオイルクーラ32における目詰まりの継続状態についても判定し、警報ブザー61やユーザー管理システム62に対してラジエータ31やオイルクーラ32のメンテナンスが必要である旨の報知を指令する報知指令信号を出力している。
 警報ブザー61は、運転室12(図1参照)内に設けられており、コントローラ5から出力された報知指令信号に基づいて警報を出し、ラジエータ31やオイルクーラ32において目詰まりが継続しており点検が必要である旨をオペレータに報知する。
 ユーザー管理システム62は、ホイールローダ1を所有するユーザー側に設置された管理システムであり、通信網62Aを介してコントローラ5と接続され、コントローラ5から出力された報知指令信号に基づいたサービス点検レポートを受信する。
 警報ブザー61およびユーザー管理システム62はそれぞれ、ラジエータ31やオイルクーラ32における目詰まりの継続によりメンテナンスが必要である旨を報知する報知装置の一態様である。なお、報知装置は、ラジエータ31やオイルクーラ32における目詰まりの継続によるメンテナンスの必要性を報知することができるものであれば警報ブザー61やユーザー管理システム62に限られない。以下、コントローラ5の機能構成について実施形態ごとに説明する。
<第1実施形態>
 本発明の第1実施形態に係るコントローラ5の機能構成について、図3~7を参照して説明する。
(コントローラ5の構成)
 まず、コントローラ5の構成について、図3および図4を参照して説明する。
 図3は、第1実施形態に係るコントローラ5が有する機能を示す機能ブロック図である。図4(a)及び図4(b)は、冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWと冷却ファン33の正逆回転の間隔時間との関係を示すタイミングチャートであり、図4(a)は低温条件下の場合、図4(b)は高温条件下の場合である。
 コントローラ5は、CPU、RAM、ROM、HDD、入力I/F、および出力I/Fがバスを介して互いに接続されて構成される。そして、イグニッションスイッチ121といった各種の操作装置、および冷却水温度センサ41、作動油温度センサ42、および外気温度センサ44といった各種のセンサ等が入力I/Fに接続され、方向切換弁36や警報ブザー61およびユーザー管理システム62等が出力I/Fに接続されている。
 このようなハードウェア構成において、ROMやHDD若しくは光学ディスク等の記録媒体に格納された制御プログラム(ソフトウェア)をCPUが読み出してRAM上に展開し、展開された制御プログラムを実行することにより、制御プログラムとハードウェアとが協働して、コントローラ5の機能を実現する。
 なお、本実施形態では、コントローラ5をソフトウェアとハードウェアとの組み合わせによって構成されるコンピュータとして説明しているが、これに限らず、例えば他のコンピュータの構成の一例として、ホイールローダ1の側で実行される制御プログラムの機能を実現する集積回路を用いてもよい。
 図3に示すように、コントローラ5は、データ取得部50と、エンジン状態判定部51と、目詰まり発生判定部52と、間隔時間設定部53と、間隔時間記憶部54と、逆回転回数カウント部55と、目詰まり発生割合算出部56と、目詰まり継続判定部57と、閾値記憶部58と、指令信号出力部59と、を含む。
 データ取得部50は、イグニッションスイッチ121から出力された操作信号、冷却水温度センサ41で検出された冷却水温度CW、作動油温度センサ42で検出された作動油温度HW、および外気温度センサ44で検出された外気温度AWに関するデータをそれぞれ取得する。
 エンジン状態判定部51は、データ取得部50で取得されたイグニッションスイッチ121からの操作信号に基づいて、イグニッションスイッチ121のON状態またはOFF状態、すなわちエンジン30の動作状態を判定する。
 目詰まり発生判定部52は、外気温度判定部52Aと、流体温度判定部52Bと、を含み、エンジン状態判定部51でエンジン30が作動している(イグニッションスイッチ121がON状態である)と判定された場合に、外気温度判定部52Aおよび流体温度判定部52Bの判定結果に基づいて、少なくともラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32が目詰まりを起こしているか否かを判定する。
 外気温度判定部52Aは、データ取得部50で取得された外気温度AWが所定の外気温度閾値AWth(以下、単に「外気温度閾値AWth」とする)よりも低いか否かを判定する。なお、外気温度AWが外気温度閾値AWthよりも低い場合を「低温条件下」とし(AW<AWth)、外気温度AWが外気温度閾値AWth以上となる場合を「高温条件下」とする(AW≧AWth)。
