BACKGROUND

Nowadays, taking a laboratory test is very inconvenient. There are many reasons, but the first is that the user takes the sample in places where many other people also took their sample, which prevents them from feeling safe, clean and enjoying their privacy.

A second reason why it is so annoying to perform a biological sample in a laboratory is the technique involved, which ranges from nurses to perform more than 50 tests in very short periods of time. This means that the tests are administered without tact, abruptly and with instruments that are incorrectly disinfected, inappropriate or too large. This makes sample taking difficult.

The above examples have created a culture in which taking a laboratory sample is uncomfortable, frustrating and painful. This causes women not to get tested for sexually transmitted viruses or bacteria.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The parts that make up the sampling system are the following:

Endocervical retractable brush handle 4 with self-holding, has a base 2 integrated into the handle that is inserted into a receptacle 3 with a cover 5 which keeps the brush 4 sterile until the sample is taken, the retractable endocervical brush 4 at its upper tip has bristles 4a which collect the sample.

A second receptacle 6 , which has a lid 7 and a parafilm 8 , inside the receptacle 6 carries a vehicle liquid 9 , where once the self-collection is carried out, the retractable endocervical brush will be introduced and the sample cells that will be analyzed later in the laboratory will be deposited in this liquid 9 . The second receptacle 6 , once the sample has been deposited, must be closed with the lid 7 .

A third receptacle 11 , with a lid 10 and a mesh 15 , where the second receptacle 6 is deposited. And which will keep the sample safe, providing an isolated space, which in the event that due to high ambient temperatures or an excessively strong movement the second receptacle 6 breaks, will contain any contamination, also having in its lower part an absorbent fiber 15 , which will absorb the liquid that may spill with the sample. Once the third receptacle is closed, it will be sealed with a parafilm 8 that prevents spillage by adjusting to the lid. The parafilm 8 is a sheet of semitransparent, flexible and water-resistant material that is used as a barrier against humidity. It is considered the ideal product when working with culture media.

A fourth receptacle 12 , which is a cardboard box with an internal base where the retractable endocervical brush 4 is placed, in a hole 14 and the receptacles 6 and 11 , in a hole 13 , which will facilitate its transport. Finally, this cardboard box 12 has a seal 16 and containment of the receptacle containing the sample, which after performing the self-collection, and depositing the receptacles 6 and 11 , is closed and sealed with this security seal 16 , for its transport.

In the first figures, we can see the retractable endocervical brush 4, the main part of the self-taking system. It consists of a handle 1, with an intermediate base 2 integrated into the same brush 4 that serves to isolate the retractable endocervical brush within a container 3 that keeps the brush 4 in perfect condition. For sterility and sample protection, this container 3 is a plastic cylinder, like the handle 1, which allows the brush 4 to be kept sterile.

The container 3 has a lid 5 on the top which is removed to release the brush 4. Thus, the entire piece without the lid 5 is introduced into the vaginal cavity to take the sample.

Using the following technique, if the person who will perform the self-sampling is right-handed, they should place their left leg on a step that allows them to have a 45° position to proceed to insert or push the retractable endocervical brush towards the vaginal fundus. It is important to open the brush wrapper, taking care not to touch the tip to avoid contaminating it.

Once the appropriate position has been adopted, the self-collection of the sample will be carried out, holding the retractable endocervical brush 4 in the middle part with the thumb and index fingers and inserting it into the vagina between 7-10 centimeters until it touches the cervical fundus, approximately 5 turns of 360° are made slowly and carefully towards the side of the clockwise turn and another 5 turns of 360° slowly towards the opposite side of the clockwise turn.

Remove the retractable endocervical brush 4 and insert it into the collection container 6 immediately.

Tap the endocervical retractable brush 4 against the wall of the collection vessel and discard the brush 4 .

Correctly cover the collection vessel 6, making sure that it is tightly screwed on, and shake 5 times in a circular motion to the right side and 5 times in the same motion to the left side so that the sample is homogeneous.

Insert the collecting vessel 6 and close the 2nd packaging with the lid 7 and make sure that the lid is screwed on tightly, then insert the receptacle 6 into the receptacle 11 and close, sealing with the parafilm 8. Secure the ^2nd package in hole 13 of the box for sending the sample, box 12 which is the 3rd package must be sealed with the security seal which is a security seal 16 that will be provided on the device to know that the sample has not been manipulated by anyone but only by the patient.
