  • Feature 24 The method of feature 23, wherein the contoured shape is operative to maintain the subject's spine in a standing spine position or in a neutral spine position for a time period of about 6 to about 8 hours, when the subject is in a sleeping state.
  • Feature 25 The method of feature 23, wherein the unique body surface of the subject is cradled so as to provide a neutral spine position.
  • Feature 26 The method of feature 23, wherein lying down is defined by a line drawn from the subject's head to the subject's ankle defining an angle of less than 90° with a horizontal line defined by a line drawn parallel to a surface of the Earth.
  • Feature 27 The method of feature 23, wherein lying down is the subject lying about parallel to the surface of the Earth.
  • Feature 28 The method of feature 23, wherein the neutral spine position is a same spine position that the subject will have when the subject is in a standing up straight position.
  • Feature 29 The method of feature 23, wherein the contoured shape conforms to the subject's body surface when the subject is sleeping on the subject's side, back, or stomach.
  • Feature 30 The method of feature 23, wherein the method is carried out over a period of longer than 1 year, longer than 2 years, or longer than 3 years, and wherein the subject's spine is kept in a neutral position during a long-term sleep of the subject so as to provide a health benefit to the subject outside of a sleeping time.

  • the back sleep module shape 350 can keep the spine line 250 in a neutral position. Now, after the foam is added, when the person lies on it, the foam will compress to that height, and then it perfectly matches the body.
  • the size will be too small for the sleep surface silhouette. For example, the sleep surface will be too tight in some places or too tight everywhere.
  • a similar algorithm can be utilized for stomach sleepers and for side sleepers.

Abstract

L'invention concerne des lits personnalisés conçus à des fins spécifiques comprenant des fonctions qui s'adaptent à la position et à la forme spécifiques des parties du corps d'un individu pour offrir une relaxation et maintenir la colonne vertébrale de l'individu dans une position neutre lors du sommeil à long terme. Le lit comprend une silhouette de surface de sommeil présentant une forme profilée qui correspond aux surfaces corporelles uniques de l'individu. La silhouette comprend diverses régions de support pour la tête, les épaules, les lombaires, les jambes et les pieds. Un procédé de fabrication d'un tel lit consiste à balayer la surface corporelle d'un sujet et à créer une surface de sommeil profilée qui lui correspond. Un autre procédé pour le sommeil veille à maintenir la colonne vertébrale dans une position neutre en utilisant une surface profilée qui s'ajuste au corps du sujet dans diverses positions de sommeil.