 流体温度判定部52Bは、外気温度判定部52Aで外気温度AWが外気温度閾値AWthよりも低い低温条件下である(AW<AWth)と判定された場合、データ取得部50で取得された冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが所定の第1流体温度閾値W1(以下、単に「第1流体温度閾値W1」とする)に達しているか否かを判定する。そして、流体温度判定部52Bは、冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第1流体温度閾値W1に達していた場合(CW≧W1またはHW≧W1)には、その後、冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第1流体温度閾値W1よりも低い所定の第3流体温度閾値W3(以下、単に「第3流体温度閾値W3」)以下に下がったか否かを判定する。
 図4(a)に示すように、第1流体温度閾値W1は、低温条件下における高温側の基準値であり、例えば91℃に設定されている。第3流体温度閾値W3は、低温条件下における低温側の基準値であり、例えば88℃に設定されている。
 また、流体温度判定部52Bは、外気温度判定部52Aで外気温度AWが外気温度閾値AWth以上となる高温条件下である(AW≧AWth)と判定された場合、データ取得部50で取得された冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが所定の第2流体温度閾値W2(以下、単に「第2流体温度閾値W2」とする)に達しているか否かを判定する。そして、流体温度判定部52Bは、冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第2流体温度閾値W2に達していた場合(CW≧W2またはHW≧W2)には、その後、冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第2流体温度閾値W2よりも低い所定の第4流体温度閾値W4(以下、単に「第4流体温度閾値W4」)以下に下がったか否かを判定する。
 図4(b)に示すように、第2流体温度閾値W2は、高温条件下における高温側の基準値であり、例えば95℃に設定されている。第4流体温度閾値W4は、高温条件下における低温側の基準値であり、例えば90℃に設定されている。
 ここで、第1~第4流体温度閾値W1~W4はそれぞれ、エンジン30とラジエータ31とを接続する管路上に設けられて当該管路を開閉するサーモスタットが全閉から全開するまでの冷却水温度の範囲(例えば85~95℃)に基づいて設定されている。
 具体的には、第1流体温度閾値W1および第3流体温度閾値W3には、サーモスタットが全閉から全開するまでの冷却水温度の範囲のうち低温条件下に対応した冷却水温度の範囲が設定されている。第2流体温度閾値W2および第4流体温度閾値W4には、サーモスタットが全閉から全開するまでの冷却水温度の範囲のうち高温条件下に対応した冷却水温度の範囲が設定されている。
 したがって、図4(a)および図4(b)に示すように、第1流体温度閾値W1は第2流体温度閾値W2よりも低く(W1<W2)、第3流体温度閾値W3は第4流体温度閾値W4よりも低い(W3<W4)。なお、第1流体温度閾値W1はサーモスタットが全開となる冷却水温度(95℃)以下の範囲内で、第2流体温度閾値W2はサーモスタットが全開となる冷却水温度(95℃)以上の範囲内で、それぞれ設定されている。
 目詰まり発生判定部52は、外気温度判定部52Aで低温条件下である(AW<AWth)と判定され、かつ流体温度判定部52Bで冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第1流体温度閾値W1に達している(CW≧W1またはHW≧W1)と判定された場合、または外気温度判定部52Aで高温条件下である(AW≧AWth)と判定され、かつ流体温度判定部52Bで冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第2流体温度閾値W2に達している(CW≧W2またはHW≧W2)と判定された場合、少なくともラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32が目詰まりを起こしている(以下、単に「目詰まり発生中」とする)と判定する。
 なお、本実施形態では、第1流体温度閾値W1および第2流体温度閾値W2はいずれも、エンジン30を冷却する冷却水または作業機2を作動させる作動油がオーバーヒートする際の温度Wmax(例えば105℃)よりも低く設定されているため(W1<WmaxおよびW2<Wmax)、オペレータやユーザーは、エンジン30を冷却する冷却水または作業機2を作動させる作動油が実際にオーバーヒートする前にその予兆を把握することができる。
 そして、目詰まり発生判定部52は、外気温度判定部52Aで低温条件下である(AW<AWth)と判定されており、かつ流体温度判定部52Bで冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第3流体温度閾値W3以下に下がった(CW≦W3またはHW≦W3)と判定された場合、または外気温度判定部52Aで高温条件下である(AW≧AWth)と判定されており、かつ流体温度判定部52Bで冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第4流体温度閾値W4以下に下がった(CW≦W4またはHW≦W4)と判定された場合、ラジエータ31およびオイルクーラ32にて目詰まりが解消した(以下、単に「目詰まり解消」とする)と判定する。
 間隔時間設定部53は、エンジン状態判定部51でエンジン30が作動している(イグニッションスイッチ121がON状態である)と判定された場合に、冷却ファン33を正逆回転させる所定の間隔時間(以下、単に「間隔時間」とする)を通常間隔時間T1に設定する。この通常間隔時間T1は、初期設定された間隔時間であり、例えば30分に設定される。
 また、図4(a)および図4(b)に示すように、間隔時間設定部53は、目詰まり発生判定部52で目詰まり発生中と判定された場合に、冷却ファン33を正逆回転させる間隔時間を通常間隔時間T1よりも短い短縮間隔時間T2(例えば20分)に設定する。そして、目詰まり発生判定部52で目詰まり解消と判定された場合には、冷却ファン33を正逆回転させる間隔時間を短縮間隔時間T2から通常間隔時間T1に戻す(解除する)。間隔時間記憶部54は、通常間隔時間T1および短縮間隔時間T2をそれぞれ記憶している。
 逆回転回数カウント部55は、エンジン30の作動中において、指令信号出力部59が逆回転指令信号を方向切換弁36に対して出力した回数を数える。逆回転指令信号は、冷却ファン33を正回転から逆回転に切り換えるための指令信号である。
 より具体的には、逆回転回数カウント部55は、エンジン30の作動中において指令信号出力部59が逆回転指令信号を方向切換弁36に対して出力した累積の出力回数TN(以下、単に「累積出力回数TN」とする)、および目詰まり発生判定部52で目詰まり発生中と判定されている間において指令信号出力部59が逆回転指令信号を方向切換弁36に対して出力した目詰まり信号の出力回数CN(以下、単に「目詰まり信号出力回数CN」とする)をそれぞれカウントする。
 目詰まり発生割合算出部56は、エンジン状態判定部51でエンジン30が停止した(イグニッションスイッチ121がOFF状態である)と判定された場合に、逆回転回数カウント部55でカウントされた累積出力回数に対する目詰まり信号出力回数の割合R1(=CN/TN)、すなわちエンジン30の作動中における目詰まりの発生割合R1(以下、単に「目詰まり発生割合R1」とする)を算出する。
 目詰まり継続判定部57は、目詰まり発生割合算出部56で算出された目詰まり発生割合R1に基づいて、少なくともラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32にて目詰まりが継続しているか否かを判定する。具体的には、目詰まり継続判定部57は、目詰まり発生割合算出部56で算出された目詰まり発生割合R1が所定の割合閾値R1th(以下、単に「割合閾値R1th」とする)以上であるか否かを判定する。割合閾値R1thは、例えば60%に設定されている。
 閾値記憶部58は、外気温度閾値AWth、第1~第4流体温度閾値W1~W4、および割合閾値R1thをそれぞれ記憶している。
 指令信号出力部59は、間隔時間設定部53で設定された間隔時間、すなわち通常間隔時間T1または短縮間隔時間T2で冷却ファン33が正逆回転するように切換指令信号を方向切換弁36に対して出力する。なお、切換指令信号は、前述した逆回転指令信号と、冷却ファン33を逆回転から正回転に切り換えるための正回転指令信号と、を含む。
 また、指令信号出力部59は、目詰まり継続判定部57で少なくともラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32にて目詰まりが継続している(以下、単に「目詰まり継続中」とする)と判定された場合に、警報ブザー61およびユーザー管理システム62に対して報知指令信号を出力する。
(コントローラ5内での処理)
 次に、コントローラ5内で実行される具体的な処理の流れについて、図5~7を参照して説明する。
 図5は、第1実施形態に係るコントローラ5で実行される全体処理の流れを示すフローチャートである。図6は、第1実施形態に係るコントローラ5で実行される目詰まり継続判定処理の流れを示すフローチャートである。図7は、第1実施形態における目詰まりの継続判定の方法を説明する説明図である。
 図5に示すように、まず、エンジン状態判定部51は、データ取得部50で取得されたイグニッションスイッチ121からの操作信号に基づいて、エンジン30が作動したか否かを判定する(ステップS501)。
 ステップS501においてエンジン30が作動したと判定されると(ステップS501/YES)、間隔時間設定部53は、冷却ファン33を正逆回転させる間隔時間を通常間隔時間T1に設定し、指令信号出力部59は、通常間隔時間T1に基づいた切換指令信号を方向切換弁36に対して出力する(ステップS502)。なお、ステップS501においてエンジン30が作動したと判定されなかった場合(ステップS501/NO)は、エンジン30が作動するまでステップS502以降に進まない。
 このとき、逆回転回数カウント部55は、ステップS502において出力される切換指令信号のうちの逆回転指令信号の出力回数をカウントする(ステップS503)。
 次に、データ取得部50は、外気温度センサ44で検出された外気温度AW、冷却水温度センサ41で検出された冷却水温度CW、作動油温度センサ42で検出された作動油温度HWをそれぞれ取得する(ステップS504)。
 次に、外気温度判定部52Aは、ステップS504で取得される外気温度AWが外気温度閾値AWthよりも低いか否かを判定する(ステップS505)。ステップS505において外気温度AWが外気温度閾値AWthよりも低い(AW<AWth)と判定された場合(ステップS505/YES)、すなわち低温条件下である場合、流体温度判定部52Bは、ステップS504で取得される冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第1流体温度閾値W1以上であるか否かを判定する(ステップS506)。
 ステップS506において冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第1流体温度閾値W1以上である(CW≧W1またはHW≧W1)と判定された場合(ステップS506/YES)、すなわち目詰まり発生中と判定されたことから、間隔時間設定部53は、冷却ファン33を正逆回転させる間隔時間を短縮間隔時間T2に設定し、指令信号出力部59は、短縮間隔時間T2に基づいた切換指令信号を方向切換弁36に対して出力する(ステップS507)。
 次に、流体温度判定部52Bは、ステップS504で取得される冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第3流体温度閾値W3以下になったか否かを判定する(ステップS508)。ステップS508において冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第3流体温度閾値W3以下になった(CW≦W3またはHW≦W3)と判定された場合(ステップS508/YES)、すなわち目詰まり解消と判定されたことから、間隔時間設定部53は、冷却ファン33を正逆回転させる間隔時間を通常間隔時間T1に設定(短縮間隔時間T2の設定を解除)し、指令信号出力部59は、通常間隔時間T1に基づいた切換指令信号を方向切換弁36に対して出力する(ステップS509)。
 なお、ステップS508において冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第3流体温度閾値W3よりも高い(CW>W3またはHW>W3)と判定された場合(ステップS508/NO)は、冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第3流体温度閾値W3以下になるまでステップS507に戻って処理を繰り返す。
 ステップS506において冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第1流体温度閾値W1よりも低い(CW<W1またはHW<W1)と判定された場合(ステップS506/NO)は、目詰まり発生中ではないため、ステップS509に進む。
 他方、ステップS505において外気温度AWが外気温度閾値AWth以上である(AW≧AWth)と判定された場合(ステップS505/NO)、すなわち高温条件下である場合、流体温度判定部52Bは、ステップS504で取得される冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第2流体温度閾値W2以上であるか否かを判定する(ステップS510)。
 ステップS510において冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第2流体温度閾値W2以上である(CW≧W2またはHW≧W2)と判定された場合(ステップS510/YES)、すなわち目詰まり発生中と判定されたことから、ステップS507と同様に、間隔時間設定部53は、冷却ファン33を正逆回転させる間隔時間を短縮間隔時間T2に設定し、指令信号出力部59は、短縮間隔時間T2に基づいた切換指令信号を方向切換弁36に対して出力する(ステップS511)。
 次に、流体温度判定部52Bは、ステップS504で取得される冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第4流体温度閾値W4以下になったか否かを判定する(ステップS512)。ステップS512において冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第4流体温度閾値W4以下になった(CW≦W4またはHW≦W4)と判定された場合(ステップS512/YES)、すなわち目詰まり解消と判定されたことから、ステップS509と同様に、間隔時間設定部53は、冷却ファン33を正逆回転させる間隔時間を通常間隔時間T1に設定し、指令信号出力部59は、通常間隔時間T1に基づいた切換指令信号を方向切換弁36に対して出力する(ステップS513)。
 なお、ステップS512において冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第4流体温度閾値W4よりも高い(CW>W4またはHW>W4)と判定された場合(ステップS512/NO)は、冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第4流体温度閾値W4以下になるまでステップS511に戻って処理を繰り返す。
 ステップS510において冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第2流体温度閾値W2よりも低い(CW<W2またはHW<W2)と判定された場合(ステップS510/NO)、目詰まり発生中ではないため、ステップS513に進む。
 ステップS509またはステップS513における処理後、エンジン状態判定部51は、データ取得部50で取得されたイグニッションスイッチ121から
の操作信号に基づいて、エンジン30が停止したか否かを判定する(ステップS514)。ステップS514においてエンジン30が停止したと判定された場合(ステップS514/YES)、目詰まり継続判定処理に進む(ステップS700)。ステップS514においてエンジン30が停止したと判定されなかった場合(ステップS514/NO)、すなわちエンジン30がまだ作動中である場合は、ステップS502に戻って処理を繰り返す。
 図6に示すように、目詰まり継続判定処理(ステップS700)では、まず、目詰まり発生割合算出部56が、図5に示すステップS503でカウントされる逆回転指令信号の出力回数に基づいて、逆回転指令信号の累積出力回数TNに対する目詰まり信号出力回数CNの割合R1(=CN/TN)、すなわち目詰まり発生割合R1を算出する(ステップS701)。
 次に、目詰まり継続判定部57は、ステップS701で算出された目詰まり発生割合R1が割合閾値R1th以上であるか否かを判定する(ステップS702)。ステップS702において目詰まり発生割合R1が割合閾値R1th以上である(R1≧R1th)と判定された場合(ステップS702/YES)、すなわち目詰まりが継続していることから、指令信号出力部59は、警報ブザー61に対して報知指令信号を出力すると共に(ステップS703)、ユーザー管理システム62に対して報知指令信号を出力する(ステップS704)。これにより、コントローラ5は、目詰まり継続判定処理(ステップS700)を終了すると共に、全体の処理を終了する。
 ステップS702において目詰まり発生割合R1が割合閾値R1thよりも少ない(R1<R1th)と判定された場合(ステップS702/NO)、すなわち目詰まりは継続していないことから、コントローラ5は、目詰まり継続判定処理(ステップS700)を終了すると共に、全体の処理を終了する。
 例えば、図7では、外気温度AWが25℃の場合、すなわち低温条件下におけるエンジン30の1日の稼働時間当たりの目詰まりの継続状態を示している。図7に示すように、エンジン30が始動(作動)してから停止するまでの間において、指令信号出力部59が方向切換弁36に対して出力した逆回転指令信号は、(1)~(8)の8回であり、そのうち目詰まり発生中に指令信号出力部59が方向切換弁36に対して出力した逆回転指令信号は(2)~(7)の6回である。
 したがって、目詰まり発生割合R1は75%(=6/8×100%)となり、割合閾値R1th(=60%)よりも大きいため、コントローラ5は、目詰まりが継続していると判定して、警報ブザー61およびユーザー管理システム62に対して報知指令信号を出力する。そして、警報ブザー61およびユーザー管理システム62といった報知装置が、少なくともラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32にて目詰まりが継続しておりメンテナンスが必要である旨をオペレータやユーザーに対して報知することにより、オペレータやユーザーは、ラジエータ31やオイルクーラ32のメンテナンスを行うべき状況であることを判断することができる。
 なお、ホイールローダ1は、1日の作業においてエンジン30の作動および停止を繰り返すことがあるため、図7に示すように、エンジン30の作動中における目詰まり発生割合R1をエンジン30の1日当たりの稼働時間で算出すると、目詰まりの継続を精度よく判定することができる。また、エンジン30の作動中における目詰まり発生割合R1をエンジン30の1か月当たりの稼働時間で算出してもよく、変形例として後述する。
 また、本実施形態では、目詰まり発生判定部52において目詰まり発生と判定された場合には、間隔時間設定部53は、冷却ファン33の正逆回転の間隔時間を通常間隔時間T1よりも短い短縮間隔時間T2に設定するため(T2<T1)、目詰まり発生中における逆回転指令信号の出力回数が増えて目詰まり発生割合R1も増え、目詰まりの継続をより精度よく判定することができる。
<第2実施形態>
 次に、本発明の第2実施形態に係るコントローラ5Aの機能構成について、図8~11を参照して説明する。図8~11において、第1実施形態に係るホイールローダ1について説明したものと共通する構成要素については、同一の符号を付してその説明を省略する。
 図8は、第2実施形態に係るコントローラ5Aが有する機能を示す機能ブロック図である。図9は、第2実施形態に係るコントローラ5Aで実行される全体処理の流れを示すフローチャートである。図10は、第2実施形態に係るコントローラ5Aで実行される目詰まり継続判定処理の流れを示すフローチャートである。図11は、第2実施形態における目詰まりの継続判定の方法を説明する説明図である。なお、図11では、図7と同様に、外気温度AWが25℃の場合、すなわち低温条件下におけるエンジン30の1日の稼働時間当たりの目詰まりの継続状態を示している。
 本実施形態に係るコントローラ5Aは、目詰まりの継続判定の方法が第1実施形態に係るコントローラ5と異なる。第1実施形態に係るコントローラ5は逆回転回数カウント部55を含んでいたが、本実施形態に係るコントローラ5Aは、図8に示すように、逆回転回数カウント部55の代わりに計測部550を含んでいる。計測部550は、エンジン作動時間計測部550Aと、目詰まり判定時間計測部550Bと、を含む。
 エンジン作動時間計測部550Aは、エンジン30が作動している時間ET(以下、単に「エンジン作動時間ET」とする)を計測する。
 具体的には、図9に示すように、ステップS501においてエンジン30が作動したと判定されると(ステップS501/YES)、エンジン作動時間計測部550Aはエンジン作動時間ETの計測を開始する(ステップS515)。そして、ステップS514においてエンジン30が停止したと判定されると(ステップS514/YES)、エンジン作動時間計測部550Aはエンジン作動時間ETの計測を終了する(ステップS520)。
 目詰まり判定時間計測部550Bは、目詰まり発生判定部52において少なくともラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32が目詰まりを起こしていると判定されている目詰まり判定時間JT(以下、単に「目詰まり判定時間JT」とする)を計測する。
 具体的には、図9に示すように、ステップS506において冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第1流体温度閾値W1以上である(CW≧W1またはHW≧W1)と判定された場合(ステップS506/YES)、目詰まり判定時間計測部550Bは目詰まり判定時間JTの計測を開始する(ステップS516)。そして、ステップS508において冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWが第3流体温度閾値W3以下である(CW≦W3またはHW≦W3)と判定された場合(ステップS508/YES)、目詰まり判定時間計測部550Bは目詰まり判定時間JTの計測を終了する(ステップS517)。
 本実施形態では、ステップS520においてエンジン作動時間ETの計測が終了すると、目詰まり継続判定処理(ステップS700A)に進む。図10に示すように、目詰まり継続判定処理(ステップS700A)では、目詰まり発生割合算出部56Aが、エンジン作動時間ETに対する目詰まり判定時間JTの割合R2(=JT/ET)、すなわち目詰まり発生割合R2を算出する(ステップS701A)。
 次に、目詰まり継続判定部57Aは、ステップS701Aで算出された目詰まり発生割合R2が割合閾値R2th以上であるか否かを判定する(ステップS702A)。割合閾値R2thは、例えば50%に設定されている。
 ステップS702Aにおいて目詰まり発生割合R2が割合閾値R2th以上である(R2≧R2th)と判定された場合(ステップS702A/YES)、ステップS703およびステップS704に進む。ステップS702Aにおいて目詰まり発生割合R2が割合閾値R2thよりも少ない(R2<R2th)と判定された場合(ステップS702A/NO)、目詰まり継続判定処理(ステップS700A)を終了すると共に、全体の処理を終了する。
 例えば、図11に示すように、エンジン作動時間計測部550Aで計測されたエンジン作動時間ET(図11では、エンジン30の1日当たりの稼働時間で計測)が200分であり、目詰まり判定時間計測部550Bで計測あれた目詰まり判定時間JTが124分である場合、目詰まり発生割合R2は62%(=124/200×100%)となる。したがって、目詰まり発生割合R2は割合閾値R2th(=50%)よりも大きいため、コントローラ5Aは、目詰まりが継続していると判定する。
 このように、少なくともラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32にて目詰まりが継続しているか否かを判定する際には、エンジン作動時間ETおよび目詰まり判定時間JTから算出された目詰まり発生割合R2を用いることも可能である。本実施形態に係るホイールローダ1においても、第1実施形態に係るホイールローダ1の作用および効果と同様の作用および効果を奏する。
 以上、本発明の実施形態について説明した。なお、本発明は上記した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、様々な変形例が含まれる。例えば、第2実施形態に係るコントローラ5Aの変形例について、図12(a)および図12(b)を参照して説明する。
 図12(a)および図12(b)は、変形例における冷却性能低下の判定と時間計測との関係を示すタイミングチャートであり、図12(a)は低温条件下の場合、図12(b)は高温条件下の場合である。
 上記した第2実施形態における短縮間隔時間T2および通常間隔時間T1に代えて冷却性能低下状態S2および冷却性能正常状態S1とすると、低温条件下の場合、図12(a)に示すように、コントローラ5Aは、冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温HWが第1流体温度閾値W1以上になると(CW≧W1またはHW≧W1)、ラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32の冷却性能が低下した冷却性能低下状態S2であると判定して冷却性能低下状態S2が継続している時間を累積で計測する。そして、コントローラ5Aは、冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温HWが第3流体温度閾値W3以下になると(CW≦W3またはHW≦W3)、ラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32の冷却性能が正常である冷却性能正常状態S1であると判定して冷却性能低下状態S2が継続している時間の累積計測を停止するようにしてもよい。
 同様にして、高温条件下の場合、図12(b)に示すように、コントローラ5Aは、冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温HWが第2流体温度閾値W2以上になると(CW≧W3またはHW≧W3)、冷却性能低下状態S2であると判定して冷却性能低下状態S2が継続している時間を累積で計測する。そして、コントローラ5Aは、冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温HWが第4流体温度閾値W4以下になると(CW≦W4またはHW≦W4)、冷却性能正常状態S1であると判定して冷却性能低下状態S2が継続している時間の累積計測を停止するようにしてもよい。
 また、コントローラ5Aから出力される報知指令信号に基づいたサービス点検レポートの変形例について、図13を参照して説明する。
 図13は、変形例における冷却性能の判定結果を表示する図である。
 コントローラ5Aは、エンジン作動時間ETとラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32の冷却性能が低下している時間DT(以下、単に「冷却性能低下時間DT」とする)とをそれぞれ累積時間で記録し、今月、先月、先々月のように1か月単位で冷却性能の判定結果を示してもよい。具体的には、エンジン作動時間ETに対する冷却性能低下時間DTの時間割合(=DT/ET[%])をラジエータ31またはオイルクーラ32の目詰まり判定(異常判定)の指標とし、DT/ETの数値に応じてレベル分けして目詰まりまたは冷却性能低下の段階を表示するようにしてもよい。
 例えば、DT/ETが75%以上となる場合(DT/ET≧75%)を異常なレベル3として、「冷却装置が目詰まりまたは冷却系に異常が発生しています。直ちに点検をして下さい。」等のようにサービス点検レポートに記載する。また、DT/ETが50%以上75%未満となる場合(50%≦DT/ET<70%)を異常なレベル2として、「冷却装置が目詰まりまたは冷却系に異常が発生しています。点検をして下さい。」等のようにサービス点検レポートに記載する。また、DT/ETが50%未満となる場合(DT/ET<50%)を正常なレベル1として、「冷却装置に目詰まりはありません。冷却系は正常です。」等のようにサービス点検レポートに記載してもよい。
 上記した実施形態は本発明を分かりやすく説明するために詳細に説明したものであり、必ずしも説明した全ての構成を備えるものに限定されるものではない。また、本実施形態の構成の一部を他の実施形態の構成に置き換えることが可能であり、また、本実施形態の構成に他の実施形態の構成を加えることも可能である。またさらに、本実施形態の構成の一部について、他の構成の追加・削除・置換をすることが可能である。
 例えば、上記実施形態ではラジエータ31に対して冷却水温度センサ41が、オイルクーラ32に対して作動油温度センサ42が、それぞれ設けられていたが、仮にラジエータ31が目詰まりを起こして冷却水温度CWが上昇している場合には、作動油温度HWも同様に上昇しているものであるため、冷却水温度CWおよび作動油温度HWのうちいずれかの温度をセンサにて検出しておけば十分である。したがって、ホイールローダ1は、少なくとも冷却水温度CWまたは作動油温度HWを検出する流体温度センサ(冷却水温度センサ41または作動油温度センサ42)を備えていればよい。
 また、上記実施形態では、間隔時間設定部53は、目詰まり発生判定部52で目詰まり発生中と判定された場合に、冷却ファン33を正逆回転させる間隔時間を通常間隔時間T1よりも短い短縮間隔時間T2に設定するが、必ずしも冷却ファン33を正逆回転させる間隔時間を短縮する必要はなく、通常間隔時間T1のままであってもよい。
 また、上記実施形態では、冷却ファン駆動装置39は、油圧駆動式であったが、これに限らず、電動モータを用いた電動駆動式であってもよい。また、冷却ファン33は、必ずしも冷却ファン駆動装置39を用いて駆動されなくてもよく、エンジン30の出力軸30Aに連結されることにより駆動されるものであってもよい。
 また、上記実施形態では、冷却装置の一態様として、ラジエータ31およびオイルクーラ32について説明したが、これらに限らず、例えば、トルコン駆動式の車両であればトルコン油クーラ等を含んでいてもよい。
 また、上記実施形態では、作業機械の一態様としてホイールローダ1について説明したが、これに限らず、少なくともエンジン30を冷却する冷却水または作業機2を作動させる作動油を冷却する冷却装置が搭載された作業機械(例えば、油圧ショベル等)であれば本発明を適用することが可能である。

Claims (7)

  1.  本体と、前記本体に搭載されたエンジンと、前記本体に取り付けられ油圧により駆動される作業機と、少なくとも前記エンジンを冷却する冷却水または前記作業機を作動させる作動油を冷却する冷却装置と、外気を取り込んで前記冷却装置に送風する冷却ファンと、を備えた作業機械において、
     外気の温度を検出する外気温度センサと、
     少なくとも前記冷却水の温度または前記作動油の温度を検出する流体温度センサと、
     前記冷却装置における目詰まりの継続状態について判定するコントローラと、
     前記冷却装置における目詰まりの継続により前記冷却装置のメンテナンスが必要である旨を報知する報知装置と、を備え、
     前記コントローラは、
     前記外気温度センサで検出された外気温度および前記流体温度センサで検出された流体温度に基づいて、前記冷却装置が目詰まりを起こしているか否かを判定し、
     前記エンジンの作動中における前記冷却装置の目詰まりの発生割合に基づいて、前記冷却装置にて目詰まりが継続しているか否かを判定し、
     前記冷却装置にて目詰まりが継続していると判定された場合に、前記報知装置に対して前記冷却装置のメンテナンスが必要である旨の報知を指令する報知指令信号を出力することを特徴とする作業機械。
  2.  請求項1に記載の作業機械において、
     前記冷却ファンを駆動させる冷却ファン駆動装置を備え、
     前記コントローラは、
     前記エンジンの作動中において前記冷却ファンを正回転から逆回転に切り換えるための逆回転指令信号を前記冷却ファン駆動装置に対して出力した累積の出力回数、および前記冷却装置が目詰まりを起こしていると判定されている間において前記逆回転指令信号を前記冷却ファン駆動装置に対して出力した目詰まり信号の出力回数をそれぞれカウントし、
     前記累積の出力回数に対する前記目詰まり信号の出力回数の割合に基づいて、前記冷却装置にて目詰まりが継続しているか否かを判定することを特徴とする作業機械。
  3.  請求項1に記載の作業機械において、
     前記コントローラは、
     前記エンジンの作動時間、および前記冷却装置が目詰まりを起こしていると判定されている目詰まり判定時間をそれぞれ計測し、
     前記作動時間に対する前記目詰まり判定時間の割合に基づいて、前記冷却装置にて目詰まりが継続しているか否かを判定することを特徴とする作業機械。
  4.  請求項1に記載の作業機械において、
     前記コントローラは、
     前記エンジンの作動中における前記冷却装置の目詰まりの発生割合を前記エンジンの1日当たりまたは1か月当たりの稼働時間で算出することを特徴とする作業機械。
  5.  請求項1に記載の作業機械において、
     前記冷却ファンを駆動させる冷却ファン駆動装置を備え、
     前記コントローラは、
     前記エンジンが作動すると、前記冷却ファンが初期設定された通常間隔時間で正逆回転するように切換指令信号を前記冷却ファン駆動装置に対して出力し、
     前記冷却装置が目詰まりを起こしていると判定された場合には、前記冷却ファンが前記通常間隔時間よりも短い間隔時間で正逆回転するように前記切換指令信号を前記冷却ファン駆動装置に対して出力することを特徴とする作業機械。
  6.  請求項1に記載の作業機械において、
     前記コントローラは、
     前記外気温度が所定の外気温度閾値よりも低い低温条件下において前記流体温度が所定の第1流体温度閾値に達した場合、または前記外気温度が前記所定の外気温度閾値以上となる高温条件下において前記流体温度が前記所定の第1流体温度閾値よりも高い所定の第2流体温度閾値に達した場合に、前記冷却装置が目詰まりを起こしていると判定することを特徴とする作業機械。
  7.  請求項6に記載の作業機械において、
     前記所定の第1流体温度閾値および前記所定の第2流体温度閾値はいずれも、前記冷却水または前記作動油がオーバーヒートする際の温度よりも低く設定されていることを特徴とする作業機械。
